Ivan: Kazimir. You know dhat is not what I meant.
Jim: You’re duMBER—
Ivan: Dzjim.
Vasily, still enjoying the scene from afar: Dumbness is not a competition, but you’re still both winning it.
They would continue to bicker like that for a long time before Jim eventually bothers him too much and gets kicked dkdbdkbdd

One Shot - Leo Demidov - The Cabin Part I of III
“I told you to stay in your fucking seat! Now we are trudging through fucking snow at eleven o’clock at night!” Leo shouted.
“Oh, you stubborn idiot! If I hadn’t left my seat you would be dead!” Veronika shouted back at him.
The unhappy pair pushed through knee deep snow toward the forest line in search of cover. Just three days ago, Leo had been assigned by his superior officer to Veronika Semenov, the daughter of a leading scientist who had gone missing. He was to escort her from her city Myshkin to Moscow and uncover any leads that may help the state recover Dr. Semenov.
Upon meeting Veronika, Leo had found her very attractive. She had blonde hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. But after thirty minutes of speaking with her, he found her to be stubborn, opinionated and overly confident. What he didn’t know is that she thought the same of him.
They had spent two days trying to retrace her father’s footsteps. Each time he deduced a theory, Veronika would debunk it, pointing out a clue he had overlooked. It greatly annoyed him. On the third day they booked tickets on the train back to Moscow. It was a late train and when they found their seats, Leo rested his head on the back of his seat and closed his eyes.
Veronika pulled out a book from her satchel and began to read. A few minutes later a man came up to them.
“Agent Demidov?” The man asked.
Leo opened his eyes and looked the man up and down.
“Who wants to know?”
“I’m Ivan Volkov, I am one of the conductors on this train. We are having some issues with another passenger, and I was told you were MGB?”
Leo nodded and stood up to follow the conductor.
“Stay in your seat,” Leo instructed her.
She rolled her eyes at his request and he gave her an annoyed look before turning away. Watching him leave, Veronika began to wonder why one of the conductors would be out of his station. Weren’t there just one for tonight’s shift? She decided to follow the two men.
The supposed conductor led Leo through two cars before they ended at the caboose. Leo entered first and saw that it was empty. He immediately turned to face the other man and was decked in the face. His opponent pulled a gun when Leo heard Veronika shout.
“Hey!”
Veronika brought her satchel flying over her shoulder attempting to knock the man across the chest with it. But the man moved back just in time and she missed. The man lunged at Veronika. Grabbing her by the shoulders he edged her into the connector between the caboose and the next train car. The train was beginning to slow down as it approached a change in tracks.
Veronika hesitated then opened the side door within the connector. The cold wind rushed in with a flurry of snow. Leo came up behind the man and grabbed his shirt collar, forcing him toward the now open door. The men struggled and Leo succeeded in tossing the man out of the door but the man grabbed Leo by the waist as he stumbled out. Both men had now departed the train.
“Are you kidding me?!” Veronika shouted out after them.
She made a split decision and jumped off the train, landing in a snowbank several yards away from the two men. She saw them struggling with each other and Leo knocked the gun out of the other man’s hands. Leo rolled over to pick it up and once in his hands he fired the weapon. The bullet went through the man’s heart, killing him instantly. The man dropped face first to the ground, the red of his blood coloring the white snow around him..
“Why did you kill him! How are we supposed to know why he was following us?” Veronika said as she pushed through the snow toward Leo.
He glared at her as he stuffed the gun into his belt. “Damn it Veronika, if there was another way I would have taken it!”
Now they were trudging to the forest line late in the night. Breaking through into the heavy, snow covered trees they moved inward, guided by the light of the moon. The wind howled through the trees and bit into their flesh. Their coats and luggage had been on the train, they had little protection against the elements.
“Look, up there,” Leo pointed.
There was an abandoned cabin that appeared to still be in good condition. Leo approached the door and tried the knob. It was locked. He walked back from it and then kicked it in with his heavy boot. They eagerly entered the cabin to get out from the cold and wind. Inside, the cabin was cleared out of most of its furnishings. What remained was a table and a mattress that was leaning up against the wall. Leo knelt in front of the fireplace.
“Look for matches or flint,” he told her.
She crouched down on the wooden floor and opened her satchel. “Here,” she said as she handed a box of matches to him. He went over to the table and began breaking it down into pieces. Once he was done he stacked the wood into the hearth.
“I need some tinder,” he said looking around the room then spotting her book in the satchel. He reached for it but her hand shot out to grasp his.
“What are you doing?” she asked, horrified.
“Do you want to freeze to death?”
She paused, then relented, releasing his hand. He took the book and ripped the pages from it and bundled them up to stash them around the wood pile. Then he struck a match to catch the pages on fire. It took a little time, but the fire began to grow. Slowly some warmth began filling the room.
Outside, the wind began to pick up and howled angrily against the cabin. Veronika noticed a cabinet in the corner and she went over to it. She pulled upon the drawers and found an old quilt that was still in good shape.
Leo had pulled the mattress off the wall and placed it in front of the fire. He sat down on it and fed the fire another piece of wood. She sat about a foot from him.
“I found a blanket,” she said.
He grunted and took it from her, unwrapping it. He draped one end over her shoulders, the other end over his own. There was a long moment of silence between each other before Leo spoke.
“The wood won’t last long, we’ll burn through this in a few hours. We will need to….uh, exchange body heat to stay warm.”
As he said this he closed the gap between them and his body was now besides hers. Her instinct was sudden, she turned and slapped him across the face. She then stood up, the blanket falling from her.
“Ow!” He said in shock.
“Exchange body heat? You mean have sex?”
He rubbed the side of his face. “No, but we need to keep each other warm. We can just hold each other to amplify the heat, keeping our core body temperature stable until morning.”
“Oh,” she said before returning to his side.
She sat next to him but did not touch him further. He reached around her to take the blanket and wrap them up in it. His arm then wrapped around her waist, pulling her close to him. Her heart began to beat faster. His body was firm and his grip was strong. He kept his gaze on the fire and she looked at him from her peripheral.
He was very handsome, but she had chosen to ignore that aspect of him. She simply found him to be an irksome, brute of a man. Always giving her orders and having unreasonable expectations. Now, it was an aspect that she could no longer ignore.
“What?” He asked and turned to look her in the eyes.
She had been staring at him fully and he noticed her gaze on him.
Turning her head abruptly she said, “Nothing,”
“Are you warm now?” He asked, his voice soft and caring.
That caught her off guard. Leo had been distant, arrogant and direct in his speech with her since she had met him. She didn’t think he could sound so compassionate.
“I’m better, my feet are still cold,” she said.
“Here,” he said, learning forward and undoing her shoe laces. He slipped her shoes off her feet. “You should take off your pantyhose, they’re wet. And have them dry by the fire.”
She blushed at him saying pantyhose. It unexpectedly sounded very sexy coming from his lips. Standing up she walked over to the corner of the room. Looking back, Leo turned his head the other way from her direction. She hiked up her skirt and pulled the hose down to slip them off.
Laying the hose in front of the fire, she returned to her seat next to Leo. He replaced his arm around her waist. Biting her lower lip she hesitantly laced her arm behind his back and rested her head on his shoulder. The warmth from the fire and his body finally sunk into her bones and she had stopped shivering.
“Tomorrow, we’ll need to follow the tracks. We should find an outpost and we can get another train to Moscow.”
His voice was deep and gravely. It gave her comfort to hear him speak. She couldn’t understand why she hadn’t noticed that before. But again, he was acting differently. He was now acting in an unofficial capacity and it was very attractive.
“What will I do in Moscow?” she suddenly asked.
“You have been given papers that allow you to work for the state as a secretary, I told you this.”
His tone had drifted back to an official and she frowned, bringing her head up to look directly at him.
“Do you ever just switch off?”
“What?”
“I mean, I was really starting to like this kind and gentle Leo. But you just can’t help yourself can you? Always so MGB, always ensuring you fulfill your duties…”
She was cut off when he leaned forward and kissed her. Feeling his lips upon hers sent a wave of shock throughout her body. When he pulled away she slapped him again, but not as hard as last time.
He grabbed her hand and held it firmly. His thumb centered at her wrist circled gently around her lower palm.
“You really like slapping me, don't you?,” He asked.
“Only when you deserve it. You...you can’t just kiss me, it won’t distract me from the fact that you are a brute.”
“I’m a brute?” he asked, amused.
From the kiss to the way he was looking at her, the rush of adrenaline was rising to her cheeks. And she wanted him to kiss her again, now that she was prepared for it. But he released her hand and returned his gaze to the fire when she didn’t reply to him.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
He gave her a sideways glance. “You obviously are repulsed by me, you know, since I’m a brute.”
“I never said you repulsed me!”
They once again sat in silence. The only sound in the room was the crackling of the wood. Leo carefully placed another piece of the table on the fire. There were only a few pieces left now.
Veronika fidgeted. The closeness of his body, the feeling of his kiss, were all getting her hot and bothered. She wanted to maintain her dignity, but also badly wanted to submit to his advances.
“So, that kiss...can...can we, um…” she said
“Hmmm, can we what?” He asked with mock innocence.
“Oh, you are such a…” She began with annoyance.
Once more he leaned forward to cover her mouth with his own. This time she closed her eyes and allowed him to find his way through her lips. His wet, warm tongue entered her mouth and she greedily accepted.
He broke the kiss all too soon and she was surprised by the whine of impatience that escaped her lips. That gave him satisfaction, knowing he had control over her now. Taking her by the hand he maneuvered her lie in the center of the mattress. He then began taking his shirt off.
She leaned up on her elbows, “And just what makes you think I am going to allow you to fuck me?”
Placing his shirt off to the side he centered himself at her feet, then took her by her ankles and pulled her forward to him. He then moved her dress up and over her hips. He settled between her legs, pressing his fully erect penis firmly upon her womanhood. His lips brushing the nape of her neck.
“Am I allowed now?” he whispered into her ear.
A pleasurable chill passed through her. She felt it in her nipples and vagina. All joking aside now, she wanted him. And she could only gasp, “Yes.”
Leo let out a throaty growl and unbuttoned her blouse. He helped her out of it, then he eagerly unhinged her bra. Her bare flesh now open to the room he saw gooseflesh creep over her skin. He quickly removed her skirt and then pulled the quilt over them both. He resumed his place between her legs.
“Let me get you warmed up,” he said, and took a nipple into his mouth.
Her hands shot up and slid through his hair, whimpering from the intense sensation of pleasure. His fingers danced over her other nipple and she laid back on the mattress again, arching her back.
Satisfied with the taste of her flesh, Leo pulled off her panties. He took his hardened cock and dragged it from the top of her slit, lightly touching her clit, to her opening. Allowing the wetness that her sweet little pussy had created, guide him. He hovered over her opening.
“Do you want to change your mind? Maybe slap me again?” He growled, he allowed only his cock’s head to gain slight entrance into her vagina.
Veronika had a flash of anger spike through her but it was dulled by the intense lust she was experiencing. The anticipation of his cock’s fullness filling her empty space was driving her mad.
“Please, Leo. Don’t...don’t…” she babbled. She wanted to tell him “don’t pull away.”
“Don’t?” he said, then he did pull his cock completely away from her entrance. She was surprised that her vagina fluttered and contracted from this abandonment, giving her clitoris a jolt of pure ecstasy.
This man’s willpower was beyond her. A little fear entered her heart. Maybe she just wasn’t enticing him. Before that thought could consume her, he was upon her again, this time he began to fully enter her. The thickness of his girth slowly penetrated her tight walls, he glided through her with ease as she was dripping wet from his teasing earlier.
She slid her nails down his muscular back before grabbing onto his taut buttocks. Holding him tightly as he thrusted in and out of her. He stared down at her, his blue eyes intense with lust. His stare was so intense that she looked away. She felt a little shame from just giving into him, but somehow that feeling made this act so much more naughty and sexy.
He brought his hand up and turned her face back to his. He trailed his thumb over her lips, then kissed her deeply. Her core contracted again and she could see that it was beginning to affect him. His eyes went slightly back into his head and he closed them. A frown broke out over his face as he tried to focus his concentration.
His thrusts began to falter at first, before he seemed to gain control over himself again. To her surprise he pulled out of her and with ease, he took her by the hips and flipped her over onto her stomach. Just as quickly he grabbed her hips again and reentered. His thrusts now more forceful, he was pounding her little cunt with new vigor.
She had never experienced an orgasm without clitorial stimulation, but without warning that build up of tension on the summit of her clit exploded into a delicious sinful sensation. She moaned his name into the mattress as her cream coated his manhood. Leo sped up before he too reached his end. His cum erupted from his tip, filling her with his hot, potent sperm.
She lay on the mattress in an exhausted state and stared into the fire. Leo had gotten up to add the last piece to the flames. Then he returned to her and pulled her into his arms, wrapping the quilt about them.

I got soul, but I'm not a soldier
March 17th, 2006, Sayan Mountains, Siberia, Russia
Forsaken would be on cryo for a few months, Doctor Semenov would wake her up, sent her on a mission, and then he would wipe her memory and put her on cryogenic sleep for a few months. He could not risk having her remember details about her past This routine had become Forsaken’s norm, but this mission was different. Unlike her usual solitary assignments, this time she wouldn’t be alone.
“Forsaken, you are headead to Ukraine on a mission with the Winter Soldier,” Doctor Semenov informed as he prepped her to go. “You will neutralize two targets, Fedir Melnyk and Ivan Bondarenko. Before that, surveil them for a few days and report back to us everything they do. Orders to eliminate them will come when necessary. Understood, soldier?”
“Understood,” she affirmed, rising from her chair.
“The Winter Soldier is outside waiting for you. Do not disappoint us, Forsaken.”
“I won’t, sir.”
Tumblr media
March 17th, 2006, Zalishchyky, Ukraine
The journey to Ukraine was uneventful. Forsaken and the Winter Soldier remained silent until they reached Zalishchyky, a small town in western Ukraine.
“We’re here” the male spoke in a low tone.
Hydra had arranged a small two-bedroom house for them, just across the street from their target’s house. It was stocked with everything needed for the mission – weapons, food, clothes, and medical supplies.
For the next two days, they silently watched their targets, alternating shifts only for essentials like eating, bathroom breaks, or sleep for just an hour. Forsaken would occasionally hear the Winter Soldier’s voice when he called their Hydra superiors, reporting on what their targets were doing.
“Do you ever get memories of your past life?” the male soldier suddenly asked as they observed Fedir Melnyk entering his house, catching her off guard.
"What do you mean by 'past life,' soldier?" she replied, focusing on Melnyk.
The Winter Soldier sighed, “I mean, before joining Hydra. Who you were before becoming a soldier.”
“I was always Forsaken; I never had a past life,” she asserted, noting Melnyk's arrival time on paper.
“You never remember someone who you don’t know who they are, but know they were important before?” he questioned, locking eyes with her.
Forsaken took a few minutes to answer his question. Though she believed she was always Forsaken, she tried to recall someone familiar, someone who felt like home. Suddenly, she remembered the details of her first mission, which were supposed to be erased from her mind. She remembered living in an orphanage. She remembered killing someone who took care of her in that orphanage, but she didn’t remember their name.
“I-I-I remember…” she turned to the men who was sitting a few inches next to her, “I remember living in an orphanage. I remember being in an orphanage. A man from the base instructed me to kill someone there...  I-I remember how they took care of me while I lived there… I-I remember, soldier…” her voice was small, even trembling a bit. She tried to remember more, but she couldn’t.
“I remember something too…” he said, “I had a friend before all this. We were close, but I can’t remember more. Do you think they're hiding more from us?”
Before Forsaken could answer, the phone rang. “It’s time,” he said after answering. “We need to go, grab your weapons. It’s time to eliminate them.”
They both went to the house where Fedir Melnyk and Ivan Bondarenko lived, quietly entering through the back door. Unfortunately, it looked like Melnyk and Bondarenko were already expecting them, each with a gun pointed at their chests. They were about to shoot, but the Hydra soldiers were quicker than them, and they disarmed them. But their targets would not give up. The Winter Soldier was fighting with Bondarenko, while Forsaken faced Melnyk. The woman was about to knock her opponent out when he drew a knife and stabbed her on the left side of her hip. Groaning in pain, she got the knife out of her and threw it right at Melnyk’s head, killing him instantly. A gunshot echoed; the Winter Soldier had eliminated Bondarenko.
“We have to go back to the safe house” the male soldier picked her up by her legs and took her to the house where they were before. Once inside, he settled her at the dining table. “Stay put; I'll get the supplies.”
Forsaken did as her partner said and stayed still, waiting for him. The stab wound hurt a bit, but she had been hurt a lot worse, so it didn’t matter a lot to her.
He came back with alcohol, thread and a needle, and some gauze. “Stay still” he poured the alcohol on top of the wound, making her wince a bit. “I’m gonna stich you up now, okay?”, she nodded and he started to stitch her wound. After he was done, he put the gauze on top of it. “There, it should be fine for now, but ask Semenov to give that a look when we arrive at the base.”
They left Ukraine just an hour later after eliminating their targets. At the Hydra base, they were segregated into their rooms. Doctor Semenov inspected Forsaken's wound, deeming it well enough to heal in a few days.
“We will just wait for your wound to heal, and then we will put you back on cryo, soldier,” he informed before leaving her room. It didn’t concern her; she'd grown used to the routine and felt powerless to change it.
It was now time to sleep, but she couldn’t. She kept thinking about what the Winter Soldier had told her and about the orphanage. She pondered the Winter Soldier's words and her memories of the orphanage. Getting up, she splashed water on her face in the bathroom.
“Are you okay?” the Winter Soldier had entered the bathroom as soon as she splashed the water in her face.
“Yes,” she replied curtly, reluctant to expose vulnerability. “I'm heading back to my room.”
He swiftly grabbed her wrist. “Wait,” he implored. “Things will improve someday. We'll escape together; just hold on for a bit longer.”
“Listen here soldier, I don’t want to escape and I don’t care about your feelings. I like living here and there’s no way I’m leaving, only dead.”
She stormed out of the bathroom and went back to bed, but she still couldn’t sleep. Was Hydra bad after all?
Tumblr media
December 1st, 2009, Sayan Mountains, Siberia, Russia
Following her recovery, Forsaken and the Winter Soldier were returned to cryo. She was only woken up a couple times after that to go on missions. Hydra had wiped her memory again, so she didn’t remember anything the Winter Soldier had said to her before. They went on a couple of missions together, but he didn’t talk to her about their past lives again. His memory was wiped as well. They were back to square one.

Rimac Campus, Sveta Nedelja Croatia
Rimac Campus, Sveta Nedelja, Croatia, Croatian Commercial Architecture, Building Development
Rimac Campus in Sveta Nedelja
19 Apr 2021
Rimac Campus
Design: 3LHD architects
Location: Sveta Nedelja, Zagreb County, Croatia
The Rimac Campus is located 16 km from the centre of Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city. It sits in a unique position as it is surrounded by a natural landscape yet still well connected to the highway and airport.
The most prominent building on the north side is Erdody Castle which is perched above the site. The relation to the castle and topography determined the position of future buildings and outdoor spaces. The two new above-ground volumes, fluid in shape, follow the natural topography and house the production facility and the office building (R&D). The third connecting volume is hidden in the landscape and houses a restaurant, kindergarten and utility spaces. Covered with a green roof, it blurs the boundary between the built form and the natural landscape. All buildings of the campus are designed as pavilions, accessible from all sides.
The campus can be accessed from two directions – east and west, giving quick access to logistics teams and employees, while guests are directed towards the main square through carefully designed urban spaces.
The main square of the campus is a place where everyone is welcome, and an access point for all other facilities on campus. It features great views of the Erdody Castle and an urban wetland, a new habitat for a multitude of species that will foster biodiversity on site. The restaurant, located in the center of the square, gathers employees, clients and visitors around the “same table”, encouraging them to socialize within a family atmosphere. It has views of the square, castle to the north and the sheep meadow in the south allowing employees and visitors to work and stay in a unique and inspiring setting. The restaurant also serves as a link between the production facility and the office building, further emphasizing the accessible and fluid character of the campus.
The production facility, the largest volume on the campus, is designed to be as efficient and as adaptable as possible. It enables cutting-edge technology and hypercar production as well as the flexibility for future development and growth of the company.
The museum is linked with the main square, production facility and the restaurant. It is designed as a two-storey volume. As the museum space sits on a slope, a ramp links the different spaces of the exhibition. The ramp navigates visitors through the exhibition. Every curve on the ramp will lead visitors to new insights and discoveries.
The office building is organized around two closed multi-storey atriums. One features an auditorium – a space for lectures, projections and social events, and the other one is a green oasis primarily intended for independent work and employee relaxation. Atriums are an essential design element, as they provide bilateral workspace lighting. Deep overhangs on the facade bring a lot of daylight into the space without direct exposure to the sun. Flexible workspaces allow users to personalize their own space and create preferred working environments.
The kindergarten building is located on a quieter part of campus, away from noise and traffic. The southern orientation and a multitude of open and semi-open zones make it an ideal environment for play and learning. Children come into contact with the animals present on the campus, and develop motor and social skills through outdoor activities such as gardening and animal care.
Contact with nature is also made through a dormitory consisting of cabins scattered in the forest. These are temporary residence spaces for employees that still allow them privacy in a picturesque setting. Sports, recreational facilities, and common areas for socializing and team building are located nearby.
The entire campus is surrounded by forest and agricultural land. Plant species intended for planting are primarily indigenous with minimal maintenance requirements and fully adapted to the climatic conditions of the site. Vegetation within the campus also has a functional role: it provides edible fruits, contributes to the ecological features of the space, provides shade, serves as a safety barrier for passage to the roofs and is a noise reduction element.
All campus facilities are connected by a series of pedestrian paths that will allow free circulation for all users on the site. After working hours, the internal road will serve as a testing track for Rimac Automobili. Corners of the road are inspired by the world’s famous race tracks.
The sustainability concept for the campus combines modern technology and natural energy resources – harnessing energy from renewable resources (photovoltaics on the roof of the production facility) and a geothermal heat pump system (that will use the underground water for heating and cooling and play a significant role in the reduction of CO2 emissions).
By intertwining nature with modern technology, the new and the old – the campus represents harmony and balance.
The project is being developed with the help of VOLUM3 – a collaborative platform 3LHD helped develop in the past few years. VOLUM3 is based on real needs of an architectural office. It was created in response to communication problems that arise during design and construction. It is intended for architects, construction engineers and other stakeholders in construction projects. It makes project management fast and easy – deadlines, tasks and responsibilities of individual project collaborators are clearly managed. All project info is stored in a cloud-based platform, safe and always available. VOLUM3 modules are digital versions of real-life workflows – everything is project related. It does not change the users’ workflow: https://volum3.com/en/
