Kagetsugu : Chapter 5

Reader x Kagetsugu Fanmade MS Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | [X] | Final

The morning sunshine woke me up.

(oh.. Kagetsugu has already woke up..) As I remembered the events of last night I could feel my face getting warmer.

(Alright , time to work (Y/N) ! )

With that , i got dressed and made my way to the kitchen.

(Hm...? Why there are so many people here?)

"Whoa, you are so skillfull! These flowers look like they bloomed yesterday!"

"Right ! Look how fast he is with his hands!"

"Oh.. what are you talking about, i am just a gardener!" a man in blue said as I watched him skillfully planning some small flowers.

(His hands were indeed good with gardening , but something wasn't right with his gaze)

Seeing Kagetsugu in the hallway distracted me.

"Kagetsugu ! " I called him.

Gardener : " ... "

"Good morning (Y/N), how did you slept last night?" Kagetsugu asked me with a smile.

"Oh.. great!" I answered slightly embarrassed

"Kagetsugu...? Is that you...?" a voice said behind us. When we both turned to see who talked, it was the new gardener. Kagetsugu's expression changed once he saw him.

"I am Jishiro Yuuta, remember me..?" the gardener said and smiled.

"Of course.. we are from the same town aren't we?" Kagetsugu said somehow cold "(Y/N), why don't you go to the kitchen, we will talk later." he added

"Of course, milords" I said and left.

(Alright, maybe i was just imagining things, he is Kagetsugu's friend after all)

Meanwhile

"You seem like you found yourself some company hm?" the man said.

"What do you want Kotaro?" Kagetsugu replied.

"Why is Kenshin still alive..?" Kotaro said with a deadly gaze. "If I remember correctly, he was to die last night, but instead it seems that you enjoyed yourself with one of those miserable maids." he added.

"You.." Kagetsugu murmured as he clenched his fist.

"Oh... maybe that kitchen girl wasn't just a miserable maid to you huh?" Fuma answered with a grin.

"Let her out of this..."

"Maybe i should just kill her.. she is making you weak Kagetsugu..." he said as he took his blade.

"Make a scene here and be sure to join me to the afterworld Kagetsugu..Just let me get rid of her" he added with a creepy smile.

(No.. i already let my sister die.. i won't let her die too!) With that, Kagetsugu drew his katana and runned after Kotaro.

I was cleaning up the kitchen when someone entered.

"Hello, there~"

(Oh.. it's the gardener! Kagetsugu's friend)

"Hello! How can I help you?" i answered with a smile.

" I wonder..." he said and took some steps closer to me.

(This is not right... Where is Kagetsugu? They were together moments ago)

As his gaze turned more dreadful , the door slammed open.

"Get away from her!" said Kagetsugu with his katana on his hands.

(I knew something was off here! )

I was watching the whole scene terrified when the man vanished and appeared again behind me holding a small knife at the level of my throat.

(That agility.. Is he...a Hojo ninja...?)

"Or else what .. boy? This woman is making you weak! Can't you see it!?" he said.

Kagetsugu's eyes were filled with anger as he answered: "Or else ,I will cut you down.." "Is that right now...? Are you planning to safe her then? YOU COULDN'T EVEN SAFE YOUR OWN SISTER!" he screamed at him with a voice filled with madness.

"Don't you dare..."

"Wanna know a little story boy? About that "accident" 10 years ago? I , was the one that put on that fire but it was meant to be for that fool you serve as a lord! What a pitty huh?" the ninja said with a sick grin on his lips.

"What.. did you say..?" Kagetsugu said looking down and holding his katana tight in his hand.

"That's right! The one that killed your sister, was me!" he ninja said hysterically.

Kagetsugu lifted his head looking relaxed as ever, but i could see the rage in his eyes. In a blink of an eye I couldn't see Kgetsugu in front of me and the ninja behind me had fallen to the floor holding his arm where a big wound was. Then Kagetsugu, lifted me and took me out of the room.

"Stay here.." he said in the most chilling voice I have heard from him.

Kagetsugu entered the room once more, seeing Kotaro on his feet ready to fight.

"Are you really Kagetsugu...?" he said teasingly.

"What do you mean?" Kagetsugu answered calmly as ever.

"If you are, then I am disappointed. When you first joined the Hojo i could see how much you wanted to fight, but now.. look at you... pathetic..!" he replied.

"You failed the Hoj-" he was about to add when Kagetsugu spoke.

"Kotaro.., I want to finish this.."

"A meaningless proposal ! I can only accept it from those with the strength to challenge me! But you don't have to worry I- Aah!" he couldn't finished his saying for once more when Kagetsugu moved fast enough to make another wound on his ribs.

"Enough..." he said.

In the meanwhile , the noise was loud enough for the other lords to come at the kitchen were I was.

"(y/n) ! What's going on here!?" Yoshichi said as we saw me standing there in terror

"Kagetsugu and a Hojo ninja are..." I said and tears filled my eyes.

"That's it! I am going in!" Kageie said as he was about drew his katana.

"Hold it!" Lord Kenshin said as he came to our way.

"He needs to do this alone, for his pride. Saving him now means killing his pride forever.." he added and his retainers looked at him shocked.

They knew that they couldn't do nothing but to hope that Kagetsugu will win this fight
