Chilean Mine Rescue Fast Facts (CNN) —   Here’s a look at the 2010 rescue of 33 miners from a collapsed mine in the Atacama region of northern Chile. August 5, 2010 – A collapse of the main ramp into the San Jose mine leaves 33 miners trapped 2,300 feet underground. Emergency officials are unable to communicate with the trapped miners. August 6, 2010 – A statement from Chile’s National Emergency Office says 130 people are working to rescue the miners. August 7, 2010 – Rescuers face a setback when another cave in blocks the path they were using to reach the miners. Chilean President Sebastian Pinera travels to Copiapo, where the mine is located, to meet with officials. August 22, 2010 – The miners send up a note tied to a probe which was lowered by authorities earlier in the day. Written in red ink, it reads, “We are fine in the shelter, the 33 of us.” August 23, 2010 – A second probe reaches the miners. Rescuers are now capable of relaying communications and can send food and water to miners. Before this, the miners survive by sharing small amounts of tuna and mackerel that were in the shelter, along with water. August 24, 2010 – Experts from NASA and Chilean navy submarine experts are called to help address the psychological toll the isolation can take on the miners. August 26, 2010 – Miners send a video message to their families expressing thanks for the efforts underway to free them. August 27, 2010 – Miners are told for the first time of the lengthy process rescuers expect it will take to extract them from the mine. Officials announce that they are working on a “Plan B,” which could help speed up the rescue process. That distance, engineers estimated, was around 2,034 feet (620 meters). The drill used in Plan C needed to cut through some 1,969 feet (600 meters) of rock and earth. Plan A drill was a Raise Borer Strata 950, usually used for drilling ventilation shafts in mines. Plan B drill was a Schramm T-130, usually used for boring water holes. La pelota cuadrada de Floridor Pérez

                     A Ivan Monsalves, Cristóbal Gaete, Andrés Urzúa y Jano Opazo.

Jorge Valdano, ​el futbolista que jugó en esa mítica selección Argentina que ganó el Mundial de México 86 junto a Diego Armando Maradona, Jorge Alberto Francisco Valdano Castellanos,  el director general deportivo del Real Madrid, realizó un comentario crítico del  libro Poesía chilena del deporte y los juegos de nuestro gran entrenador nacional: Floridor Pérez.

Todo esto lo supe en la primera travesía literaria isleña de Poesía a Cielo Abierto, el año 2013, aquí, en Puerto Montt. El mismo Floridor me lo contó y como para no dejar lugar a las dudas, me entregó una fotocopia de esa carta, con el membrete del Real Madrid.

Esa copia la guardé en una carpeta divertida, que se mantuvo extraviada entremedio de libros y otras carpetas hasta hoy, cuando revisando papeles intrascendentales, buscando con urgencia otra cosa, me encontré con este asunto que ya creía perdido.  

¿Y qué es lo que dice Jorge Valdano sobre el libro de Floridor Pérez? Dice: “El deporte y los jugos, la disciplina y la libertad. Dos modos de recrear la vida. Y aquí viene la poesía con la intención de redundar en el juego de la vida”.  Y más adelante lanza este tiro al arco: “Este libro es una pelota cuadrada, una singular posibilidad del disfrute, un bello homenaje que la mente le hace al cuerpo, un acto de justicia a las pasiones populares.”

Entonces digamos que la poesía circula como un balón misterioso. Digamos que algunos libros se leen y viajan por el mundo como seleccionados nacionales. Digamos que la poesía siempre nos seguirá sorprendiendo con este tipo de jugadas maestras.

Inanews - Film Kesempatan Keduda menjadi karya kelima rumah produksi RA Pictures yang siap tayang 11 Oktober 2018 besok. Dalam kesempatan kali ini, produser sekaligus pemain dalam Kesempatan Keduda,Raffi Ahmad mengajak serta aktor tampan asal Malaysia, Zizan Razak, untuk menjadi lawan mainnya dalam film tersebut. Memilih Zizan bermain dalam film arahan sutradara Awi Suryadi, nampaknya menjadi salah satu cara suami Nagita Slavina ini menunjukkan kualitas rumah produksi yang ia kelola.

Dirinyapun seolah ingin memberikan sentuhan warna yang berbeda dalam film bergenre drama komedi romantis berdurai 95 menit ini. "Dia ini adalah salah satu aktor box office Malaysia yang banyak dapat penghargaan. Kemarin bahkan dia dapat penghargaan sebagai aktor komedi terfavorit Malaysia," ungkap Raffi Ahmad dalam konfrensi pers film Kesempatan Keduda, di kawasan Epicentrum, Kuningan, Jakarta Selatan, Senin (8/10/2018). "Saya berpikir beberapa kali film banyak komika, pakai stand up comedy. Jadi mau sama kawan dari Malaysia biar memberikan warna berbeda dari kawan saya ini," sambungnya. Lebih jelasnya suami Nagita Slavina ini menjelaskan bahwa awalnya ia menunjuk Tora Sudiri dan Ivan Gunawan untuk menjadi pemain dalam filmnya.

Sayang, RA Pictures tak berjodoh dengan jadwal syuting keduanya, dan membuat Raffi Ahmad mau tak mau kembali bermain dalam film yang ia produseri. Iván Gaete kicked off our November AIR series by making a new work from his "synergic" series. Untitled (Ace) is a 14″ x 17″ mixed media work (thread on paper) which we found hanging on the wall, complete with helpful arrow. Iván also produced seven drawings under the title Untitled (fathomable mazes, Nov 2015 series) - each clock in at 5 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ and are made of “sharpie on moleskine”. Lastly, he documented the stay with some photos and a custom URL.

Gaete is a self-taught visual artist based in New York. His drawings, paper constructions, photographs, videos and installations are multi-layered surveys of how systems of knowledge are formed. Through labor-intensive processes, geometry, randomness and repetition, he explores the physical and formal qualities of paper, ink and thread. He intersects architectural and sewing practices using ambiguity as a tool to deconstruct the relationship between abstraction, form and content.

This November, Ace AIR is curated by Residencies Unlimited, an artist-centered, non-profit arts organization based in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Residency Unlimited supports the creation, presentation and dissemination of contemporary art, by fostering customized residencies for local, national and international artists and curators at all stages of their career. Collaboration and partnerships are at the heart of RU’s mission as they strive to respond to changes in the overall field, and particularly in artists’ practices.
