I've been doing some brainstorming since last night, because Ki'to got to the point in MSQ again where he's feeling extremely protective, and that's usually when he picks up the greatsword again.

BUT

Since I want to continue on with Viper, we've gone cross-class in canon. I joked about the name, but I could find none more fitting than to call him a Black Mamba. (Vipers' reverence for snakes and all that)

Without getting rambly about spoiler stuff, I have some surface-level ideas:

Upon the reawakening (*wink wink*) of his protectiveness - which went dormant when he finally got a fucking vacation - his Dark Knight skills show through in his rotation.

When using Reawakened skills, he no longer glows blue, but takes on the old shadow smoke that would seep through when using his darkside. And instead of having twinned blades, he takes up an aetherial greatsword alongside Esteem to slice through his foes with twin greatswords. (This is something I hope I can achieve at least vfx-wise when crimes are back)

As for flavoring he can't actually use in battle; I imagine he'd gain some mitigation skills back, especially TBN, but snake-flavored. A large, black snake coiling around those he's protecting with it.

And, of course, he'd have Esteem by his side if needed. An Esteem that, when holding twin blades, looks strangely like his brother...

I'll probably have more ideas as I progress, but it seems to me Ki'to's canon class is a mash-up now. :3c
