thinking about jake and this video of him in a pool. with his tank shirt, long hair and pretty eyes looking up at you— the reflection of the light in his orbs makes them shiny, he would swear it’s only because of you. “c’mon, get into the pool, love” he would tell you, arms resting on the pool’s edge, in a way that perfectly show of his biceps.

“woah ..! be careful, princess,” he would say as he watches you get in, hands close to your circle of warmth but still not touching you yet: just in case. would take your hands in his and put them on his shoulders, his lingering on your chest and helping you float. “are you alright?” he would question you, you would only be able to nod— well too focused on the way his fluffy brown hair moves when he tries to readjust them; leaning his head backwards, showing off his adam apple perfectly, moving his head slightly from sides to sides so he doesn’t use his hands.

he would make you both do fun water choreographies, pushing both of you away from each other and still holding hands. biting his lower lip as he watches you, desperately trying to hold back a smirk. “who are you looking at like that?” you would end up asking him, giggling as he pulls you closer. “you” he would tell you back, walking closer to you in the water. you would watch him do, putting back your hands on his broad shoulders while he holds your waist again. “my pretty girl,” he would mutter before making your lips collide.

「synopsis」 : there was nothing you hated more than being the center of attention, but moving to a new college town in the middle of the semester was sure to draw attention. though you hoped that all of the attention would die away when they realized that you weren't anyone but a nobody, and it did. for the most part. however, you had caught the eyes of the infamous group of 'fuckboys' as you would call them, more specifically jake sim and among themselves they made a little bet, that jake could make you fall in love with him before the end of the year, and he did not plan on losing.

moments when you utterly adore them :(

heeseung talks a LOT about his games. his world is filled with computer games (and you ofc). when he's not spending time with you he's always playing games. but at times there are these specific matches that stay in his head for so long because he either played really well and won the game or he lost the game. he would go on talking about how jake could've defended his character instead of attacking the enemy and then he could've had the chance to counter attack them and kill all of the opponent teammates, or how he was just SO close to killing the enemy but he ran out of time. he talks about all that with so much excitement and hormonal rush as if he was in the game himself and lost at war. he also has this habit where his eyebrows go up and his eyes widen every time he's talking excitedly, and you find everything about such situations so endearing.

jay cooks a lot. he makes breakfast and then lunch and then dinner and snacks in the between if you're hungry. he does it with so much care and concentration, he does not really notice his lips forming a pout and staying that way until he's done with his culinary art. once you woke up a little late, and upon not finding jay next to you, you walked to the kitchen hoping he would be there. as you've expected, jay was making some sandwiches for breakfast. you walked up to him and wished him a good morning but he just hummed in response. he was just about to cut the sandwich into pieces for you and was so concentrated with his lips forming a little pout. his very pouty lips caught your attention all the time and it was the same now. he was too cute to ignore, way too immersed in his own world. so you couldn't hold yourself back and bent over to steal a kiss all of a sudden. it kinda did startle him but his cute smile after the peck melted you into a puddle. 

the way jake says his korean name. you loved, loved how he said 'jaeyun'. you probably needed help at this point because who even gushes dopamine when they hear somebody saying their own name? you absolutely had no idea why you liked it so much but it made you want to kiss his whole face, it just felt adorable to you. now now, jake doesn't really use his korean name a lot so whenever you'd want to hear it, you'd go 'jake what's your name?' he'd be like 'what's my what?' 'your name?' 'uhhh.. jake?' 'no the other one.' 'jaeyun?' as soon as he said his name out loud, you'd grow a wide smile on your face as you held his face between your palms as you pressed a kiss onto his lips with utter love. well yeah you were just whipped and he's still confused so as to what the hell him saying his name made you feel.

sunghoon 's sudden bursts of energy were your absolutely favourite moments with him. every time you'd go on a date, if he finds something interesting his energy will exceed his limits and he seems like an excited puppy, much like jake in this case. like that one time you guys went to an amusement park, everything was already quite exciting but when sunghoon saw the claw machine his excitement spiked. 'oh my god y/n!!!!!!' and you're like ???? 'THERE'S A CLAW MACHINE RIGHT THERE!!!' bro is acting like he's never seen something like that ever in his lifetime. he's practically bouncing on his feet until you guys put in the money and he gets hold of the controller. and at this point you just know he won't give up until he actually wins atleast one plushie so that he can give it to you. nevertheless, you always find his sudden surges of excitement very very cute and you also get to see that dazzling smile of his so you love it.

sunoo had this habit of hiding his face in his hands whenever he got embarrassed or shy with a wideeee smile behind those palms. it wasn't very often that you'd get to witness this but there were times when you purposefully did something in order to make him feel shy. you'd stare at him while he talks or just stare at him general because ofcourse he was made beautifully but also so that you could get a good reaction out of him. once you arranged a little surprise party at your house for a mutual friend's birthday. and after the party, you and sunoo cleaned up the whole house with the help of two other friends and you plopped yourselves on the couch after the whole cleaning process. you noticed how sunoo was tired and closed his eyes and he rested his head on the couch, and you couldn't help but stare at him. when sunoo opened his eyes and noticed your gaze, he got all flustered and smiled. 'why are you looking at me like that? creep.' 'nothing you're just so pretty.' as soon as you said that his hands reached up to his face covering his cheeks and eyes as he giggled at your words. and there goes your heart at the sight. you swore to god you wanted to squish his cheeks so bad.

jungwon 's habit of looking up whenever he's talking about something as he recalls words so that he can put them into sentences was your absolute favourite thing about him. you noticed it first when you guys were on your third? or maybe the fourth date. it was an indoor one, you guys had planned to just watch a movie with popcorn because you were feeling kinda lazy that day to go outdoors. you guys wanted to watch something interesting so you put on some sci-fi movie. it started off boring but you guys got so invested midway and you had to pause the movie so you could discuss your theories before actually knowing what's gonna happen. jungwon started explaining his thoughts on the plot as you just kept noticing how he looked up to recall the names and places mentioned in the movie. you couldn't help but watch him with a bright smile, not even listening to what he was actually saying. he noticed this and asked, 'what? why are you smiling? you're not even listening to what i'm saying right now.' you started giggling and shook your head but he insisted on knowing the reason behind your smile. 'why do you look up while you're talking about something, like in the cartoons?' the fact is, even he didn't realize that he had the habit of it until you pointed it out. he goes 'wait do i really do that?' and when you nod he gets a little shy and embarrassed and hides his face in your neck and you chuckle at him saying 'it's really really cute though.'

you loved it when niki laughed out loud. he laughed out loud with his whole body, his hands hitting random objects. it made you smile mostly because he looked funny half of the time but you adored the way he always enjoyed little things. you were quite a very clumsy person, especially when it comes to holding things. once you guys were on an ice cream date. you both ordered ice creams and paid the money. as you were about to receive the remaining amount in cash, you couldn't hold the coins properly as you preferred to move to the side so that the people behind you could order, but you ended up dropping the coins and it made such a loud noise and you ended up gaining the attention of people around you. you mentally scolded yourself and silently picked the coins up and left to sit at your table. niki saw all of this unfold in front of his eyes and was already laughing to his heart's content at the expression on your face when the coins dropped out of your hand. you were embarrassed for sure but watching him laugh like that erased all of the embarrassment.

author’s note: guess who is back 😼 honestly as a musician, it is probably the most disappointing part - not being able to come up with any good melody or just being unsatisfied with your work, but i guess all creators can agree on that :’)

Jake buried his face in the palms of his hands as yet another phrase slipped his mind. He never thought writing lyrics would be so difficult yet here he is hopeless since all the good words seemed to be nonoperative. Not only lyrics were his problem, but all the melodies also didn’t sound as good as he wanted. He thought all those years of musical education and violin playing would be helpful but somehow made it even worse, setting expectations so high, it was almost impossible to reach.

Suddenly the sound of a new message notification resounded in the quiet studio. He immediately reached for it thinking it could be you. Thankfully it was.

y/nie 💞: hi my love! are you done or should I come over?

He thought for a while and bit his lip. The last thing he wanted is you to see him in that state. His hair was messy, he didn’t shave for a while, and his eyes bloodshot red from crying and being in front of a computer for a whole day. The only moment he left the studio was to go to the toilet and when Jungwon asked him if he had maybe seen their choreographer.

He finally decided to just apologize for being at work until late hour once again.

His phone lit up again showing another message from you.

y/nie 💞: well too bad cuz i’m already at hybe :)

The message made him freeze. He really didn’t want you to see him like that, having a feeling that you were going to scold him for not taking proper care of himself. He quickly grabbed his phone to take a quick shower before you came only to see you as soon as he opened ten door. He noticed the bag of his favorite snacks and a bright smile on your face, which slowly faded away as you saw how in bad shape your boyfriend was. He thought about how disappointed you were, not knowing the only person you were mad at was yourself, feeling guilty for letting that happen.

“My love…” you finally spoke and caressed his cheek lovingly. This faint touch made his lip quiver as tears started to flood his eyes.

You closed the door behind you for some privacy and engulfed him in a tight hug, that he needed so much.

“I feel like a failure. I can’t even come up with the easiest lyrics,” he cried trying to calm down at the same time.

“Jake, look at me,” you spoke and cupped his cheeks. “It’s okay to have a block, I know how difficult it is to write good lyrics and that’s why I’m always so proud of you and how far you’ve come. You never fail to impress me and many others.”

He nodded at your words which spoke to him perfectly and resolved his doubts.

“Thank you,” he simply said and smiled at you.

“Can I maybe help you? Can I see what you have already?”

A little skeptical about your idea he showed you his notes full of scribbles and crossed-off words. You took your time in reading his work and soon gave your feedback, which to your surprise seemed to untie some knots in his mind. You watched as he slowly nods and writes it down hastily, regaining his confidence thanks to both your comment and good remarks.

You spend long hours in that one small studio, thinking of good and catchy phrases and tunes in the hope that maybe both of your names are going to be listed in the final credits of the album.

there is a lot of things that you love about jake; his contagious smile, the way his plumpy lips pout when he is focused, his tight yet comforting back hugs and most importantly, his fluffy brown hair.

you could talk about them for days on end. the smooth motion of them falling back perfectly whenever your boyfriend runs his fingers through them or how soft the feel against your fingers tips when you play with them. they are perfect, even more since you successfully convinced him to let them grow properly. well, long enough so you can style them.

“wah,” you hear your boyfriend sigh from a little below you, his arms tightens around your waist and pull you closer to him. here, standing in between his legs while he sits on the chair in front of you, you almost stumble over your feet. “i really like how it feels”

he burries his face a little bit below your your chest and you take the opportunity to brush the back of his head. his hair feels like soft cotton candy when you pass the brush through it, the humming that he does whenever you renew the movement adds a dreamy touch to it. you hear him groan at some point and you smile ; putting the brush on the table next to the both of you.

jake furrows his eyebrows and groans as you slightly pull away from his circle of warm. his hands gift from somewhere in your lower back to right on your hips. you take your time to choose the right hairpin from your growing collection, ending up choosing the pochacco one. there is a glimpse of admiration mixed with pure adoration as jake looks up to you, eyes shining just as you tuck an strand of his hair behind his ear — and he blushes.

“how do i look, my love?” he asks you, right after you put the hair accessory where it belongs. you hold his face in your hands, biting your lower lip to repress a giggle. the only way you can respond to that question is by giving him a kiss, to which he responds gladly.
