15. Everywriter App:

Everywriter works in a similar manner to Scrivener, in that it offers you a basic outline to write a book or other document. It provides an online outline design, and can even facilitate your book cover design.

16. Shutterstock Mobile App:

Shutterstock Contributor is a mobile app that enables you to upload photos on the go. It has an auto keywording function that makes it easy to complete submissions on your phone. It also enables you to check your Shutterstock earnings and activity.

17. Foap App:

Foap can be used to make extra money with your photos and videos. When a client wants to purchase your work from your online portfolio, you do a 50/50 split with Foap. You can even submit pictures and videos to one of the Foap “missions” and win hundreds of dollars. The Foap community has nearly three million members, so there’s a huge potential market for selling your work.

18. EyeEm App:

EyeEm works much like Foap. You download your photos, which are then available to customers and clients who use the app. In addition, EyeEm hosts weekly photo competitions as another means for winners to earn more money. You earn royalties on those photos as they’re selected by clients.

19. Amuse (Music App):

Amuse is a mobile record company that does for music what Shutterstock, Foap, and EyeEm do for photos. It allows unsigned artists to distribute their music to digital platforms. It also provides an opportunity for the creator to be signed based on data-tracking hit potential. It’s a fairly new app, having only been launched in 2017. But it could be a real opportunity for musical talent to find its way to the mainstream.

20. Udemy (Online web platform):

Udemy is a platform that enables you to create courses. For example, let’s say you want to create a course on playing a musical instrument. Do it on the web platform, and even have Udemy help you market the course to users.

You’ll share some of the profits with the platform, but it’ll be a significant earning opportunity if you have a specialty you’d like to arrange into a course to be sold to potential students.

21. GrabPoints (Reward website):

GrabPoints is another popular rewards website that allows users to passively earn or complete tasks in exchange for points (which can be redeemed for rewards).

On GrabPoints, users can earn money by answering surveys, completing offers, downloading apps, or watching videos. The video section is definitely what makes GrabPoints a more passive earner. What’s nice about GrabPoints is that you can cash out once you reach $3, and you can redeem your points for PayPal cash or a variety of gift cards. This is one of the lower payout thresholds for GPT websites, so that’s a nice find!

22. CashMagnet App:

CashMagnet is a passive income app that takes control of your phone and acts as an auto-surfing device that browses articles on the internet. CashMagnet has a 4 phone device limit, so if you have some old phones laying around you can start up a modest operation in very little time. If you optimize CashMagnet fully, you can probably earn $20 per month by taking advantage of the almost 24 hours of passive run-time the app allows for.

Just note: CashMagnet is taking forever to actually pay its users it seems. My most recent request took around 1 month to be resolved, which is definitely a major downside.

23. Grindabuck App:

If you are looking to make some extra money with a laptop or tablet, I’d say your best bet is to find a GPT (get paid to) website that runs passive video portals like Engageme.TV or Video Loyalty. You can read more about the GPT websites in my post on the best GPT websites, or you can always consult the Reddit beer money community for the latest information on the top money-making apps and websites.

The process is fairly simple. Just use a laptop or tablet to watch videos in the passive earnings section of the website and reap the rewards! You can check out my full Grindabuck review to learn more about the process as well.

Experience with Swagbucks

In this report, I describe my experience with Swagbucks.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is an international portal that offers points to its users when they participate in the portal's offerings. The points are called SB (Swagbucks) and can be exchanged for vouchers with real monetary value.

In addition to the English-language portal of Swagbucks, there is a German Swagbucks portal, which is only aimed at German-speaking users. This testimonial refers to the German portal.

An SB has the equivalent of one cent. 100 SBs is equivalent to one euro. The money cannot currently be paid into the bank account, but can only be redeemed for vouchers. However, the choice of vouchers is very high. In addition to Amazon vouchers, many other online stores are available.

How can you make money at Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is a Paid4 all-rounder and offers its users several ways to earn points.

The four main earning opportunities:

Watch videos for money

Paid surveys

Playing to make money

Cashback and bonus promotions

Watch videos for money

Swagbucks was one of the first providers to offer videos for which you get money (in the form of points).

The remuneration is usually 2 SB per playlist, which are worth 2 cents. This doesn't seem like much, but if you watch the videos on the side throughout the day, you can already earn 1 euro per day.

The selection of the videos has grown, but the selection could be even bigger. There are currently several hundred videos available from the fields of politics, entertainment, sports and other categories.

Paid surveys

Swagbucks mediates surveys from other panels. Swagbucks usually does not offer its own surveys.

In my experience, swagbucks can make the most money from the polls.

On some days, as many polls are available as other opinion portals offer throughout the month.

Compensation is comparatively rather lower than the lower average. However, the number of surveys is so high that the amount compensates for the rather low earnings.

Playing to make money

Swagbucks currently offers 2 games of its own where you can make money. The disadvantage: A maximum of 10 points per day can be reached.

In addition to your own games, there are often bonus promotions where you get money for playing browser games.

You can find them at the Partner Trialplay in the Discover tab. The remuneration is relatively high and is mostly between 50 cents and 2 euros.

Sometimes there are action days where all trialplay offers pay out double the compensation. Here it is really worth keeping your eyes open!

Cashback and bonus promotions

In addition to Trialplay's offerings, Swagbucks has other partner sites. The number of bonus promotions is above average. The remuneration of bonus promotions corresponds to the Paid4 average.

Like other bonus portals, Swagbucks offers cashback at its partner shops. The number of partner shops is very high and the remuneration is also high.

In addition to the normal cashback portal, Swagbucks offers its own cashback plugin, the so-called Swagbutton.

Swagbutton

The Swagbutton is a useful extension to the Swagbucks range.

Once installed, the Swagbutton remains active in the browser and displays possible cashback on every online store you visit. So you don't have to do anything different than usual and you'll be made aware of cashback if the page you visit is a partner of Swagbucks.

If an online shop offers cashback at Swagbucks, a note appears at the top of the browser window. In this note you can activate the cashback directly with one click.

In addition to the cashback features, the Swagbutton also draws attention to when a swag code is available. Swagcodes are bonus codes from Swagbucks that are given away by Swagbucks on promotional days.

After entering the Swagcodes on the Swagbucks website or in the Swagbutton, you get free SB.

Further earning opportunities

In addition to swagcodes, there is regularly the so-called Swago board. On the Swago board, possible actions around the Swagbucks offer are linked.

The more actions have been successfully completed, the more extra SB there are.However, the Swagoboard is only available in limited periods of time.

In addition to the above-mentioned earnings, you can earn extra SB by fulfilling the daily to-do list of Swagbucks.

7 Tips For Getting The Best Prices For Toys On Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been growing and becoming more popular year after year. It is now considered to be the busiest shopping week of the entire year. More items are sold and purchased in November than any other month in the calendar.

With so many discounts and offers available, it can be pretty confusing knowing which way to turn, when to buy, when not to buy. Whether you should buy online or head down to the high street?

With only a few days left, this guide should be able to help guide you through the busiest shopping days in the UK.

1. Don’t limit yourself to just shopping online or in-store

First things first, it doesn’t matter whether you purchase online or offline these days. The very same offers you find online will generally be found instore too. Don’t get me wrong, when Black Friday was introduced a few years ago by Amazon; it made perfect sense for the offers to be available online only since they are pretty much an online retailer. However, as more and more retailers started adopting this discounting strategy, they first adopted the online-only model and then slowly morphed into online and offline offers.

Omnichannel

Sorry to bring a technical term, but Omnichannel means that retailers are trying to make shopper’s lives as easy as possible. They want the buying experience to be as efficient as possible and better for the consumer. 

The vast majority of them now allow you to look online and then complete your purchase at the store and vice versa. If you have an account with that retailer, the smoothness of the transaction is even easier.

2. Don’t buy full price

During the holiday season, you should never be paying full price for something (unless you are shopping at Primark that don’t participate in Black Friday, that is).

November/December/January are discount months, and every retailer will have a reduced price on their items. 

Added to the fact that most retailers make most of their money during this period, you are pretty much guaranteed to see everything displayed at a discount. Retailers will be falling over themselves to give you the very best deal during this period.

This year, there is a shorter peak holiday season, with only 26 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas compared to 32 days in years past.

It’s Not All About Discounts

Retailers won’t just be discounting. Frequently they will give things away like shipping, vouchers, or coupons for discounts off other items in a range. Instead of long shipping times, they may offer a more speedy delivery so you can get presents in time for Christmas. 

Offers will come in all shapes and sizes, so keep a lookout to grab yourself a deal.

3. Do your research

Yes, this may seem like the most obvious thing to say, but doing your research before you purchase a toy could save you hundreds of pounds. 

One of the best ways to do this is to type in the keywords of the toy you are searching for and then bookmark all of the websites that sell it. That way, you will have all of the pricing information available to you at the touch of a button.

Where possible, try doing this in advance and making a note of the prices of all saved searches. That way, you will be able to compare just how much discount has or hasn’t been applied.

4. Strategically abandon your cart

Now, I was unsure whether to include this in the article (is this ethical). However, it’s a great little hack that will work with some retailers, but not all of them. You see, the fact that you got to the cart section of the website and added either your name or mobile number makes you an important prospect. For this reason, the retailer may or may not get in touch with you to offer you a further discount to purchase.

Note: This is a precarious strategy (especially if it’s a hot item that may sell out). Waiting for 24-48hrs for the retailer to contact you may be too long, and the item may sell out at that time. Also, very few retailers offer you further discounts if you do abandon the cart.

5. Follow your favorite retailers and brands on social media

No matter what social media platform you use, it is always a good idea to follow your favourite retailers and brands on social. 

Not only will you be alerted of special promotions and details from the retailer, but your friends will often share offers with you. Usually, there is a small window of opportunity to snag a deal. If you are not regularly on social media, you could lose out.

6. Download apps and browser extensions

If you are a busy person and love the idea of automation, then why not consider signing up for a retailer’s app or even newsletter? You could also install browser extensions if you spend most of your time on a desktop. This way, you will be alerted as soon as a new notification is sent out.

There are several third-party apps available that allow you to register for alerts too. You don’t want to go too crazy, installing all of these apps. Before long, you will be bombarded with alerts, emails, and notifications. So instead of making this a pleasant shopping experience, it could quickly turn into a stressful one.

Use Cashback websites

If you have never used a cashback website, maybe you should consider using them. The cashback website makes a commission from every customer they refer to, but what they do is split the commission to share it with you. For example, if they get paid a 10% commission on a £100 item, that’s £10. They will keep £5 and then credit your account with £5 for you to withdraw after a few months.

So, even though the retailer may not have a sale on at this moment in time, by purchasing via cashback websites, you could indeed receive a discount via third party. This works well for single purchases and fantastic for multiple purchases.

7. Store Cards

The use of store cards was quite common a few years ago but is not so popular now. However, it might be worth considering signing up for a store card from a retailer. They usually offer either 5 or 10% off your first purchase. 

You can always sign up for the card, use it and then cancel it after purchase if you like? That way, you make use of the discount promotion.

8. Bonus Tip - Haggle using live chat

Haggling is not something we do a lot of in the UK. Something to do with a stiff upper lip[ I think? But, you can grab some great deals when you engage with retail websites directly. Most sites have some form of chat feature now, and even though this strategy can’t be guaranteed, it’s worth asking for a discount.

Simply open the chatbox and ask away.

Note: This could also be done via email, too, but I don’t think it will be as effective as chat since chat is in real-time, and decisions would need to be made quickly. Even though you’ll be up to your ears in deals come the start of Black Friday, there’s always a chance you could shave a little more off the price via online chat.

None of the strategies and techniques in this article are written in stone. You can use some, all or none of them. It really depends on you and how flexible you are prepared to be. There is not that long to go and you may need to jump on this as soon as you can to take advantage.

An affiliate relationship simply means Ebates and each online company have created a partnership where Ebates will refer you or I to buy something from them, and that company then sends Ebates a thank-you referral.

The good news: Ebates then splits the thank-you referral with you, and you earn Cash Back.

For example, at the time this post was published, Kohl’s has agreed to send Ebates a thank-you referral of 12% Cash Back for whoever shops online at Kohl’s via the Ebates website. Ebates then splits the referral commission with you or I (the online shopper) and we each earn 6% cash back.

How to Shop and Save with Ebates

Right now, the vast majority of cash back savings is online, however there are specific stores that offer in-store cash back as well.

Online

According to a recent study, millennials do 60% of their shopping online. The fact that you are here reading about Ebates shows you are also online, and chances are you regularly shop online.

This is why I see Ebates as an absolute no brainer – you’re going to get cash back for doing what you’re already doing.

Search Ebates First (Good Option)

Before you shop online, head on over to the Ebates website and you can search the 2,000+ online retailers to see if they have a partnership with Ebates. Once you find a store where you’re going to shop, simply click on the button of that store.

For example, let’s say you’re going to purchase something from Things Remembered and you go through Ebates to get 16% Cash Back. You would click on the Things Remembered icon below:

Once you click on it, you will be taken to the screen below to let you know your cash back is now activated:

You will then be automatically redirected to the Things Remembered website to shop. This extra step took a whole 10 seconds which in return offers you cash back for doing something you were going to do anyhow – shop online.

Get the Ebates Button (Best Option)

Guess who is the king of buying something, bringing it home, and then finding a coupon for it after the fact?

….This guy.

Ebates must know we sometimes do this so they created a button we can add to our Google Chrome Browser. Now instead of having to remember to go to Ebates first, we will get a little notification on our screen when we arrive at an online store that is an affiliate (partner) with Ebates.

Example:

Andrea and I are big fans of Groupon because we LOVE getting a deal! Now, when we go to Groupon, this little pop up let’s us know we will get an additional 6% back on anything we purchase via Groupon once we activate the Ebates Reward.

In Store

This is something that is newer to Ebates, but it’s really cool! 

What you will need to do is add your debit or credit card to your Ebates Account. Then, before you shop in-store, check Ebates.com or the Ebates app for both iOS and Android, and see if that store has an in-store cash back option.

All you will need to do next is click on “Link Offer”.

Now, just make sure you use the same credit/debit card you added to your account when you checkout, and you will receive the same cash back as you would if you shopped online.

You can also search where you live to find if any of the stores in your area are offering in-store cash back. This is an example of where I live in Phoenix, AZ. It’s your responsibility to make sure you’re getting your cash back. 99.9% of the time your account will be credited within 48 hours. If you don’t see it in your account, it’s your responsibility to notify them about it via a form on their site.

You will only get your cash back payout once every 90 days.

The Triple Savings Hack

If you want to get a little crazy, you can do what I have been doing and I actually made this video to show you how to also.

  I use Ebates, the Honey browser extension, and Giftcard Granny all at once to save the absolute most money possible. When I arrive at the online retailer I activate my Ebates to get my cash back activated. Then at checkout, I click on the Honey browser extension to apply any available coupon codes. Once I know my final checkout price, I search Gift Card Granny for an online gift card at a discount (someone may be selling a $50 gift card for $42 to get rid of it).

This means I am getting the cashback discount, the maximum discount using any and all coupon codes, and then the discount at the end with a bargain gift card.
