🍋 🍋 by @creatifolio for today’s #GoodtypeTuesday ・・・ A couple weeks ago, I was making lemon curd to use for filling some macarons, and I took a little taste test of it. Instead of being transported to heavenly clouds of lemon glee, I said something like, “blegh,” and was regretfully reminded yet again that I do not like lemon curd. At all. In fact, I had to ask my kids if it tasted okay. Knowing that my 8yo likes lemon, I had him sample it. Happily, this is one area in which he does not take after me, since he not only loved it, but asked for more, and ultimately polished off the rest of the leftover lemon curd which I had meant to give to my brother (Sorry Justin!) This week, I’ll make it up to Justin by making him some more lemon curd, and maybe I’ll dress up the jar with this label. I’m not sure why “a jar label for Lemon Curd” was the first thing that popped into my head for this week’s #GoodTypeTuesday prompt (to design a package), but here we are. I’ve been wanting to try out more package designs / labels, especially for food related items 😆 I’m imagining this letterpressed and gold foil stamped. 🤔✨ Do you like lemon curd? . . Battle of The A320′s in Xplane?  Please as if...

     With the recent updates to both A320′s offered by Flight Factor and JARDesign, you would think one of them will come out on top.  Well, guess again ladies and gentlemen.  Let’s be honest first, Flight Factor’s version of the A320 is truly the “Ultimate” Airbus plane of that variation to have in your arsenal for X-Plane.  It has a very immersive system close to study level, the textures are beautiful with a optional mod you can download from Matavia for even more beautiful visuals, a pretty cool EFB tablet and the sounds at default is really good.  The biggest let down mainly is optimization.  Flight Factor has a history with very slow updates, not very engaging (except if you catch them on Twitter here and there) with the flight sim user community and bad tendencies of starting on new projects without fixing the current ones.  All of this plus bad optimization for the A320 makes it one of the worst investments for me in flight simulation.  

     Being the A320 from FF (Flight Factor) is currently unflyable, unless you like to fly with 30 or less FPS with the specs I have (check previous posts on my specs and you’ll see how ridiculous this is in comparison to other aircrafts), I decided to check out the A320 from JARDesign.  Wow did this make me miss the immersion of FF’s version of the popular aircraft! Take a look at the second picture up top of this post and that is the inside of the JAR’s version.  Now take a look at the one from Flight Factor down below.  HUGE DIFFERENCE! Granted there is better lighting for Flight Factor’s screenshot of the cockpit but you can see all the details.  The scratches, glass reflection and let me add ALL the buttons are functional (some with bugs).  JAR’s version makes me feel like I am flying a toy plane, the engine sound is terrible and overall it just wasn’t a great experience.  I actually enjoy their A330 much more and I highly recommend checking that out instead of this toy airplane.

     Overall, if you’re looking to fly an aircraft that is close to study level, great immersion, nice sounds and textures, well there is no A320 currently that I truly recommend.  Your best shot is to once again, I am forever recommending them, purchase an A319 from Toliss.  The A321 is great but it’s a big longer in comparison to the A320 vs A319.
