Moving to Kismet Harbor was something that had come unexpectedly in his life. The location of choice was not random, considering his best friend had settled into the area but it was still an adjustment to Jason. He was rather used to being on the go, all the time where in Kismet Harbor, there was a lot more down time, a feeling of lessened stress. Which all were good things, once he got used to them anyway. "You ever live anywhere else?" He questioned the person at the bar next to him, curious if another had any insight on living in a new place.

"It's nice to find a fellow hiker," Jason commented, tying up his left boot before standing up. "I haven't been here that long," the weeks had quickly added up but Jason was still exploring Kismet Harbor. "How long have you lived in the area?" He questioned as the two of them started out on the trail. Jason wore his day hiking pack, the water pouch filled as it was a rather warm Oregon day. They were getting an early head start, but there was no such thing as too prepared, at least in his mind.

Getting to spend time with Amerie was something that Jason did not take for granted. It was not so often the two were getting to spend time with one another. He was just grateful that she did not hate him for giving her the wrong number when his mind was pretty much elsewhere during their hiking trip they met on. Thankful, that she still wanted to see him. Jason had waited outside for her, greeting her with a quick hug before leading them to the hostess podium inside the brunch restaurant. Once they were seated, he found himself smiling at him, still. "I'm glad we could get together, again," he always said that when he saw her. "Not sick of me yet," he joked with the woman.

"It's still kind of unbelievable that we are living in the same place again. I can't thank you enough for letting me know about that opening at HCP Holdings," he smiled at his college best friend. "I mean, it, after things went to shit back in New York," his head shook, "I really felt like I was lost. The camping trip helped, but we both knew that would happen." Jason had long last track of the number of backpacking trips the two had embarked on over the years himself.

Moving to Kismet Harbor only a few weeks ago, this was the first time that Jason really felt like he was getting out and about. There was not much that he had been around to see yet, as Michael often reminded him. So, with a day off work and no plans, Jason took it upon himself to get out and about in Kismet Harbor. The misty weather was not something he minded, merely opting for a light rain jacket until he found cover under the arts and craft tent that was out downtown. He didn't need to buy anything, but he figured it was worth checking out. Jason was looking over a hand crafted wallet, that he placed back and turned to step back out into the flow of traffic. It was then that he almost ran someone over, "Oh, I am so sorry," he was quick to apologize, holding his hands up in a mock surrender before he realized who it was. "Wait, Amerie?" He couldn't believe his eyes, causing him to shake his head. Was it really her?

Ice cream was something Jason had a soft spot for. His cheat days were not many and ice cream was certainly something he had to be careful about indulging too much as it was a bad habit to get into. However, today, the warmth was getting to him and he was very interested in getting some ice cream. Though, it seemed a lot of other people were as well. Jason took himself to the end of the line, peering around to see how long of a wait it might be. He couldn't judge, so he began to talk to the person in front of him in line, "Busy day here, huh?"

Of course, Jason had to get a gym membership. Though he much preferred outdoor activities, he was living in Oregon and like in New York, outdoor activities were not always possible. Jason wasn't the biggest fan of running in the rain and had opted for a session on the treadmill. As he was leaving, however, he caught the door for another and a question left his lips. "Hey, sorry, uh, do you know a good place to grab dinner tonight?"

Jason had been surviving at work. There had been so much to learn starting at a new company and though he was adaptable, it was still a lot to take in. Plus, he hadn't wanted to disappoint the Hawthorne family - he never wanted to disappoint anyone but especially felt like he was still trying to make a good impression. Having texted Michael to join him, it was as he walked into the bar that he found out the other wasn't free. Instead of getting a table, he walked toward the bar, spotting an open seat. "Anyone sitting here?"

Getting acquainted with a new place of living meant that Jason had to get familiar with the local hiking trails. While he'd often consider himself an outdoorsy man, Jason had been too distracted by the beauty and intruding thoughts of the woman he met at a hiking retreat when he found himself a bit turned around. His phone, was lacking in service and Jason cursed himself. Being prepared for a hike was not something he ever slacked on and yet, he had. It wasn't until he heard the snap of a twig that he turned around, "Okay, so I'm not totally lost," he chuckled as he spoke to the arrived person, "or you're also lost and then we are both really screwed."

Jason had been visiting his friend downtown when someone mentioned that one of the vineyards in Hawthorne Hideaways was the stop of the hay ride. One didn't have to twist Jason's arm and he found himself stepping onto the trailer, plopping down on one of the hay bales, "Sorry," he apologized to the brunette he sat down next to as a few pieces of hay poked at her, "this stuff is a bit of a pain, huh?"

"Noah Sinclair, as I live and breathe," he grinned, placing a hand over his heart as if he had not seen the man in decades. In reality, it had only been a few weeks as their schedules did not seem to align all that well, even to grab drinks. "How's my sweet Eloise doing?" He always asked about Noah's daughter off the bat, whether she was with him or not. It's just what best friends did.
