Ok peeps!!! I'm caught up on my MLB Immaculate Grid with grid number 373!!! For those one I went with an All Latino grid.
The easy lines were the Born outside the US 50 States and DC and the played 3B minimum 1 game. The Brewers and team lines was the hardest. The most difficult box was the Brewers/Cubs box. I had the last name Vizcaíno in mind but couldn't rememebr a first name. After I got lucky and chose correctly (when you put a last name in the box, you are given a choice of available players with that last name) I decided to look into the other two Vizcaíno players that I could choose from. The other two also played for the Cubs. I guess the 33.3% worked in my favor. 🤣🤣🤣
When people think teams that Jesse Orosco played for, Mets, Orioles and Dodgers come to mind. But I vaguely remembered that he pitched for both the Twins and the Brewers. He also pitched for Cleveland, St. Louis and San Diego. Need to add him to the list of players who played for 5 or more teams.
In all, I chose players of Mexican, Dominican, Cuba, Venezuela and Puerto Rican descent. Not a bad representation.
Thats all for today. On to grid 374.

After reacquiring Jesse Orosco from the Orioles in December, the Mets send the veteran left-hander to the Cardinals for utility player Joe McEwing. In 1978, Orosco, who will pitch in four decades (1979-2003), was the player to be named later in the trade when New York sent veteran southpaw Jerry Koosman to Minnesota.

In 1955, a young George Kalinsky went with his father to see a World Series game at Yankee Stadium. While there, he took a poignant photograph of the Brooklyn Dodgers lined up for the national anthem. That was only the beginning of what became a long career in photographing some of New York’s most memorable events. Among them, New York Mets pitcher Jesse Orosco celebrating the final out in Game 7 of the 1986 World Series.
These and many more photographs of iconic NYC moments are now on view in New York Through the Lens of George Kalinsky.

Happy Saturday!!! Welcome to my MLB Immaculate Grid number 362!!!
When I think of a Brewers pitcher with 10+ wins in a season, how can I not think of C.C. Sabathia. Yes, many of you would say his time in Cleveland and New York were more memorable than his time in Milwaukee. But I don't think there was ever a mid-season trade where the pitcher that who was traded for went 11-2 with a 1.65 ERA, 7 complete games and 3 shutouts to help the Brew Crew make the Postseason.
Also, Roger McDowell's 14-9 record for the 1986 Mets gets overshadowed by the starting rotation. The 86 Mets won 108 games, of which the starting five of Gooden, Darling, Ojeda, Fernandez and Aguilera were credited with 76 wins. What's amazing about McDowell's season was that he basically split the closer position with Jesse Orosco. McDowell had 22 saves to Orosco's 21.
Staying with the 1986 Mets, Howard Johnson was a silent but productive part of the Mets in the mid 1980s to the early 1990s. HoJo wasn't opening too many eyes with his batting average but he was a consistent part of the Mets offense, especially after the heyday of the "Bad Guy" Mets ended with a horrible 59-103 season in 1993.
Hope everyone had a great Saturday. Happy Easter to one and all. On to grid number 363!!!
