Do you think Hyde's inner has another form, beside the jelly thing? If so, what do you think it is? It's something I've been wondering for a while :3

Oh, you weren't here when I got a similar ask and I said yes and it started a debate on greed's second form with drawings and theories that ended up in shipping lawless with inner greed?

But yes, yes I think so. I think all inners have two forms and it's this fact that gives the servamps their second form too, the animal form.

As for what he might look like... I imagine him as either something that resembles Lawless or this fancy demon with horns and a tail and covered in jewelry who tries to act cocky and dark but ends up being rather goofy.

ok this is going to be a long list tho so buckle up:

Succubus Mahiru AU, inspired by @yarrayora 's bc i love it and would love to hear theirs. plz. I wanna hear about it so bad.

Kuro Has Too Many Exes AU, where the usual "Mahiru drags home a human!kuro" and gets into a situationship that turns into a relationship with him and he meets all of kuro's exes (the other servamps, gear, germaine) and helps him deal with all of that.

The Game (i havent figured out a cool name for this au yet) AU where there is this huge reality tv show that doubles as a romance/job hunting thing where people or companies will hunt someone of their choosing for either romance or to recruit. The people chasing are hunters and the people running are prey and the goal of the prey is to run around the country to avoid getting caught by the hunters for as long as they can for a guarantied better life and a heafty cash prize. The goal of the hunters is to try and capture their desired prey and if they succeed, they date or recruit them. Mahiru finds himself nominated by japan internet to be prey and he does it.

"Haunted House" Au where the Servamps arent vampires but still immortal and they get sentient houses out of it. I love this one.

Mahiru And The Witch's Broom Au, based off the movie Mary and the Witches Flower. An Au where Mahiru breaks his broom so he buys another that turns out to be a magic broom that broomnaps him into the magical world hidden from non-magic humans. He had picked up a normal "cat" the same day and the cat, Kuro, got broomnapped with him. Mahiru becomes a witch and its chaos, I love it.

There's also my Welcome To Demon School, Iruma-Kun au for Servamp. Akira made a deal with a demon, Tooru, when Mahiru was born in order to help take care of him and give him a family, Tooru gets attached to Akira and they both end up concidering themselves siblings and so obviously he loves his sister very much as well as his adorable nephew Mahiru. Akira dies and their both heartbroken, Tooru doesnt let go of the Shirota Visage and stays in the human world (illegally) to care for Mahiru. Shit happens and Mahiru gets sucked into the demon world and he isnt able to go back. There starts his new school life!

MY CORALINE AU, OF COURSE!!!!!

Mine and @pinkestlittlebutterfly 's Candy House au, which is a more mafia setting post-Tsubaki defeating that has all the demons being human apart from their servamps and each respective demon-servamp has History with each other. Sloth, named Rowan here, ends up falling in love with Mahiru in an attempt to steal away the thing Kuro loves the most. No, they are not related here but everything is great and Fibi's ideas are *mwah* CHEF'S KISS.

We also made a Fae Au together that i adore just as much.

My self-indulgent Sloth Pair move-out au where they get a really nice but trashed house they renovate and its very lovey dovey and domestic and a bit angsty bc Mahiru's never really been anywhere but Tooru's apartment and also Touma makes Tooru miss Mahiru's move-out day when they finally fix their house up. Also they somehow swindle C3 into paying their bills for saving japan.

The Bakery Au where Mahiru opens his own small bakery/resturaunt and takes in Kuro and attracts very annoying people because of it. They all love his cooking. Kuro ends up learning and helping Mahi along with Sakuya. Tho I admit that this au is a little half-baked..... ;3

The Au where Mahiru takes Sakuya up on his request to start a band together and their love gets stronger and stronger with each song and mishap they make and get into.

Love Is Stored In The Cat AU, where Kuro gets moved into the apartment next to Mahiru by a worried Lily, finds a random cat in his apartment one day that got into his house through the faulty balcony door, ends up meeting mahiru because thats his cat and they start talking and its really cute. This is a Kuro healing au.

That Au where C3 buys a place to make all of the Pairs + Team M live in together. Its a very big, nice, high tech house with more than enough space for all of them and their individual preferences but we all know thats not going to stop any chaos and sibling drama. It has a huge, high tech kitchen that I swear Mahiru is in love with. Hed marry it, theres so much space. Also there are a lot of other rooms for activities! Team M has a room dedicated to their game nights.

My IB au, following the game, Mahiru goes on a school field trip to a new museum and gets sucked in to the world of Germaine's paintings. In this au, Germaine immortalizes the servamps through art.

And there's of course the AU where Germaine gets a body of his very own and due to very tough and unfortunate circumstances, Mahiru makes a contract with him! Kuro is not happy.

Then there's the Merfolk Au i have where all the Eves are merfolk instead of the other way around.

Thaaaaaaaat's all I can think of rn. So yeah. Also GET THE HELL OFF MY TUMBLR NICCOLO!!! WE WERE IN CLASS SITTING NEXT TO EACH OTHER WHEN U SENT ME THIS STHAP. cant believe i didnt see you do that.

A Ring of Roses || Chapter 5

Fandom: Servamp Ship: KuroMahi, LawLicht Characters: Kuro, Mahiru, Inner Sloth, Hyde, Licht

Summary: Mahiru has a cursed tattoo on his back, marking him as a sacrifice. He will be given to the demon, Sloth, and eaten. To avoid his fate, Mahiru asks Kuro to marry him. (KuroMahi, Fantasy AU)

When Kuro woke up, the bed felt hotter than usual. He opened his eyes and found Mahiru sleeping beside him. Kuro was too surprised to move away from him at first. He laid close enough for him to smell the subtle scent of roses in his brown hair. He started to slowly sit up but then Mahiru’s hand held onto his shirt. While he could pull his shirt from his light grip, he worried that he would wake him. He considered if it would be better for him to simply go back to sleep.

“My endless joy…” Mahiru mumbled in his sleep and he wondered what he could be dreaming of. The flowers of the greenhouse reacted to his words and rose petals fell from the headboard and landed on the pillow. He recognized the spell that he had taught him the previous night. His magic was far too powerful for a human to wield and it flowed out of him even in his sleep. The thought weighed down on Kuro with the reminder that he married Mahiru to keep Sloth from eating his magic.

Careful not to wake him, Kuro slipped out of their bed. He wasn’t a morning person but he needed to prepare for his trip to the countryside and fighting the Yetis. His family had made a contract with the kingdom to protect them in exchange for a sacrifice. He found the agreement troublesome considering how rare it was for them to find a human with a cursed tattoo. However, he didn’t argue with Sloth’s decision. Kuro wished he had stopped him centuries ago before he saw how eating the power changed his twin.

He took off his shirt and then he heard a soft gasp behind him. He turned around to face Mahiru who was now awake on the bed. Mahiru tried to hide how flustered he was but there was a light blush on his cheeks. “Good morning, Kuro. It’s a little surprising to wake up and find someone half naked in my room. I’m not used to having a roommate.”

When Mahiru lived in the kingdom, he was kept isolated from people. He was given his own room but it was far from a luxury. There was a silent understanding among everyone in the castle to keep their distance from him. He was a sacrifice for the Servamps and the ritual would become complicated if he had a friend to help him escape. There was a strange loneliness to be surrounded by people in the castle without someone he could rely on.

“We’ve only been married for a few days but, thinking simply, I should become accustomed to living together soon. It’s for the sake of our plan.” Mahiru said as reassurance. He trusted that Kuro would continue to help him and his words were for himself more than anything. He stood from the bed with the blanket draped over his shoulders. “I’ll brush my teeth while you finish changing.”

“I built this house yesterday but the bathroom should be around the corner.” Kuro told him and Mahiru nodded.

Once he stepped out of the room, Mahiru pressed the blanket against his hot cheeks. He hoped that Kuro hadn’t noticed how flustered he was after seeing him change. Despite how he insisted that he was lazy during their carriage ride, he had a strong body with lean muscles. Mahiru thought of how he slept next to him and his stomach fluttered. They were both men so those things shouldn’t affect him yet he couldn’t ignore how he was beginning to feel.

He heard a light cry as he passed the open window and he assumed that it was Licht. He wondered if he came to check on his training. Licht was cursed to be a cat and he asked for his help. Mahiru was still learning to control the magic in his tattoo so he couldn’t break the curse. He promised that he would try to help him though.

Licht wasn’t the one who called out to him though. Perched on the tree outside his window was a brown cat. The castle housed many cats and Mahiru recalled how Licht told him that Hyde saved him. Mahiru wondered if the Servamp family often adopted stray animals. It was a heartwarming concept and contrasted how many saw the family as only demons.

The cat purred loudly and drew Mahiru’s attention back to it. He leaned out of the window to save it but he was barely able to brush his finger against its black fur. He tried to wave for it to move closer to him and it licked his finger in return. Mahiru wished that he could use his magic in that moment. He worried that the cat would fall if he went to ask Kuro for help.

Mahiru eased himself through the window and he lightly placed his foot on the branch. After he ensured that his weight wouldn’t break the branch, he jumped onto the tree. The branch swayed haphazardly beneath him and Mahiru ran across the branch to the safety of the thick tree trunk. He hugged the tree and then let out a sigh of relief that he didn’t fall.

At his feet, the cat nestled against him. He kept one hand on the tree for balance as he leaned down and scooped the cat into his arm. “How did you get trapped up here, Kitty? A cat like you should be in the castle where there’s food and shelter. I’ll bring you inside.”

He looked down at the ground and he realized that he was as trapped as the cat was. He couldn’t climb down with only one hand free to hold onto the tree. However, Mahiru worried that the cat would fall if he tried to keep it on his head or shoulder. He was still wearing his nightgown and he couldn’t make a cradle from his clothes. “What should I do?”

“Mahiru, where are you?” He heard Kuro’s voice and Mahiru quickly called back to him. Kuro stood in the window frame and Mahiru felt relieved when he saw him. The smile Mahiru greeted him with made Kuro’s heart jump slightly. He never thought someone outside his family would be happy to see him.

“Thank goodness, you came right when I needed you, Kuro. I wanted to save this cat but it looks like I ended up stuck as well. You’re able to fly. Can you teach me the spell for that?” Mahiru felt safer now that Kuro was in front of him and his grip on the branch loosened. He took a tentative step over the branch and moved towards the window.

“Isn’t it a little dangerous to test that spell when you’re fourteen feet above the ground? Wait there and I’ll get you down.” Kuro told him. Honestly, it never crossed Mahiru’s mind to ask for his help beyond teaching him the spell. He had always had to rely on himself in the kingdom. He stepped out of the window and Mahiru could see the faint outline of black, feathered wings on his back. Kuro landed in front of him and he lifted the cat from his arms. “I’ll bring this troublesome guy down and then come back for you.”

“I should be able to climb down by myself. You don’t have to—” Mahiru’s words were interrupted by the world dropping beneath him. The tree suddenly grew taller. Between the force of the wind and gravity, he was almost tossed from the tree and fell from the ground. Kuro pushed him against the tree trunk and wrapped his arms around him. He protected him from the branches that fell around them.

The tree eventually stopped growing yet Mahiru’s heart continued to race. They were pressed together and he was able to feel Kuro’s heartbeat beneath his hand. He didn’t let him go immediately but Mahiru found that he didn’t mind. He was dizzy and holding onto Kuro helped him collect himself. Kuro’s warm breath brushed over his hair as he asked, “Are you alright, Mahiru?”

“No broken bones. Why did the tree grow like that?” Mahiru glanced down at the ground to see how far they had risen. His stomach turned when he saw that their greenhouse had become a small dot beneath them. He laughed shakily and said, “I’m glad that I’m not afraid of heights or flying. Though, climbing down will be more difficult.”

“Hold onto this cat and I’ll carry you down.” Kuro handed the black cat to Mahiru. He attempted to materialize his wings behind him yet they wouldn’t appear. He could sense a powerful force keeping his wings sealed. His eyes narrowed at the situation they found themselves in. He knew that someone had used a spell on the tree and his wings. However, he couldn’t think of a reason.

“Kuro, you’re a little pale.” Mahiru noticed how his expression changed and he reached up to cup his cheek in one hand. He didn’t want to scare Mahiru but he needed to tell him of the danger.

“I can’t fly. We can try to climb down but it’s going to be impossible from this height. Can’t deal. We can try to send a message to Hyde for help and wait here.” Kuro leaned back from him but he kept one hand on the tree trunk to keep Mahiru from falling. He held his other hand and he summoned a tiny messenger bat in his palm. He was glad that only his wing was sealed and he could use other magic.

The black cat reached out of play with the bat and it slammed its paw onto Kuro’s hand. Its claw dug into his skin and he winced in pain. He instinctively pulled his hand away from the cat. His feet slipped off the branch and gravity dragged him further down. Kuro began to panic without his wings to save him. The wind screamed in his ear but he vaguely heard Mahiru call his name.

Mahiru grabbed his arm to save him. He was heavier than he could lift and he was pulled down with him. They were high in the sky but he knew they didn’t have much time to form a plan before they crashed onto the ground. He was holding his hand and Kuro tugged him closer. He hugged him against his chest and tucked his head beneath his chin. Mahiru realized that Kuro intended to protect him from the impact of the fall.

“Kuro!” Mahiru yelled over the roar of the wind. “If you can’t use your magic, teach me the spell! I don’t want you to be hurt saving me. Please, Kuro, we don’t have much time.”

A spell to summon wings was complicated, especially for a human who was born on land. The pressure of the situation would also make the spell more difficult to cast. Kuro looked down into Mahiru’s eyes that pleaded for him to trust him. “A floating spell. That will slow our fall enough so we aren’t hurt. You need to clear your mind so there’s nothing but clouds. Repeat after me…”

Mahiru shut his eyes tightly and he desperately tried to forget the world around them. The wind rushing past them was a grim reminder of their situation and he couldn’t ignore it easier. He buried his face into Kuro’s chest to try to muffle the sound. Kuro seemed to understand because he tenderly stroked his brown hair. He relaxed beneath his touch and recited the spell. “Nephele, my beautiful nymph in the sky. Alas, forever out of reach but gracing me with your gaze. By your grace, lift me to the heavens with your kiss.”

Their fall slowed yet Mahiru couldn’t fully relax. Worried that his magic would suddenly fail or vanish, he repeated the short chant. His back burned with each work and he ignored the pain. He was determined to save Kuro. “Mahiru, if you don’t stop, you’re going to fly away from me.”

His words brought Mahiru out of his trance and he opened his eyes. He realized that they had reached the ground and they were safe now. He was hovering above Kuro who kept him from floating up with a hand on his back. Mahiru stopped chanting and the strings holding him up came loose. He fell on top of Kuro who groaned softly. “All this trouble over a single cat.”

“I’m just glad that we’re all safe. I wonder what caused the tree to grow like that.” Mahiru moved off Kuro’s chest and he sat next to him. The cat rolled along with him and landed on the ground with a happy meow. He was surprised that it could be so calm after such an ordeal. He petted the cat and chuckled softly. “Cats are simple creatures, aren’t they?”

“That one is troublesome.” Kuro mumbled as he pushed himself up. He winced and looked down at his burnt hands.

“What happened, Kuro? We need to treat these burns quickly!” Mahiru didn’t know what could cause the burn when they were flying through the sky. He noticed how Kuro hesitated to answer him. “You have to tell me, Kuro. We’re married and couples shouldn’t keep secrets from each other.”

“I never expected you to use that against me.” Kuro didn’t know how to face the determination in Mahiru’s expression. He sighed and answered, “Your tattoo. When you were casting the spell, magic flowed out of your back. It burned your nightgown.”

Mahiru looked down at his clothes and the gown was falling forward slightly. He touched his back and he could feel the charred edges where his tattoo had burned through the fabric. Kuro took off his cloak and offered it to him so he could cover his bare back. While Mahiru accepted it, his expression was a mix of guilt and regret. “You don’t have to apologize for burning me after you saved us. I know you didn’t intend to hurt me. Anyways, I’m a demon and I will heal quickly.”

“If only I could control my power better.” Mahiru bit his lip. He cradled Kuro’s hand in his and he leaned down to examine the burn. “It’s already beginning to heal but we should put ointment on your hand so it won’t get infected. I’ll go back to the house to get my medical supplies. I can also change into proper clothes. Meet me in the kitchen.”

Before Kuro could answer, Mahiru jumped to his feet and rushed back to the house. The wind lifted his cloak and revealed the tattoo on his back. The roses that adorned his back had changed since the first day he saw them. The rose buds were beginning to bloom and stretch towards the sun tattoo. He rarely interacted with a sacrifice before and he didn’t know what the change could mean.

He couldn’t linger on those questions for long because he turned his attention to the black cat. Kuro couldn’t keep the anger from his voice when he yelled: “What the hell were you thinking, Sloth?”

“There was something that I wanted to test.” The cat transformed into Sloth. He stretched out his arms to relax his muscles after spending so much time in a smaller form. He didn’t appear to have a hint of guilt as he tilted a grin at Kuro. “His magic is growing. The tattoo absorbs magic from the space around the host and there’s more magic in our kingdom compared to that place full of humans.”

“Were you testing Mahiru because you wanted to see how much magic he has now? You could’ve killed him with your plan!” Kuro grabbed his brother’s shirt roughly without thinking. He rarely raised his voice, let alone argue with his siblings. He hated the thought of his own brother manipulating Mahiru’s kindness and endangering him. “He’s human.”

“He’s a sacrifice as per our contract. You never showed interest in a sacrifice before and I wanted to see if there was a reason why you’re interested in Mahiru. You claim to have fallen in love with him. Did you truly take him for a mate?” Kuro steeled himself against Sloth’s questions. While Sloth had his doubts about his marriage to Mahiru, he couldn’t know the truth.

“I’ve placed my mark on him and you should be able to sense that.” Kuro reminded him. “Mahiru is my mate and you’re my brother. I don’t wish to fight you but I will if it’s to protect him. Give up on eating his magic. You don’t need it.”

“You’re my twin, Kuro. Do you truly believe that you can lie so easily to me?” Sloth laugh sounded hollow and Kuro feared he could see through him in that moment. “In the fairy tales, the power of your bond would’ve broken through the seal that I placed on your wings so you could save him.”

“We don’t live in a fairy tale.”

“Then, you better protect him from the dangers of our world when you go to fight the yeti,” Sloth said and he walked past Kuro. “And the monsters here as well.”

“Angel Cakes, get out of my closet! You’re going to ruin all of my clothes with your claws.” Hyde yelled but Licht ignored him. He continued to drag his shirts out of the closet and drop them at the foot of his bed. He didn’t know how such a small cat could cause such a mess but he knew that Licht was far from ordinary. When it was clear that he wouldn’t stop, Hyde picked him up by the scruff of his neck. “Can you at least tell me what you want with my shirt? I’m sure you’ll look cute in them but you’re just a cat.”

“If I had my body, I would kick you until you begged for your life.” Licht hissed. He would usually hide that he could talk from demons so they wouldn’t know about his curse. However, Hyde already knew the truth so it was pointless to pretend to be a mere cat. “We have to go to the battlefield and protect Mahiru from the yetis. He’s my only hope of breaking this curse.”

“The sacrifice Kuro brought back?” Hyde thought of his brief interaction with Mahiru. He didn’t see anything special about the human aside from his tattoo. He placed Licht on the bed and he playfully poked his nose. “You’re a strong angel but you can’t expect to fight in this form. Anyways, Kuro will be there to protect his mate so you don’t need to go.”

“Do you expect me to trust a demon when one of you trapped me in this body?” Licht slammed his tail against the mattress to emphasize his anger.

“I can’t really take you seriously in that form, Lichtan.” He laughed and Licht snarled at him. Hyde knelt in front of the mattress and he leaned his forehead against. “Tick-tick-tick. When the clock tower rings twelve times, the magic will disappear and reveal the truth beneath. Tick-tick-tick. Evade the lies and run from the truth. Tick-tick-tick. What is the truth?”

Magic and a bright light swirled around Licht and enveloped him. After the light faded, Licht sat on the bed with his human body. The warmth of his magic still lingered on his skin. Hyde folded his arms on Licht’s lap and he grinned up at him. “I’m close to finding a way to break the curse like I promised. You don’t have to rely on a human. I don’t want you to get too attached to a sacrifice and be hurt after he—”

“Back then, I only accepted your help because I thought you were an angel like me. I know who you truly are now.” Licht shoved Hyde off his lap. Years ago, he had crawled into the Servamp’s stables to flee from a demon. Hyde found him as a cat and treated his wounds. He believed that he was an angel. If only he discovered that he was a demon before he told him about his curse. He couldn’t trust a demon no matter how kind they first appear.

Licht walked to the pile of clothes he made earlier and collected them into his arms. “I’m going to borrow your clothes for the trip. No matter if you come with me or not, I won’t change my decision. Where is your suitcase, Shit Rat?”

“You must be the most stubborn man in the world.” Hyde groaned. He snapped his hand and summoned a suitcase onto the bed. “Your curse was made by a powerful demon and my magic can only dispel it temporarily. What do you plan to do once the spell wears off?”

“I’ll scratch out the yeti’s eyes with my claws.” Licht told him without a moment of hesitation. To his surprise, Hyde laughed. He thought that he meant to mock his answer and he tossed the armload of shirts at him. With Hyde’s sight obscured, Licht kicked him. “Don’t mistake me as weak because of my curse!”

“You’ve kicked that lesson into me enough times, Angel Cakes.” Hyde stifled his next chuckle. He hadn’t meant to offend Licht with his laughter. The determination Licht had was something he found amusing and respected. He pulled the shirt off his head and he dropped it into the suitcase. “I’ll go to the battlefield like you want. I promised to break your curse and I can’t let anything happen to you.”

Sakuya and Tsubaki, I am considering this ship but its kinda cute and good so yeah.
