Malachite's Depths 💧⛓️🔶 Kinda wish we got more insight into what a synchronized fusion of Malachite would have been like. She was instead split between her component's goals and wasn't really her own identity. Lapis bit off more than she could chew and her game of vengeance ended up backfiring. A cautionary tale, indeed. Jasper was lowkey into it all too despite her suffering, freaky little thing. If they hadn't been so spiteful and petty, they really could have just flown back to Homeworld lol.

Y'know I remember back in season 1, when Peridot, Lapis and Jasper were introduced, there was a ton of AUs where they were like, an equivalent trio of crystal gems, just like Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl. So it's kind of funny that in the end the "B team" ended up having Bismuth instead, while Jasper fucked off to go live by herself in the woods. Like, we were close, but not quite.
