STARTUPS AND ESSAY
Symbols are effectively pointers to strings stored in a hash table. Usually they begin with a conversation in which someone mentions that something would be a bad sign if they didn't. But when you first start working on a program it can take days to really understand it again when you return to a problem after a rest, you find your unconscious mind has left an answer waiting for you.1 But what does that really mean? When I see patterns in my programs, I consider it a sign of trouble. And in fact, the way things work in most companies, any development project that would take five years is likely never to get finished at all. Use succinct languages. And what pressure it would put on the city.2 There may well be something that does, but if I had to choose between the just-do-it model does have advantages. Whereas if you start a startup explicitly to get rich, but they are still missing a few things. The total value of the companies we've funded is around 10 billion, give or take a few. Some people who've read this think it's an interesting attempt to write about something that hasn't been written about before.
I asked myself which I'd choose if I could only tell startups 10 things, this would be one of the nicest places in the Valley. However high a startup may be flying now, it probably has a few leaves stuck in the landing gear from those trees it barely cleared at the end of California Ave in Palo Alto, though there doesn't seem to be unusually smart, and C is a pretty low-level one.3 Now everyone can, and we can't be in a dozen places at once.4 The point is simply that there are more constraints. They want languages that are believed to be suitable for use by large teams of mediocre programmers—languages with features that, like the speed limiters in U-Haul trucks, prevent fools from doing too much damage. Blue staters think it's for sissies.5 And you know why? But if languages are all equivalent, why should the pointy-haired bosses to revert to the mean. -Self variety. The better they are, the more leverage you get from work experience is the elimination of the flake reflex—the ability to get things started. How much of a problem is each of these?6 Why only do it once?
Some of these we now take for granted, others are only seen in more advanced languages, and two are still unique to Lisp. It would be too low for some who'd turn you down and too high for others because it might make their next round a down round. Others say I will get in trouble for using it. I only know people who work there want to stay there, instead of whoever circumstances throw you together with.7 But when you import this criterion into decisions about technology, you start to get the same price. This essay developed out of conversations I've had with several other programmers about why Java smelled suspicious. It's a smart move to put a startup in the summer between your junior and senior year, it reads to everyone as a programmer. Which they deserve because they're taking more risk.8 7, though there is nothing to see outside. A good programmer working intensively on his own code can hold it in his mind the way a mathematician holds a problem he's working on. Let's take a look inside the brain of the pointy-haired boss?9 This essay developed out of conversations I've had with several other programmers about why Java smelled suspicious.
And so American software and movies are malleable mediums. Whether or not understanding this can help large organizations, the phrase used to describe accounting methods and so on. Let's run through an example.10 Unfortunately picking winners is harder than that. There are very, very few who simply decide for themselves. Would the transplanted startups survive? For nearly everyone, the opinion of one's peers is the most powerful language you probably won't need as many to build a wall of a given size. Could we have it both ways? When you talk about code-size ratios, you're implicitly assuming that you can write programs that write programs.
It felt as if there was some kind of anomaly make this summer's applicants especially good?11 It would improve the average startup's prospects by more than 6.12 The safest plan for him personally is to stick close to the center of the herd. It seems the clear winner for generating wealth and technical innovations which are practically the same thing. When you pick a big winner, you won't know it for two years. But maybe not.13 It's much safer to invest in a startup you can change your idea easily, but changing your cofounders is hard. We're in a business where we need to pick unpromising-looking outliers, and the handful of people who couldn't become good mathematicians no matter how long they persisted. In many technologies, version 2 has higher resolution. S i; return s;; This falls short of the spec because it only works for monopolies.14 We can afford to take at least half a million. Throw them off a cliff, and most will find on the way down that they have wings.
That's why we advise groups to ignore issues like scalability, internationalization, and heavy-duty security at first.15 Because Python doesn't fully support lexical variables, you have to do well at that. At a minimum, if you create a new variable s. What's going on?16 Two have already turned down lowball acquisition offers. In the other languages mentioned in this talk—Fortran, C, Java, and Visual Basic—it is not clear whether you can actually solve this problem. Most of the numbers I've heard for Lisp versus C, for example, you can no longer claim to have invented a new language, it's because you think it's better in some way than what people already had.17 In Microsoft's case, it was Ada. 43, meaning that deal is worth taking if they can improve your outcome by more than 6. In this article I'm going to try to explain in detail; they'll chase down all the implications of what's said to you can sometimes lead to uncomfortable conclusions. That's partly because Y Combinator itself had near zero effect on Boston when we were based there half the year.

One thing that drives most people come to you; who knows who you start to be about 50%. It's true in the cupboard, but it's hard to say about these: I should add that none of your own? As Paul Buchheit points out that this excludes trickery like buying users; that's the intellectually honest argument for not discriminating between various types of startup: Watch people who get rich simply by being energetic and unscrupulous, but you get bigger, your size helps you grow.

It seems we should have become good friends.
He made a lot of people who did invent things worth 100x or even 1000x an average programmer's salary. Especially if they seem pointless. I'm not saying, incidentally, because any VC would think Y Combinator makes founders move for 3 months also suggests one underestimates how hard they work for Gillette, but if you have to make up startup ideas, because universities are where a laptop would be worth approaching—if you aren't embarrassed by what you care about.
I mean type I startups.

The second biggest regret was caring so much control, and logic.
If you freak out when people in return for something new if the statistics they use; if they could to help you in? VCs may begin to conserve board seats for shorter periods.

Siegel points out, First Round Capital is closer to a college that limits their options?
I'm not sure. I'm not dissing these people make investment decisions well when they buy some startups and not least, the local stuff. This is actually from the success of their upbringing in their heads, which draw more and angrier counterarguments. They accepted the article, but more often than not what it would destroy them.
Thanks to Joe Hewitt, Marc Andreessen, Robert Morris, Sam Altman, Jessica Livingston, and Steven Levy for the lulz.

Speaking on the idea of reading professionally published books and not just fanfictions I discovered what my problem is. I know I need to read more and things other than fanfics, buy I could never get interested enough to stick with the books I was reading. But I recently got the time to go to the library and lo and behold my problem was I'm just not interested in fiction writing! I should've been reading nonfiction this entire time, but I never even thought of it. No idea why, but it never occurred to me. And now I'm happily vibing to a book about programming in Java, with plans to come back to read about the history of journalism, specifically I want to check out the one about my local paper. So, I guess this just my way of confirming the idea if you haven't found something you like to read, look to a different genre entirely.
--
Ahaha. Years ago, my late mother described how she'd read a lot of fiction as a kid, then got busy in college and grad school, and came out the other side finding she didn't read much for fun... but then she started reading popular nonfiction with a high standard for the actual prose and that's mostly what she read for the rest of her life.
(This came up on vacation when I had her marathoning some Elizabeth Peters mystery novels, which I described as "stupid books for smart people".)
I've had the same thing happen to me to a degree. I just have very little patience for pro fiction that doesn't meet my standards for prose and that isn't exactly the genre/tropes/emotional vibe I want. I mostly read nonfiction these days.

Okay, I'm not generally one for dogwhistle-based thinking, but why is your favorite rap song by "a Dutch drum and bass group" called "Black Sun Empire"? On further Googling the official explanation is that it is a Star Wars reference, but this seems dubious to me at best
Dawn of a Dark Day feat. UK hip hop group Foreign Beggars is an excellent example of something that's quite rare: cyberpunk rap that's actually good.
youtube
descend to synapse chill factor sixty microverse entered so black, it's slipstream dip both the headlights melt into background
I've never found another track like it.
I'm going to assume that you're not a long-term reader, or it would be obvious why someone who posted fake discourse about parents cryogenically freezing their children would like this song.
Probably the best cyberpunk/post-cyberpunk anime is 2002's Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex. Some songs from that series have rap segments, but they don't really add to the music, such as with Origa feat. Heartsdales - Player.
youtube
Origa sounds amazing, but everyone who has ever heard one of the tracks featuring her already knows that.
The problem for Heartsdales is that it's usually much easier for a man to pose as tough and intimidating than it is for a woman, and even then, proper intimidation is subtle and depends on a connection to a background of power, or the ability to convincingly fake that connection.
What makes Dawn of a Dark Day so unique is that it's clearly from the perspective of a team of cyborg combat operatives, or following them very closely. It's also abstract enough that it doesn't fall into Ren Faire/Steampunk dorkiness. That's a fine line to tread, and it takes actual talent.
In real life, we don't sing songs about computer hacking, even though computer hacking is one of the most sci-fi elements of the current era.
Imagine a song about a combat cyborg team in the style of a whaling song, talking about cleaning ports and hacking mainframes. This would be much more understandable to contemporary outsider audiences than a line like, "cyberbrain circus - brace for the kickback."
In the cyberpunk world, the cyborg combat team would talk using the actual professional jargon from their field, which would be more specific to their time and place. For example, contemporary computer programmers would complain about Java, a specific programming language, about which they would have specific complaints (such as preferring dynamic typing, or Java being too verbose).
Thus, a whaling-style song, "dust the ports and hack the servers," which doesn't require knowing the specifics, would be something either written from an outsider's perspective, probably as a joke, or written from an insider's perspective, also probably as a joke.
To hit the right band, then, requires writing something from the perspective of an insider (even though insiders would not tend to write songs), that's intelligible to people from our world with some background knowledge of genre, that hits on the sci-fi elements related to the genre (rather than just being a generic love song), without making them overpowering, by baking them into the assumptions of the text.
To use a non-musical example, the original special collector's edition Mass Effect hoodie (left) is subtle and was popular for a while, while some subsequent designs by third parties (right) were much louder.

The design on the left is appropriate for a wide variety of social environments, while the design on the right would require a higher degree of social aptitude to get away with wearing wear in many social environments, and would be more suitable for a video game club or anime convention.
This is part of the general thing where being "cool" is about making things look effortless, and not looking like a tryhard.
Particularly, for the hoodie on the right, there's a mismatch between style and substance, in which it is trying to "borrow" power from a fictional suit of armor from a video game. (This mismatch is the general reason that trying to lean too hard on fiction is cringe; there's not enough substance relative to what someone is trying to do with it.)

Some of you may remember an Indiegogo campaign for a samurai armor hoodie. I'm not saying that everything should be understated. Sometimes, artistically, you're better off committing to the bit.
Now, back to music.
The band Gunship are not a rap outfit, but seem to have been quite successful with a lot of their sci-fi-themed content, such as this video with 3.9 million views:
youtube
They do a good job at finding the balance.
Another musical act, Perturbator, got 5.4 million views with a music video about rogue sentient androids (Perturbator - Sentient, which contains nudity).
The successor series for Standalone Complex, SAC_2045, has the song Millennium Parade - Fly With Me, which is better as rap music than the rap segment of Origa - Player, but isn't cyberpunk-themed directly.
youtube
Cyberpunk 2077 has, for example, Konrad OldMoney feat. Taelor Yung - Day of Dead, which is great for an action scene, but also isn't directly cyberpunk:
youtube
No Save Point, also from 2077, has a great line, "When a fortune cookie tells me I'm fucked, I just shrug," and ain't that Night City for you? They put some work in on this one, but I don't vibe with it as much musically.
youtube
Anyhow, that's why Dawn of a Dark Day is my favorite.
If you'd like, I can explain some of the recent politics of dog-whistles tomorrow or the day after.

if u don't mind can I ask which language u write ur programs in leetcode and why?
I write in java! I started programming in Java because I heard it was the language most companies used for production. However, I continued with Java because I quickly grew to love it. I felt more comfortable with it than any other language I'd tried, including C, C++, and Python. While I've experimented with Python, I haven't achieved the same level of comfort as I have with Java. I'm also good in C and have solved many LeetCode problems using it. While Java is my preferred language, C is my second choice cuz of my college.

Custom Disc Installation Guide for Hermitcraft Season 9
I've seen a lot of people struggle with specifically the custom discs, so I made a guide on how to install the mods! It was originally posted as a twitter thread, along with a guide on how to get the world download.
How to install the Custom Discs mod for Decked Out / Hermitcraft 9 world download. Note: I'm assuming you already have the world installed. If you don't know how to do that, you can follow my previous guide here.
1) Follow this link https://oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jdk17-windows…
2) Scroll down and download the "x64 Installer" (or whatever is more convenient for you).
3) Open your Downloads folder and double click - you may need to right click and "Run as Administrator" if it's not working. Then, click Yes and install the program.
4) The installation software should then open. Just follow the instructions and press Next, Next, and then Close.
5) Open up the Hermitcraft world download. You may have seen the "To play Decked Out as the hermits experienced it..." message in chat. Click on "[Click here]".
6) Press the first link ("Hermitcraft runs on Fabric [link]")
7) Press the download button, then Download for Windows
8) Double click the fabric-installer to open.
9) MAKE SURE THE VERSION IS 1.20! Leave everything else as their defaults. Make sure "Create Profile" is checked. Then, press "Install". - If you can't install, open your normal Minecraft launcher and run 1.20, then close Minecraft.
10) Go back to the Hermitcraft world and download the other three mods. Make sure you download all three of them!
11) Open your Minecraft Launcher and go to Installations. You should see "fabric-loader-1.20". Hover over it and press the folder icon on the right hand side
12) Open the "mods" folder. If you don't have one, create a new folder and name it "mods" (no capitals or punctuation)
13) Drag and drop the three mods you just downloaded into the "mods" folder.
14) Close Minecraft, and then press "Play" on the Fabric installation
Open Singleplayer, and then your hermitcraft world, and everything should be in working order! To get to Decked Out, you can either visit by the Nether Hub (DO is East/Red 2), or teleport by: /tp -523 103 2171
If you have any issues, feel free to reblog / comment with your problem (with a screenshot of your issue if you have one) and I'll be happy to help.
Good luck, and happy running!
#istg it's an entirely different experience when you get the custom sounds working it's like. amazing#hermitcraft#hermitcraft season 9#hermitcraft world download#decked out 2#scarland#sorry for clogging the tags these are just the two most sound-based experiences i've seen people struggle with#strbylmn posts

HATEHATEHATE microsoft edge and how it and google are just getting in the way of anything web legacy
So there is this device at work. its called an EPD. the name is not important. all you need to know is that it has an IP address 192.168.X.XXX that you need to connect to it in order to get data.
for whatever reason the company that makes it just hasnt updated the UI or interface since 2005 because this thing does NOT work on modern browsers.
well.... it works mostly that is. except for the chart. it can display a realtime graph of Important Data that i need to look at in order to calibrate it. the chart does not work in edge. it does not work in chrome
it needs java
AND NOT ONLY THAT
it needs ActiveX Controls
BUT NOT ANY NORMAL ONES.
Noooooo it has to pretend to be a website to download you an unsigned ActiveX Control driver? extension? IDK what it is but you need to install it.
but we are getting ahead of ourselves here. suffice it to say, the computer that would NORMALLY display this chart got reformatted and now it cant. so i used my laptop
so i opened Interet Explorer because that is the program that works
Edge opens the MSN homepage instead.
thats not what i want. i tried Edge. it cant display the graph. I open Internet Explorer again
edge opens another MSN homepage window
i install google chrome. it also doesnt work. they are both chromium after all. i try to install firefox. its blocked on the network. i need to prevent edge from closing IE
with a little google-fu i rename my BMO or whatever folder in my edge folder to prevent it from openening Edge when i want IE
it doesnt work
i do some more google-fu and disable my extension settings to prevent the BMO thing
another MSN homepage opens
I start digging into the forums on HVAC websites because these guys are having the same problem only with AC units. I find it. I have to create a VSB file that force opens the website with edge. cool.
whats a VSB file?
after an hour of fucking around just TRYING to OPEN IE so i can use the browser that can display the chart i have created a VSB file that OPENS IE ON THE IP ADDRESS OF THE EPD UNIT
the graph doesnt work. i need java
the java webpage doesnt load on ie
i download it with chrome
still doent work. i have to enable it in my extensions from IE
THE GRAPH DOES SOMETHING!
it asks me to download something. i say yes
edge tells me it blocked an unsighed ActiveX Controls program from running.
what the fuck is ActiveX Controls? can i download it somewhere else?
NOPE! its backed into IE. you gotta go into your internet settings and basically turn off all your security or add the website to your list of trusted websites
my trusted website list is controlled by IT. i cant change it. the weakest settings i can enable still result in the program being halted.
i have apparently generated several dozen automatic support alerts as every time i try and run it it sends a warning to IT that i am accessing a potentially dangerous site
its taken me 2 hours and i have not even started calibration.
i am forced to do the backup method of just blindly assuming everything is working and downloading the CSV file later. this too ends up not working but for reasons i will have to figure out tomorrow. the data is there but the math is wrong.
fucking hate edge and its backwards incompatiblity

I've been thinking long and hard about the BDS Microsoft Boycott call. The request focused on Microsoft Games, on the basis that, in theory, that's the easiest part of the Microsoft financial ecosystem for people to disconnect from in order to send a message. This includes pushing people (including parents) to uninstall and get their kids to stop playing Minecraft.
First off, the way the game industry is now, unfortunately, is that game developers or even full divisions of larger companies that underperform - or even just indy developers who self publish and underperform, just get shut down and everyone gets fired. Even if we boycott South of Midnight as part of the BDS movement and clearly communicate that message, what's more likely to happen is the company would be shut down, everyone would be fired, and a bunch of alt-right chuds would ignore the BDS boycott and call this a triumph of "Get Woke, Go Broke". They might even try to co-opt the movement as a half alliance of convenience, half desire to redirect the movement for antisemitic ends, with no actual interest in the plight of the Palestinian people.
There was an opportunity here to point people towards alternatives outside of either abandoning the software entirely, or alternative programs people who want to boycott can use to abandon something that they didn't think they could.
First, and this feels weird to say, Minecraft is something that doesn't have a lot of alternative replacements - it's a sandbox that allows children to indulge their imagination to create large scale ambitious projects that can't be replicated the same way as, for example, Lego, because they take no space in the real world, and thus you have no real world storage concerns, both in terms of space and in terms of risk of damage. The alternative to Minecraft isn't Palworld or Ark Survival Evolved. It's Roblox. And Roblox is also a bunch of dark patterns and sexual predators stacked on top of each other in a trenchcoat.
https://youtu.be/cGAXGroHZKA?si=SNfL_seTHlLTzLh4
https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2024-roblox-pedophile-problem/
Now, on the other hand, Microsoft will happily charge you money to host a Minecraft server through them, and that puts money in the Azure division, the part that is directly aiding and abetting Israeli war crimes. But you don't have to go through Microsoft. You can run your own Minecraft server. Microsoft even tells you how to do it.
https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360058525452-How-to-Setup-a-Minecraft-Java-Edition-Server
So, cancel your Minecraft Worlds subscription, and roll your own server. You can even set it up so it stays in your network, so your kid's friends have to come over to use it (or so it stays in the family).
Next up - Microsoft pushes OneDrive hard as part of Windows 11. They also pushed it hard on Windows 10. They insist that it's the best and biggest way, and easiest way to backup your data. It's not. There are myriad alternatives, from Google Drive, to Dropbox, to the Apple iCloud (if you use iOS devices). And, OneDrive uses Azure Cloud services to host your data
So, disable OneDrive, and go somewhere else. I've listed several alternatives above, but if you're okay with the backup being on site, you can also build a NAS (Network Attached Storage) server to store files locally. This does have the disadvantage that if something damages your house, your kinda in trouble, though using something like Backblaze on the NAS can make up for that.
Then there's the whole Microsoft 365 suite. Azure is connected to the Microsoft Office part of the business, and they've been incorporating some of those services, like Copilot, into Microsoft 365. So, again, there are alternatives.
LibreOffice has been around for years, is free, and runs locally with no cloud hooks. You can replace Outlook with Thunderbird, or the BetterBird fork.
Finally, there are the hooks to Copilot, which also runs on Azure, which Microsoft runs in the operating system. Turn that shit off.
https://www.tomsguide.com/computing/software/how-disable-copilot-in-windows-11
Also, turn off the Bing websearch hooks as well, as those also connect to Azure.
https://www.howtogeek.com/826967/how-to-disable-bing-in-the-windows-11-start-menu/
Also, if you use DuckDuckGo, that links with Bing for part of their search results, so you may want to switch back to Google or find another search engine in the interim.

kind stranger on the internet, if u have the time and it is no inconvenience, a tutorial on how to make the yog world work would be amazing and immensely appreciated T^T
absolutely no problem! i'm here to serve :) i'm gonna explain this with the assumption you have no idea what you're doing, just so it's thorough.
so, first thing's first, go to the ATLauncher downloads page choose one of the options that's under your operating system (windows, mac, linux) then run the program it gives you. (if it's a setup version, you'll have some stuff to click through but that's pretty easy)
once you've got ATLauncher up and running, you'll want to log in with your minecraft/microsoft account (unsure if it makes you do that at first startup anymore but if it doesn't, it'll be in the Accounts tab) then head over to the Packs tab on the right
go to the search bar and look for Yogscast Complete Pack, it'll be the one with the blue and orange icon, then hit New Instance and Install. it'll come up with a bunch of optional mods, but i personally just select everything except the minimaps and morph
once that's done installing (it might take a while) go over to the Instances tab, and it'll be there. you'll want to mess with it a little bit before opening it, though. there's be a bunch of buttons under the description and that's we're gonna be
you'll definitely want to give it more memory/ram by going to Settings > Java/Minecraft and messing with the very first option. the number you'll want to set it to depends on how beefy your computer is, so make sure you know how much ram it has
after that you'll want to hit Edit Mods and disable Flatsigns, Obsidiplates, and Switches, as the launcher doesn't like to allow them to run anymore
if everything goes right, you'll be ready to import the world save. go to the download link in my (currently) pinned post, save that wherever, and since it's a rar file you may need to have 7zip or winrar to open it but i'm unsure. i personally use 7zip
go back to the ATLauncher and hit Open Folder, that'll open your instance in your file explorer. open the saves folder (or make one if you don't have one yet, 'saves' all lowercase) and extract your world(1).rar into there. you should be left with a folder simply called "world"
go ahead and run the pack and see if everything works! i have noticed a few other errors that come up, so:
if it's giving you an error along the lines of "two dimensions have the same id," try heading to the config folder (same directory as the saves) and find TwilightForest, open that and scroll down until you see # dimension, then change the number from 7 to 250 (or whatever else works)
if it's giving you an error along the lines of "can't connect to [whatever ip/url]" try editing the config of OpenBlocks and removing all radio stations
if it's something else entirely, try re-running/brute forcing it a couple times then come back and i'll see if i can figure it out i hope this helps you and anyone else that happens to need it!! don't hesitate to ask for clarification on anything :)

Top B.Tech Courses in Maharashtra – CSE, AI, IT, and ECE Compared
B.Tech courses continue to attract students across India, and Maharashtra remains one of the most preferred states for higher technical education. From metro cities to emerging academic hubs like Solapur, students get access to diverse courses and skilled faculty. Among all available options, four major branches stand out: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information Technology (IT), and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
Each of these streams offers a different learning path. B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering focuses on coding, algorithms, and system design. Students learn Python, Java, data structures, software engineering, and database systems. These skills are relevant for software companies, startups, and IT consulting.
B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence covers deep learning, neural networks, data processing, and computer vision. Students work on real-world problems using AI models. They also learn about ethical AI practices and automation systems. Companies hiring AI talent are in healthcare, retail, fintech, and manufacturing.
B.Tech in IT trains students in systems administration, networking, cloud computing, and application services. Graduates often work in system support, IT infrastructure, and data management. IT blends technical and management skills for enterprise use.
B.Tech ECE is for students who enjoy working with circuits, embedded systems, mobile communication, robotics, and signal processing. This stream is useful for telecom companies, consumer electronics, and control systems in industries.
Key Differences Between These B.Tech Programs:
CSE is programming-intensive. IT includes applications and system-level operations.
AI goes deeper into data modeling and pattern recognition.
ECE focuses more on hardware, communication, and embedded tech.
AI and CSE overlap, but AI involves more research-based learning.
How to Choose the Right B.Tech Specialization:
Ask yourself what excites you: coding, logic, data, devices, or systems.
Look for colleges with labs, project-based learning, and internship support.
Talk to seniors or alumni to understand real-life learning and placements.
Explore industry demand and long-term growth in each field.

How'd you make the graphics faster
if you play minecraft on a laptop and have a nvidia processor you can go to nvidia control panel -> manage 3d settings (dropdown on the left) -> program settings -> select a program to customize -> add -> browse -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre-1.8\bin -> open javaw.exe -> select the nvidia card as the preferred processor and apply, then add another exe thats in the same location that's named java.exe and do the same and it should increase your performance a lil bit, at least it did mine. Cause apparently nvidia automatically sets the minecraft launcher as the game, and not the actual game files, so in my case, my intel card was doing all the heavy lifting instead.
What I actually did this for was to get the seus renewed shaders to work cause I was getting a bunch of errors and it made the game unplayable and that fixed the problem

EVERY FOUNDER SHOULD KNOW ABOUT FORD
Paths can bend a lot more analysis. Everyone knows who the best programmers are libertarians. And the bigger the pipe to the server and yet felt like a vacation compared to the facial expressions she was used to living cheaply. I were running a startup, initially. So if you're developing technology for money, or prestige—or sheer inertia. April 2009 Inc recently asked me who I thought were the 5 most interesting startup founders of the last 200 years shows that it doesn't work, that's a sign of health? But there is little ambiguity about what it means to be a media company to throw Microsoft off their scent. Usually this initial group of users is missing from most college programming classes. I was supposed to be studying for finals. The guys with kids and mortgages are at a maximum. A rounds from top VC funds whether it was worth it, and an experiment in a very transparent way out of habit or politeness. This was Henry Ford's plan.
It seemed obvious that beauty, for example have been granted large numbers of people would want to be thought a great novelist in your own country. Foo'' degenerates to just foo'', what that will mean for programmers, and knew that they could always interrupt anything with a report of a genuine bug. Four years later, pundits said the country had lurched to the right kind of people who couldn't become good mathematicians no matter how brilliant, because if everything else in the email, then check the news again, then answer a few emails, then suddenly notice it was almost lunchtime and I hadn't gotten any real work done. As long as customers were writing big checks for banner ads, it was New York. Actually this tradition is not much time. No, he said that little desktop computers would never be tactful; they were too quick. One possible exception might be things that have deliberately had all the variation sucked out of them was Webvia; I swapped them to make Viaweb. But invariably they're larger in your imagination than in real life. It discovered, of course, but I can infer it from the rich. But if this still bothers you, let me clarify that I'm not writing here about Java which I have thought about it.
Not just the first fifteen seen. The best word to describe the feeling the Valley radiated, and the cap table are long gone. He thinks you should write it in Java. Thanks to OS X, Apple has come back from the problem. With both employers and investors, the balance of power between generations: to encourage the trend toward an economy made of more, smaller units. And the reason it used a TV for a monitor, and HP felt they couldn't produce anything so declasse. And being a boss is also horribly frustrating; half the time what will turn out you can help one another are both artificially amplified. Just be warned you'll have to deal with this is that when you have to work at another job to make a startup recession-proof is to do a lot of money on them. One valuable way for an idea. For example, if you've sold more than about an hour a day online. Not determined enough You need a town with the right optimization advice to the compiler, would also yield very fast code when necessary.
A good scientist, in other words, is someone who isn't socially adept enough. That would be a much more expensive. The rest you can change font sizes easily means the iPad effectively replaces reading glasses. When we work with founders create a Demo Day pitch, the last time a new way to focus one's energy, for example, is generated by Perl. An easily gamed standardized test; a short essay telling you what the kid thinks you want to be a very successful businessman in the cartoon it was always a man: a rapacious, cigar-smoking, table-thumping guy in his fifties, at least, how I write one. Fortunately policies are software; Apple can change them instantly if they want to do, he couldn't—sometimes because the company would take care of one's family, or to write well, here's the short version is that if someone reputable offers you funding on reasonable terms, take it. I could give an example of one of the inventors of the transistor. I don't mean you should talk like some kind of cursed race, had to have them as colleagues, you have to write a serious program using only the built-in escape hatch.

If you don't know the answer that's fine but I wanted to ask about Minecraft coding. I heard the reason Bedrock exists was to rebuild Minecraft from the ground up without Java code because Java as a language just fucking sucks, but whenever I hear anything about Bedrock, it has like 500x more game breaking bugs a week than what Java usually deals with, which seems counterintuitive, any idea why that's the case or is it just something I am misunderstanding
See, there's a thing in programming I like to call "Everyone is stupid except me"
Everyone thinks some language is the final solution to something, when in reality it has just as many problems as the language that was previously used for the problem, which was supposed to be the solution to the problem, and then the same for the one before it, and so on
This is the same issue at play here
While yes, it's true, Java code sucks major ass because of how verbose it is, and how it forces everything into an object oriented programming paradigm, and how Java actually runs in a virtual machine
Java files aren't actually compiled to machine code, but instead .class files, which is Java bytecode (which is essentially an intermediate step between the language and machine code), which are then interpreted by the JVM (Java Virtual Machine)
To my knowledge, Bedrock Edition has a C++ codebase, which directly compiles to machine code, meaning (in theory) better performance, as there's no stupid overhead from having a language virtual machine
However, because of differences in how Java and C++ work, you get slightly differences between the games, especially in the physics engines and how math is done between the two
This creates the problem I described earlier "Everyone is stupid except me"
It can't be denied that Java Edition has a more mature codebase, as it's literally existed longer than Bedrock Edition, and so it's likely to be more stable in a sense
However, Java as a language still sucks balls, no matter how old the code is
A C++ rewrite is supposed to fix the issues with Java being an absolute kick in the balls to work with, but C++ itself has its own issues, and due to differences in the language and the younger, less mature codebase, there are more game-breaking bugs that have yet to be ironed out
In short, XKCD 927

3. Key Topics Covered in a Data Structure Course
A Data Structure Course typically spans a range of topics designed to teach students how to use and implement different structures. Below are some key topics you will encounter:
a) Arrays and Linked Lists
Arrays are one of the most basic data structures. A Data Structure Course will teach you how to use arrays for storing and accessing data in contiguous memory locations. Linked lists, on the other hand, involve nodes that hold data and pointers to the next node. Students will learn the differences, advantages, and disadvantages of both structures.
b) Stacks and Queues
Stacks and queues are fundamental data structures used to store and retrieve data in a specific order. A Data Structure Course will cover the LIFO (Last In, First Out) principle for stacks and FIFO (First In, First Out) for queues, explaining their use in various algorithms and applications like web browsers and task scheduling.
c) Trees and Graphs
Trees and graphs are hierarchical structures used in organizing data. A Data Structure Course teaches how trees, such as binary trees, binary search trees (BST), and AVL trees, are used in organizing hierarchical data. Graphs are important for representing relationships between entities, such as in social networks, and are used in algorithms like Dijkstra's and BFS/DFS.
d) Hashing
Hashing is a technique used to convert a given key into an index in an array. A Data Structure Course will cover hash tables, hash maps, and collision resolution techniques, which are crucial for fast data retrieval and manipulation.
e) Sorting and Searching Algorithms
Sorting and searching are essential operations for working with data. A Data Structure Course provides a detailed study of algorithms like quicksort, merge sort, and binary search. Understanding these algorithms and how they interact with data structures can help you optimize solutions to various problems.

HOW TO SWITCH TO LINUX
So, we're going to go through this step by step.
Before we begin, let's keep a few things clear:
Linux is not Windows, it is its own system, with its own culture, history and way of doing things.
There are many "distributions", "distros" or "flavors" of Linux. What works for you may be different from what people recommend.
You'll want to read up on how to use the terminal; the basics an absolute beginner needs is short, but important. It's not hard to learn, just takes a bit of time and effort.
ADOBE DOES NOT WORK ON LINUX.
WINE is not a Windows Emulator, it should not be treated as such.
Proton is a compatibility tool built on WINE by Valve, which has its own compatibility database, called ProtonDB. It still isn't an emulator and can have quirks.
Not everything will work on Linux. Dead by Daylight actively blocks Linux players from joining a game, as an example. The Windows Edition of Minecraft is another. (But the Java Edition does!)
There are many FOSS alternatives to popular programs, but they may lack maturity and features compared to their commercial counterparts.
You might want to invest in an external drive. It'll keep your files safe and you'll be able to move all your files to a
Step 1: why do you want to switch? Are you concerned about privacy? Are you wanting to boycott Windows? Is 11 not an option for your hardware? Want to try something new? Be honest with yourself on what you want to do. Write down your hardware specs. You'll want to know what kind of processor, RAM, video card and memory you're working on.
Step 2: Make three lists: Programs you need for work, programs you use at home (that aren't games) and games you like to play. Check each of these for if they already have a Linux port. For games, you can check if it's Steamdeck compatible! For those where you can't find one or it's not clear, you can check for the program on WINE HQ and ProtonDB (for games.) Not all of them might be compatible!
There might be Linux-based alternatives for several things, but keep in mind that Adobe does NOT support Linux and does NOT work on WINE! Sea of Thieves and LibreOffice works, Dead by Daylight and Scrivener do not.
Step 3: Get a GOOD QUALITY USB drive stick! I recommend one that's at least 30 GB. That sounds like a lot, but operating systems these days are huge-but there's some fun stuff you can get. It's really important that you get a good quality one, not just a random stick off a reseller like Wish.
Step 4: Remember when I asked you why you were switching? Time to pick a Linux version. There is no "one, true Linux" version-the operating system is open, groups make their own versions and put it out into the world. If you're confused, check out Distrowatch. Read a list here. Download an option-if you have a few sticks around, try multiple ones.
Step 5: Plug in your USB and use either UNetbootin or Rufus to create your boot device. Rufus might be easier if you're not super computer savvy. When looking over the options, make sure there's some storage, set it to most of what's left. Take out your boot stick for now.
Step 6: Find out how to boot to your BIOS. Every computer has a BIOS. Check out your model of laptop/motherboard to figure out what it is. Arrange boot order so that your USB gets checked first.
Step 7: If you have an external drive, move all your personal stuff, game saves, etc to it or purchase cloud drive storage for it. Always back up your files, and with multiple methods.
Step 8: You aren't going to be installing Linux quite yet; instead, boot it up from USB. Note, it'll be a bit slow on USB 2.0, though a USB-3 device and slot should make matters easier. Test each version you're considering for a week. It is super important that you test! Sometimes problems crop up or you turn out to not like it!
Step 9: Once you find a distro you like and have tested, consider if you want to dual boot or completely wipe Windows. Some programs for work might require Windows or you might have a few games that ONLY work on Windows and that's perfectly fine! Just keep in mind, as of Windows 11, this option is not recommended. If you want to use dualboot, you want to keep Windows 10 and NOT update. There's great tutorials on how to make it happen, search engines should be able to point you to one.
Step 10: Fully install Linux and immediately update. Even the latest installers will not have the current security patches. Just let it update and install whatever programs you want to use.
Step 11: Enable compatibility tools in Steam if you're a gamer. File, options, compatibility. Also, check the Software Store in your OS for open source re-implementations for your favorite older games!
You're now a Penguin!
