Count Dracula and Integra Van Hellsing is why you should watch this. He looks better animated I cannot breathe rn I’m so upset he didn’t look like this till the ending. The anime at least gave Dracula 10 mins I swear the manga was only 8 pages. It’s the facial hair it did something to me. It altered my brain chemistry butterflies in my stomach. Put me in every position, my womb is yours. This is why I fell for Snake from Vinland Saga.

ME??? MAKING FUSION VERSES ONLY I CARE ABOUT??? It’s more likely than you think. It suddenly occurred to me that I could combine my two favorite descendants of Abraham Van Helsing. This being Guillermo de la Cruz and Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing from the anime Hellsing.

Sir Guillermo de la Cruz Hellsing. Head of the Hellsing family and inheriter of the family’s pet Vampire, who I would change from Dracula to Nandor in this AU. It also has occurred to me that Nandor is like 200 years older than Dracula would have been. (what if nandor made Dracula???)

For clarification: the dashingly butch young Anglo-Indian woman is Integral Hellsing (sic), turn-of-the-millennium descendant of the original Van Helsing, knight of the Anglican Church, and eponymous protagonist of the manga and anime “Hellsing.”

Ah. I've never watched/read Hellsing, but if you'd spelled it that way I would have had a clue. I've been to enough anime cons.

As  Integra  is  the  last  living  descendant  of  Abraham  Van  Hellsing  ,  she  was  the  one  that  ultimately  made  the  decision  without  anyone’s  approval.  She  rewrote  her  will  and  her  last  testament  and  made  it    𝐀𝐁𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐘  𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑  that  Alucard  would  lead  The  Hellsing  Organization  upon  her  death.  ALUCARD  WAS  NOT  AWARE  of  this  fact  and  he  felt  that  he  had  been  lied  to  ,  cheated  at  a  second  chance    ,  but  then  he  thought  about  it  and  he  really  wonders  to  himself.  WOULD  PENWOOD  have  the    𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘  to  lead  the  Organization  ?  would  the  Round  Table  allow  him  to  run  the  Organization  according  to  Integra’s  will  without  involving  their  pointless  politics  in  what  was  a  simple  mission  ?  TO  KILL  FREAKS  AND  MONSTERS  in  the  name  of  the  English  Crown  and  Protestant  Church  ?  Apparently  Integra  doubted  the  integrity  of  mere  men  ,  and  Alucard  himself  had  developed  the  opinion  that  WOMEN  were  far  more  worthy  of  leading  than  men  ,  they  were  not  blinded  by  such  simple  temptations  as  POWER.  With  that  though  in  mind  ,  he  accepts  the  charge  given  to  him  by  integra  in  her  dying  words.  He  would  do  so  ,  but  the  political  aspects  of  the  Organization  would  be  handled  by  Sir  Penwood

Dracula and Van Hellsing are foils: both are foreigners in england with different levels of integration into British society. Dracula is more fluent in English compared to hellsing, but hellsing works along side the British society to protect it whereas Dracula seeks to control it. Different visions of the foreign other: assimilation vs supplanting/colonising? Dracula does to Britain what Britain did elsewhere: colonise, ruin and control women, displace traditional cultural ideas to uplift his own….

a hot take for the day is that the hellsing organization wasn’t originally founded for the explicit purpose of hunting vampires & neutralizing supernatural threats to the united kingdom .  professor abraham van helsing, true to his profession, envisioned hellsing as an institution for the purpose of research & study of the supernatural, its first subject being the carcass of count dracula .  only later, after the madness of his discoveries overtook his judgement, did hellsing too become an organization that bend to the will of the crown, theirs greater than abraham’s, using the knowledge gathered by its founder for the purpose of vampire hunting .  as the turn of the century saw the world plunged into war, so too did the hellsing organization shift for the needs of the british state, becoming a private military suited to combat vampiric threats .  it was integrated as part of the united kingdom’s secret society, another pillar of the british aristocracy, the convention of twelve .  its founder was ordained as a knight, given a seat into british politics & shown the crown’s secrecy, & when the wars ended, a generation later, the hellsing organization could hardly revert back to its existence during times of peace .  its existence feels out of place, its war against vampirism manufactured, a relic of a different time, as old fashioned as the convention it leads .

Hellsing Origins: Integra Hellsing

She slept in his arms warped in a bundle a fluffy white blankets Arthur sat in a leather chair holding her with him in the study the company of Sir Island and Sir Penwood. “So what happened to it’s mother?” Islands asked. He stood at the wall of bookshelfs at the back of the room simply browsing. Arthur grunted reaching over to the small table at his side picking up his glass of bourbon and taking a swing. “She came in gave her to me and left.” “And you’re sure it’s yours?” “Yes Huge 100%.” Pinching the bridge of his noes Islands sighs deeply turning to Arthur. “Keeping it then.” “Fuck you, I may be an alcoholic blackguard, but i’m not a monster... Yes I am. I’ll raising her as a man should, she will be next in line after me. And If you call my daughter it one more god damn time I will rip your world a fucking sunder.” A dark shadow falls on Hellsing face, Islands eyes widen a bit as he walked over to Penwood and sat down on the same sofa that he was. Penwood couldn’t take his eyes off the baby a smile from ear to ear. “May I Arthur?” Peneood asked reaching out his arms. Hellsing stands letting Penwood hold her his eyes instantly well up with tears. “Oh for God sake you’ll more crying then she does.” Arthur bites walking over to his very large very full liquor cabinet. “Does... She have a name?”  “Well n-no not yet.” “You have had this baby three days Arthur and not given her name!!!” Islands yells. “Look I’ve been a bit busy trying to get things for the kid!” Arthur yells back The loud sudden noes shocked the baby awake her face grows bright red as she being to cry Penwood starts to panic as Walter walks over picking her up and calming her down. “I’d have you refrain from doing that while she in the the room sir.” Penwoood wipes the tears from his eyes. “How about the name of the nanny that rise you Arthur.” “Fairbrook? Well maybe but not as a first name I never liked the old coot though. Windgates after my grandmother she’d come to me praying and hoping that i’d have many many children.” “Last name Van Hellsing of cores.” Islands puts in. “Weeeellll maybe leave out the Van Hellsing’s are only called that because of the novel it’s not really in my family name.” “She holds the Integrity of your family so why not.” Penwood shrugs. Arthur opens a bottle and filled his glass again. “Humm, Alright then Integra it is. Sounds nice, fits on important paper work, she was born on British soil so problem solved.” He Walks over to Walter who had just gotten Integra back to sleep a smile pulls at his lips. “Ha ha Integra Hellsing! What you think lads.” Islands wipes a hand over his face.“Just be sure to teach her right Arthur. Don’t be like your father. And for the love of all that is good don’t turn her into another you.” Hellsing give a hardy laugh again. “Oh who knows shes a Hellsing she’ll grow to be just as good looking as me Ahahaha!” “Ugh you Idiot...”
