Sphere's adapted surprisingly well to conditions outside of the Central AI Chamber. We've noticed a marginal increase in intelligence after it's exposure to "HER" neural imprint. It is now capable of recognizing (and even using) a "double entendre" in a sentence - likely picked it up from her (have you people considered attaching an "attitude suppression" sphere onto her yet? Would be great). It's been annoyingly talkative to the staff. Suggest re-assignment to Subject Caretaker duties. Quite literally the lowest hanging fruit - it's mostly automated anyways, even a toddler couldn't mess it up. Just find a use for it so it stops pestering me on the catwalks, thanks.

i like to imagine all the portal 2 mods, especially the ones set in and around the time between 1 and 2, aren't in separate universes but are all happening in that time skip - probably not at the same time, but it's just amusing to think that Aperture is so big and the cores having divided it up into their own territories (and mostly ignorant of what any of the others are doing), trying to escape or reactivate GLaDOS or whatever, and also contributing to the dwindling supply of living humans in the facility by the time Wheatley wakes Chell up

Wheatley was either someone's consciousness uploaded into the intelligence dampening sphere, or an ai made from scratch.

This means that either:

A- They looked at some guy and said "You're exceptionally stupid, can we please use you to make sure our ai doesn't get too smart?"

Or

B- They made the conscious decision to give him specifically a British accent, and not only that, but given the choice of any British accent, they chose Bristol. They designed this man and decided it was absolutely imperative that he had a Bristol accent.
