¡Rata!
Just in case my Spanish was *that* bad because it's very rusty these days: what was the inspiration behind the design for your band au lamb? Was it inspired by your own ideas or was there external input into how you considered making their design? Thank you, hope you're well, love your art to death, take care!
Muchas gracias jolines 🥺🥺🥺
Eng:
Thank you so much 🥺
A lot of things are my references for the designs! Other cotl artist and mostly music, in this case the song that inspired me to do this was Emptiness Machine - Linkin Park
Also I have a lot of references from outfits I see everyday on Pinterest ^^

Hello! I just wanted to say I adore your work! Your Catradora fanfics are so beautiful and passionate and your art just screams regal, elegance, and each line up perfectly with the world you've created.
I was curious on what advice/tips you had for beginner writers? Do you study other writers you like or write what feels right for you?
As well as what you do for drawing? What references, lessons, and or creators you take notes from? Or figure drawing?
Thank you for all you create! Genuinely, thank you <3
Hello! First than all, thank you so SO much for your beautiful words it means the absolute world for me and I appreciate it immensely
Now for your question, I think that as per writing my best advice would be ‘Never stop writing and write it all’ . Do you have an idea? Write it down! No matter if it is swift and quick or really small or if you write it on a notebook or the phone or a napkin. Most of my biggest stories like Anchor and Camelot AU came from a single insane idea and now they are full stories. I read a lot too for inspiration, from other´s people´s fics to series like Percy Jackson, Lord of the Rings, The Song of Achilles, Jane Austen, poetry, etc. I take a lot of inspiration from music too, movie´s soundtracks are the best for me to inspire the construction of a story.
For Drawing and paintings I use lots of references, especially pictures. I love reinassance paintings and take lots of inspiration from Alfons Mucha Art. I took some studies from Loish´s Patreon too that were of great help with character construction and painting, and I´m currently trying to study more concept art development of animated movies, it helps a lot too.
And also, and this goes for drawing and art in general too, please have patience. The Internet and the algorithm are a weird place to be in as an artist right now and most of the time a small ratio can result in a lot of frustation. Believe in yourself! And please do things that you love, even the process, it won´t be perfect at the beginning but you´ll get there.
Sorry for taking so long to answer and lots of love your way! <3

André Brasilier (1929 - )
André Brasilier was born into an artistic family in Saumur, France. His father, Jacques Brasilier, was closely affiliated with the Symbolist movement, joining the studio of the celebrated Alphonse Mucha. His mother, Alice Chaumont, was a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London. At the age of twenty, André Brasilier went to Paris to study at the École des Beaux-Arts. In 1952 he received a grant from the Florence Blumenthal Foundation, and in the following year, when he was only 23, won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome, entitling him to study at the Académie de France in Rome. His first solo exhibition of paintings, focusing on music, was held at the Galerie Drouet in 1959. Over the years Brasilier has exhibited in numerous exhibitions all over the world including France, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Canada, the United States, Russia, The Netherlands, Korea and Hong Kong - over one hundred solo exhibitions in twenty different countries. His travels have inspired several series of paintings, as well as ceramics, mosaics, theatrical sets and book illustrations. He had his first retrospective of one hundred artworks from 1950 -1980 at the Château de Chenonceau in 1980, and a retrospective exhibition at the Musée Picasso - Château Grimaldi in Antibes, the French Riviera, in 1988.He has since been honoured with major retrospectives both at Russia’s renowned State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg in 2005 and at the Museum Haus Ludwig für Kunstausstellungen Saarlouis in Germany in 2007. Across the globe and for the last five years, we’ve been the witnesses to a revival in the appreciation of Brasilier’s work.

1960s Psychedelia and its Art Nouveau Influences
If you're familiar with older music, you've probably seen the famous music posters and handbills of the 1960s. Featuring vibrant colors and lurid designs, these advertisements sought to absorb and reflect the contemporary cultural ideas of revolution, psychedelia, and free love.
Tumblr media
The artistic styling of these posters was strongly influenced by the Art Nouveau movement that had taken Europe and America by storm over half a century before. Art Nouveau took inspiration from nature to create architecture, interior design, and fine art with lurid, organic shapes, a direct contrast to the square, gray cityscapes of the Industrial Revolution in the late 1800s/1900s.
See below the metro entrances designed by Hector Guimard, installed in Paris between 1900 and 1912; The Kiss (1907) by Gustav Klimt; the Pond Lily Table Lamp (1903) created by Louis Comfort Tiffany, heir to Tiffany & Co.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But why was Art Nouveau so popular with the artists behind music posters in the Summer of Love?
Although Art Nouveau pieces often depict scenes of harmony, simplicity, and love, the movement itself had existed as a form of revolution, a call for a return to peace with nature. Likewise, the hippie movement and other counterculture scenes of the 1960s were in part a rebellion against the strict cultural hegemony of the post-World War II era. The children of the suburban Baby Boom generation just now coming into adulthood saw in Art Nouveau a similar yearning for change and harmony with Mother Earth.
The congruence between these two movements is undeniable. Several famous music posters of the late 1960s even directly lifted figures from Art Nouveau paintings, most often from the work of the famed Czech commercial artist Alphonse Mucha.

Like the quickly evolving landscape wrought by the Industrial Revolution at the turn of the century, the 1960s were also a time of great cultural upheaval. The hippie, Civil Rights, and anti-war movements drove young people to protests and concerts featuring experimental new music and new ideas. The artists behind the music posters of the era turned to Art Nouveau to reflect a similar time of cultural change, as well as the re-emerging desire to connect to nature seen within the hippie movement.
Alphonse Mucha was famous for his hundreds of paintings featuring women, whom he often used to depict natural forces such as weather or the change of seasons. Norman Orr, an artist for the 1960s musician Bill Graham, was inspired by the "sensuality of the graceful, flowing lines of the Mucha's work and the way that the female form was combined with the sensuality of the line work."
Below: Absinthe Robette By Henri Privat-Livemont (1886) and Pink Floyd Marquee Club by Bob Masse (1966).
Tumblr media
The sensual female form employed by Mucha (and much of Art Nouveau in general) was combined with the drug-fueled psychedelia of the time to create the famous eye-catching posters, perfectly reflecting the cultural fervor of the late 1960s. The posters themselves became valued collectors items, taken home by the young, revolution-minded fans who flooded the cities where these musicians played.
Today we can empathize with the emotions these posters convey. Like the artists of the Industrial Revolution and their audiences, the counterculture youth of the late 1960s sought revolutionary change. Artists of the time naturally drew inspiration from the art of a previous revolutionary period with similar sentiment. Could another rebirth of Art Nouveau be approaching as our generation fights the climate crisis and rebels in music and on the streets?

I wanted to take this time to post some of my recent college work.
Here's 3 illustrations based on Taylor Swift albums and 3 styles.
First is Lover in a Studio Ghibli style. I had the ME! Music video in mind. The second is Red in a pop art style. Its leaning towards comic book with bold lines. Third is Evermore inspired by the style of art nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha.

Psychedelic Posters and the Art Nouveau Influence
Introduction:
The 1960s witnessed a revolution in art and culture, characterized by a vibrant explosion of color, pattern, and surreal imagery—embodied in the mesmerizing world of psychedelic posters. Rooted in the artistic movement of Art Nouveau from the late 19th century, these posters became iconic expressions of counterculture. This article embarks on a captivating journey, unveiling the allure of 60s psychedelic posters and their connection to the Art Nouveau movement.
Tumblr media
The Birth of Psychedelic Posters:
Emerging amidst the social upheaval and artistic experimentation of the 1960s, psychedelic posters encapsulated the spirit of the era. These posters, often associated with music festivals and the burgeoning psychedelic rock scene, utilized vivid colors, intricate patterns, and surreal imagery to create mind-altering visual experiences.
Psychedelic posters became a canvas for artists to explore unconventional design elements, incorporating swirling motifs, distorted typography, and kaleidoscopic patterns. These artworks aimed to transcend conventional boundaries, mirroring the mind-altering effects of psychedelic substances that were prevalent in the counterculture movement.
60s Psychedelic Posters: A Window into the Era:
Beyond their artistic appeal, 60s psychedelic posters served as visual representations of the cultural and social movements of the time. They advertised concerts, happenings, and gatherings, reflecting the ethos of peace, love, and experimentation that defined the era.
Artists like Wes Wilson, Victor Moscoso, and Stanley Mouse were pioneers in this genre, utilizing vibrant hues and intricate designs to create posters that mirrored the psychedelic experience itself. The fusion of typography, vibrant colors, and mesmerizing patterns became iconic symbols of an era characterized by free expression and a departure from societal norms.
Art Nouveau Influence:
The roots of psychedelic posters can be traced back to the Art Nouveau movement that emerged in the late 19th century. Art Nouveau, characterized by sinuous lines, organic forms, and ornate details, rebelled against the academic art of the time, seeking to infuse art into everyday life.
The influence of Art Nouveau on psychedelic posters is unmistakable. Both movements shared a fascination with elaborate, flowing designs and a departure from traditional artistic norms. The intricate and organic patterns seen in Art Nouveau found echoes in the swirling, fluid compositions of psychedelic posters.
Art Nouveau Posters: A Bridge to Psychedelia:
Art Nouveau posters, known for their elegant curves and decorative elements, often promoted theatrical productions, products, or events. Artists like Alphonse Mucha, with his iconic poster designs, epitomized the essence of Art Nouveau. These posters, characterized by elongated figures, floral motifs, and intricate borders, laid the groundwork for the visual language that would later evolve into psychedelic art.
The transition from Art Nouveau to psychedelic art was marked by a departure from the restrained elegance of the former to the exuberant and mind-bending designs of the latter. Yet, the foundational principles of organic forms, flowing lines, and decorative intricacy remained as connecting threads between the two movements.
Legacy and Influence:
The legacy of both Art Nouveau and psychedelic posters continues to reverberate in contemporary art and design. Elements of these movements can be spotted in modern-day graphic design, album covers, and even fashion.
The mesmerizing allure of psychedelic posters, with their vibrant colors and intricate designs, continues to captivate collectors and enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau posters remains an inspiration for artists and designers seeking to infuse their work with organic beauty and decorative richness.
Conclusion:
The evolution from the intricate, organic designs of Art Nouveau to the kaleidoscopic explosion of color and pattern in psychedelic posters represents a continuum of artistic rebellion and expression. Both movements pushed the boundaries of conventional art, leaving an indelible mark on visual culture. Their shared elements of intricate design, organic forms, and a departure from artistic norms serve as a testament to the enduring influence and legacy of these mesmerizing art forms.

¿Cuentos?
Okay, I just realised how challenging it is to write my theories in two languages... And in an organised and scheduled way.
For that reason, I would like to recommend some things.
Do you like orchestral\instrumental music? Listen to Hylian ensemble, ROZEN, REVEN, Orchestre de Jeux Vidéo, Theophany (although they only composed music inspired by Majora's Mask), and TPR.
Do you prefer the original soundtrack? scrapper9000, shadowatnoon, Tenpers Universe, and Yoonchiya (keep in mind that nowadays it's difficult to find the original soundtracks because the company is too... strict).
Do you like artworks? I love the styles of 10yrsy, 2xlee, anxioussailorsoldier, cherrypaii, cocky!, frulleboi, jojo, Kaenith, la_sera_art, lemonlurkrr, lily_blossom3, Lunian, macaroonkitti, mjoyart, mmmwafflesart, narsh, parksrway, pisu1107, Sketchwakusei, smilesrobotlover, w1lmuttart, and many, many more.
Stories? To be honest, I have not searched for many fanfictions... Truthfully, I would not like to have unpleasant experiences with what there is. That's what ruined Pokémon for me a few years ago, I'm not entirely sure how to describe it. Nevertheless, I do enjoy the short stories of 10yrsy, Akira-Himekawa, frulleboi, jojo, Lunian, Sketchwakusei, and smilesrobotlover.
Lastly, I recommend VortexxyGaming's theories.
Please share any recommendations you might have! I would love to know more about art, music, or whatever, really, regarding this topic.

Beetlejuice as the Magician
I’m not an expert on Tarot by any means and I mixed the symbolism around a little but I like it :D

🌙 “Woe to the Woman who wanted to dance with a Damned Soul.” 🌙 FR [Danse macabre] Heyyy ! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
EN [Danse macabre] Heyyy! Yes I’m back with another piece inspired by Mucha; I feel that I’m more and more finding my style for this kind of production! And apparently the skeleton is still in the theme of Spooky Season hehe 😌 Apart from Mucha, I was inspired by the art of the danse macabre (and yes the music of Saint-Saëns have something to do with this 😂). Concerning the dress of our dear lady, I tried to represent the dress of a Cuban traditional dancer (initially white and red) but it seems rather blue than anything else… Anyway, have a very good late Spooky Season!
