#it's SO easy to find accurate info on adhd now

ok jane the virgin, what the actual hell? did you......do any research on adhd beyond like.....???? a few opinion or outdated articles??
1. dietary improvements this has proven to not actually make a huge difference with adhd kids. yes, improved diet (less sugar, simple carbs, etc) can help a little. but not enough to make a substantial difference. adhd is not a diet centered condition--it’s in the fucking brain. ofc a good diet is important, but that’s not because a person has adhd, it’s bc they’re a fucking person just like everyone else.
2. incorporate heavy exercise before school mateo is what? five? six? good fucking luck managing that first of all. and again, yes, exercise before has proven to be helpful, but not just in people with adhd? they’ve done studies that show that exercising before studying helps improve focus and memory, the studies weren’t adhd specific. and tbh, i’ve been a dancer all my life, in high school i was on a competitive team that met every morning before school (and most days after school) and while the exercise helped a little, i’m betting actually being able to get a decent several hours of sleep would’ve been better. i got good grades in high school, but i struggled severally with subjects i didn’t find interesting. my lack of sleep made focusing so hard i would fall asleep in class. often.
3. Constant feedback, reward, consequences   probably the only point i agree with, but the bullet is too broad. i was unmedicated until i was 17. my parents worked instead on managing my behavior, helping me regulate them (all while also not telling me i had adhd bc the doctor that diagnosed me said not to--that presented other issues) and disciplining me when my actions were way out of line. i learned how to stop and think a little more when i was feeling a lot. adhd is named for how the condition impacts people who don’t have it. for those of us that do, the inability to process and regulate emotions, our executive dysfunction, and our rejection sensitive dysphoria are our biggest challenges. sometimes our struggles with them are so subtle that people who don’t struggle with these don’t notice.
jane and rafael should be doing more work in educating themselves about adhd and in turn, helping mateo understand. he needs to know how his brain operates in order to be able to know himself and his strengths and weaknesses.
unlike what jane and raf were saying, no, medication is not always some lifelong commitment. and i personally am not a fan of medicating anyone under the age of 14 bc some medications have studies that point to growth being stunted, and kids should learn as much as they can about coping before meds come into play. ofc, some cases are different.
i started medication at 17 and took it until i was 19. then, bc of cost, i stopped for a couple of years. i graduated university with two undergrad degrees without medication. the only reason i managed was because during that time, i began reading, researching, and understanding adhd--something i never had before. i went back on medication when i started working on my masters. i’m off it again because i’m pregnant and there are some studies that suggest that the kind of medication i’m on can lead to birth defects.
for me personally, my life is a lot easier on medication. it’s easier for me to process what i’m feeling, decide if it’s an overreaction or not. if i struggle with emotion processing, i’m more likely to ask someone i trust to help me figure that out. it’s easier to prioritize tasks and get things done. i have less anxiety. but i can manage without it, all because i’m educated on how my brain works! medication can be a lifelong commitment for some, but it’s not for everyone. (also medication is hella expensive and regulated and a lot of us have to go gaps without it bc of financial reasons or we can’t get approval right away. also, sometimes we forget to go into a doctor to get prescriptions when we need it. we forget to do this EVEN on meds. it’s not a cure all.) we can deal with a comedown once the medication starts wearing off, but there is no withdrawal if we come off it entirely.
do fucking better jane the virgin. (which...i know u won’t bc you’ve finished filming, but the point still fucking stands!)
also, them constantly telling mateo he “just needs to focus” is gross. it’s not that simple for us??? like....it’s literally in the name that it’s difficult. and the idea of us adhders needing to burn off energy is put forward by fuckers who don’t have it and want us tired enough to be docile.
yes, adhd can be hard for parents/family/guardians, but imagine how those of us feel who actually struggle with our brain??? fuck off.
their talk at the end of the episode didn’t really improve anything discussed at the beginning.

What are the inattentive symptoms of ADHD?
Before I answer, it’s important to acknowledge that not everyone experiences ADHD the same way. I came up with this list through hours of extensive research, but I still explained each one based on how I experience them personally, because I wanted it to be an honest and accurate resource.
Now, I experience every inattentive symptom of ADHD severely. As well as most hyperactive type symptoms, but not nearly as severely. Hence why my explanations are on the severe side. So if you don’t experience every one of these, or you don’t experience them exactly like this, that doesn’t mean you don’t have ADHD.
Most Commonly Known Symptoms:
Inattentive ADHD is pretty much the same thing as hyperactive ADHD but with less hyperactive tendencies. So technically these symptoms apply to both, but ADHD has a few more that won’t be listed here.
• Inability to focus on disinteresting or unengaging tasks even if you need or even want to – As if your brain physically won’t let you. Because that’s exactly what’s happening. There is no, “Just do it because you have to.”
For real. Imagine a video came where you’ve reached the end of the map and there’s that invisible barrier to keep you from going any farther. But all the other players are passing it just fine. They look at you like you’re crazy and can’t believe that you can’t get through. But it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE.
Now apply that to easy individual movements or tasks like plugging in your charger right next to you or washing a few bowls.
• Focusing WAY too much on this single thing whether you like it or not. It’s called “hyperfixating” and it’s both the most exhilarating experience in the world and the most soul crushing. You can watch/do nothing else, consume nothing else, think of nothing else. It’s exciting and invigorating. But as soon as there is no more material/info about it to devour, existence is gray and meaningless. The adrenaline rush and laser focus are like nothing else, but the crash is just as intense.
• Inability to divert attention to something different when you're already focused on something else. (More of a product of the two above, really)
• Inability to organize or maintain a neat system. It’s not that we don’t have a system (because we do, and if it’s altered in the most miniscule way we will know and we will be furious) but that our systems tend to be more about ease of access. It looks messy, but everything is just easily reachable instead of tucked away in drawers or hidden in organizer bins.
“Out of sight, out of mind.” As soon as we can’t see it, or we get used to it and it becomes a background visual (like background noise but for your eyes), it no longer exists. Until we see it again we have never seen it before either.
• Emotions are forceful and kinda scary. Lacking the ability to regulate emotions means violently strong feelings. They can sweep you away and leave you stranded in an uncomfortable predicament. Major highs and lows as well as strong grudges and emotionally based actions.
• Distractability: There’s this stereotype that all people with ADHD are hyper airheads who cut off mid sentence to shout random shit like “SQUIRREL!” whenever they see something remotely interesting. They’re super excited about it and HAVE to let everyone know, no matter what they were doing before. It’s kind of the “cutesie” version that the media portrays a lot. Most ADHDers don’t actually fit this stereotype.
However, stereotypes are often based on true characteristics, even if they have been twisted into a sick joke or a cruel portrayal.
NOTE: There is nothing wrong with this form of ADHD. It just sucks that if you don’t match this stereotype, no one really believes you have ADHD. Also that so many people use it to insult and bully people with ADHD, even if that isn’t how they display their symptoms.
Lesser Known Symptoms:
Basically if these are #relateable, you probably have ADHD.
• Unable to conceptualize time in any way. Will this take two minutes? Three hours? No one knows! You thought this would take a half hour at most and it’s taken three! How?? This was a five-minute task and you’ve just realized you zoned out. It felt like two seconds but it was two hours!
• There is only Now and Not Now. Again, it’s a time thing. The future always seems so far away that it's almost like it doesn't exist. "Time is a construct" is something I often say because I have no sense of time passing, having past, or will pass. People describe me as "living in the present.” But that’s only because I forget that there is a future or that time is moving. I just don't think about it at all and when I try to it's impossible to understand and it feels made up.
• Sensitive to any form of rejection, actual or perceived. A friend texts you back, but they don’t sound nearly as enthusiastic as usual. You immediately tear your message apart to try to find what upset them and how you can make it up to them. Because surely that’s what that nontypical period means? You want to curl up in a hole and never come out, never face the horrible thing you’ve done to a treasured friend. Intense fear and sorrow mingle into all consuming guilt. The kind that makes you wish you’d never met them, just so they wouldn’t have to be hurt by you now. All because they added a period.
Everyone with some form of an anxiety disorder will recognize this. But it’s also a very common ADHD experience. This is in part because anxiety is SUPER likely to be comorbid with ADHD. But we also have Rejection Sensative Dysphoria. Which basically means we’re ridiculously sensitive to the slightest possibility of the barest chance that we maybe might receive a sliver of perceived ambiguous rejection. To the point where we cut off good relationships for seemingly no reason because we’re too afraid to even speak to them again, much less explain our emotions that we know are irrational but can’t help. The guilt and regret are too agonizing, the fear to face them too much.
• Reading is AWFUL. We’ve already established that attention is not your friend. Unfortunately, that makes it difficult to read blocks of boring text. The information could be good, it could be fun even. But if the format is too uniform and plain, it’s impossible to get past the first few sentences. You just keep rereading the same line over and over, realizing every time that you zoned out halfway across. It’s infuriating and very sad. It also makes studying an absolute nightmare.
Many people actually don’t have this experience. They hyperfocus on their reading or their schoolwork so it isn’t a problem. I was the same way until college and now I can’t even read a little recipe card without zoning out. But it’s a very common experience nevertheless so I listed it anyway.
• Ringing ears, hearing electricity. This is one I just heard about. I haven’t been able to actually research this one, but it’s interesting and every ADHDer I know has confirmed it so I’m adding it. ‘Cause I’ve had constant ringing since I was old enough to talk. And I’ve always been able to hear power lines, household appliances, wires inside the walls, all those varying vibrating hums and crackling pops. It’s one of the weird quirks that “run in the family.” Just like Tinnitus and all ADHD symptoms. Apparently, MANY people with ADHD have similar experiences.
• Negative stimming. Things that negatively stimulate your senses. After encountering a certain stim, you feel it physically. It causes a sensation that hurts, in a way. It shouldn’t, logically. But your body’s reaction is to pain. This includes foods you can’t eat because the texture is wrong. Clothing you can’t wear because you can easily breath but no you really can’t because the collar sits wrong against your throat. Sounds that make your spine stiffen or skin crawl. Bright lights or colors that don’t affect anyone else but make your head ache.
Stims and sensitivity can affect any and all senses. A certain smell, agitating fabrics, an unbelievably smooth stone, specific tastes and food textures, certain color combinations, particular sounds/pitches/volumes, et cetera.
• Positive stimming. The other side of the sensory coin. Things that are exceptionally pleasant to your senses/stimulate you positively. For example, the way light shines through a transparent bright blue gem. Watching the light catch and twist so fluidly when you move it takes your breath away. There’s a euphoric feeling to it, and you can’t look away. It’s too pleasing. It’s like a deep satisfaction you can physically feel throughout your whole body, emanating from deep within your chest. You never want to stop that feeling.
Personally, it feels like my chest is somehow much deeper than it actually is. And at the farthest, deepest part is where that satisfaction settles. Nothing else can ever reach that hidden, impossibly deep cavity. It’s so amazing, I never want it to stop. It can feel like that endless pit is starved, and the stim is the first sustenance it’s ever had so it never what’s to let it go.
• Forgetting supposedly unforgettable things. Like where the fuck I parked my car. Also what my car looks like. It’s blue right? It has a hatch. I accidently memorized the license plate (complicated story) but I can’t tell you what model it is?? Is it even in this parking lot? I’ve never parked anywhere else but my memory is obviously garbage so now I need to check every parking lot just in case.
End Note:
It’s important to know that ADHD has many symptoms that overlap with other nuerodivergencies such as autism or ASD. Executive dysfunction can be caused by a number of mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. Emotional regulation problems can look just like Bipolar disorder and vice versus.
My point is, every symptom could actually be something else. It’s really easy to be misdiagnosed because they all have such similar symptoms. I know someone who thought they had ADHD for years, but it was actually a mix of severe depression and anxiety that fucked with their working memory (as both depression and anxiety do). Someone else I know was diagnosed with manic depression and thought they might be bipolar, but it was undiagnosed ADD the whole time.

Here we go!! A Bungo stray dogs and WT matchup?? I am a straight female, my mbti is the Debater which I think is accurate, bc I'm p good at playing devil's advocate lol, I'm also a Scorpio! I have very long wavy hair and I'm only 5'4 and a little on the chubby side, and I have glasses! Now for the fun stuff: Im usually very hyperactive, I tend to think more logically than emotionally, and I'm a switch in relationships so I can lead or follow. More stuff in the next part ;0 1/2 3 max.
Pt 2!!! I briefly studied psychology and I'm fairly good at mathematics I suppose?? I enjoy video games though I'm pretty bad at them and I LOVE horror even though I scare very easily. I have adhd, so my brain tends to be in at least 8 different directions at once, and I have anxiety so I'm constantly listening to music to calm myself down. I'm terrified of spiders!!! I collect manga and knives, and I like rollercoasters!!! I curse a lot, but I try to be respectful to others who don't enjoy it
Last part!! Sorry for so much info!!! Um.. I'm into polyamory so tbh the more the merrier, I'm a heavy flirt and sometimes I worry I come off as easy. Boys make me nervous dksjjsd. That's all!! Ty so much for doing this you're very lovely !!!
Bungou Stray Dogs
Aaah this one has been pretty difficult ! To be honest, I spent long minutes scrolling through my list of BSD chracters, but I kinda ignored the Guild (except Poe and Louisa, its characters are difficult to me to write for) and when I looked at it again, I realized Mark Twain would be a perfect fit for you ! You’re both very energetic people so you would find in each other someone that matches your energy. That wouldn’t keep Mark from helping you calm down when you’re too anxious, making jokes to put you at ease or if you don’t feel like laughing, putting on his music to center your thoughts. Or read a exerpt of his autobiography, that’s entirely up to you.
If you challenge this man to video games, especially shooting games, he will absolutely crush you : s/o or not, Mark gives me the impression of someone very competitive. Plus, his shooting skills wouldn’t leave you any chances… But afterwards, he would give you tips and I have no doubts that with that kind of teacher, you would get better at video games really quick. Since the day he learns that you love rollercoasters, 80% of your dates would be at amusement parks. He enjoys them very much and would scream at every single loop. Every. Single. Loop. Not because he’s scared, of course, but because he thinks it’s funnier this way.
He would love your collections and joke about the knives, telling you to not to use them on him. About spiders… Let’s be honest here : he would probably tell Huck and Tom to take care of them. I can already imagine you two standing on a table while he looks for the spider with his Ability… Finally, Mark is very flirty as well (I mean he just walks around with his shirt open-) and I believe the beginning of your relationship would just be playful dates, before it becomes something deeper. You two would have a serious talk about polyamory – I think Twain would be willing to try even if he would probably prefer to be exclusive, but with some conditions since he hasn’t done this before.
World Trigger
Now, for World Trigger ! This one was way more obvious : I match you with Yosuke Yoneya ! Like Twain, he’s a very energetic young man who probably plays video games and reads manga (bonus points for you if you talk to him about the pins on his uniform). When you first meet, you would immediately put you at ease - Yoneya is someone easy to be around of - and would make sure you aren’t intimidated by the fact he’s in a high-ranked unit. He would find your height difference adorable and would regularly prank you just to see your expression – unless he feels you’re anxious. In this case, he would try his best to soothe you and bring you to a place where you are more confortable.
Yoneya would definitely come ask you to help for his math homework and if you refuse, he would insist with his puppy eyes until you give in. He may be an A-class agent, but he still needs to pass his classes and god know this boy is bad at school (he has one of the worst grades in Border, very far from his unit’s nerds). He wouldn’t mind your cursing, he probably does it too, and can be a big flirt too. However, unlike Twain, I believe he wouldn’t want to be in a poly relationship.
Hope you enjoyed these matchups, and sorry for the delay !

Friday was a day of big and small emotions. I don't think I would have written out my feelings like that had I not read J-Hope's Instagram post where he reflected on the good and the bad from the past year. But now that the new year is here, I feel like I can breathe easier. I was listening to BTS's album Map of the Soul: 7 into the new year and felt that even if I don't have the big stuff figured out, even if the future looms over me like a dark cloud right now, I can still focus on the little things and do what I can in the mean time. Like listening to their song 00:00 (Zero O'Clock) and feeling a the hopefulness of the song as my clock in real life turned 00:00.
Armys on Twitter have encouraged each other to, instead of resolutions, say what we want to Focus On in the coming year (to take inspiration from JK's AMA's acceptance speech haha).
This year I want to Focus On:
-Getting healthier by working out more to strengthen my neck and back to truly rid myself of my muscle pain there
-Start tracking my fertility and just overall getting to know more about my body
-Get evaluated for ADD/ADHD/mental health in general bc I've only been "suggested" to have PMDD
-Exploring more of our new city and new state (safely)
-Eating lots of tasty foods (especially when we venture out and explore). My current job is very physical, and I've lost 20 lbs in the past three months of working there, so I can stop worrying about calories and just enjoy what I eat
-Starting to learn Korean for real this time!
-Read more for fun, and maybe finish the first three Wheel of Time books I was gifted for Christmas. I still haven't shaken this feeling that reading/watching stuff for fun on my own is just a waste of time where I could be doing something else more productive even when I do have free time.
-Be more patient with myself. It's hard to always love myself with pains and aches but I can learn to be patient to understand how my body is just doing its best 💜
-A personal project I started in Dec where I read different "vagina manuals" aka self-help books for vagina owners that promise to have all the info and tips and tricks for how to take care of your vagina bc society doesn't really teach us. I dealt with some personal issues throughout 2021 and just wanted to find an owner's manual for how to take care of myself, but are the ones out there currently science-based and accurate and do they explain everything in an easy to understand way? I must Read and Find Out!

Get to Know Your Followers!
I got tagged by
@offaeriesandfoxes
(thank you!!!) so I guess let’s just do this. I’m gonna use these questions as an excuse to tell stories because that is way more interesting.
Rules: Answer the questions (which you can change if you don’t feel like answering certain questions) and then tag 20 followers you want to get to know better!
1. Nickname
When I worked at a bar last year and we got slammed with orders, to cope with the rush and inspire my coworkers to knock it out of the park. I occasionally referred to myself in third person as “El Tigre”. Beause we were all fierce like tigers and would conquer this rush. As in:
“Hey, Olivia, can I have a pint of Weihenstephan and a middy of Carlton?”
“El Tigre will fulfil your request--but El Tigre is commanded by no man!”
This would go on for probably too long, and I would constantly change from El Tigre, to La Tigre, to Il Tigre, until I forgot that I was doing it because, well, we had fuckin’ drinks to pour.
...and typing this out, it’s no wonder my coworkers thought I was always high. I never went to work high or drunk. I may often have *left* work pretty drunk, but that’s a different story, and one I moved cities to get away from.
2. Gender?
Female but go off i guess, is probably the most accurate. Proud and loving vagina owner--but I’m not opposed to the idea of having a penis instead. Basically, as long as there were genitals down there I’d feel normal. I think. This is all hypothetical because, as we all know, genitals are not as easy to swap in and out as piercings.
I have this habit of describing myself as cis because I don’t have dysphoria but I’m not actually sure this is accurate. OMG HUMANS ARE ALL ON A SPECTRUM.
3. Star sign? Taurus sun / Taurus moon / Capricorn rising. Soooo really fuckin Taurus, and REALLY fuckin’ earth sign. I’m very earth element oriented in general. I was born in April, which is in Autumn, and I assign Autumn to earth as well. It’s the only season I really like, and it’s the sign I feel comfortable in, AND... well, I have literally hugged a tree three days out of the past five. But because of my ADHD I have never felt detail oriented, which is a super earth trait apparently. Maybe now I’m medicated that’ll change.
(also, hey, @offaeriesandfoxes, we share moon and rising signs :) )
4. Height? 10cm taller than the average Australian woman, and smug about it. slightly threatened by women who are taller than I am.
5. Sexuality? If they are moving, human and consensual, I am down to pound. (In theory, at least. In practise I am monogamous.) For a shorter term, queer or bi.
If I can’t tell what gender you are I have probably fallen briefly in love with you.
I am attracted to personality traits in people that are generally termed “masculine” - protector, stability, but tempered with the “feminine” - nurturing and caring. Fuckin’ stupid way of categorising traits but there you go.
In an LTR with a cis man.
6. Hogwarts house? Ravenpuff or Huffleclaw.
7. Favorite animal? Bears, I think.
otters are a close second. .
And I love my cats.
8. Average hours spent sleeping? What I wish I spent sleeping: 10 hrs.
What I get: 6-7. Then I sleep in for like 14 hours at a time. It is not healthy.
9. Dogs or cats? FUCK OFF WITH THIS CHOICE BULLSHIT
10. Number of blankets you sleep with? two minimum. at all times, even in Australian summers.
11. What’s your dream trip? It changes. I want to go to the UK and Ireland and check out all the sacred sites. I’d love to go to Japan and check out its temples, nature and culture.
12. What’s your dream job? making money off my music and novels while travelling the world as people pay me to have interesting and humorous discussions with them.
But this is reality, so counsellor :P
13. When did you make this account?
14. How many followers do you have? I don’t know how to find that info but I know it’s about 10.
15. How many pets babies do you have? Two huge furry ragdoll x domestic cats. They are rescues and have beautiful natures.
16. Best place to visit in your town or country? My house, bro.
Seriously though, probably just go to Esperance. Beautiful beaches, great waves for surfing, chilled out town, healing vibes. It’s my favourite place to go.
17. Favourite ice cream? hokey pokey!
18. How often do you lie?
Honestly? Several times a week and I don’t like it. It’s mostly to cover my ass for inattention, so hopefully now that I’m getting treated for ADHD I won’t have to as much. I used to lie like a rug growing up because my parents were so strict and crazy Christian that there was no other way for me to have anything to myself.
19. Favourite party theme?
20. Who do you stan?
The fuck is stanning.
Ok i just looked it up after writing that and here goes.
Queen Elizabeth I. Florence Welch. Simone Giertz (the robot chick). Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn99, and a bisexual role model!!). Jim Parsons (Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory).
And I wish Doreen Valiente was still alive.
And Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt and Benedict Cumberbatch I’M ONLY FUCKING HUMAN OKAY.
I’m tagging
@angelofdeathandsilence , @hekatheancient , @salemthecat-washere, @mjsswjtch-main, @woodland-lullaby, @mysticmoon77, @kraesworld, @lillyday, @marshflower-witch
y’all are following me god knows why so let’s interact :)

Young adult, no health insurance, I need help!?
"Young adult, no health insurance, I need help!?
I am going to make this simple as possible: During this year, Jan to March, I have been on my parent's insurance, NJ FamilyCare, which we were enrolled under free-care because we were horribly under the poverty line, or above it? We're poor, that's it. And on April 1st, I was terminated from my insurance, they are saying I am 19 years of age, thus I have no insurance. Late August we (as a family) re-applied with all our names, and sent the papers in. But with a lot of research, I knew I shouldn't have been, under the Affordable Care Act I should have been on my parent's insurance until the age of 26. I meet the requirements: 1. Dependent Adult (19 years old) 2. Full - time student, no college insurance. 3. No insurance for 6 months now. 4. Not employed. I know for a fact, that being a full-time student, and being unemployed, shouldn't affect this, but maybe it is? I talked to a representative from the welfare office, (where my parents applied) and the lady (rudely) told me that because I am 19, and in school, I was terminated. And my social worker won't be done looking at the papers until late November. WTF? That doesn't make sense, so I kept the battle on, and told her that I should be covered under the law. But after some bullsh*tting around, she hung up on me. So I called again. And this time, another lady was saying, her son who is 20 years old, is insured under her insurance, and that I should come in with my parents, and tell our social worker that I am a full time student, who can't afford to be employed, (because of my 21 credit semester), I am dependent, and I have no job. I was like, well, it's not like I don't want a job, I just can't find the time to have one. I used to work 12 hour shifts, so don't think I don't like to work. The main reason I need the insurance, is because of my ADHD and Mania. I also always get sick, and have kidney problems. But with this, I still can't imagine why I was terminated. The lady told me I shouldn't have been under the law, but different people have different ideas... So, I will go to my social worker on the Tuesday, and find out what's happening. But I know I should be covered, and at least for my sake until I am 23-24. To which I plan to graduate and get my own insurance, and home. But if it doesn't work out, what other low-payment options are there? I heard about NJ Protect, but it's expensive on my part, and no way can I burden my parents with out-of-pocket payments. Thanks in advance.

Can I afford motorcycle insurance?
So here is my situation: I currently own a 2003 Toyota Matrix that I make payments on. In between the payments and the insurance and gas, it costs about $350 a month to have that car. For the last couple years I've been really interested in getting a motorcycle, specifically a newer Kawasaki. According to my research, I could find a Kawasaki Ninja 250cc for somewhere around $3000. My question is basically how much insurance do I need? Right now I have comprehensive coverage for my car so that if I'm in a wreck and it's totaled I can replace it. If I had a bike AND my car though, I don't want replacement coverage for a secondary vehicle (even one as cool as a motorcycle). I got quotes from Geico and State Farm that put my minimum amount of insurance a month in the neighborhood of around $30. Does this sound accurate to anyone? Also, can anyone just give me some sound advice about owning both vehicles and whether it's worth it?""

What to do when health insurance company won't cover surgery?
We just recently got health insurance a few weeks ago. My husband was diagnosed with a double inguinal hernia yesterday and is scheduled for surgery Friday. Our insurance company will not cover the surgery., They said that hernia surgery has a 6 month waiting period and he can not wait another week let alone 6 months. They will only cover it if it is a life or death situation.I could take him back out to the ER, but who's to say that they will say that it is an emergency and do it within 24 hours? I put a call in to the financial aid counselor to see about getting help with the surgery bill, although we are most likely going to be unable to pay big amounts of money. Is there any insurance companies we can sign up for in order to have health insurance and be able to have him get the surgery by Friday? Or is there anything else we can do? We are not eligible for MDCD, already tried that!! Please help with any suggestions.""

Young adult, no health insurance, I need help!?
Can I let somone drive my car who doesn't have insurance? [Ontario]?
So the law says you can let somone drive your car if they have a license. If they get into an accident the charges are on my insurance. Make sure that if you are loaning your car to someone else that you first verify their license or you may be without a car for 7 days while it is in impound. Ref: http://find-a-driving-school.ca/10-ontar But law also states that if you are driving you must have insurance ... right? So for example... can I let my bro drive my car even though he has his G2 and is not insured. What are the consequences? Thanks!

Why are republicans fighting the health insurance mandate and not fighting the car insurance mandate?
If you have to buy car insurance and get penalized for driving without car insurance, whats the difference here? Its as much a privilege to drive as it is to receive healthcare. However no one thinks its an over reach of government to mandate car insurance. When you get in a car accident with an uninsured driver you have to pay for your own damage, so how different is it then when americans use the public healthcare system, the government has to use TAX DOLLARS to pay for their health care. Also why is it being categorized as a Government Takeover of Healthcare ? If I buy health insurance wouldnt it be more like a Privatization of Healthcare seeing that instead of having vast amounts of tax dollars going into the system, the health system would now be funded by the insurance companies by paying out claims.""

I'm turning 16 in a few months and my parents said if i paid for the extra cost they would put me on their policy and i was wondering how much money it would be. We have Geico
Young adult, no health insurance, I need help!?

Cognishield Review: Don’t Buy Before You Read This!
What is it?
Cognishield is a nootropic supplement designed to help you unlock your brain’s true potential. This product claims to keep your brain from deteriorating as you age, as well as protects against damage cause by seizure or stroke.
Cognishield is made from a four-ingredient formula that helps the brain retain more memories and think more clearly. The makers of Cognishield mention this formula stimulates greater communication between the neurons in the brain.
Throughout our experience in looking at all kinds of brain supplements, we’ve found Memotenz to be the most effective solution for helping users stay sharp and fight against the effects aging has on the human brain. Click here to view the list of ingredients used to make Memotenz.
Do You Know the Best Brain Enhancement Supplements of 2017?
Cognishield Ingredients and Side Effects
The Cognishield website has provided a list of ingredients used to make this product, though no official label. Here’s a quick glimpse as to what you can expect to find within the formulation:
Choline Noopept Phenylpiracetam L-theanine
Choline: A substance found naturally in the body, choline works similar to the B vitamin complex, and helps form red blood cells and is key in helping neurons communicate with one another. Choline is also thought to help the brain stay sharp as we age, and is responsible for muscle movements.
This ingredient may be used to treat conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD and Alzheimer’s disease.
Choline may cause the user to have a fishy body odor, abnormal sweating, as well as nausea, vomiting and gastrointestinal distress.
Choline, in very large quantities has also been linked to the development of colon and rectal cancers, though more research needs to be done in order to determine if the risk is significant.
Noopept: A nootropic ingredient used to treat a number of neurological disorders, noopept has potential to help users who already are exhibiting signs of dementia, as well as boosting memory, cognition and focus in healthy users. Noopept is thought to help adults improve the capacity to learn more effectively as they age as well.
Though it generally has the opposite effect noopoept may cause users to experience brain fog headache or tiredness.
Phenylpiracetam: A nootropic substance that functions as a neuroprotective agent, phenylpiracetam is used to improve both physical and mental endurance, and is used to treat patients recovering from a stroke or head injury. It also has been banned by the Olympic Committee due to its use as a performance enhancing substance.
Phenylpiracetam may cause mild side effects such as nausea, irritability or insomnia.
L-Theanine: An amino acid that promotes relaxation and stress relief, along with improved focus, L-theanine is found in green tea, and offers cognitive benefits alongside its ability to regulate nitric oxide in the body

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this product with a proven brain enhancement supplement such as Memotenz for better results.
Cognishield Quality of Ingredients
In looking over the Cognishield formula, it seems this product has some clear benefits for focus and improved mental capacity. It’s made from a lineup of nootropics used to treat serious brain conditions, with the addition of L-theanine, which gently improves focus.
What we liked about this formula is, it doesn’t rely on caffeine or other stimulants to produce the results it claims. That being said, there haven’t been any clinical studies (at least anything documented) conducted on this specific formula. We also don’t know if there are any additional ingredients in the blend, as we have yet to see an official label.
There also next to no consumer reviews available for review, so we aren’t entirely sure whether this product is widely considered to be a good product or if it produces some negative side effects or doesn’t work.

The Price and Quality of Cognishield
Cognishield is not sold in very many places. The official website redirects users to a Christian supplement site called Holy Land Health. It appears that they are the ones behind the product, or if they’ve got an exclusive partnership with the people who do make this product.
Cognishield can be purchased from this website for $69 a bottle, which contains 60 capsules, which amounts to a one-month supply.
Unfortunately, Cognishield cannot be found elsewhere, and there aren’t any sites featuring this product at a lower rate. The fact that this product is not widely available may put some people off from buying from a lesser known website with such a pronounced religious slant.
Check out our experts’ favorite nootropic supplements of the year so far – more after the link.
Business of Cognishield
The company behind Cognishield is known as Holy Land Health, a company that makes “Bible Based Nutrition,” though it’s not quite clear what they mean by that. Regardless, here’s a look at their contact info, and more:
Phone: 855-875-7467
Address: 1180 N Town Center Dr.
Ste. 100 Las Vegas, NV 89144
The Cognishield website is a little hard to navigate, but they’ve gone through the trouble of listing the benefits of each of the active ingredients for consumers to learn more. Unfortunately, upon visiting this product page alone, it’s a little confusing for consumers to figure out how to place an order.
If you click order now, you are redirected to the Holy Land website, which operates normally, so most people shouldn’t have any issues getting this product.
The company itself has only been around for a year according to the Better Business Bureau website. They currently have a B rating and four registered complaints.
Aside from the BBB site, there isn’t really any information available about this company and their business practices. We do wish there was more scientific data backing the claims put forth on the website.
We did like the fact that this company seems to have quality control at the center of their organization’s Ten Commandments, which means there’s likely a number of procedures in place to ensure this product is safe and effective.
EDITOR’S TIP: For the best results, our experts recommend using brain enhancement supplements for at least 3 months. Save your money by buying a few bottles at once.
Customer Opinions of Cognishield
Unfortunately, despite a list of seemingly good ingredients and a company that at least appears to care about consumer safety, there’s almost no information available detailing just how well Cognishield works. It could be because this product might be relatively new, or because it’s only sold on this one obscure platform that targets a very, very specific audience, but there just aren’t any independent reviews from consumers who have actually tried this product.
Again, we didn’t see any major problems with the formula, and if it is in fact, accurate, Cognishield could be a really great product, just one with really subpar marketing behind it.
But, because we don’t know how this performs in the real world, or even within the confines of a clinical trial, we cannot recommend Cognishield to potential users. We don’t know how these ingredients react when combined, nor if users can expect to feel any adverse reactions with regular use.
We’ve put together a guide of the best brain enhancement products boosting memory, improving concentration and staying alert. Check it out right here.
Conclusion – Does Cognishield Work?
Again, after reviewing all the information related to Cognishield, it seems that this product does have strong potential to boost brain power and help users protect the brain against damage.
Ingredients like phenylpiracteam and choline have been linked with some positive results in helping users remarkably increase focus, as well as recover from some more serious brain injuries and conditions. Choline may be linked to a couple of different cancers, though likely this outcome is rare. Still, it’s wise to speak with a doctor before adding this into your supplement routine.
In general, this product does really look good, the fact that there aren’t any consumer reviews presents a hurdle for other consumers who want to know whether or not this product works. Because this product isn’t on Amazon or Walmart or anywhere else that gives users a platform to share their experiences, it’s hard to find any independent accounts of people who have tried this.
Holy Land Health also doesn’t have much of an online footprint, so it’s also hard to say whether or not they are a reputable supplement seller, or if there’s a reason there aren’t many mentions of them online.
User reviews are key in demonstrating whether a product works, and without any concrete evidence that it does, we recommend looking for a different product with a better track record—or at least one with documented clinic studies.
We’ve reviewed a number of supplements designed to improve overall brain function, from those with stimulant effects to those promoting a mild boost for memory and concentration.  In the end, we’ve found Memotenz works best to improve cognition, memory and more with regular use.
The company that makes Memotenz has strict quality assurance measures put into place, ensuring this product is safe, effective and delivers all the promised benefits to consumers. Learn more about wide range of benefits Memotenz can provide by clicking this link here.
