Finished work. Bought a javanilla cookie as reward. Spilled the drink (not even a sip was consumed). Wiped the floor. Sang the capybara song (or is it kape-bara? i'll see myself out). Settled for instant coffee. Fought the final boss. Played til 1am. Thumbs weak. Slept. Woke up 4am. Played.
God slain! Thumbs shaking!
Time for work. The real life grind. But my colleagues will never know nor care that they're interacting with a Lord of Frenzied Flame.
And damn it! In my excitement, I forgot to screenshot the god slain text!

Kemarin waktu pulang Tuban nyobain beberapa tempat makan baru, salah satunya Grand Javanilla. Bumbunya bikin nagih walaupun a bit too sweet for me. Anyway, congratulations for the opening @grandjavanilla! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 . . #lvnplate . 📍 Grand Javanilla Jl. M. Food Bliss Reviews: Seattle’s Best Coffee Series #2
Tumblr media
For a person with an empty stomach, there's no more delightful treat than a delicious and mouth-watering meal while sitting in a comfy chair in front o a pleasant table. Whenever we are stressed or simply hungry and thirsty, we always look for a decent place and a restaurant to eat. Cleanliness, ambiance and especially the taste of the food they serve seems the common standard for most people. It has been a long time since the last time I visited a restaurant or a café, so this time, I am looking for something special and expecting to try something new which I haven't experienced before.
In search for a good restaurant, we traveled to different areas across Valenzuela and finally found a place with several food-serving shops and establishments, the Town Center. As we enter the place, we gazed and stop by in various restaurants and see their menu to find a place to eat with an agreeable price. After almost half an hour, our wandering took us to Seattle's Best Coffee. It is my first time entering the place and I am expecting to leave with a smile and satisfaction.
From the outside, you could observe the ideal location of the café as it is in the direct front where potential customers walks by. Through the clear glass windows, anyone could gaze the inside details especially its menu where different prices are clearly indicated. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting; the fresh and delightful aroma of a newly brewed coffee and the pleasant smell of freshly baked food and pastries. By that, you would already enjoy the place even before tasting their eye-worthy offerings. The chairs are soft and very comfortable as you sit settled, it was orderly organize and neat where customers could easily move without bothering those in your way, in front of chairs are tables that comes with different sizes ideal enough to hold the volume of your meal. The floorboard is patterned light wood which improved the setting and appearance of the café. A relaxing selection of both contemporary and old music will please your ears and will surely add up to the cozy feels of the entire place. CCTVs are present on each corner of the café to add security and safety for all their customers.
Tumblr media
Few people were present eating on the café mostly due to the time we went. We chose our table and walked through the counter and ordered a drink and pastry present on their menu. The minimum amount of money you need to have for a pastry was P75 and P110 for the drink. But I suggest you to have at least P300 so you could really enjoy and make the most of your stay. For only P110 we bought a Filipino dessert cake called Sans rival which is a three-layered creamy pastry with a mix of crunch and chewy texture and has a sprinkled cashew nuts of top, it has a milky taste that will burst into mouth the moment you try it. For a drink cost P175, we are able to buy a vanilla milk tea, it was a cold and refreshing drink that will surely satisfy your thirst, its creamy vanilla flavor will make you sip even more. Overall, I am very satisfied with their food offerings and the price was reasonable.
Tumblr media
On the interview part, we never really got a chance to meet and personally talk to their manager as she was busy working so we approached the staffs but they were not really able to accommodate us well as they have their respective duties. At the end, we just requested to hand the questionnaire to the manager and answer it any time she wants. We stayed there for a couple of time and finally had the answers.
Seattle's Best Coffee is a subsidiary company of Starbucks and is a specialty coffee retailer and a wholesaler originally based in Seattle, Washington, USA which was founded in 1970 by James and Dave Stewart. At first, it is an ice cream and coffee shop formerly known as Wet Whisker. The brother's talent in brewing coffee had made this business possible.  They use green coffee beans from local growers. In just one year they have another ice cream and coffee shop on Seattle’s Pier 70 called the Stewart Brothers’ Wet Whisker. The backbone of their business rooted here, when they began to serve espresso and other brews from their love of coffee. In the year 90s, there was a coffee-tasting competition to look for “the best cup of coffee in Seattle” which was held by a local restaurant. They joined the competition and presented the best brewed coffee they has to offer and luckily they won. Seattle’s Best Coffee started in the Philippines in the year 1999 and Mr. Frederick T. Siy was the franchise owner. They continued the legacy of the two brothers and promised to give their customers the best coffee they could experience.
Seattle's Best Coffee specializes and offers various types of fresh meals; particularly breakfast meals, pasta, panini and sandwiches also including their freshly brewed coffee, tea and pastries. They specialized for fresh coffee based drinks called javakula or cold coffee. Included in their drinks are javanilla, milk shakes, black and white mocha with their meals for breakfast. The bestseller of this café is their newly made coffees that comes in smooth and bold flavors, it also has a specified measurement and unique appearance that can surely satisfy one's cravings.
Overall, I recommend this.café to those who loves to try and experiment to taste various types and flavours of coffee and also to those who likes desserts and simply relax with the ambiance of the place. For improvement, I must say that the staffs should be more accommodating and easily approachable. It is also a good thing the they made us fill up a comment card to express what we felt on the service and products they offer on the café. Will I come back? Yes, especially with family and friends.

Food Bliss Reviews: Seattle’s Best Coffee Series #1
Tumblr media
When it comes to food trip, Valenzuela City is a great site to travel. You will never run out of food choices for, almost everywhere you go; there are countless of food businesses continuing to expand. There are fast-food chains, food stalls, food parks, street vendors, cafés, restaurants and other various shops and establishments offering food. They are also available all year round and offer many products that will sure to answer your thirst and hunger. It would be so hard to pick which area of Valenzuela to eat. Now, the challenge for me and my classmates is to look for a nice restaurant where our expectations will be meet. And where will that area be? The People’s Park seems a fine place to start, so off we went. After wandering for minutes looking for a good spot to stay, we stumbled upon the café called Seattle’s Best Coffee. Neither I nor my friends have ventured in this place. There is a first time to everything so we decided to try it and see what we can find.
The café has transparent windows so you can gaze inside. You can see their menu clearly and the tables and chairs. They select a very neat location and it is convenient for many potential customers could see them. Upon entering Seattle’s Best Coffee, you are greeted with the pleasing aroma of freshly-brewed coffee and newly-baked pastries. It kind of reminds me of donut shops and bakeries. The floorboards are all made up of wood. They have steel chairs and tables that are painted to look like wood and they also have couches to sit on. The place itself resembles the dining places of America and sets the mood into the 70s between to 90s that has been modernized. They play modern, soothing music in acoustic, instrumentals and cover versions of the original songs. There are also CCTV cameras spread in the corners of the restaurant for security purposes. You will definitely feel cozy and at home here. Staying here is the same as being lost in another world and you will lose track of the time but don’t worry!  You can stay here as long as you like when you buy their products (and for as long as the café is still open). Most of the people sitting here are businessmen and people who wanted to find a cool place to stop and chill for a bit. The crew’s service is slightly slow and they do not smile much to the customers when you order. Well, maybe it’s because of the stress?
Tumblr media
Anyway, after they prepared your order, they will call your name to get it (which they asked when you order).  They do not deliver the items to your tables instead you should do it yourself. They seem to promote self-service just like other restaurants where you are the one to fetch the  condiments and your other needs. They also value the consumers so the staffs hand over survey papers to know what are their reactions, thoughts, comments and suggestions about the café. Another thing is that they have pamphlets near their counter which you can read and take home with you.  And, they also deliver your favourite drinks right at your doorstep! How cool it that?
Tumblr media
While were here, why not try some of their products? You must have at least a budget of 500 pesos if you want to grab their proudly-made products. We went to the counter and we bought a vanilla milkshake and sansrival (a Filipino dessert cake made of layers of buttercream, meringue and chopped cashews) and shared with each other. First sip in the milkshake and you can already feel the creamy and milky texture of the drink. It tasted like melted vanilla ice cream and the sweetness stays in your mouth. The price P175 is worth it for me. Now, the sansrival is a three-layered cold, creamy, sweet, crunchy and chewy dessert. The cashew nuts add to the texture of the food. It will surely satisfy anyone who has a sweet tooth only the price is not that worth it because of its small size.
To complete our experience, we, students, agreed to ask some questions about their reputed Seattle’s Best Coffee. Sadly, we did not get the chance to glimpse and talk personally with the manager nor getting pictures form him or her. The staff didn’t even tell us what his or her name is. We aren’t allowed to take pictures of their staff and the restaurant itself. But, they did ask us to write the questions on a sheet of paper and then the manager answered some of it.
The story of Seattle’s Best Coffee started in 1970. The brothers Jim and Dave Stewart began to open their first business - an ice cream and coffee shop named Wet Whisker - on Whidbey Island, northwest of Seattle, Washington. The brothers have a talent for brewing coffee that their shop quickly outgrew their little peanut roaster. The brothers joined the competition and present their best brew they have done, their boldest and smoothest blend coffee. They won and after that they renamed their shop into “Seattle’s Best Coffee” and the brothers expand their business across the globe and using only the finest Arabica beans in brewing their coffees. In the Philippines, year 1999, the first Seattle’s Best Coffee was ever established. The franchisee owner is Frederick T. Siy. Now, the Coffee Masters Inc. continued the legacy and the promise of the Stewart brothers which is to give nothing but the best to their customers.
The Seattle’s Best Coffee specialized in preparing various fresh meals; particularly breakfast meals, pasta, paninis (a sandwich made with Italian bread, usually toasted) and sandwiches. They also offer fresh coffee, tea and pastries. Their best selling product are fresh coffee based drinks, especially their Javakula or cold coffee. Other items that their customers keep coming back for are Javanilla, milkshakes, black and white mocha, and their breakfast meals. They are unique from other cafés and restaurants because aside from their freshly made coffee that comes with a smooth and bold flavour, their food and drinks have a special specified measurement and appearance that looks more delicious and that will satisfy your cravings.
Seattle’s Best Coffee has a lot of room for improvement. They can add more selection to their food. They can serve different cakes, donuts, and other pastries. Mixing in some seasonal items and native delicacies of the Philippines is not a bad idea. The café could also include in their menu some rice-based foods. In their ambiance and atmosphere, they can install some relaxing, classical music and other modern songs rather than looping the same songs over and over again. Some books and magazines will also help the customers relieve their stress and boredom. And lastly, the crew could smile even more to show that they love what they do.
I would likely to return to this place and recommend it to other people. If I wanted to satisfy my cravings, or just feeling fancy or generous, and have enough earned money, I could try their other specialties with a few good friends and with my family.
