the first time you held hands, katsuki doesn’t relax his fingers. say you were comparing hand sizes until you slip your fingers between his and squeeze, and he stares at it :T before he realizes what you meant.

also, at the most random times you reach over to pinch his cheeks, “it’s like a reward” tiktok sound. squish his face and smoosh his cheeks up down around. and he jumps away every time. katsuki never noticed how his face is more round or his cheeks are full, and now that you bring attention to them he gets embarrassed.

it’s not that he doesn’t want to hold your hand. he does, believe when I say he really does. he just lets say, doesn’t know how. the last time he held someone’s hand was his fathers when he was little. he can’t find the right time or place to do it, and he doesn’t know how to walk with someone while holding their hand.

he’s used to you comparing hand sizes at lunch or while walking and then letting go. but when he feels you squeeze both of your hands together, he holds that :T face. once he gets used to walking while holding hands, he thinks it’s pretty neat. he likes holding your hand.

with his cheeks, he’s been aware he has somewhat of a baby face. they’re not too full, and they don’t stick out much but he can still see them. he never gets used to how much you absolutely adore, love, cherish, and outright enjoy his baby face.

whenever you poke his cheek to get his attention he turns his head and says, “hah?” while your finger stays in place. you smile because you can see his cheek pudge a bit and it’s adorable. 

he sneers a bit once he find out your true intentions and swats away your hand. 

imagine holding onto the sides of his face near his ears and kissing both his cheeks softly after he has a bad day, a bad night. he sighs so deeply he feels like he’s going to deflate. 

pinching his cheeks whenever he’s annoying you and pulling it so he whines and leaves you alone. 

he absolutely HATES it when you two are cuddling and you blow onto his cheeks catching him by surprise. you treat him like a literal baby so he gets you back by shoving you off the bed of tickling you.

imagine being married and bakugo dealing with these kind of interviews.

people talk about you having his beta merch but what if he had yours? he has a little shelf dedicated to beta versions of figures of you that might be released to the public. he has a little section in his part of the closet that is full of wonky designs made from past companies that were the firsts of your hero merch.

bakugo being pissed off that people keep asking if he wasn’t with you who would he be with because he’s choosing you either way.

“if y/n never accepted your feelings, who would you have been with?”

“they actually would and did accept my feelings, so I’m gonna go with y/n.”

bakugo katsuki was the little boy on a little stool as he watches his dad chop carrots for dinner. the smell of potatoes and rice and the starry eyes because woah. masaru would serve him a bowl and katsuki would run to the table. drawings and school pictures hung on the fridge as they eat together. “please sit down,” masaru says when katsuki gets too excited, jumping with his mouth full.

I like to imagine him sitting at the dinner table at the chair closet to where masaru is to see what he’s doing. he’s angling his chin up to try to see over his shoulder or around his body that keeps blocking his view. 

whenever his dad cooks it’s something else entirely from how his mother does. Even the food smells different and it leaves him salivating and with his mouth watering. 

imagine him approaching his dad and putting his hands on the edge of the counter and trying to look up on his tippy toes?? the tips of his hair bounce a little because he keeps hopping to see what he’s doing. 

AND IF MASARU IS NOW STIRRING SOUP ON THE STOVE HE’LL PICK UP BAKUGO AND HOLD ONTO HIM WITH ONE ARM WHILE COOKING BECAUSE AT THIS POINT KATSUKI WAS BEGGING HIM TO LET HIM SEE.

he’ll point at everything.

“What’s that, what’s that? That smells funny. I wanna stir the soup!!”

also want to add that masaru thinks it’s absolutely adorable that katsuki runs straight to the kitchen if he hears he’s in there. he jumps excitedly to show him what he did in school while masaru cooks and kisses mitsuki on the cheek while saying “welcome home.”

i say this a lot but katsuki likes to share his food with you!!!! you don't understand! on dates he’ll order TOO MUCH WHEN YALL BUY FROM FOOD STANDS. he’s excited to give one to you aka his love his soulmate his ride or die. “take it! smells good right?” and you can take bites out of both to see which you like more and then trade if necessary.

some convenience stores you can eat right in the store, so imagine having ramen or a hot meal together and you keep eyeing his spicy noodles so he’ll grab YOURS and start eating, which is your cue to do the same. he has a drink ready if you can’t handle the heat 🥰 i love him

even breakfast!!!!-‘ aRGH. he’ll have his bowl of rice and maybe an omelette and he just has to hold out a fork for you to open your mouth and NOM. being with katsuki you’d be well or over fed 😶😶

the way that food is a love language between you two. it's not only something that you need to survive but it's also something that you've had and you have shared with each other your entire lives. he takes ride or die seriously, if he wants to try a new dish, you're trying it with him.

he orders waaaaay too much food at the stands so that leftover food is left in the fridge for the next day to serve as lunch, or even dinner or a treat after dinner.

food is an unspoken language with you two.

NO BECAUSE THE OMELET MADE ME THINK HE'S NOT GIVING YOU A BITE UNTIL HE FOLDS IT PERFECTLY. you know how you fold food with your fork and then eat it and pick it up? yeah he wants it to fold perfectly so it can fit its way into your mouth.

keyword: tried. he tries to go the whole nine yards, a floor, walls with windows on it, a sky light, and maybe even lights in there so you guys can talk about how you're gonna be heroes and what you're gonna have for lunch the next day. but it turns out that it was only a wooden platform. nothing extra. but it was enough for you both. just two pillows and two blankets for the two of you. you do whatever you want up there, whether it be reading the new science book from the library or playing video games on his nintendo.

SITTING ON THE SIDEWALK NOT EVEN WALKING THATS SO CUTE TO ME? just sitting next to each other and chewing and blowing gum together. laughing at how you can't seem to keep it growing. you laugh hard when his finally pops and it somehow gets all over his face.

(he stares at you angrily when you guys get to his home and mitsuki is wiping his face for him)

NO BECAUSE HIM JUST TREASURING HIS ACCEPTANCE LETTER. he has it on his wall because it's constant reminder to him that he tried and he fucking succeeded. i wanna see his room >:(( i've love to stick posters on his walls, helping him arrange some picture frames of memories of you guys in school. (he only does it cause you told him to)

he keeps the plant alive for you and only you. plus he likes that plant a lot, gives some liveliness to his room.

THE BOOK SJDFLASDJ i feel like you also give him the book "wreck this journal." it helps him when he's taking a break and calm his mind. he subtlety asks you for another one on his birthday when he's done with the first one you gave him.

on nights you would sleep over at his house when you were young, and you were still a little scared of the dark, katsuki would use his quirk and make “fireworks” as you’d call it just to make you smile.

after a while he did it as a distraction all the time; whenever you got hurt from a rough fall and ice cream wasn’t cutting it anymore.

as he sits in his room at ua, he’ll watch the glow of his palms and thinks about how you’d poke at his arms, saying you wished you had a cool quirk like him —how you wished you had a quirk.

...why did you have to write that last sentence.

it's one of those nights again, where the thoughts come reeling back into bakugo's brain. his mind decided it's time to stop repressing them and remember.

he remembers when you were kids, when he was less mean than what he was now. how you would sleep over in his childhood bedroom. mitsuki greeting you at the door and masaru giving you a pat on your head. bakugo remembers that.

he remembers when it was time for bed, you'd always try to snuggle closer to him at night. the dark still wasn't your friend yet, and you couldn't sleep. you would poke at his cheek, trying to wake him up. he would sit up and rub his eyes and ask "what's wrong?"

"i can't sleep." you always replied.

those words already told bakugo what to do. when treats were no longer sufficient in helping you, he resorted to his quirk. you admired his quirk back then, and called it pretty. no one ever called it that. they called it cool or amazing or strong. but bakugo clearly remembers you calling his brash quirk, beautiful.

he remembers when you called his mini explosions fireworks. how your child eyes would gleam in pure joy watching his palms glow and let go.

he used fireworks to help you sleep. the sight, the small sounds, the aftermath of him, it helped you be at peace. and you would sleep.

but bakugo also remembers, when you came and told him after school that you wouldn't be like him. you can't be like him. you had no quirk of your own. nothing. you fell into what society called the nobody's. you thought he would push you away, like he did to deku. but he didn't. he instead told you, "just watch me. i'll become a hero for both of us, swear it."

and when bakugo made a promise he never broke it.

and now he's stuck, stuck in his high school dorm room. wishing you were here. maybe if your shitty genes granted you a gift like his, maybe you would be here. you would be here beside him, sharing a dream like you always wanted to.

you'd be here to call him pretty again. you'd be here to hold his hand and tell him just how beautiful he was. how beautiful his quirk was. and maybe, just maybe, he wouldn't have to see you just admire him. maybe he could have seen you by his side.

but no, life isn't fair to all. because you had no quirk of your own.

and bakugo katsuki was left with nothing but the echo of you.

he’s the nerd without the glasses. he’s a general class a nerd. top tier. he will close all the tabs you have open to make your computer work again.

if he was in the support course I’d say he’d be pretty good at his job. he can design his own stealth suit without even being in the support course— wowie.

he knows everything but still somehow learns more over the weekend when he’s bored and is in need of a distraction. probably knows the ins and outs of his gauntlets at this point because he probably dismantled it at one point in time to see how this thing works and to see if he can improve it himself.

he’s the guy everyone goes to for help with a device. old people are probably a big fan of him.

he lets go of your face and snickers. while he goes to the kitchen to wash his cup that has already been emptied of it's tea, you follow him.

"no seriously, why do you keep grabbing my face?"

the tap turns on and bakugo is rinsing and washing. you lean your whole body on his backside, making him lean forward too. one of these days you hope to exhaust his patience and see him tick because of your daily antics like he used to, but alas he hasn't. patience is what you taught him in this relationship, although that hasn't stopped him from acting like he always does.

"babe you're gonna make me get wet."

"well maybe if i want you to get wet."

"you don't want that you liar."

"well what if" ― you climbed up onto his back and wrapped your legs around his waist ― "i actually want to do that."

"shut up and let go."

"no."

"y/n i need to go do my paperwork."

"yeah well i need you more than your dumb paperwork."

when he was a kid, he would get hurt a lot. katsuki’s mother would say to never make a fist when using his quirk bc his hands get all red and a little bloody. when it would happen you drag him back and tell his mother, worried and asking if he’ll be ok as she checked his hands. she’s have you distract katsuki as he gets cleaned up. it did hurt, but he never cried.

she told him to never close it because she noticed one time he got really upset and balled up his fist. he didn’t have full control of the reigns of his quirk so it heated up a bit too much that he ended up yelping because he caused his palm and fingertips to burn and bleed a little.

he didn’t cry when she took him to the clinic and the nurse cleaned it with alcohol and swabbed it gently with cotton. he just winced slightly but held it together because in his words “I can take it.”

the first time you saw his hands hurt you were panicking because you knew how his hands would heat up. so when you ran over to his mom you kept asking her if he was going to be ok. you were crying at this point because you didn’t know what to do except get help.

after bakugo’s mom helped bandage his hands up, she gave you both a small bowl of ice cream in the kitchen to calm down. she patted your head and moved your bangs back in a soothing manner and said he was going to be fine, he just needs to take it easy for a bit.

at the end of it just picture you with your tear stained cheeks eating ice cream with bakugo by your side as he said he wasn’t hurt bad and that you guys should watch tv later.

kirishima having a habit of kissing your ring finger during your teen years as a silent promise to himself (and as a symbol of his love). and years later he still continues to kiss your ring finger, except this time you wore a beautiful ring.

before kissing it, he has the habit of rubbing it when he holds your hand. he’s been with you for awhile now, a few months and he likes the feeling of seeing you everyday and thinking that he found someone who really does love him. but he’s always been a little hesitant with crossing imaginary lines so he resorts to rubbing your ring finger when riding on a train or standing waiting for the crosswalk sign to blink.

so when one day you kiss the palm of his hand while resting your cheek on it he starts to kiss your ring finger. he’s promising you and himself that you’re staying together. it doesn’t matter if the ring you wear years later is a promise ring or an engagement ring. he’s yours and you are his.

THAT MF. he could just be walking past you in the hallway and he sneaks a glance at you and sees you have something. he’s suddenly jerking into a stop and spinning on his heel to get what you have.

his eyes are a dead ass giveaway. he sees something you have and his eyes are always on it. he pretends do be drinking his water but he’s still keeping an eye your item.

he just grabs your cup and takes a big ass gulp and he just pretends to not like it and stick out his tongue while handing back your nearly empty cup.

you could just be sitting down with a snack in a bowl on the couch and it’s just a war of the same two words being tossed around:
