the best part about me being in the rainworld fandom is seeing how obvious my influence is. already im seeing fanart where rivulet is speaking to a confused/tired spearmaster in wawawawa's thanks to the comic i made. and don't get me started on the tumblr bald saint incident (i wasnt the originator of the meme but i did help it spread lol)

theres also the arti fuse tails, artihunter's rise in popularity, anthro scugs... its satisfying to see the hardwork and love i pour onto my rain world stuff actually pay off in the end and more clearly to me as well, even without saying it outright.

its heartwarming!

ive always had a deep fear of widely disappointing people or getting cancelled. i initially started my rain world fanart stride as a personal coping mechanism, and now i genuinely and throughout love making fanart for the game in general. its nice to have this side of me explored

im not trying to be proudy and ofc i am not the sole inspiration as a whole (there are other artists with other and better extravagant ideas that they share to me and others), but i am proud of the fact that im seeing artists open up themselves in this lovely community.

its just... so rare to see this for me personally. its not often id really go out on a fandom and actually enjoy it throughout. and the funniest part is- i dont even play the game! i keep telling people this- that i dont deserve to be considered a "big kahuna", but they dont mind

precious moments like these is why im so hyperfixated on it- to have my wacky shit ideas be accepted and circulated, and to see people openly appreciate for what i do and i get the motivation to appreciate them back. cookie run had this ofc, but not by this mile of influence.

rainworld already has its established filter of being a hard game to get into, so the fandom is kinda small. but its just small enough to be a tight knit community. its juuuuuuust right for me. cookie run has already entered mainstream and there's nothing i can do about it.

its inevitable that... i might forget these good feelings- these memories, like i always do. and certainly the people around me will change and move on, but i want to cherish every second of it. im giving the fandom my all.

"What do you mean, 'it was an accident'?"

"I mean," Vampire stressed, hovering over Herb's shoulder, "it was an accident."

Herb set down the flower pot he was carrying with a heavy thunk, wiping his hands on his apron and turning to face Vampire with narrowed eyes and a disappointed frown. To Vampire's credit, he did look rather guilty, pulling the flared collar of his cape further up his neck in a self conscious gesture.

Herb turned to face Sparkling and Mint Choco, who both visibly recoiled at the look on his face. "And you two. You just went along with it?"

Sparkling and Mint Choco exchanged a quick glance, no doubt trying to figure out the best way out of this without getting into too much trouble.

"Well, we were all rather inebriated," Sparkling said, awkward and careful. "We weren't thinking very clearly."

"Hey, the amount of drunk that I was has no correlation to the bad decisions I made," Vampire spoke up, still looking rather guilty, but firm in his words despite what they implied. "Cookiesnap getting out was an accident. It was my fault, but never let it be said I can't handle my alcohol. I don't need to be drunk to-"

"We know that, Vampire," Mint Choco interrupted somewhat frantically, "we're saying that we only went along with your idea without a second thought because we were drunk."

"What were you even trying to do?" Herb said, exasperated.

Now Sparkling, Mint Choco, and Vampire were all exchanging a look. Herb crossed his arms, raising a brow at the three of them and waiting for an answer.

"I suppose we should probably just tell you," Mint Choco sighed, and Vampire gave a resigned little nod.

Herb stared at them, bewildered. "What?"

"Well, when you went to bed early last night, we were drinking together," Mint Choco recalled, "and Vampire remembered that your birthday was coming up. He wanted to get you flowers, and… well, it was an accident."

"You," Herb said, slow and careful, "wanted to get me flowers for my birthday that's coming up… next month?"

"You must remember, none of us were really in our right minds," Sparkling said in defense, and Herb gave a laugh.

"You wanted to get me flowers for my birthday next month, from my own flower shop, in the middle of the night?"

There was a silent pause, in which the other three cookies in the room processed the statement and the question that went along with it. Eventually, Sparkling gave a sigh, crossing his arms and looking resigned to his fate.

"Yes."

Herb leaned back against the counter, shoulders shaking with laughter. "By the Tree, I love you guys."

Once the gardener's bout of laughter had adequately subsided, he wiped at his eyes and attempted to fix his three partners with a stern stare. It wasn't really working very well, the remaining mirth on his face quirking the corners of his mouth up.

"You three are lucky Wizard, Beet, and Carrot were able to subdue Cookiesnap before anyone got hurt," Herb lectured them gently, turning to lift the flower pot he'd been carrying. "I'm sure this won't happen again, but Vampire, Sparkling, Mint Choco, if Cookiesnap gets out and it's your fault, I will strong-arm the one responsible into helping me feed it."

The thought of having to deal with the cookievorous plant was enough to get the three of them nodding, each with varying levels of frantic to solemn acceptance. Herb set the pot on the floor in the backroom, returning to the front of his store where his three partners waited for him. He made his way over to Vampire, resting a hand on his shoulder and leaning up to kiss the other cookie on the cheek.

"Thank you for thinking of me," Herb murmured softly, and he was treated to the sight of a shy red flush spreading across Vampire's face. "Now come on you three, we've been planning today for a while, and lunch isn't going to order itself. Our schedules are always so busy, so lets make the most of this free day."

Grabbing Sparkling's hand in his own, Herb led the way out of his shop, Mint Choco and Vampire following in his stead.

im the anon who asked for obscure artoria ships - tysm for answering! i knew you liked kojiro/artoria from early tpof, but ozymandias/artoria was unexpected! ozytoria sounds interesting from the way you describe it - ive always sort of seen it as an almost-giltoria dynamic minus the hostility and antagonism. i think that modern au idea sounds incredibly sweet 😭 honestly i like the idea of them but there is virtually no fancontent OR canon content of them (besides that one lartoria comment in ozy's interlude?) so its a half-built ship for me as of now. and yes, please talk about kojiro/artoria for the ship game! i'd love to see more of your thoughts on them. on nobu/artoria - YES nobu is incredibly beautiful its crazyyy. i got into shipping them because of mastoria/nobu in koha-ace, interactions in fgo and a user's thoughts on them here on tumblr (you can find them if you search up nobutoria).

Kojirou Sasaki X Arturia Pendragon - SHIP IT

What made you ship it?

This is gonna sound strange, but do hear me out.

My love for this ship evolved from the first time it caught my attention, but to be completely honest it all started with another ship: Diarturia.

After re-watching and re-reading FZ, FSN, and UBW, something kept coming up for me. We all know FZ is an incredible prequel sequel, created with stunning precision to fit the already existing narrative, which is why, even when consuming the series as a whole based on the timeline of events, Arturia's character still makes sense.

Their expert craftmanship made the fact that the 5th HGW is Saber's second attempt a lot clearer. Why? because it brings to the table a theme that was already there and yet not too fleshed out:

Deja vu. Or, in Saber's case, a double deja vu.

For example, this line:

Before Zero, it only means 'oh cool so she's fought spearmen before.' but after Zero, you finally know exactly who she's talking about.

But why do I say it's a double deja vu for her?

Let's begin with the obvious one. The parallels between Cú and Diarmuid are pretty clear. Like you just know Zero Lancer's character was patterned after the existing Lancer, but given another purpose. There are gifsets all over Tumblr that illustrate their similarity too.

BUT Cú and Arturia (ooh it kills me to say this) only just fall short of the borderline flirtatious "I wanna have a glorious fight to the death with you because you're worthy" energy. Furthermore, they meet only briefly.

So where did they get that?

No, but seriously. I don't think this is a coincidence. Diarmuid must have been some sort of amalgamation of Kojirou and Cú, the best of both. And that is also why the previous deja vu point hits harder.

Honestly, when that realization came, I was totally not expecting it. I was supposed to be looking for Diarturia crumbs and instead I found myself another whole-ass cookie. And one that unjustly has barely anything in the fandom, even if we have more straightforward lines like this:

What are your favorite things about the ship?

So, now that you know how I got into shipping this, unorthodox as it seems, I think it's time to move past the parallels and into more solid ground.

Unlike other relationships that are more ambiguous and rely on potential, Kojirou's attraction to her is so in your face, it's refreshing.

Their banter is *chef's kiss*

It's only overshadowed because he so quickly became a gag servant, and ofc because the focus of the anime was Shirou. (Why did they do him like that though, he's actually so cool??? I mean, did Saber truly even beat him?? like???)

Saber comments on his skill with the sword, going so far as to say he outclasses him in swordsmanship. bruh, you can't take that lightly

They both see each other as worthy opponents. She literally tells him he's worthy of her full attention.

Kojirou sees her as the fulfillment of his wish, and Saber bloody actually gets to grant him the fight of his 'life' (FSN and UBW, not HF ;n;) when she couldn't do the same for a certain former rival. She even promises their fight's resolution because it is so important to her to see it through (UBW).

Kojirou really wants that fight, and fairly, without interruption. Which is why in FSN he goes as far as to stop the fight before Rider can spy on Saber's sword. And then later on, literally tells Shirou and Rin he doesn't give a shit about them, he just wants to fight Saber.

When he calls her out on holding back, especially since they're both running out of time, she apologizes and reveals Excalibur so they can fully face each other at full strength. UGH THE CHEMISTRY HGNGNGNGNGN. Also, since he knows this is their last fight, he's giving off "look at me, focus on me, don't think about anything else" vibes.

Also, man, Kojirou Sasaki really be out here serving up blatant eye smex every time they share the screen I swear to god.

Like let me give you a line from UBW 23, 19:08, right after Assassin notices she's damaged his katana

Arturia: Our positions...Assassin...are you... (that's what the subs say but Saber says "kisama" so I read it as "you bastard")

Kojirou, smirking: Is it wise to pull your blows? In this position, I could send you flying.

*Kojirou steps forward pressuring their locked swords and causing her to shuffle back a bit*

Arturia: Is that why you deliberately entered my range?

Is there an unpopular opinion you have about your ship?

It's...baffling how unknown this ship is like...look at all that material. I mean of course it's going to be trounced in popularity by Shirou x Saber, GilArt, and Diarturia , but it should at least have accumulated enough of a following like Cuturia, for example.

I’ve been fan since their debut! I can’t say I was as active and interested as I am now but I’ve always followed them. I found out about them on youtube while listening to some shinee songs and well I’m still here and proud of their achievements throughout the years despite all the difficulties they went through! But I get what you mean, it’s rather hard to find old fans from the debut nowadays!

Well, since I like talking I’ll write the entire story. One day (this is a pun and you’ll see why) I was watching art videos and ran into this amazing fanart of a guy with white hair and it said “AGUST D SPEEDPAINT” since I had a thing for white haired characters I gave it a go, without knowing it was KPOP related because as no one knows I despised kpop and their fandoms A LOT, moving on though, I went along and watched the entire thing and I after watching @auriee video more than 10 times I started to accept the fact that I REALLY LIKE THAT SONG AND I HAD TO KNOW THE MAN BEHIND IT. When I saw him maaaaan I fell, and as plus I was trying to get into rap a little more because I was in need of new music so this one fit the glove perfectly, then I procedeed to slowly tap the waters and listened to his other MV, after that I started reading the comments to see where could I download that mixtape, and found it on twitter...This wasnt enough though so I was like I need m o r e  music from him, and later on found out he was in a KPOP band and was like....NOPE...But slowly my curiousity and love for his outstanding talent go the better of me... So I explored this so called “BTS” and tried many songs didnt like any of them they were too hyped to get into them as a first, but then I found love of my life ONE DAY lol As a funny side note I later on discovered that it was almost meant to be I had both photos of him and Taehyung as hot guys I wanted to draw, the selca I’d saved was the following

I love that he speaks his mind, maybe because that’s a quality I lack also I love that he’s shy and aloof. That’s always been kind of the guys that I like physically they always have this coldness to them, but in reality they’re always the kindest people, and this is without a doubt the case with him too. He’s just such a nice and talented human. I admire him a lot, he’s such an inspirational soul.

I think he’d be the cheesy flirt hahahhaa he’s a softie and he’s sometimes very impulsive from what i’ve picked up so he’d do it and regret it immediately. I know that I am very smooth as a flirter cuz I just ignore people i like o _ o ) but jokes aside in a comfortable situation I am very smooth

hmmm i think none of us haha i dont think things are worth fighting about when they’re not serious like games, sports, all those things I take them as entertainment and I want to take out stress. If I take it seriously and compete ill stress out which is missing the point of the whole thing.  Given the way he’s with music I think he’d end up competing and ill be like “meh” ahaha but on the inside id be like “i dont wanna play anymore cuz i keep losing”

MEEEE lol I hate that shit. It’s my “pet peeve” it gets under my skin, I hate being told what to do when I know I have to do it.

I get cheesy at 3 am and im usually awake very late so I’d send the “I miss you” text and he’d respond with a meme of his face like
