Additionally, @jewelofafrica, it’s a pleasure to greet you formally. I apologize for not doing so sooner. I came across your blog by chance, and recognized the hyena.

This icebreaker might be too frequently-repeated by this point, but it’s still a subject that’s rather close to my heart. For each of you, and I mean this as broadly as possible: do you enjoy the arts? Do you practice an art form yourself?

My condolences. That's a lot...Grief is. A hard thing. I can't tell you how to feel but I can wish that one day, you can learn to cope with your loss. And that you can make new connections. and even though i made it better, they still died. i don’t have time powers. when i change events, it doesn’t make a paradox. it makes it so that this new thing is always the thing that happened. even if there should be a paradox.

which means i’m one of the only people who even knows that story happened. i don’t know what happened with the others on the asteroid. i just know that we were a family, stuck on a golden alien war ship, going near the speed of light, on reality outside of our universe. we were teenagers doing our best with super powers. we had no one to watch us. we did our best.

I'm not in great contact with my sisters, but I still hear from them now and again. Avriel sends me letters from time to time, letting me know how their business is keeping up, and I think Misha is still a bit resentful that I left straight out of highschool to "run away" with Kieviel. She still makes and sends me new textile designs she's made, though. I should visit them soon.

You grimace so hard that you begin to think you may fracture your beak at that, clenching your fist and stomping a foot in embarrassment. Well, wasn't that the detail of the hour to miss! You'd spend the next while reviwing this particular interaction and how you missed such an important factor that turned this conversation from lighthearted and bond-y to insensitive and tone deaf (not that either of those adjectives would be wrong even if you were aware in this particular instance), but for now you had to type out a reply to fill your shameful silence and imply an apology.
