Ever since Tyrell put a makeshift fence up around the backyard, Arlo’s been swearing up and DOWN that he’s about to shit his pants and insisting we go out in the back in the dead of the night, every night, but as soon as we get there he finds his football and does this 😅 (We don’t normally go in the back at all at night bc it is very dark and I always hear whistling in the woods behind it. I’m sure it’s some sort of night bird but it still freaks me out lol. At night we always go in front or for a walk around the neighborhood. Which is much less scary with my man-eating scary dog privilege 😌. Not sure he’s a match for haunted woodland creatures. Anyway he’s very cute so I have been being brave for him. The fence helps even though it’s just chicken wire and hot pink rebar and TWINE lol.)

BEHOLD THESE THREE PARTICULAR BLOCKS FROM THE FRAMEDBLOCKS MOD!!!!! FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, THE "FRAMED SECRET STORAGE", THE "FRAMED DOOR", AND THE "FRAMED ONE-WAY WINDOW"
FRAMED SECRET STORAGE, A BLOCK WITH SOME STORAGE THAT CAN BE CAMOUFLAGED TO LOOK LIKE WHATEVER BLOCK YOU DESIRE!!!! WANT TO BUILD YOUR WHOLE HOUSE OUT OF CHESTS AND STILL MAINTAIN AESTHETIC?? GO FOR IT!! HAVE SECRET CONTRABAND BUT NEED EASY ACCESS? HIDE IT RIGHT IN YOUR WALLS!!!
THE FRAMED DOOR, ABLE TO BE CUSTOMIZED TO LOOK LIKE A WALL!! THE TOP AND BOTTOM CAN BE ASSIGNED BLOCKS INDEPENDENTLY!!
SECRET TUNNEL!!!!!!!!!
THE FRAMED ONE-WAY WINDOW!! ANY ONE SIDE OF THIS BLOCK CAN BE MADE TRANSPARENT, INCLUDING THE TOP AND BOTTOM!!! the transparency can also be REMOVED, so if your friend forgets to look at the name of the block their crosshair is on, YOU CAN TOTALLY PRETEND IT'S A TOTALLY NORMAL SOLID BLOCK AND ADD THE TRANSPARENCY ONLY WHEN NECESSARY >:D
NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM SO EXCITED FOR WHEN THE PARANOID MEMBERS WITH MANY SECRETS AND MANY THINGS TO HIDE DISCOVER THESE BLOCKS HEHEHEHEHEHE. AS SOMEONE WHO LOVES AND CHAMPIONS ESPIONAGE THIS CONSTITUTES AN ABSOLUTE WIN

My son boy who is very good and goes on walks in his harness (it’s his only yard time, I only take him when he’s super energetic or crying at the door) was so fucking cute today i needed to share a picture of him, that’s a flowering bush he’s next to and he was sniffing the flowers before I took his picture

I have a genuine question about outdoor/tie-out/tether dogs. I feel like I'm missing something when I ask this, but how are dogs that live outdoors at all times protected from wild animals? Especially if they're on a tie-out or tether and there's no fence to keep not-dog animals out? I'm very familiar with how all the other parts of keeping outdoor animals goes--enrichment, clean environment, shelter, etc, but I don't understand how one would keep a dog safe while living in bear/moose country.
Ideally in an environment where wild animals may pose a legitimate danger it is recommended to have a barrier fence around your tie out area, basically anything to deter wild animals. (In this hypothetical scenario you keep your dog on a tie out because a fence does not contain them securely and the fence is used as a deterrent to wild animals).
Especially when it comes to bears I would recommend keeping the exterior and interior of the home clean of food scraps. Do not put your trash bin near your tie out area (basically take regular bear precautions).
And also remember: dogs are often a deterrent for wildlife. Unless the animal is starving or protecting young it is unlikely they will force an unnecessary interaction with your dog. Bears have also been known to ignore tied out dogs as they cannot reach them and don’t see them as threatening. Inuit even will let their sled dogs loose to stave off polar bears and allow the rest of a hunting party to pass because bears generally find dogs pretty averse.
That being said in areas with a lot of predatory wildlife an enclosed pen with a roof will be more secure, especially for small dogs that could be carried off by birds of prey. You can also utilize other types of deterrents to your property boundaries such as noise makers, lights, alarms, flapping foil etc.
