Loudclan - Moon 31:

As summer fades to a close and the weather shifts colder by the day, Juneaucliff finds himself wishing that his nest wasn't so empty, and seeks advice from his friends on ways to woo a certain red-furred she-cat.

While the older toms aren't very helpful, Kingfur and Cavedew are more than willing to provide their assistance! (red substance is berry juice, not blood)

With a brief thanks for their assistance, Juneaucliff hurries back to camp, now overflowing with confidence and ready to make his move.

Rosehiptree is still just as uninterested as ever... At least when it comes to Juneaucliff.

Songpaw always seems to have herbs stuck in his fur. Juneaucliff watches jealously from across the camp.

Axeldawn takes pity on the poor, embarrassed Juneaucliff, and decides to lend him a paw. Juneaucliff decides to wear the forget-me-nots permanently, so that Kingfur and Peakpatch won't get the satisfaction of seeing him admit to being fooled.

Their bonding is interrupted by Fairbanks, a fierce young tom who wishes to join the clan, but only after he's assured that the fur-braiding and berry blush isn't mandatory.

Back in camp, Weed and Cavedew have some bonding time.

Cavedew, Weed, Juneaucliff, and Axeldawn are all poisoned after ingesting baneberries. Weed catches the symptoms early enough to prevent any immediate deaths, but the affected cats are still at risk.

[I had FAR too much fun doing the lighting and backgrounds for these! Rosehip cleaning Song might also be my new favorite panel I've drawn, they're so cute! If you are a Peakpatch or Jaggedtail fan please say thank you to the discord for bullying me into including them. This moon was not supposed to be as big as it is since the poisoning event truly happened next moon in-game, but it was just too perfect with the herbs getting messed up to not move it to this moon. Baneberries are real and they look very much like wild cranberries at a quick glance. (they also, fun fact, grow in my back yard). Also how are we feeling about the text size? I noticed it was a bit hard to read without clicking so I made it a couple sizes bigger, does it make a difference for yall? Anyway, it's 4am and I'm so tired, so I'm gonna drop this and head for bed. Hope yall enjoy!]

Loudclan - Moon 26

The last traces of winter are finally gone as spring fully takes over. The good weather brings about good moods for the cats of Loudclan, and Dogwoodpaw often finds herself the center of attention during training as her mentor becomes more insistent that she accept her warrior name early.

Dogwoodmoth has earned her warrior name. She is honored for her thoughtfulness.

Later that night, while her sister sits her vigil over the camp, Rosehippaw sneaks out to visit the Black Water Pool.

Rosehippaw returns to camp, shaken by the experience, and questions what legacy she will leave behind when she's gone.

[Probably should have split this into 2 parts cause it's so long but I was so excited to draw the second part I couldn't stand to wait! I love the healer kits so much I want nothing bad to happen to them ever unfortunately things are not looking good in that respect. In better news, however, Dogwoodmoth is named in honor of Mothtree! Several asks suggested this and I thought it was cuter than her original name of "Dogwoodmulch" so congrats and thank you if you were one of them!]

Loudclan - Moon 21:

Wildfirecry and Fiercestripe’s kits have reached 6 moons old and are apprenticed. Dogwood paw is apprenticed to Jaggedtail due to her playful nature while Rosehippaw is apprenticed to her mother, Fiercestripe, so that her training can be altered to not aggravate her illness, which has followed her into apprenticeship despite the best efforts of the healers.

Despite not being able to have a “normal” apprenticeship, Rosehippaw is determined not to be left behind, and Fiercestripe vows to do whatever she can to help her.

[I don’t know about you guys but I needed something short and sweet before the EVENT that is coming up next moon. Speaking of, it will probably either take a while or be split into two parts… or both. Anyway, until then enjoy everybody’s favorite mom and my favorite bratty child. They’re still figuring out where “mom” ends and “mentor” begins but until then: training cuddles! Jaggedtail definitely had to grovel a bit to get Dogwoodpaw as an apprentice, but between him and Juneaucliff he was obviously the better match personality wise. And don’t worry, Dogwoodpaw keeps Rosehippaw up to date on EVERYTHING she sees on border patrol, along with sneaking out at night to teach her battle and hunting moves that Fiercestripe thinks are too arduous.]

Loudclan - Moon 30:

Time does not stop, and so the clan must move forward. They welcome Cavedew as their newest warrior, honoring him for his wit. For possibly the first time ever, Siltsplash decides to take a break, and thus his younger brother Erminepaw is apprenticed to Chickadeeblur.

Now an apprentice, Erminepaw is not shy about the fact that he has more interest in hanging out with Songpaw than he does in training to be a warrior.

Unfortunately for Songpaw, this means he won't be getting a break from his new crush anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Kingfur and Sockeyepelt come across a trespassing loner.

Axel is accepted into Loudclan, and takes the clan name Axeldawn.

Short and sweet! Just what we need after last moon! Erminepaw give our poor boy a break he's gonna have a heart attack. It's not like it's Songpaw's first crush, he has a big ol crush on Rosehiptree, but that's different, that's not something that could actually happen, Rosehip's older and cooler and way out of his league, so there's no pressure there. But Erminepaw, Erminepaw is right there with him all the time and now he's tall and he has no concept of personal space and Songpaw doesn't have any idea what to do about it. Also don't believe for a second that Siltsplash didn't know what they were doing. Out of all of Songpaw's possible mate choices in the clan Ermine is their favorite, so they are more than willing to assign him to herb gathering whenever he wishes. Sockeyepelt, on the other hand, has been officially ordered by Chickadeeblur to "give Axeldawn some space". She's just excited to have someone new to fawn over, Juneaucliff, Jaggedtail, and Peakpatch were getting boring, especially with Jagged and Peak spending so much time together. Axeldawn doesn't really mind the attention, he'd just like some time to adjust to clan life first. Anyway, loving seeing all of the people breaking out their detective skills on the last post! The correct answers, at least the ones I was intentionally foreshadowing, were Jagged x Peak, Song x Ermine, and Song x Rosehip. Not all of these new crushes are going anywhere, Song's crush on Rose is obviously fully one sided until he grows up, but they're fun while they last!

Weed, watching Eklutna bleed out due to her own hubris:

It would be Fiercestripe. Cats (and animals in general) can lactate without giving birth but it's easier if they have. Plus Fiercestripe went from nursing her own kits to nursing Cavekit so she would still be producing milk at this point anyway. For Loudclan, nursing doesn't equate to adoption, so unless otherwise stated, assume that any adopted kits are being nursed by the queen who has most recently given birth.

That is exactly who she is. She is someone who had a destiny, a job, to bring Loudclan to the Black Water, but when her job was done Starclan abandoned her. And that is cruel and unfair. That's what makes her so tragic I think. She was abandoned by Starclan, leaving her lost and alone in the world, and in trying to get them back she has accidentally abandoned her kits, leaving them lost and alone in turn.

(ಥ_ಥ) guys I can't im so sorry I have the names written down in too many places. But also Saltykit is so funny like what if the clan did just name them how they felt about Eklutna and we just had like Hatekit, Angrykit, and Madkit.

List of people who could ABSOLUTELY tell a kit their mother is dead: Siltsplash, Wildfirecry, Weed, Fiercestripe, Chickadeeblur, Jaggedtail, Juneaucliff, Sockeyepaw, Dogwoodpaw, and Rosehippaw. They've got to find out at some point and it's better just to make sure they understand what it means from an early age then to have them grow up and find out and feel confused/betrayed/disappointed.

I’m confused as to where JaggedStripe came in from, I seen an ask about it but I looked back and didn’t see anything with him in it.

I don't blame you, he's only appeared once in the actual moon updates during Moon 3. We didn't see him join because he was one of the original founding members of the clan, just a young cat who took shelter alongside the older Loudclan cats. He was good friends with Bluepaw and is now friends with Peakpatch!

Her name was Polly! She wasn't sure about joining up with Loudclan when it first formed, but now she lives in Shadedclan and has changed her name to Dustfeather. Jaggedtail's siblings were named Crag, Slope, and Pebble.

Did Peakpatch and Bitterpelt have crushes on Mothtree when they were apprentices? Just asking because they were blushing when they went to join her on the ice in Moon 9.

Yep! Nothing serious, it's just that she's literally the only age appropriate she-cat in the clan so she's kinda the default heart throb of the young toms (Peakpatch, Bitterpelt, and Jaggedtail). Everyone but Juneaucliff, who "doesn't have time for silly things like that".

Dude I’m so confused when was the moon where JaggedTail said something about Rose and why did his design change from the ask to the moon????

My deepest apologies for the confusion, Jaggedtail didn't say anything about Rosehip in a moon update, it was mentioned in this ask response.

For his design: I've been trying to experiment with how much detail I want to put into ask responses, I felt that the characters weren't super recognizable so I was trying to draw their patterns but using their eye colors so that it was a limited palette and therefore less work but I think it was too confusing so I probably won't continue with it. His real colors are the ones in the moon updates, i was just trying something new to see how it looked. I think I will go back and tag all of the characters in my posts to try and limit issues like this in the future, I just need to block some time out for that, maybe after moon 22 is finished. Anyway, sorry, hope this helps clear things up!
