Hi there ! I found this blog while I was searching for an old lawlight fic. I was hoping you could help me find it. I don't remember it's name or the author or the platform honestly (sorry).
The story is l x light canon divergent au. Where l and light are a couple and they go to wammys place. Idk if kira exists in this verse. The kids are first jealous of light for below close he is to l (and feels he would be a distraction to l) and pranks him with a hair dye shampoo on the first day. Light is supposed to teach them but they keep disobeying so much. They warm up to light anyway at the end.
I remember a scene where mello has a limit on choclate so light offers him carob which is a chocolate alternative. And a scene where everyone falls ill except for Matt cause he had some experiments done on him as a kid that made him immune to diseases.
L and light have a huge fight where light leaves for Japan and l gets too moody and low. The kids understand how important light is for l and behaves after this. L goes to Japan and they later reconcile and come back to wammys.
The last arc had some scuffle where beyond birthday attacks the orphanage and light protects mello.
If you could help me find this that would be amazing. Thank you so much ! 🥹
sorry i'm extremely late on this (and all the other asks... i will try to catch up lol)
might it be Welcome to the Family by @reaperlight?
"He gets weird without his chocolate." Matt made his presence known with an exasperated sigh. "I see your deductive skills need work…" Light chided, once again getting Mello's attention. "Or at least your taste buds. It's not chocolate. It's carob." Light was met with a blank look. "Come on, a genius and a chocoholic like you? Don't tell me you've never had carob?" "What the fuck is carob?" Light simply smiled and explained. "It looks like chocolate, it tastes like chocolate. But it isn't chocolate."
let me know if not and i will look again :)
for future reference, here is the search string i put into google to find this. the carob was a great unique detail to remember!

Manonnnn! I know Renpy isn't your cup of tea but you're my last hope ;-:
my game is published on itch.io but when I search for it on the website, it's not there. I followed every thing the itchio help page stated but nothing so far .
bestow upon me your wise words oh Manon the great
~ your humble fan Anon
Imma be honest... Itch.io's search functions is sometimes super rubbish when trying to find something. Sometimes things will show, sometimes it won't ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Some stuff I know will affect the search:
the project is not published (Public, not Restricted/Draft)
the project has Disable new downloads & purchases toggled on
the project has Unlisted in search & browse toggled on
the project doesn't have any thing to "play" on the page, or to download (and if that's the case, you didn't create any devlog for it)
the project doesn't have a cover image [though sometimes it's does appear?]
the project is coded NSFW (metadata) but the account doesn't have NSFW toggled to visible
the project was just published (take a few days sometimes to appear)
the search term wasn't close enough to the title [try the full name of the project]
the title of the project is too "generic" for itch
you're selling a project for the first time
TBH... I usually use Google/other search engines to find specific games rather than itch's search bar. And looking at my analytics, most people find my projects through the Browse pages, Collections, or direct links to the project anyway...

Ok, but here me out. At the risk of sounding like some peanut, this might not get you 100% there but it could scratch that itch for you.
You can dust off an old Android phone (if you don't have one, ask around, I bet someone does), install this app below, and put it in airplane mode after you're done setting it up.
Advantages:
Repurposes an old device that would have probably gone to a landfill.
No notifications interrupting your music because it's offline (might help to uninstall / disable every other app you don't need).
You can plug it into your laptop via USB and just copy your music files over like the old days.
Supports bluetooth.
???
Profit.
I hate when I say things like "oh I want an ipod classic but with bluetooth so I can use wireless headphones" and some peanut comes in and replies with "so a smartphone with spotify?" No. I want a 160GB+ rectangular monstrosity where I can download every version of every song I want to it and it does nothing except play music and I don't need a data connection and don't have to pay a subscription to not have ads and don't have popups suggesting terrible AI playlists all over the menus.
Gimme the clicky wheel and song titles like "My Chemical Romance- The Black Parade- Blood (Bonus Track)- secret track- album rip- high quality"

Oh _lovely_. Everyone go turn this off:
Enhanced Visual Search in Photos allows you to search for photos using landmarks or points of interest. Your device privately matches places in your photos to a global index Apple maintains on our servers. We apply homomorphic encryption and differential privacy, and use an OHTTP relay that hides [your] IP address. This prevents Apple from learning about the information in your photos. You can turn off Enhanced Visual Search at any time on your iOS or iPadOS device by going to Settings > Apps > Photos. On Mac, open Photos and go to Settings > General.

Google I/O 2025: Major Updates in AI, Android, Gemini, and More
Google I/O 2025 was packed with many announcements, powerful tools, and futuristic innovations. Whether you are a developer, a tech person, or just someone curious about where Google is heading next, this year’s event was full of jaw-dropping moments. From smarter AI to next-gen devices, here's a quick rundown of the top 10 highlights you absolutely shouldn’t miss.
Tumblr media
1. Gemini 2.5 Steals the Show
Gemini is no longer just an AI model — it's becoming the core brain behind everything Google does. The new Gemini 2.5 is smarter, faster, and more context-aware than ever. It can understand long conversations, answer complex questions, and even help you write code. It’s also coming with new modes like “Flash” for speed and “Live” for real-time help.
2. Search Gets Superpowers with AI Overviews
Remember how you used to Google stuff and scroll through 10 links? That’s about to change. Google’s new AI Overviews give you a direct, summarized answer right at the top — no more hunting through pages. Whether you're planning a trip, comparing products, or solving a tricky math problem, Search now feels like talking to an expert.
3. Project Astra: A Glimpse into the Future Assistant
Think of Project Astra as Google’s vision for the ultimate AI assistant. It listens, watches, and understands the world in real time. Show it a broken gadget, and it can explain what’s wrong. Ask it to remind you where you left your glasses — and yes, it might actually help.
4. AI Video Creation Goes Big with Veo
Imagine typing a prompt and watching a short film come to life. That’s Veo — Google’s new AI video generation tool. It creates high-quality, cinematic videos from text descriptions. Whether you're a content creator or a storyteller, Veo is opening up a new world of visual creativity.
5. Android Gets an AI Boost
Android 15 is coming with AI deeply embedded into your phone. Features like live summaries, context-aware replies, and smart photo editing are now powered by Gemini. It’s not just a phone anymore — it’s a thinking assistant in your pocket.
6. Smarter Wearables with Wear OS 5
Google is not leaving your wrist behind. Wear OS 5 brings better battery life, new health features, and smarter notifications. Whether you're tracking your sleep or getting quick updates, your smartwatch is becoming more helpful by the day.
7. AI in Google Workspace: Work Smarter, Not Harder
From Gmail to Docs and Meet, every Google Workspace app is getting smarter. Personalized email replies, real-time meeting translations, and design suggestions in Docs — it’s like having an assistant helping you with every task at work.
8. Material You Gets More Expressive
Design lovers, rejoice! Google’s Material You design language just got a glow-up. With smoother animations, more customization, and better accessibility, apps are looking more vibrant and feeling more personal.
9. Smart Glasses Are Back (Again)
Yes, Google hasn’t given up on smart glasses. This time, they look sleeker, and they actually seem useful. With real-time translation, visual search, and subtle AR features, these glasses might just be the next big thing — if they can avoid the mistakes of past versions.
Final Thoughts
Google I/O 2025 wasn’t just about new gadgets — it gave us a look at what’s coming next. Smart tools are now a big part of everything Google is making. From how we search online, to how we make things, and even how we talk to others — everything is changing quickly. And Google is leading the way.
So get ready, because the future is already starting.
