i grew up by the sea
#it wasnt really scary except for the fact that swimming back to shore always took longer than youd expect#because you had to fight against currents and also sometimes the tides#it was very easy to panic if you werent used to barely making headway after several minutes of fighting with the water#and didnt know how to adjust your course appropriately
