The truth is inside you… I really enjoyed discussing this book in book club with @cacaolaboratory @flourishing.oneness This book connects shamanism with science so beautifully. It follows the authors experiences with ayahuasca, ayahuascero, shamans, science, and anthropology. It affirms our connection with nature, that we are nature. It gives reverence to the shamans and indigenous cultures that have long know the science of DNA 🧬 in connection with serpent energy 🐍. The arrival to these finding may have taken different paths- but the undeniable truth is that it was there and understood. I personally have such a deep appreciation for this connection and respect for those that have come before us, and the value of different perspectives 🔍 I would definitely reccomend this book for deeper exploration to our connections with nature as well as cultures and plant medicines ⚕️ “The rational approach starts from the idea that everything is explainable and that mystery is in some sense the enemy. Plants perceive the world in their own way. _ A plant may not have eyes but it perceives light through photo receptor proteins that cover its entire body and that are nearly identical to the ones inside our own retinas. _ It is as if the plant has tiny eyes all over its body. _ A plant knows if you’re standing next to it and dressed in red or blue. _ Plants learn and remember and make decisions.
