I do admit, I watched the 1st episode of Blood in the Bayou by JRWI and It was soooo goood 🧎🏽‍♀️🧎🏽‍♀️🧎🏽‍♀️ As a fan of 1980s eldritch horror aesthetic, this campaign totally my fav😭 And also I in-love with the three main, especially Kien. Hope nothing bad happens to them( which probably not true judge by how this genre work, but I'm here for a ride.)

ik I think this after every campaign I finish in jrwi but I genuinely think that apotheosis might be my fav. it's definitely tied with riptide at this point that ending was fucking everything to me

Ill ask another because why not, fav prime defender AND fav pd npc and why?

All of them are written and played so well its hard to choose, but im gonna go with el wiwi, and as much as I love mark le frog takes the top spot.

my favorite pd npc.... thats such a tough one,, Dakota is EASILY my favorite pc, and he's maybe also my favorite jrwi pc ever, tied with Jay.

erghh my fav npc has to be Mark. I love Le Frog and i love Tide- but Mark. I maybe love him because of his relationship with Dakota. Wavelength isn't a bad guy, is the thing. He's a father, and although he isn't amazing, he tries, and that's the best he can do. And he keeps trying, because that's all he knows to do. All that he has done has been for Ashe, to protect him, to save him.

Mark also is just so honest. I don't think we see that a lot in PD, all the characters have lied and done bad things despite being GOOD guys. Yet Mark makes it clear; He doesn't want to hurt kids because he can sympathize with other parents, but he will not let anyone stop him. He has set motives and a set goal. When you really look at him, and how he was also clearly experimented on, you kinda can see Dakota.

Dakota also has a really strong belief system. Dakota will also let no one stop him. He is honest to a fault, and is a good guy through and through. And he is also a result of experimentation. Mark became Wavelength to protect his son, and Dakota became DC while protecting Kat and protecting the rest of the world.

Maybe that's why their conflicts are so good?? I remember Dakota had a solo face off against Mark, while William and Vynce were at belltech. I remember feeling the huge difference between the two situations. One one hand, you had good people fighting each other- Because Mark is not a bad person, but he doesn't do good things. But then you had William and Vynce being bad people to fight against bad people. They did bad things because they believer it was the best option, not because they thought it was good. It was easy though.

I remember reading a fic about Dakota and Mark's relationship. How they hated each other, but begrudgingly tolerate each other when needed. How as soon as the field is level, and they are both on their two feet, they will fight again. They are both stubborn and maybe Dakota was afraid of being too much like Mark, and maybe Mark is scared for Dakota as well. After all, he seems to know entirely too much about the hero system.

Mark isn't generally a sympathetic character, but he still cares. Dakota doesn't really think, he just acts, and he may hurt people but he still loves.

Sorry thats a ramble. You get me going on about my favorite campaign and also my favorite character and it's a mess. I really went on about Dakota and Mark in comparison to each other. I love Dakota so much for more reasons than this that I will not go into at the moment,,

okokok soo there r a few different places u can start :33 there r like 4 campaigns that r easy to access.

there’s the main one Riptide!!! which is what i post about most :3 theres pirates and gay people and idk i’m really bad at summarizing things. but very much found family and a good mix of seriousness and silliness :] this playlist has all the episodes in order (108 episodes…. it’s very daunting. i stared watching at about 80 episodes i think?) it’s currently still going (and according to the dm, grizzly, about halfway through!)

the other on going camping is prime defenders !! idk anything about pd rlly, except that it’s like teenage/young adult superheroes? and i think it starts pretty lighthearted but gets way more serious. i barely know anything about this campaign tbh. i think there’s 5 episodes on the youtube and the rest is on patreon (there may be a totally approved playlist with the patreon episodes though. idk tho) this is the first episode tho !

then one of the two completed campaigns is APOTHEOSIS!!!!! i think apotheosis is tied with riptide for my fav campaign :] i think u might like apoth, idek know how to properly summarize it it’s so so good. like. godslaying, queer people, sex jokes, religion, angst, it’s amazing . i can’t pick a fav pc either it’s so so good. the first episode is on youtube and the rest (12 or 13 i think) are on patreon (i have a link to a totally approved and public playlist tho if u want it). it’s genuinely such a good campaign. i’m not an expert on it tho uhh if u wanna know more my good friend @/scrubbythebubble knows a lot about it :3

and last but not least BLOOD IN THE BAYOU!!!!!!!! ogh. i can’t even start this campaign is amazing. like horror? friendship? middle aged men? bugs? this is the campaign for u. charlie slimecicle is such a good dm. it’s a call of cthulu campaign but if u don’t know the mechanics they’re explained very well through the campaign . it’s genuinely so so good it’s given me the shivers so many times. the first episode is on youtube and the last 3 are on patreon. the last 3 episodes r audio only so i sadly don’t think there’s a totally approved playlist out there 😔 it’s rlly good tho just uh. quite a few content warnings

YEAH!!!! sorry this is so long and took so long i just love love jrwi. uhh if u plan on watching anything i would block the tags ‘jrwi spoilers’, ‘jrwilb’, and ‘[campaign name] spoilers’ if it’s pretty hard to stay unspoiled for like apoth and bitb, but i REALLY recommend going in with no spoilers bc shit just hits soo much harder :3 and jrwilb is the liveblogging tag !!

heyo big g! love everything you've done in jrwi! your acting range is insane and really elevates riptide (which would still be super super fun and compelling even without your range), and dakota and rumi/elena are my fav characters in their respective campaigns :D but i'm mostly dropping in here to let you know something else, which is that persona 5 has recently infested my brain *alongside* jrwi, and it's all your fault!!! a short while back, i needed something new to watch, so i started watching your persona 5 vods. and they were so fun that i binged the whole playthrough. and then i had to go find and watch a p5 strikers playthrough. and now i am reading the manga and am going to start following p5 blogs here on tumblr. what have you done to me man i hope you're happy 😩

YEAH I LOVE PERSONA!! THAT GAME GAVE ME SO MANY OF THE ASPIRATIONS I HAVE NOW!! I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM PLAYING IT, ESPECIALLY ABOUT MYSELF!! I can't wait to replay it for stream again soon. Play Catherine, and the persona games everyone. I really adore Atlas. Soejima-san, their lead character designer, is also one of my biggest inspirations for art.
