You are Masamune Kadoya, we all know this. So I’m wondering if there are any characters that he barely/doesn’t interact with in canon that you think he’d have an interesting dynamic with🤔💭 personally I like to think he has beef with Aguma. Just ‘cause I think it’s funny.

the masamune and aguma beef is so real he gives aguma the stink eye every time he sees him.

i like to think masamune and jack talk/hang out occasionally, mostly alongside zeo though. zeo and jack still keep in contact and talk regularly methinks. from the stories zeo tells of his time on team starbreaker, and from what masamune has seen himself, masamune believes he cant get along with that guy At All. que post-arrangement era jack who is isn’t /all/ of what stories zeo told, and masamune realizes is someone who can bring in interesting conversations. they’re obviously very different and probably don’t have much in common, but i think masamune would find jack’s view of beyblading interesting and want to learn more about it. also i think the idea of jack acknowledging masamune’s beyblading as beautiful in a way, but not really his thing, is kinda funny😭 . que my masamune hc where he is an artist but mostly for illustration and comics, masamune probably sends his drawings to jack and asks what he thinks about them. jack finds them silly and adorable but will give bro paragraphs of constructive criticism lmfao😭😭😭. these r all things i thought up pretty quickly, but i think one could do more with them !!

Mayblade Day 3: Eyes

"Eyes are the windows to the soul" — after all, they can easily express and convey emotion. Interestingly, Metal Fight Beyblade plays a lot with this theme.

Numerous characters wear glasses, in particular the main masterminds in each season: Daidoji, Ziggurat, and even Pluto.

Daidoji's glasses often reflect light and act like a mask, a barrier between him and others. They serve as a way for him to hide his true nature, complementing his more civilized and polite persona. Proof of this is seen when he reveals his true power to Phoenix in their battle, he takes off his glasses.

Ziggurat wears orange-tinted glasses, which stand out as the only touch of color in his otherwise grey design. Coincidentally, this is the same color as his eyes (albeit a little lighter). His glasses serve a similar purpose to Daidoji’s, though more toned down. Ziggurat is less restrained than Daidoji; he hides less of his true nature, as seen when he explains his intentions to Ryuga or when he laughs like a madman on camera.

In Pluto's case, the goggles he wears are more like a mask, concealing both his eyes and much of his face. This gives him a more ominous appearance and fits with his role as the hidden force behind both the Dark Nebula and Hades Inc. When Nemesis is about to be completed, Pluto removes his glasses, he no longer needs to stay hidden. At this moment, we fully see not just his face but also the content of his heart, as he elaborates on his twisted philosophy.

Jack is also worth mentioning. His mask hides only one of his eyes, possibly symbolizing how he lost a part of himself through the Arrangement System. When he returns to normal, he discards the mask. It’s fitting, considering the tail feathers of peacocks look like they have eyes — which ties into the legend behind their creation. Symbolically, Jack seems to take the "soul" of his opponent to give his art life; Klaus’s catatonic state with blank black eyes supports this. In episode 93, Ryuga injures Ziggurat very close to his eye, and in that same episode, Befall becomes the "eye of the peacock."

Lastly, King Hades and Cycnus share similar eye designs, both lack pupils. This design choice helps emphasize their inhuman and villainous nature. Their eyes resemble Nemesis’s own: glowing red and pupil-less, appearing empty, but in a far more menacing and powerful way.

MFB really uses the eyes to signify which characters have lost their souls, are hiding their true nature, or lack humanity.

Klaus was very difficult to draw and the broken spear is a refference to his battle with Masamune (him being compared to a spear).

Fun Facts About MFB Voice Actors (Japanese Dub)

Aki Kanada, Gingka's voice actress, has the given name "Aki," which is similar to the Japanese word for autumn (though written with different kanji). Fittingly, Gingka is the Legendary Blader of Autumn.

Takehito Koyasu, the voice actor for Daidouji, has also voiced major villains in two other Beyblade generations: Boris Balkov in Bakuten Shoot Beyblade and Phi in Beyblade Burst.

Kenjiro Tsuda (Ryuga) and Kōki Uchiyama (Jack) also voice Overhaul and Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Academia, respectively. Just like in MFB, their characters in MHA have short yet heated interactions. However, while Tsuda’s character (Ryuga) utterly defeated Uchiyama’s (Jack) in MFB. In MHA, Uchiyama’s character (Shigaraki) takes advantage of Overhaul’s downfall (he also took his arms).

Yūko Sanpei (Masamune's voice actress) and Romi Park (Damian's voice actress) previously voiced Pride and Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, respectively. While Masamune and Damian don’t interact much in MFB, they stand on opposite sides—Masamune as the deuteragonist and Damian as a villain. Interestingly, in FMA, the roles are reversed for their voice actors, with Sanpei voicing the villain (Pride) and Park voicing the hero (Edward). Incidentally Damian and Pride have some similarites are very loyal to a superior figure (Ziggurat and Father). Both characters also embody the theme of artificial power.

Nobuhiko Okamoto is notable for voicing two characters in the Metal Saga: the first being Teru Saotome and the second, Zyro Kurogane, the main protagonist of Zero-G (which is technically the fourth season of MFB). This makes Zyro the first main protagonist in Beyblade to be voiced by a male actor. Okamoto would later return as Phelix Payne in Beyblade Burst QuadDrive.
