"Hollywood needs to fucking get real with these three hour movies."
Shut up. Just don't watch the movie in theaters. The movie going experience is still another purchase; it's entirely transactional. Meaning you have to actively make a financial decision about whether you want to invest in those 1-3 hours that you are there to be held is suspended belief or disbelief. You can opt out because this is an exchange. You literally don't have to be there. It is really not that deep. I'm begging yall to be selective about the films you watch because this is such a dumb take!
I personally go to the cinemas to escape; to sit and recline in a dark room, be forced to put aside all distractions, and place my focus on being told a story that you will get to chew on for days to come. If you know you are not a "movie person," don't sign yourself up for that commitment. Just watch it on your home device where you can pause, take breaks, do what you need to do.
This is the wackest complaint that the internet has decided to band over and dogpile on. If directors and editors know how to pace their movies right, runtime won't be a problem!
