Spamton is, essentially, a ball-jointed marionette puppet. He feels like he's made of plastic and is more durable than most people. His sense of touch is somewhat dulled and his pain tolerance is high. Speaking of...

Anyone hitchhiking in his body will experience the same chronic pain he deals with daily. What kind of pain? All Of It. [[Discomfort And Abdominal Pain]] in his [[Guts]], mostly. He's used to it, but maybe you won't be. It's bad and nothing helps. :)

He can see very well in the dark but I wouldn't recommend taking off his shades in the sun or brightly lit areas unless you're looking for a headache.

You better be ready to eat all your food whole or else you're going to make some serious messes. But!! At least you can eat (almost) everything!

Spamton gives off sleazy car salesman vibes and lives for dealmaking. He may or may not also get some sense of fulfillment out of helping others.

He loves himself! He hates himself. He think's he's hot shit!! He thinks he's a disgusting little ball of slime. He wants to rule the world!!! He wants to go back to bed. He loves people!!!! Everybody is out to get him.

At heart, he's wholly disgusted with himself and can barely stand looking in the mirror. He'll also sell you a vape shaped like himself.

Tends to blurt his thoughts out loud, whether he wants to or not, and his [[Voice Glitches]] can really mess up whatever he's trying to say with double meanings.

OF COURSE YOU DO, HOW COULD YOU NOT!?” Regardless of what one was doing at the stroke of midnight, a booming voice echoed throughout the minds of every resident of Spirale in tandem. “IF YOU’D KINDLY TURN YOUR EYES TO THE NEAREST SCREEN, I HAVE AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE!”

Every screen in the city - be it a television, a phone, the digital screen on the fridge - all tuned into the same image. Rudimentary camera work pointed at a barely-lit visage. A three-eyed beast, each eye sporting a gleam as its feline features became more apparent. For many this was a beast that had appeared once before, but for others? “I AM THE MAD MERRYMAKER, THE PRINCE OF– AH, I’VE DONE THIS BEFORE. SIMPLY CALL ME K’HORII.”

As the cat beast spoke, throughout the city those that came from other worlds began to feel peculiarly disoriented. They couldn’t tear their eyes away from the screens but neither did they feel rooted on the ground. Almost as if it were an out of body experience. “MY ATTENTION WAS CAUGHT BY THESE HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES OF YOURS! AREN’T THEY PECULIAR? YOU LOT SPEND THE OTHER 11 MONTHS OF THE YEAR ARGUING AND FIGHTING, BUT AROUND THE HOLIDAYS YOU PRETEND TO GET ALONG! DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND ONE ANOTHER? NO! BUT THAT IS THE POINT OF MY BUSINESS HERE.”

All three of K’horii’s eyes shone crimson, and the point of view of every outsider in the city changed. They were not merely in a different place, but a different body entirely. “THE GAME IS SIMPLE! EVERY SO OFTEN YOU’LL BE SHUFFLED AROUND INTO ANOTHER BODY! WELL, IT’S MORE OF A SWAP. BEFORE YOU’RE SENT TO ANOTHER FORM YOU’LL BE RETURNED TO YOUR OWN. TIMING? THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON! The screens all flickered off in tandem, leaving the out-of-worlders in completely different forms. At least for now. But… what could he have possibly meant by the situation not being as straightforward as it seemed?

Welcome to our next rerun event, EMPATHEOREM!

As you’ve surely gleamed from the above text, this event is based around the idea of living in another’s skin and coming to better understand people in ways you might not have otherwise. Here’s a general overview of how things will work mechanically:

characters can only swap with one other character at a time. the duration of the swap is up to the muns involved, and it could last the entire event, a number of hours, or even less. do what you’re comfortable with!

the characters do not to be within close proximity of one another to swap nor does it have to be with someone they know. it could be with someone on the other side of the city, leaving them to try and figure out who they are.

swapping must be done with mun permission. please respect the boundaries of other muns!

you cannot swap with an animal / pokemon unless they are a character on the masterlist. if there’s a pikachu on the masterlist for example you could swap with them, but not the pokemon of a trainer on the masterlist.

powers remain bound to the body regardless of whether they are physical or mental along with the unlock limitations. so if muse a were to swap with muse b, they would be able to use all of muse b’s unlocked powers provided they could figure out how to use them.

it isn’t merely a physical swap however, and there are side effects to being in another’s body that become more and more prominent the more time they spend swapped.

swapped characters may be prone to acting more and more like the owner of the body they are in. so for example if muse a and muse b swap, the longer they remained swapped the more they may begin to act like one another.

swapped characters may also experience one another’s memories. with mun permission, feel free to have them remember experiences only the host body might have known. this is a great way for characters to learn things about one another that might otherwise have gone unsaid!

the former two points are optional. you do not need to utilize either if you are not comfortable with it.

if your character has any special biological traits to note, please make sure to include this information in an info post or on your ad! in cases where characters have a fatal weakness to something mundane (in cases like being weak to the sun), you can choose to have anyone in their body subconsciously realize this for example. please do not kill anyone else’s muse without permission!

a posted mini will not count as participation during this event unless it is replied to before the event period ends. likewise during this event, drabbles will not count. this is because the event is very dependent on bond building interactions and we would like you guys to reach out and write with each other.

if you are not comfortable swapping with another character you are free to avoid doing so for the event! however to earn participation you must interact with at least one character who has swapped with someone else!

in regards to icons: if you’d like to offer up icons for people to use you can, but it isn’t mandatory at all!

you can use an info post to list things like unique biological characteristics, unlocked powers, and what kind of things like memories or personality traits a character in their body may come to expect if you’re okay with them experiencing these things. you can also provide a sampling of usable icons if you’d like! we recommend you tag these info posts with ‘#iremp info’.

even if you have mun permission we will not allow nsfw to be written during the event (unless it takes place outside of the event of course!). we also ask that you do not write any content picking fun at your new body in any form, even lightheartedly, for the sake of member comfort (for instance, if your muse does not have breasts and ends up in a body that does, do not joke about “having boobies”, or if they are a different weight do not draw attention to and mock it). if you are at all unsure if something crosses this line, we ask that you refrain.

it's hard to put together anything chronological and totally cohesive but y'know. weird princess upbringing, no one who raised her is human or fellow royalty or even related to her at all, the kingdom seems to flip-flop between sunshine and rainbows + chaos with no in between... honestly you might get a headache trying to make sense of things, including: how is she so seemingly normal?

* if you are interested in swapping with vash you need to be comfortable with possibly writing themes surrounding human experimentation, torture, self-harm, etc. ty to xav for the template ♡

physical:

vash is 6'8'' and the bodily equivalent to a wacky flailing arm inflatable tube man; all long limbs and runner's muscles. he's still pretty thin, but he's gained a bit of weight during his stay here. he is accustomed to folding in on himself to fit in most spaces, so if your character is not used to that and they are anywhere non-accommodating, they are likely to bonk their forehead a lot.

your reflexes will be so fast. like a nervous cheetah.

despite looking on the leaner side, vash is inhumanly strong. he's very good at keeping it under wraps and controlling what he does, so if your character isn't used to that there may be some consequences.

his senses are very sensitive! you'll probably become a bit overwhelmed by what he considers a normal amount of sensory input.

guy is covered in scars, skin grafts, and metal bits holding him together. his left arm is missing. there are many places where the nerves are dead.

because of the combination of the amount of strain he's put on his body and lack of taking care of it, as well as being at what is basically the 'end of his battery life' with regards to what is keeping him alive, vash suffers from a lot of chronic pain. the severity differs from day to day, but typically there is almost always somewhere on him that at least sort of hurts.

weapons + abilities:

vash's abilities and weapons are currently all unlocked. you can find a list of them [ here ].

one of the abilities it being able to telepathically communicate with his brother knives, though this does not extend to their stampede equivalents. discussions with beetle or the mun of whichever character knives may swap with should be considered.

it should be noted that it takes vash well over a century to gain complete control over his abilities as a capital P Plant. Even at the end of the series, he is shown to not be 100% in control of some aspects of it. Before having the level of control he currently does, each use of his abilities had been triggered against his will, and their use had been catastrophic. Characters that try to tap into this power will most likely not have the ability to control it to the same degree.

on that note, as stated before, he is near the end of his 'battery life', which is why his hair is black. any unchecked use of his abilities will kill him. honestly i dont really mind if you do this, just give me a heads up first, lol.

vash is an extreme deadeye. as stated before, his reflexes are incredibly fast. he's shown time and time again to be able to shoot a moving bullet out of the air. do with this what you will.

his signature gun, as stated in the above list, as a Colt .45 top-loading revolver. he also has a gun hidden in his prosthetic left arm.

mannerisms:

tone changes a lot depending on the situation, but he typically speaks a bit lazily, dropping the ends of words.

often picks at the cuticles of his flesh hand out of nervous habit.

also rests his hand on the back of his head a lot out of nervous habit.

almost constantly fidgeting or shifting his weight around or moving unless he is completely comfortable.

enormous sweet tooth.

loves kids and is perceived as incredibly bully-able by most.

almost always concentrating on his movement and sound; he has the ability to either make himself silent but often deliberately makes himself known to appear more friendly. it comes second nature to him most of the time, and he doesn't have to really think about it. however the second he actually stops thinking about it he very much does trip over his own two feet.

almost always wearing his sunglasses

almost constantly overly-aware of how he might come off as non-human and does a lot to try and make sure it's undetectable.

over dramatic. screams a lot. also an absolute fucking yapper.

vash gets a lot of nightmares and ptsd episodes from various sources; losing his mother, being experimented on by his brother, his body being forcefully taken over against his will on multiple accounts, wolfwood dying, etc. i can give more information as needed.

memories of his time post-series which are-- hazy, often. tw for self harming and alcoholic tendencies here, should be discussed in dms first.

memories of wandering the desert with his brother after the collective crash of the SEEDS fleet, along with the memories leading up to and surrounding knives cutting off vash's arm.

the transistor is a massive broadsword. red literally has to drag it across the ground to carry it. also, its current attacks are used by slamming it into the ground! fun!

this is obvious, but: he talks! the "sword" is really just a big USB stick with some souls inside.. it's totally not weird dw about it

red stands at 5'4" / 5'7" in heels. she's always wearing them, her boyfriend's leather jacket, and a torn up dress.

she's quick; light on her feet, and can weave through people easily

lost her ability to speak, but she can still hum. you can hear traces of what her voice once sounded like through that method, or a sigh

although she can't speak, she does know sign language! the transistor can translate that very easily for her.

she signs with precision. her fingers move elegantly, confidently, like she's done this all her life, even though she has not.
