This may have been said before but I think what annoys me about most marimand shippers is the way that they try and diminish the impact Marius' treatment actually had on Armand. If you are going to ship something like this which falls into very taboo areas then you have to like it the way it actually appears in the text not the alternate versions of them you made up in your head. If you're having to explain away the negative parts of the relationship for you to be able to enjoy it then maybe you should reconsider whether or not you actually do like it the way you think you do.

For me personally don't like the ship (and am a little weary of people who do) but at the end of the day people are gonna ship what they want and there's nothing I can do about that. I'm just getting a little frustrated watching people try and deny the fact that Marius abused Armand in an attempt to justify why they are 'allowed' to like the pairing.

i know we haven't seen the next episode yet but already i'm obsessed with the whiplash of only seeing the dreamstat version of lestat all season, serving as mostly harmless comic relief or some reminder of the good parts of their romance because louis misses him, only for the REAL lestat to show up and suddenly it's like wait that's not your hallucinatory comfort bf lestat, that's the man who terrorized your household for decades and you're on trial for murder and HE is framed as the victim. a horror show!!
