2. Two-year-old Emile disappeared from his grandparents' house in a village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, and extensive search efforts are underway.

The search operation involves over 300 volunteers, including specialized mountain rescue teams, and the investigation is ongoing with all possible leads being explored.
3. A man was shot and killed in Hyères, Var, and three suspects were arrested in La Garde.
The prosecutor of Toulon stated that the investigation is currently focused on voluntary manslaughter by organized gang and that the suspects were found in possession of firearms.
The police will be working to unravel the complex sequence of events surrounding the crime.
4. The French government is providing support to businesses affected by recent riots in Marseille, including the possibility of canceling charges and implementing partial unemployment measures.
The Minister of Economy is calling for solidarity and understanding from insurers to expedite the claims process and reduce franchise amounts for small independent businesses.
Local institutions have allocated financial aid of up to 12 million euros to assist affected businesses, with the government urging a collective effort from insurers, banks, and local authorities to fully compensate for the damages.
5. The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis is launching a new carpooling service called "Lecovoiturage" to encourage residents to use carpooling instead of driving alone.
The service will be operated in partnership with Karos, a specialized company with over 380,000 users in France, and will focus on the home-to-work commute.
The initiative will offer financial incentives for drivers who share their vehicle and a low fare of 0.50 euro per trip for passengers, with free carpooling for RTM subscribers.
6. The program "1,2,3, Nagez !" aims to provide free swimming lessons to children in underserved areas of France, with the goal of teaching over 20,000 children to swim this summer.
The program is supported by various partners, including Paris 2024, the National Sports Agency, the French Swimming Federation, EDF, the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis, and the city of Marseille.
7. There was concern among some residents and officials in Marseille that the exterior of the Vélodrome stadium would be labeled "Paris-2024" for the upcoming Olympic Games, but the organizing committee has assured that it is not mandatory.
The mayor's deputy, Samia Ghali, expressed that it would be poorly received by the people of Marseille to have "Paris" displayed on their iconic football stadium.
The organizing committee has stated that while the Vélodrome will be decorated in the Olympic look, they are open to adapting the design and ensuring the stadium remains personalized for the city.

Introduction
Road safety is a pressing concern in urban areas, and Greater Noida is no exception. With the increasing number of vehicles and the complexity of road networks, ensuring road safety has become a critical priority. Lunima Safety Solution, a leading name in safety consulting, has launched a comprehensive Road Safety Program designed to address these challenges and improve road safety standards in Greater Noida. “Road Safety Program in Greater Noida”

Road Safety Program in Greater Noida
Why Road Safety Matters
In Greater Noida, as in many rapidly growing cities, the rise in traffic congestion and road accidents has become a significant issue. Effective road safety measures not only protect lives but also contribute to smoother traffic flow and reduced economic losses. With this in mind, Lunima Safety Solution has crafted a program that aims to make roads safer for everyone, from pedestrians to drivers.
Key Features of the Road Safety Program
Comprehensive Risk AssessmentLunima Safety Solution starts by conducting a thorough risk assessment of key roadways in Greater Noida. This involves analyzing accident hotspots, traffic flow patterns, and road infrastructure. By identifying high-risk areas, the program can tailor interventions to where they are needed most.
Public Awareness CampaignsEducating the public is crucial for any effective road safety program. Lunima Safety Solution implements a series of public awareness campaigns designed to inform drivers and pedestrians about safe practices. This includes workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions that highlight the importance of road safety rules and regulations.
Training and DevelopmentThe program includes specialized training sessions for drivers, both professional and private. These sessions focus on defensive driving techniques, adherence to traffic laws, and the importance of regular vehicle maintenance. For organizations, Lunima Safety Solution offers corporate training programs to ensure that company drivers are well-versed in road safety.
Enhanced Road Signage and InfrastructureImproving road infrastructure is a key component of the program. Lunima Safety Solution collaborates with local authorities to upgrade road signage, improve traffic signals, and enhance road markings. These changes help in making roads more navigable and reduce the likelihood of accidents.
Emergency Response PlanningIn the event of an accident, a quick and effective response can save lives. The program includes developing and implementing emergency response plans, which involve coordination with local emergency services. This ensures that accidents are handled swiftly and efficiently, minimizing the impact on victims and traffic flow.
Regular Monitoring and EvaluationRoad safety is an ongoing concern, and Lunima Safety Solution emphasizes the importance of regular monitoring and evaluation. The program includes periodic reviews of road safety measures and their effectiveness. Adjustments are made based on the latest data and feedback, ensuring that the program remains relevant and effective.
The Impact of the Program
Since its inception, the Road Safety Program by Lunima Safety Solution has already begun to show positive results in Greater Noida. By addressing key issues such as public awareness, driver training, and road infrastructure, the program has contributed to a noticeable decrease in road accidents and improvements in overall road safety. “Road Safety Program in Greater Noida”

Town of Saugus Tackles Pavement Improvement Projects to Improve Roadway Safety and Traffic Flow
I am pleased to announce that the Town of Saugus will undergo a series of pavement improvement projects within several areas of Town over the upcoming months in an effort to ensure that the Town’s streets are in the best possible condition.
The Department of Public Works will oversee pavement milling, overlay paving, and roadway reclamation on various main and side roadways throughout Town. The work will begin mid-September and should finish by the beginning of November, weather dependent. Parking will be limited in work zones during construction work, and traffic detours will be established as required to allow for this work to proceed.
Ensuring the functionality and safety of the Town’s roadways is always of critical importance. Safe roadways improve traffic flow and reduce congestion and accidents, which will benefit Town residents and visitors every day, making it easier for everyone to get to where they need to be.
The Town would like to thank residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this construction project.
For more information, please contact the Department of Public Works at 781-231-4145.

News from Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, 10 July
The Bruce Ave., Fifth St. intersection in Nanaimo is experiencing increased traffic and safety concerns, leading to the need for better control and infrastructure improvements.
A roundabout was considered but not feasible due to space constraints, so the city opted for a signalized intersection that can accommodate pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles.
The project includes left turn bays on all approaches, with the possibility of adding dedicated green turn arrows in the future if necessary.
2. The strike at British Columbia's ports has entered its second week, leading to a rally in Vancouver in support of the workers.
International labour leaders will join the rally to call for a negotiated contract settlement with the BC Maritime Employers Association.
The strike, involving over 7,400 workers at 30+ ports, was prompted by issues such as pay, maintenance work, contracting out, and automation.
3. The Township of Spallumcheen has opened an emergency operations centre and ordered the evacuation of 18 properties due to an out-of-control wildfire.
The spike in wildfire activity in the province's interior is attributed to lightning strikes and dry conditions.
Residents in the affected area should leave immediately, while others on the west side of the road should be prepared for possible evacuation.
4. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is visiting Latvia to meet with the country's leaders and Canadian troops, highlighting Canada's commitment to its NATO obligations.
The Canada-led NATO battle group in Latvia, consisting of around 800 Canadian Armed Forces members, is the largest overseas mission, demonstrating NATO's efforts to increase deterrence measures and presence near Russia.
The upcoming addition of a Leopard 2 tank squadron with 15 tanks and 130 personnel to the mission further reinforces NATO's response to the invasion of Ukraine and its commitment to regional security.
