Iwamoto: It says “How is your relationship with each other these days?“. That’s so difficult!

Fukazawa: We got a difficult question~... Ah, wait a minute. I’m going to change clothes first, (Iwamoto) Hikaru go and speak first! (leaves for a while)

Iwamoto: Hn~... (worrying alone). But I want to travel with Fukka this 2023. As many would expect, I want to go to Fuji-Q Highlands with him. The two of us went there before but I was driving and he was sleeping in the car on the whole ride home (laughs).

Fukazawa: (came back) What do I want for us to do together this 2023? What did Iwamoto-san answer?

Iwamoto: Travel.

Fukazawa: Right! As expected, you answered Fuji-Q right!?

Iwamoto: Un.

Fukazawa: It would be nice to go if we have a 2-day break! I want to go to the game center near the hotel on the first day. Is it still there~? It seems like the game center has been there for a long time, their prizes and game machines are all retro! After that...

Iwamoto: A meal while looking at Mt. Fuji right?

Fukazawa: Yes! After that, we’ll go to Fuji-Q and outlet stores... Ah, but we have two days so maybe I want to go to Fuji-Q, outlet stores, and hot springs on separate days.

Iwamoto: I want to do the Desperation Fortress (attraction in Fuji-Q) again with Fukka (because we failed the last time).

Fukazawa: It finally came into the conversation (laughs)! Everyone becomes friends when they do that!

Iwamoto: We became a team with a number of people in the first room!

Fukazawa: Is it still the same even now? The last time we went there we were locked in a prison cell with about 6 people and had to take the keys by ourselves.

Iwamoto: Right, right. You can only start after you opened it with the key!

Fukazawa: And, speaking about me and Iwamoto-san, there were a lot of times when we had the same room during tours.

Iwamoto: Even though we were originally supposed to be in different rooms in Singapore.

Fukazawa: I forgot the reason why but we ended up being in the same room! And it was a room with one bed.

Iwamoto: There was a small bed at the side but we put our luggage there so the two of us slept in the same bed.

Fukazawa: For about 10 days.

Iwamoto: We got room service every morning but because I’m weak in the morning Fukka’s the one who talks to the hotelman using his clumsy English (laughs). He even gave the hotelman a tip! And then I absentmindedly join Fukka while he eats his food!

Fukazawa: Right, right. I really didn’t know what I was saying in English (laughs).

Iwamoto: And then we even went to see the Merlion at night together.

Fukazawa: I don’t know if it’s because it’s that time (in Singapore), but there are times when we don’t go out right? Well, even if you say “Are you going out?” we can’t just go out when we’re in Japan, but it’s exactly because we were in Singapore that we could go out together! It was really fun!

Iwamoto: We’re already in the middle of touring now and we have our own rooms. What are you doing in your room?

Fukazawa: I’m already devotedly playing games. I’m always playing in Abe-chan(Abe Ryohei)’s room.

Iwamoto: I’m stretching my body while reading a book.

Fukazawa: How stoic! We were together for “SunoManma” a while back, but it really has been quite some time since the two of us talked about work. Even though we normally talk in private but talking at work didn’t feel as strange as I thought it would!

Iwamoto: Un. It was just like this. But as expected being together is fun.

Fukazawa: (wholly agree) Yes, yes, yes. There are a lot of fans who say we’re “natural” like we’re not working.

Iwamoto: It feels like we’re our “unadorned” selves.

Fukazawa: That’s “Sunomanma” (t/n: means “as we are” but is also the title of Snow Man’s radio show)! Well, I was just protecting the broadcast code (laughs). Somehow, I feel like I don’t know what we are to each other anymore because we’re together too much.

Iwamoto: For me, Fukka is a friend... I wonder what he is? But he is someone I am grateful to have by my side. I wonder if it’s something I think of the more I meet other people. Or maybe it’s that I have the same wavelength as other people I met through work. Even without words.

Fukazawa: Un. Even when we’re talking or working I’m sure the other person probably knows “What position I’m in right now is the best”! We don’t go out of our way to say it out loud though. Including the contents of what we talked about. We also somehow know things like “Ah, I’m like this”.

Iwamoto: We have a good balance!

Fukazawa: That’s exactly why the fans call us “dad” and “mom”, I think we definitely have a relationship like that because the fans put it like that.

Iwamoto: I think they understand us better than ourselves because they probably look at us more.

Fukazawa: How did we come to this? I don’t have a clue (laughs).

Iwamoto: Well but maybe it’s because we talk about a lot of things together?

Fukazawa: We went out for drinks a lot once we turned twenty! My birthday is a few days earlier so it’s on Iwamoto-san’s birthday. We weren’t especially talking about work but we still went for drinks.

Iwamoto: Right, right. That’s also why the two of us do things together like go on trips. Somehow, I think there would be things that will be hard to say to the other if we end up having a purely professional relationship.

Fukazawa: I might just say what I want without thinking too much like “Ah if I say this then he would definitely think this”. It would be faster if I just say it! I can say anything to Hikaru.

Iwamoto: That’s right (laughs)!

All Treasure!: Iwamoto Hikaru

[Sweat]

I‘m grateful that more people have started talking to me at the sauna recently. Apparently, they know me through my physique rather than my face (laughs). That’s why I go to the stone sauna when I want to be by myself to concentrate. I have personal clothes (for the stone sauna) so I can hide my body (laughs). If we’re talking about sweat from my youth then it is “SASUKE”. Laughing and crying, being devoted to one thing regardless of age - isn’t that youth?!

[Tears]

We appeared in (Akashiya) Sanma-san’s show “Anta no Yume wo Kanaetaro ka” at the start of this year, and I helped a young boy fulfill his dream of dancing with us. I’m already pretty happy that my activities have become someone’s dream and guide, but it’s the first time someone directly said to me “Thank you for making my dream come true”! Just remembering it makes my eyes well up~!

[Heart Pounding]

There was a child actor who acted as MoeKare’s heroine, Moe’s, little brother. He was nervous at first but we gradually grew closer, and then he followed me around saying “Hi-kun, Hi-kun”. And because he said he did his best to memorize Brother Beat’s choreography, I taught him things like how to move his head. And then he gave me a letter and a sketch of my face on the last day of filming. My chest tightened with his kindness! Next time I want him to memorize the choreography for Orange Kiss (laughs).

[Friendship]

My friend from middle school always came to watch my stage plays and live performances! “Your expression in this scene was cool!”, they tell me about their reactions to my projects. When you’ve known each other for a long time, occasions that make you go “You get it even if I don’t say it, right?” increases, but I’m honestly happy and grateful that they always voice out what they want to say!  

[Club Activities]

When I was in middle school, I was in the track and field club for only a month. I thought of doing long-distance running because I was always number 1 in marathons in elementary school! I stopped when I entered Johnny’s. In high school, I was in the dance club with Fukka! It was actually the gymnastics club but we almost made it into the dance club (laughs). If I were to join a club now, then I would probably be in the art club. It would be nice to broaden my creativity and hone my artistry. If I were to actually create something, then I’m more interested in making sculpted objects than painting.

Question to Snow Man: IwaFukka

Fukazawa-san from Iwamoto-san’s point of view

Q1: To tell you the truth, this person has this talent!

A1 - To be liked by anyone. Even the kouhai adore him. He was liked even by the small kid he was working for a drama. Fukazawa is always at the center of a group of people having fun!

A2 - Maybe it’s because he works too hard, but there are times when his switch just suddenly goes off. What goes on in his brain during that time is unknown (laughs). His aura just goes off when he switches to sleep mode that even I don’t know how he hides it (his aura).

Q1: To tell you the truth, this person has this talent!

A1 - Butai makeup. He is insanely fast at doing it! He sleeps until the last minute before the show, and then just puts on the gel. It doesn’t even take 5 minutes. And I’m envious because of his cool hairstyle because I have frizzy hair...

Q2: This part is still unknown!

A2 - The amount of muscle training he does is unknown. He goes out while saying “I’m going to the gym!”, but I don’t know how many hours he spends working out or what he does to train. I think it’s impossible to maintain that body with just an hour of working out.

Me and My Ships

"So, Phil, what do you think about his newest drama?" "Honestly? I feel betrayed." "Eh? Betrayed? Why?" "I don't know. I just, well, I really do feel betrayed."

That was a brief conversation I had with my friend back then when we found out that our favorite actor had got his new drama and co-staring with a beautiful actress.

Back then I still don't understand why I feel betrayed. I mean, it wasn't me who's in relationship, it was my ship: that actor and his previous co-star. But recently I know the reason.

The thing is, we protect what we love, right? And, damn, when I ship I do it hard. So hard that I practically can feel their feeling to each other (mostly headcanon but, well, I hope you know what I mean).

I love their love.

I don't know since when I have this feeling but I understand that most of the time I'm always in love with couple's love. I love it so much that I want to protect it at any cost.

I love seeing them falling in love to each other, taking care of each other, understanding each other, protecting each other.

It also hurt me when I know that they had a fight, or break up, or one being left behind.

I feel jealous when I found out that one of my pair seeing someone else.

I'm angry when they aren't faithful to each other.

And so, I feel betrayed when one of them moved to another person.

Just like what happen with my second-to-recent ship. (Not my newest, but the one exactly before I ship my newest pair).

So, yeah. The answer to that conversation is : I feel betrayed because the one from my ship is move on another person while the other person from my ship is still here. I feel the betrayal from one of them.

I know it sounds ridiculous, that I easily become a mess just from shipping. But I think I learn many things from being a shipper and for me, personally, seeing my pair happy is enough for me.

Call me a coward, for not having my own relationship because, yes, I'm afraid. I don't mind you talking bad about me, but don't mess with my ship.

I'm not going to start a war, tho. Shipping war is just as ridiculous as the fact that most of us doesn't have a life. So I'll just sit here, hallucinating in my own world with my ships and getting high from it.

Conclusion? I love couple's love. I love it so much that I want to protect it at any cost. I love it so much that somehow I can feel the feelings my pair had to each other. The bad thing is, I ship many and when I do it, I do it HARD. So when I feel like the relationship had ended, I leave too. But I'll still remember them. As part of my beautiful memories.

Maybe I don't love them as a pair anymore. But I still like them as a one person. So it's different.

But still it hurts like hell.

Funny things, though, I just posted something about my relationship with all of my ships. And then boom! I got this news. And it's official now that I suffer from another broken heart that my newest ship's relationship had to face a test.

just personal thoughts: i still feel beyond strange to this, but if the boys look happy and they ask us to support... i will just try to - even if it takes a long time. but i don’t think someday i will love new members as much as 6nin snm. it’s impossible. i will still support because line-up might have changed, but our six boys will still be the same boys. i hope this change is for good and can bring more positive, nice things and amazing opportunities for the group because it’s what they deserve ♡
