anyways i'm just a junior labourer the actual experts on the jobs would be able to provide a much more reassuring & professional summary of the work. i was there to haul material and other simple tasks

also there was one time i was working on a building that had fire damage and then also water damage, but the main problem was neither of those two types of damage, but the fact that they had built the foundation out of brick and then the weight of the earth had pushed on the brick foundations until they were concave. so we did a full foundation replacement by building support columns out of big chunks of lumber arranged like jenga towers, running beams across them, and wedging those up to the main floor real tight so that when we took out the bricks the house wouldn't move. and then poured a real foundation out of a real material (concrete)

i helped out with a job once where we were re-installing a support wall that got taken out. the flow was basically jacking up the ceiling/floor beams, pouring a concrete footing (the basement was unfinished), and putting a wall in (frame it, put it on the footing, bolt it down, make sure it's vertical, bolt the joists to it, remove the jacks, add drywall)

i would probably be a nightmare client though i can imagine myself going up to an engineer and going "can you do something insane for me?" and they'd be like. "no." and id ask them "why?" but i don't actually want to do the insane thing. i just want to know.
