Brocedes WAG Nico please
I'm sorry anon but nothing I can come up with will ever be better than this fic by @blorbocedes and i would also recc her whole wag!nico tag bcs it lives in my mind rent free. That being said, imma try something.
"Do you ever regret it?" Jenson asks him casually as they are standing in the pitlane, waiting to do their oen thing; Jenson, to go back to the commentator's box, and Nico waiting to retreat to the Mercedes garage.
He side-eyes Jenson, because if he is trying to get Nico to admit him and Lewis were a mistake, like he usually does, though never outright, Nico will block his number and make sure that Jense never gets another interview with Lewis, but Jenson's gaze is firmly set on the two Mercedes on the front row. The wistfullness in his gaze carries a pain that's familiar to Nico, and if he were a different man, he'd step closer to Jense and offer him some support.
He isn't, though. He smiles blandly as he spots a camera pointed their way, and moves the bag on his shoulder so its recognizable logo is visible. It was custom made for him, and it has a golden #44 sewn right in the middle.
"I have a Ferrari that's just as fast as home," he says callously, and it startles Jenson out of his pity-party. "Bye, JB," he says, and makes sure that his last gesture for the camera is an air-kiss blown in Lewis' direction. Lewis, who Nico would bet has been observing them the whole time behind his sunglasses, only lowers his head. Nico can see the smile on his lips, though, and he knows exactly how his little chuckle sounds, having heard it a million times, lastly in their bed that morning, and that makes it all worth it.

JB Fic Exchange Recs - AU Multi-Chapter
Our fanfic cup runneth over, it really does!  Fics so good I want to marry them (sorry hubs).  You should definitely check the following @jaime-brienne-fic-exchange fics out as soon as you have a chance (along with all the others available too)!
Teach Me the Courage of Stars - Jaime is a Duke who is left to care for his niece and nephew on his own.  Catelyn, Duchess of Winterfell, is an amazing friend who has the idea that a certain other friend of hers might be able to help him out.  I loved the regency aspect of this and all of the wonderful letter correspondence through which we get to know our beloved characters.  I love the secret identity aspect, the sibling relationships, the science, the storms.  This fic is intelligent, fun, romantic, and eventually whew steamy!  Check it out!
Excerpt 1 (from one of Jaime's letters): Alas, it seems, however, my wish to no longer be grieving, to once more be returned to my days as a bachelor, does not simply manifest it. Instead, I spend my days determining how to best be a father to my orphaned niece and nephew, and break propriety by introducing myself to a new acquaintance via the written word. Yours respectfully, Jaime Lannister Excerpt 2: Jaime knocked on the door, and he was greeted by a starry-eyed Brienne. Her hair was down in a loose braid, and the storm had wisps of hair escaping the braid to stand on end, and Jaime was utterly charmed by the ridiculousness of it. She was wrapped practically in a dressing gown of her own, but Jaime couldn’t help but realize that Brienne was surely wearing naught but her sleeping shift underneath it.
Sweet wounded Warrior, control yourself, dammit.
“Casterly!” Brienne exclaimed, a smile lighting up her face like the lightning crackling from the window. She covered her mouth the instant the name he had given Tourmaline leave to use had escaped, and Jaime’s hand flexed with a sudden desire to drag that hand away from her mouth. When they had first met, Jaime had been taken aback by the inches she had over him, and he wished he could blame scientific curiosity on his desire to understand what kissing Brienne in all her glorious height would feel like. Vows - 27 Dresses inspired JB fic.  Jaime gets to know Brienne as the subject of a blog article related to her extensive wedding party experience.  The closet o' past bridesmaid/best woman dresses/outfits scene is great.  There's cake tasting.  Renly & Loras are perfectly self-absorbed grooms-to-be.  Jaime can paint centerpieces!  Enjoyed the sibling relationships in this one too. There's some Sansa/Jaime time.  There are grand gestures.  This fic is just so funny, cute, relatable, and sweet with much great JB banter.  It left me very happy!
Excerpt 1: “I always thought I’d never meet someone who’d been to nearly as many weddings as me,” Jaime said. “But you’re pretty close.”
Brienne looked at him then like he was being strange. “Well I don’t particularly like weddings,” she said. “Not like you do.”
Well Jaime didn’t particularly like weddings anymore either, but he couldn’t come out and say that, now could he?
“What don’t you like about them, Blue?” he asked. She shot him another one of her angry looks.
“I just — people spend all that money, and it doesn’t guarantee anything besides a nice party. And half the time the more money you spend, the least likely you are to make it. And people get so wrapped up in things that don’t matter, and —”
“Then why be in twenty-seven of them?”
Brienne sighed, like Jaime was an absolute idiot. He kind of felt like one.  “I just want my friends to be happy.” She seemed embarrassed by the answer. Jaime thought it was rather nice. Excerpt 2: He chuckled and pulled her a little closer, so his lips were very near her ear. “The night’s almost over, Blue. I’ve got all the cold hard facts. But you can’t really write up a wedding without fully experiencing it.” He spun them in a lazy circle. “So I’m trying to make the most of the night before it’s over.”
“Surely there are other girls you’d rather dance with,” Brienne said, and immediately kicked herself. Why was she trying to convince Jaime to leave her side?
“No,” he said, sounding more confident than Brienne felt. “I don’t think there are.” If I got everything I want, would it be everything I need? - This involves some role reversal, which was really cool to see explored.  Selwyn in this fic is the Tywin-style father and Brienne is the product of her upbringing trying to figure out if she knows who she really is and if that's what she wants for her life.  Jaime's the client (and younger man) she's going to fake date to appease her dad's old-fashioned edict that she needs to find a suitable husband.  And we know how these fake dating situations usually turn out... 😉
Excerpt 1: Brienne exhaled. In for a penny, in for a pound. “My father is…. somewhat old-fashioned,” she said slowly. “I want to take on a bigger role here in the company, but he wants me to get married and pop out the next generation. If I were to bring a date to the fundraising gala that we organize each year for the opera house, he might be persuaded to consider your proposal.” And give her the promotion she had more than earned.
Jaime leaned back in his seat, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “Are you asking me on a date, Ms. Tarth?”
She rolled her eyes. “Think of it as a black-tie business meeting. There will be other potential investors there. I could make sure you have a chance to chat with them.”
His green eyes glinted dangerously at her as his smile expanded into a full-fledged grin. “Then how can I say no?” Excerpt 2: “This isn’t going to be fun,” Brienne said darkly, as they climbed into the town car. Because heavens forbid that Brienne drive herself to the giant mausoleum where she’d been raised.
“So you’ve said.” Jaime looked like he couldn’t decide whether he should be amused or worried. “Does he often execute his dinner guests?”
“Only on days that end in Y,” she muttered, smoothing the skirt of her dress obsessively.
Jaime reached over and grabbed her hand with his real one. “Relax, Brienne. We are just going to go have dinner, mention that we’re taking things slow, and I’ll throw some longing looks at you and talk about how I want a dozen kids.”
“A dozen?” She stopped fidgeting to look at him skeptically. “Do you know how much college tuition runs these days? Also, I’m thirty-three. Do you expect me to be continuously pregnant for 12 years, or am I supposed to be pushing out kids into my fifties?”
Jaime just grinned, totally unrepentant. “We can negotiate that, I suppose. Good thing for you I’m so young and virile.”
She rolled her eyes, and hoped she wouldn’t blush. She absolutely hadn’t thought about what he’d be like in bed. Not at all. This was a purely business arrangement. Or so she kept having to remind herself. Golden and Green - Brienne is a medical sourleaf farmer, Senator Tywin wants to shut her farm down, and Jaime wants to try sourleaf to get relief from his post-accident pain. He goes to Evenstar Farms, uses a fake name, and meets kind, helpful, and intriguing Brienne.  The farm setting is rich with sunsets and Brienne's cottage home complete with a pretty special library nook.  Jaime's living a lie on borrowed time while falling hard for Brienne.  Read and figure out how that all unfolds.  This was a very satisfying story and I just loved both of their characters a ton in it.
Excerpt 1: When they walked back around the barn, Jaime turned and looked over the sourleaf fields to the gently sloping hills which gave way to a dark green line of pine forest. The sun began to dip lower in the sky, bathing everything in a soft golden light.
“It’s magical.” The words were out of Jaime’s mouth before his head could catch up, and he winced at the cheesy pronouncement. But Brienne just looked over at him and smiled, seemingly overjoyed that someone appreciated the place as much as she did.
Excerpt 2:
Brienne: Yes. Don't work yourself to death, ok?
Jaime: You either. We haven’t even had our first date yet.
Brienne’s stomach swooped thinking about going on an actual date at all, much less a date with Jaime, the warrior made flesh, who actually seemed to like her? This can’t be real, Brienne thought. There has to be a catch.
Lost Dream of Tarth - Jaime as a silent film star in 1925 with a passion for archaeology and Brienne as the archaeologist who could use his funding to excavate on the lost island of Tarth.  Of course, he wants to be more involved than that... Brienne's crew is fantastic.  Their discoveries are wonderful.  This fic is adventurous and romantic and touching and fun.
Excerpt:
“Well Lannister, you might not know this, but being an archaeologist is more than just dressing the part and posing in front of rocks, unfortunately for you.” She sniffed. “There are boring parts, as you’ll undoubtedly notice.” She walked toward the women, and nodded to them. “You’ll soon realize that the time of the reckless archaeologist who inadvertently destroys artifacts is long over. And with regards to Oberyn, I suspect what you saw of him is only what he is willing to show you. He had your movie star attention span in mind, surely, when he led you about.”
they say your body is full of sin (it's the door through where peace begins) - The 55,956 word fic about five times Jaime and Brienne masturbated and one time they didn't (and we’d all read twice that many words for this story, I’d imagine!).  I cannot express to you just how incredibly hot this fic is.  It is also a wonderful look at Jaime's escape from his toxic family and Brienne embracing the knight she is.  And I have legitimately never wanted to be able to log in somewhere and watch Jaime be a camboy (and a baking one at that) but I sure as hell do now!  Get some wine and a decadent dessert and enjoy!
Excerpt 1: Now here he was, spreading his legs in the chair, one hand resting on his chest, his thumb idly dragging across his collarbone, while he let the fingers on his belly slowly dip down to tap against the button of his jeans. "You know," he said thoughtfully, "When my friend first told me about this website, there was a voice in my head telling me that nobody would be interested." He trailed his index finger around the snap, glancing down a little for the sole purpose of looking back at the camera through his eyelashes. "I'm not exactly a young man anymore, as I'm sure you can see." He popped his jeans open, the snapping sound loud in the quiet of his room, and fought back a delighted smile as more tokens appeared.
"I didn't know if anyone would want to see me like this, if anyone would pass over the college boys to watch a man who's nearly forty. But you're here aren't you?”
Excerpt 2: He smiled at the screen again, his eyes bright. "You really are a Knight huh? Just swooping in to save the day. I hope this isn't the last time you join me on my channel. I don't always need to be saved, but I like knowing I can be."
Brienne swallowed as she took in the two bright spots of color on his cheeks, the joy so clearly illuminated in his eyes, and groaned. I can't believe I'm going to do this, she thought, even as she typed in I will, and saw his smile grow even wider. I am such a fucking idiot, she added as she tipped him twenty tokens before hurriedly exiting the channel.
I am never going to be able to watch The Grand Maester Bake Off ever, ever again.

Jaime x Brienne Fic Exchange Recommendations
The time to cram has come! T-minus 12 or so hours until the author reveals so I thought I’d make a little plug for some stories I enjoyed that came out of the @jaime-brienne-fic-exchange
First off, I am VERY behind on reading the collection. I received a concussion around the time that the fics came out so my reading has been limited first by the light sensitivity, then the work catch-up in week 2 ( I had to take off work due to the concussion), and now me on short weekend vacation (yay!). I’ve perhaps touched thirty fics at this point (I still have to get to my gift fic which was posted today :D ) so this is by no means a whole evaluation of what’s been put out. The whole collection has been extremely high quality and I hope to come back later and post some more recs. I thank the mods for taking the time to wrangle with keeping this so organized. It’s been a blast.
Modern AU:
Man With a Heartbeat  You’ve likely seen this story come up in recs a million times but it’s Just. That. Good. With a unique writing style, and a cast of characters that includes some cameos by some personal book faves (minor as they are), this one is sure to sweep you off your feet with it’s very different take. I mean...antique dealers? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fanfic touch on this before and I was 100% here for this. Also Brienne was highly relatable lol.  Lesson Learned: ALWAYS plan your proposals or at least make sure the desire for marriage is clearly communicated and understood between both parties. #rip
To a Distant Stranger Jaime is super hot rocker who runs into Brienne again and again and again, despite her attempts to create distance between them after their implied (crazy off the charts, soul-mate inducing chemistry) hook-ups. Eventually he drops his rocker life and takes up as a bartender and true lurvvvveeee blossoms. :D  Lesson Learned: No bartender experience is needed when the course of true love doesn’t run smooth.
all these people think love’s for show (but I would die for you in secret) The author wouldn’t know this but the majority of my first bookmarked fics on AO3 were spy AUs. This sexy piece hit a very weak point for me since spies and schmexyness makes me go weak in the knees. (Also this title is prob my fave line from my fave TS song, did Author have to go so hard at me like that? It was a double whammy T.T) Jaime and Brienne are BRIMMING with sexual tension and from the first meeting I was already sitting on the edge of my seating thinking “Now kiss!” The author makes it worth it with some very bonding, emotional adventures that make the payoff feel so worth it.
if one thing had been different (would everything be different?) I just adore the premise that Jaime is Brienne’s landlord here. Lots of sexiness going on and feels where Jaime’s been nursing a crush for one LONG hot minute (read: several years) on B and our girl is sure he’s been bullying her FOREVER (tbr Jaime’s flirting isn’t as clear cut as the boy would like to believe)
Just as Sweet (just as thorny)  OOOHHH this had me feeling many things because I just wanted Jaime and Brienne to be in love but man, many feelings having to be sorted out since Jaime and Brienne met and developed feelings under the cover of Jaime’s fake persona. Selwyn Tarth also makes a fun cameo that helps Jaime’s chance at making it with his girl and Brienne’s life at the end of the story is on the up and up (romantic relationship aside. Did I mentioned I love spy AUs? This read is a MUST.
My Best Friend’s Wedding Brienne hires a professional party date who is (of course) our man JamLan. I have a huge weakness for fake relationships so this just knocked me down after all the spy AUs I read from the exchange. It’s all the parts you love about the movie The Wedding Date and more. The fic also gave me a lot of feelings about one of my favorite places in the world Mackinac island which I was delighted to find out in the AN actually served as a source of inspiration for this fic. :D
Backpfeifengesicht I know you’ve seen this recc-ed before so I’m going to say that what everyone says is accurate. It’s funny, it’s sexy and the friendships are top notch. I’m personally rather proud that I posited a question about the type of table mentioned in this fic and sparking a discussion that descended into who the author might be based on height of various authors around the fandom. Yes, I will take credit for that madness XD
The Knight and the Thief Cat Burglar AU. There’s a bunch of sneaking around here that hit’s me the same way as it does with Spy AUs. Of course Jaime wins the day with his biggest steal yet, one sapphire-eyed wench.
The One That Got Away Jaime and Brienne meet in College after knowing each other in high school. Reading Jaime try and fail to convince Brienne of his affection was a humorous trial and half. Favorite line in this fic: “You’re not just the one that got away. You’re the one. Period.” A very swoon worthy story that builds up perfectly. 100% worth the read!
Jaime, Brienne, and the Bachelor Party on Wheels Having attended uni in a college town where partying was the main event, seeing these bicycle drinking carts was a common occurrence and I knew as soon as I saw the title, this fic was going to be a must read for me. Jaime and Ygritte as good friends was the friendship I didn’t know I needed and I am totally taking notes now to put it in fic at some point. There’s a lot of rowing references I wasn’t familiar with but all the innuendos were very clear in their intentions. ;)
Book Canon AU:
A Matter of Honor Oh man this one is sexy as hell. This fic delves into ‘what if the Tarth’s were the wealthy noble house with royal favor and the Lannisters were the disrupted, down-on-their-luck Lords Paramount?’ A lot of fun is involved in this battle of wills, whether it’s Brienne, deciding to stick by her vow to marry despite her reservations about her husband-to-be,  Selwyn Tarth, trying to convince to break her betrothal, or Jaime, trying to decide if maybe he actually is into his potential new wife. There is so much fun and sexiness here that I couldn’t get enough. I may have also read this three times...XD
A Wench’s Kiss Have I ever mentioned how much I love a clearly communicated  sex scene where both parties involved know each other’s needs? Well you do now! While the roles here are clearly defined as to who is who in this Dom&Sub role-play dynamic, it is very clear that every action done is done as communicated by the partners preferences and needs.
Other AU
Brienne Tarth and the Quest for the Lost Swords  Brienne is Indiana Jones and Jaime is the Nazi lady from movie three with a better heart and better intentions (in the end). Fortunately, the end for these two is much better then it was for Indy and his doomed lady love (Jk I was always team Marion but stillll).

JB Fic Exchange Recs - Canon Oneshots
Okay, another few oneshots from the @jaime-brienne-fic-exchange but more of the canon variety.  Again, just a sampling of some I enjoyed...there are so many good ones!
let me crawl inside your veins - this is a continuation of ADWD showing Brienne and Jaime's journey to Pennytree/LSH and the thoughts, conversations, and MORE that happen along the way (read: first time in the wilderness, and hot yes).  The Brienne POV in this is wonderful and this is just beautifully done and it completely tugs at your heartstrings.  Ugh, I just love these two, okay??!!
Excerpt 1: Jaime had once given an unprompted lesson on lying during his time as her prisoner. You have to believe it, he’d said. If you believe what you say, so will the poor fool who hears it.
“My lord, you gave me a quest.”
That much was true, at least.
“The girl,” he said, understanding lighting up his face. “Have you found her?” He was hopeful, his smile nearly proud.
Believe what you say.
Believe what you say.
Believe what you say.
“I have.”
Please don’t believe me.
“Where is she?” Excerpt 2: “Patience, my lady,” he said.
“I’ve been waiting for you a long time, ser.” dream deep heavy sleeper (dream light heavy heart) - Quiet Isle time (and defying of the Isle's rules), including bed-sharing, hurt/comfort/healing, watching the one you love while they sleep, declarations, and sweetness.
Excerpt: For a moment, Jaime looked mildly chastised. It was such an unfamiliar expression to see on his face that she was almost disconcerted by it. Then he raised his chin, green eyes flashing, and it was gone again.
“So they would prefer you to be left alone in the height of your fever, wracked with pain and plagued by nightmares, calling for me so loudly I could hear you all the way over in the men’s cells? That does not seem especially kind to me.”
Brienne faltered, all her righteous anger gone in an instant. “I called for you?”
She remembered her fever dreams when they had first brought her to Stoneheart, how she’d cried out for Jaime to save her. The one-eyed man had called her the Kingslayer’s whore, and when she’d asked why, he’d said if I had a silver stag for every time you said his name, I’d be as rich as your friends the Lannisters. It had been embarrassing enough in front of the Brotherhood. The thought of Jaime hearing it was mortifying. She wanted to curl up and hide, like an insect under a stone that had been overturned.
But Jaime did not laugh, as she had half-expected him to. Instead his face was grave. “Aye, and the sound haunts me. I never should have sent you on that thrice-damned foolish quest.” Companion - This is a beautiful piece that explores Jaime and Brienne’s growing relationship through scenes involving food and drink.  Pears, oranges, and meat, oh my!  My description doesn’t do it justice -- it’s just so smart and so lovely!
Excerpt 1:
She finishes her meat, lifts the bowl with the remaining broth to her lips. A jerk on the rope around her middle makes her spill the liquid down the inside of her plate and, oh, she is going to drown him in the next stream.
Excerpt 2:
She turns to leave, grabbing the wine flagon as she goes.
“I was drinking that!” he protests.
“Notice how you said ‘was’ there?”
Excerpt 3:
A plate of unshucked oysters is the height of comedy. If Lord Selwyn ever stops fantasising about his violent death from behind a wine goblet, they’ll get along like ham and maggots. The way Brienne’s knuckles whiten around her goblet tells him she does not share his wry admiration of the starter course at Evenfall.
“This is how it’s going to be, is it?” she asks. delicate in every way but one - This is a great scene of Jaime asking Brienne to spar with him before she leaves King’s Landing and that subsequent spar.
Excerpt:
“No matter. You’re still the man you were before.”
He raised his stump at her. “I am very much not.”
“Do you not still serve to protect the King? To preserve the good of the people?”
Jaime didn’t answer, but he didn’t need to. They both knew the truth of it well enough.
Second Hand News - This is a touching missing scene of Jaime bearing the burden of sharing the news of the Red Wedding and the death of Lady Catelyn with Brienne before they reach King’s Landing.  There’s protectiveness, wound concern, bed sharing, and honesty.  Oh, my heart!
Excerpt:
Jaime took in a breath and let it out carefully. He dropped the saddlebag onto the bed and then he sat, too. “I know that you have no reason to trust me,” he said. “But it is not… It is not nothing to me, what we have gone through together these last few weeks. You looked out for me when I could not look after myself.”

JB Fic Exchange Recs - AU Oneshots
Well, I’ve gotten through about half of the @jaime-brienne-fic-exchange fics at this point, which is both not nearly enough for my liking and also pretty impressive for me, lol. I wanted to get some recs out ahead of the reveal because the wealth of talent in this fandom should be celebrated and shouted from every rooftop...and here we are down to the wire.  Haha!  Obviously, there are SO many more awesome fics available, so take this as just a lovely sampling.  Thank you dear authors for sharing your talents with us all!
Bug Juice: Jaime and Brienne's Summer at Camp - THIS IS MY GIFT FIC!  READ IT NOW!  Okay, even if this wasn't my gift fic, I would absolutely love this fun romp of a fic.  My prompt was basically summer camp with JB flair and my author took that to such a level of creativity and snark, it was just beyond perfect!  This one is in Myrcella's POV...I didn't even know I needed this, but I really did!  She's watching the season finale of a reality tv show that's set at summer camp.  Everyone is riveted by Jaime and Brienne's will-they-won't-they, enemies-to-lovers subplot, Myrcella included, even though she does have a bit of insider knowledge naturally.  I love the way this is written like reality show segments, with Myrcella's brilliant reactions/commentary/texting of her uncle from her couch.  There are commercial breaks that will crack you up.  A very serious discussion about Capture the Flag is had.  The GoT show digs are fantastic.  Really, this is the fic you need to read if you like smiling for long periods of time and laughing potentially so hard you spew your drink.  Oh, and also if you enjoy a good ole reality show HEA.  Excerpt 1: “When Daenerys took over as Camp Director mid-session, I was worried,” Jaime says to the camera, running his good hand through his hair. “I have a complicated history with her father and she doesn’t trust me. The young Starks don’t exactly either, but Brienne has fought for me. She insisted that I am good at my job—good with the kids. She said that I am a good man.” Jaime’s eye twitches just a touch as he stares straight ahead, his face otherwise a mask of calculated neutrality. Myrcella picks up her phone, about to text her uncle to make fun of how sappy he is when the scene switches to Brienne. Excerpt 2: Brienne takes a long sip, eyeing Jaime skeptically over the rim as she lowers her cup. OMG, when are they going to make out? Just kiss him! Ugh, they better kiss or I’m going to lose my damned mind. “You keep it warm enough in here,” he complains with a sigh, brushing past Brienne, who slowly sets her cup down and turns to him. She wipes her wide palms on her shorts and watches his back as he struggles to shed his hooded sweatshirt. Excerpt 3:
“Nooooo!” Myrcella screams and falls off the couch. She lands on the ground with a thud. She scrambles to untangle herself from her blanket and clamour back up onto the couch to grab her phone. She sends Jaime a shouty text.
Score - Jaime, Brienne, and bar trivia!  Also, face-sitting goodness...what's not to love?!
Excerpt: “And because I was right and you were wrong, I demand you two go on a date.”
“Excuse me,” Brienne squeaked. Was Tyrion trying to humiliate her? How could he suggest something so absurd without a cruel intention?
To Jaime’s credit, he had the decency to look mildly embarrassed. He even blushed. “Stop it, Tyrion,” he said, annoyed.
“I’m serious,” his brother replied. “You two have been flirting all night. Do something about it or this trivia arrangement will not work out in the long run.” Privilege - Jaime coming up with ridiculous lawsuits so he can keep spending time with his lawyer, Brienne (and a couple not-so-ridiculous ones too).  This one is hilarious and clever and also very sweet.  Do yourself a favor and read it!
Excerpt: “Jaime. At this point, I have known you for eighteen months—”
As their drinks appeared, he tapped his mochaccino against her tea. “Cheers!”
“—we have never not been in court! Seven Hells, Jaime, last month you had me sue Stoneheart Press because you didn’t like the representation of Goldenhand the Just in their line of historical fiction novels.”
He took a sip of his coffee. Anyone else would look ridiculous drinking what was essentially a dessert in a three-piece suit. But not Jaime. Jaime just…looked good. “And you won all those cases, Tarth. You’re good. Occasionally graceless while dealing with opposing counsel, but good all the same.
I hope our paths will croissant again - the way to my heart is baked goods...no, really, my hubby's a good and generous baker.  So, any story where Jaime has baking skills is going to appeal to me.  That said, this one is sweet and funny and has some pining and dare I say it was delicious?  Go enjoy it!
Excerpt 1: “She didn’t hire me,” Jaime says. “She’s holding me hostage, actually.”
She stares at him for a moment, and then realizes he’s joking, and he laughs uproariously at the look on her face.
“I’m good at my job. Why’d she hire you? ”
Excerpt 2:
When Jaime comes back to work, he teases her again, though lightly, and she assures herself that whatever she felt in his apartment that evening is something that he can’t possibly reciprocate and nothing is ever going to come of it, so they can just be coworkers and it will be fine. She scrubs the kitchen countertop very aggressively when he comes to help her with a batch of coconut cake and hopes he doesn’t see her blushing. Thankfully, he then spills coconut flakes all over the kitchen floor and she has to get the broom and by the time she comes back her heartbeat has slowed down properly. She tells herself she’s being very, very stupid. The stupidest, really. Absolutely top tier stupidity.
On Paper - Addam is wingman extraordinaire, guiding is best friend through some unintentional sandwich wrapper flirting.
Excerpt:
He knew better than to bring a date to Tarth’s. It was a surefire way to ruin a good thing in case of nasty break up.
Bringing his best friend along should have been safer. Less risky.
It would have been if his best friend wasn’t Jaime Lannister, that’s for damn sure.
Meet Me Cute - J & B are bodyguards to Sansa and Margaery and are forced to be around each other following their charges’ meet cute and all that follows.  This is told through multiple POVs and is so fun!
Excerpt:
“Margaery, can you tell Jaime to stop using ‘our’ when referring to me,” Brienne replied, opting not to engage with him directly.
Margaery sighed and turned towards her girlfriend’s bodyguard. “Jaime… why does Brienne hate your guts?”
“Not what I said.”
Jaime shrugged, “Don’t know.”
“Don’t know?” Brienne exclaimed, snapping her head up to glare at him. “You don’t know?”
“I don’t have a clue,” Sansa chimed in. “And Jaime has told me a lot about you.”
“You shush,” Jaime said. Sansa simply laughed.
vellichor - This mesmerizing story of a world-renowned violinist and a used-bookstore owner is told via before & after segments that reveal the development of the characters and of this beautiful relationship.
Excerpt:
So he does not let himself falter as he surveys the audience, sketching out a half-bow before lifting the violin and settling it against his shoulder. His bow is still loose in his right hand, and it trembles when he goes to raise it, the scars protesting a motion he has done a million times.
Those watching will see his hesitation as part of the show, the spectacle—a prolonging of his grand return is what the articles will say tomorrow morning. They will not see the terror that jolts through his body, the fingers of his left hand pressing harder against the strings. They will not see his eyes wandering over to a box on the left side of the hall, the box where a few people he has carefully chosen sit, leaning forward along with the rest.
They will not see how he searches for a tall woman sitting among them, nor will they see the ache that takes hold of his heart when the spotlight blinds him and he is unable to push through the curtain of brilliance to see if she is there.

Thank you so much @thecrescentlion for this wonderful gift fic! Jaime/Brienne fans, check out this lovely AU wherein JB are both doctors but Jaime’s son Tommen has received a tough diagnosis and his hope lies in treatment within Brienne’s hospital pediatric program. I’m living for the hurt/comfort and all of the “respect” Jaime has for Brienne. There’s also banter, adorable Tommen, and a secret meeting place. Go read it now!
Now, who’s heading over to ao3? 😉
