The next time a customer makes a weird comment about my height and/or gender I'm going to pick up a dresser by myself and throw it at them
#this is a lie. i cannot lift most dressers by myself#and i would like to stay employed#but I'm so tired#people use height as a placeholder for gender sometimes and i am unfortunately 5'3 1/4“#but I'm not 'tiny'#I'm 180 pounds!#also to be clear. it is possible to acknowledge my gender at work without being gross!#you just have to uh. not express shock/concern that I'm doing this job#anyway!#isabel.vent#i pick things up and put them down#also i should note that while i can lift the weight of a lot of dressers on my own i cannot lift that weight in dresser form#because it is too bulky

Shout-out to my mom for thinking I liked George W. Bush just because I said he was right about phonics-based reading instruction (I think he sucks)

TW mild injury
I thought I'd gotten this splinter out of my hip in its entirety but nope! And it's very hard to reach so idk that I can get it out myself! I do not want to spend hours waiting in urgent care/the ER about it but I'm worried I'll have to!
#isabel.vent#why do i always have issues that are appropriate for urgent care when urgent care is closed!#because then i have to go to the ER and that's just not fun for anyone involved#I'll see what the on call nurse says. I'm mostly just concerned because i don't want to get an infection
