like i really wish the masses Could actually do something to stop the destruction of the only planet we have to live on. i wish it Was our fault and not the fault of like. a handful of people. bc then i would feel like doing something would help

#dont tell me we can #until i see on the news that an oil corp is being dismantled/charged with prioritizing profit over ppl #i will not believe it #it would also be cool if climate activists werent brutalized by militant govt orgs just for protesting #it would be cool if even half of our military budget went towards renewable energy #im so tired of my dad telling me that it isnt a reasonable means of energy production #u know when youre a kid nd you think your parents are so smart and always good and do the right thing and are always right?#nothing disappoints me more than him being so gravely wrong about that. and so determined to hold to that belief #he really told me ‘if we have enough oil to sustain then whats the point of trying to switch to a different type of energy’#im like. im tearing my hair out. this isnt even something to preserve for my children #this is something to preserve for my entire life. i cannot spend the majority of my life watching my planet die #i wont have kids or even an adulthood if we dont get on this shit right fucking now #and nobody around me that has real connections seems to care.#any time i talk abt and show proof of climate change they literally change the subject #like. it is so incredibly frustrating
