PROLOGUE

Mu Woods isn’t an innocent town nor is it a place full of crime either. It’s just a boring town with minimal history, people, and crime. The only special thing about the place is the teenagers’ drive to party on the weekends and causes a little noise to the town. They give color to Mu Woods which is usually grey. But recently the colors starts to bleed with the sudden shift in the air.

10:30pm, Saturday

It was a chilly night but that didn’t stop the loud booming bass coming from a two story house near the woods that surrounded Mu, which clearly got it’s name from. The poor house was packed with teenagers from all different grades even some who haven’t even entered the high school yet. It’s the middle of the school year everyone wanted the stress to sweat off their bodies from dancing, to drinking, and finally from lust.

That’s exactly what’s happening to Lee Jisu; the loving, innocent, girl next door Lee Jisu. Warm and sweet on the outside dirty and slutty on the inside. “Y-Yes! Jisu stopped by her boyfriend who was still talking and drinking with his little group. “Yeonjun~” she controlled her voice into a higher lighter tone one that really keeps the illusion going. “Darling!” He welcomed her with open arms and a bright smile. “I started getting worried for a second.” He wrapped his left arm around her shoulder holding her tight. Almost afraid of her leaving him again. “Sorry I was just not feeling well so I went into the bathroom and Hana came in with me. She was helping me, but then she started gossiping with me.” Just strings of lies were coming out of her mouth. Yeonjun just took it even though in the back of his head there was a bit of doubt.

Even though Jisu didn’t see it nor poor little Yeonjun there was someone lingering in the shadows that has seen Jisu’s two face ways, and wanted to help Yeonjun to set him free from his doubts. So let’s get the dead weight off his shoulders.

As the night continues and it was already the wee hours of the morning the party didn’t look like it was going to end anytime soon, so Jisu decided to get some drinks for her and Yeonjun to keep it going. Jisu went into the kitchen where all the parents’ liquor was at, “are you fucking kidding me.” Jisu whined at the sight of empty bottles all over the expensive marble counter top. Just as she was going to quickly give up she felt her phone vibrated, it was a message.

dad!: there’s some more outside in the back

Jisu: I told u to stop texting me!

If you couldn’t figure it out miss girl next door is a pretty good liar and knows how to hide secrets with code names that people wouldn’t really question.

dad!: don’t you miss me? come on jisu leave the son of bitch for a second and come with me let’s have some real fun huh?

Jisu was getting bored by the second hearing Yeonjun and his friends told about shit that didn’t interest her.

Jisu: fine. but it’s that last time ok!

dad!: don’t worry it will be the last time I promise. meet me by the lake so no one sees us

Luckily Minyeon another person in Jisu’s clique showed up in perfect timing. “Minyeon! Just the person I wanted to see.” Jisu gave Minyeon a fake smile. “Oh, Jisu-ah there you are I was wondering where you were. You’re always hiding somewhere huh?” Minyeon was clueless and was genuinely dumb to Jisu which always worked in her favor. Someone who’s beautiful and has a similar taste like Jisu, but had nothing going on inside that pretty little head of hers. Jisu giggled, “no, but what I will do is get us some drinks. I’ll be back ok.” Minyeon didn’t ask no further questions just smiled and nodded like the empty obedient girl she is.

There wasn’t much people outside since was already getting even colder than before, plus all the action was inside. The path leading to the lake was also the infamous path into the woods. Jisu didn’t know if it was the coldness of the full moon night or the eerie feeling she was starting to get that was led her goosebumps up her arms. She pushed the feeling aside as she spotted the lake that was reflecting the moonlight. “Alright I’m here.” She called out. Jisu scanned the lake and around the trees trying to see if she saw anyone. “Chanwoo! Where are you?” Jisu was getting irritated. “I don’t have all nig-”

Her phone vibrated.

Jisu gave one finally look at the distant house that still had her boyfriend there waiting for her. She bit her lip having a mental battle of going or not, but ultimately making her decision to meet up with Chanwoo. Again the feeling was there but Jisu was already way too into it to back out, plus to be fair she hasn’t seen Chanwoo in a couple of weeks since last time he fingered her in the movie theaters after her dinner date with Yeonjun.

“Ok I’m here.” Jisu sighed, yet no Chanwoo in sight. “Stop fucking with me Chanwoo.” Jisu furrowed her brows. A little chuckled was heard causing Jisu whipped her head around. “It’s not funny anymore!” Jisu chest started rising more frantically. The little snaps from the branches breaking caught Jisu’s eye before finally seeing a shadow. “Stop fucking around and come out!” Jisu yelled at the person. What scared her the most is that the person stopped and turned to face her. Jisu’s eyes widen at the sight of the person wearing a bunny mask that was cover with black fur and nothing else. No eyes, no mouth, no expression.

“You’re a freak.” Jisu spat out venom. “You’re mad I’m not bending you over and fucking you like a bitch.” The distorted voice spoke to Jisu. Jisu payed close attention to all the details of the person like how they wore a silky white dress with arm warmers. “You’re probably just another whore Chanwoo fucks huh? Sorry.” Jisu spoke in a fake apologetic tone. The person stepped closer to Jisu causing Jisu to start panicking, but tried not to show it. “Actually, you can keep him well…at least a part of him.” Jisu confusion was instantly replaced with horror at the sight of Chanwoo’s decapitated head that the person was just holding it by his hair. Jisu was about to let out a scream of panic, but the mysterious killer dropped the head and quickly pushed Jisu against there body covering her mouth. “Shouldn’t have been going around opening your legs and actually appreciated your soon to be ex boyfriend, but don’t worry he’ll be in safe hands.” A evil giggled was let out, causing Jisu to still try to scream but was muffled by the hand.

“Here I’ll give you something to actually scream about.” A small knife was pulled from the garter that was hiding under the silky dress. They struck Jisu’s left side of her stomach quickly pulling it out and throwing her on the dirt floor. “Let’s play a game ok? You try to run as fast as you can, and I’ll try to catch you.” They kept on taunting Jisu.

Jisu still have some fight in her and actually got up while pressing down on her wound trying to run, but the pain was soon getting to her. “Come on Jisu. You got this.” She whispered to herself. Unfortunately, she only made it to the lake the house was barely in sight. “Ah, ah, ah~” the killer pulled Jisu towards the little dock the lake had. “I see you got pretty far, but not far enough.” They crushed any hope Jisu got. Once they reached the end of the dock Jisu plead, “why? Why are you doing this to me? And who are you?”

“Well since you ask I’ll tell you.” They held on to Jisu’s hair tightly making her whimper in pain. “I want someone that you don’t deserve, and to get what I want I have to take out the one thing in my way. You.” Maybe if Jisu begged enough this will stop. “Ok then you can have Yeonjun! He’s all yours I won’t say anything or do anything I swear.” Jisu tried to find their eyes, but it was impossible with the bunny mask covering. “Just let me go.” Tears started running down her face. “Before you go I’ll answer your second question.” The killer completely ignored Jisu’s pleas and started revealing themselves to her. With what little Jisu had left since she was currently bleeding out from the stabbing she focused on the killer’s movements. They dropped the mask on the dock floor making direct eye contact with Jisu. “Y-you’re beautiful.” Jisu mumbled at the sight of the girl who had long jet black hair with bangs just above her eyebrows, black cat liner with a few moles on her face; one below her lip on the left side, one under the corner of her left eye, and finally one on her cheek bone on the right side.

“Aw, thanks.” The girl cooed, evilly smiling. “At least your last words were kind.” Before Jisu could say anything else the girl slice Jisu’s throat with the same little knife, and threw her into the water. “Did they actually care about you Jisu.” She shook her at the thought of nobody coming out to look for her. “Maybe I did you a favor.” She proceed to take out a cigarette and a lighter from her small pocket of her garter, lighting the cigarette and blowing the smoke out as she watch Jisu’s lifeless body float covered in her blood.

además del pintoresco hostal y la gruesa jungla que les rodea, el matrimonio han cuenta con una fundación que se encarga de vestir y alimentar a personas de bajos recursos, aceptando donaciones de ropa, calzado e incluso accesorios. las sumas monetarias no es algo que disfruten, pues siguen la política de que las prendas merecen una segunda oportunidad y que de esa forma ayudarán, además de a las personas, al medio ambiente.

viendo la fama que seoulmate y les participantes han tenido en la televisión, tuvieron la idea de hacer un cobro especial por las noches en la isla. se negaron a recibir dinero por las habitaciones y, en cambio, les pidieron ayuda exponiendo a la fundación en redes sociales para de esa forma conseguir más donativos. fue el encargado del grupo, parte de la producción, quien accedió al trueque y aceptó a la petición, tomando en cuenta el problema de la poca preparación de les participantes por no haber empacado lo suficiente para cubrir todos los días que estarían atrapades allí.

es necesario recalcar que el matrimonio acepta cualquier tipo de prenda, por lo que cada una de ellas es más especial que la anterior. ¿estás liste para ver la tuya?

los atuendos publicados deben de llevar la prenda que les tocó, aunque pueden elegir libremente con qué acompañarla. al no haber pensado en el problema de quedar atrapados en una isla por una semana nadie empacó lo suficiente, solo para el fin de semana. por lo tanto el reto personal de cada une es adaptarlas a su estilo y tomar papel de modele para apoyar a la fundación y pagar por el techo que los cubre durante la noche.

Otro mes se nos escapa de las manos, ¡cómo vuela el tiempo! Otra vez, nos han sorprendido con nuevas dedicatorias domingo tras domingo, se han confesado todos los sábados, han participado del encantador juego del admirador secreto y nos han deslumbrado con sus encantadores atuendos durante todo este mes. A excepción de ese último, que a decir verdad, es bastante olvidable. Pero no se preocupen por eso, ¡les hemos premiado con puntos extras por tener que vestir esas... simpáticas prendas en la isla! Se esforzaron por amoldarse a ellas o amoldarlas a ustedes, así que los atuendos de la última semana han sumado 10 puntos para cada une de ustedes, valientes.

Y como siempre, tenemos que coronar a le participante destacade del mes. Con la extraodinaria suma de 285 puntos, nuestro campeón del mes, el rey de agosto, es #SOKKIE. Me comentan que ha resultado el mayor premiado por la fortuna en aquella búsqueda del tesoro, ¡bien por él, bien por él! Por sus esfuerzos, y su habilidad para el robo, se le ha premiado con una suma de 10 puntos de base para el mes de septiembre. Ah, ¡y se nos olvidaba! Como la tecnología se actualiza con cada segundo, nuestro sistema se ha renovado y actualmente contamos con un excel por aquí que podrán consultar constantemente para verificar cómo han sido sumados sus puntos. Cualquier duda, o error, no duden en remarcárnoslo. (Por cierto, ¡muchas gracias, Athena, por el aporte!).

A continuación dejamos la lista completa de puntajes, junto con una comparativa con sus posiciones en el ranking anterior. Podrán seguir canjeando sus puntos durante todo lo que resta de este día y el día completo de mañana. ¡No dejen que ni uno solo se desperdicie! Recuerden que a partir del miércoles todes (les que no hayan ganado puntos de base para septiembre) volverán a tener cero puntos.

Nota: Debido a que los puntos por el juego de la búsqueda del tesoro fueron sumados junto al resto de los beneficios de este mes (puntos extras del último atuendo + aportes + enviar sus puntos cuando se los solicitamos), perdimos el ranking previo a esa suma y por ello esta vez el ranking corresponde a los puntos obtenidos antes y después del bonus por el juego. A List of Asian music artists/bands (but mostly Asian American)

Just organizing my notes on my phone and thought I’d share! Includes commentary/notes that no one asked for! Feel free to add! (But I’m excluding The Big Three (Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Jay Som), 88rising and k-pop in general):

I haven’t been keeping up-to-date, but shout out to Boston talent:

-Really From: jazz/math rock/punk/pop? sound, includes vocalist/keyboardist Michi Tassey (half-Japanese) & vocalist/guitarist Chris Lee-Rodriguez (half Chinese, half Puerto Rican). Signed to Topshelf so you know they’re good :~)

-Paper Citizen: indie rock project of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Claire Gohst (Singaporean), who is also part of the lgbt community! And works w/ Lysten Agency, and all the agency’s artists are gr8 soOo

-Honey Cutt: dreamy surf rock three piece band. They’re passing by the city so gotta go see them but I got finals!! ah! Features Chris Chew on the drums & he has a great aesthetic; he’s a graphic designer too and has his own solo project that’s v pink.

-Mint Green: four? piece pop punk band; saw them live at the Great Scott and was the highlight of my otherwise v boring summer tbh. Includes Daniel Huang on the drums; he wore a Paramore shirt at the concert i went to which was Cool

-Magic Man: ??? do they still exist? But shout out to Sam Lee!

Indie pop & rock cause I don’t know the difference lmao:

-No Vacation: Bedroom pop? Also signed to Topshelf lol. Includes front woman/guitarist Sab Mai (her voice is smooth like butter), bassist Marisa Saunders, and keyboardist Nat Lee. Nat signed a poster for me and her signature has a panda bear doodle in it. Love!

-Ginger Root: Indie pop, kinda funky, very summery. Led by Cameron Lew!!

-Hana Vu: Singer-songwriter-producer all-around Cool gal (Korean & Vietnamese). Indie rock/pop? i think.

-Mellow Fellow: very mellow lmao! Synths, chill. Solo-project of Polo Reyes (Filipino).

-SALES: Indie pop, light & breezy. A duo that includes Jordan Shih on the guitar/programming!

-Crumb: Jazzy, indie rock. Fronted by Lila Ramani (Indian-American). Four piece band went to Tufts soOooooooo Boston-based at one point? :~)

-i///u: “neo-soul”. Features drummer Billy Wu and keyboardist Jason Chan.

-Phum Viphurit: neo-soul & indie rock! Thai singer-songwriter.

-Strawberry Generation: indie diy? pop. Features vocalist/guitarist Luk Yean (Singaporean) and vocalist/keyboardist Valerie Zhu.

-Art School Jocks: “existential basement pop.” Their website is down so I’ll update later ig, but I know that two members are Asian, just forget which ones yike

-Sobs: indie pop! Singaporean band.

-Superorganism: Fun Internet pop band. The lead vocalist Orono Noguchi (Japanese) likes Goodnight Moon ASMR so yes. Also includes backing vocalist/choreographer Soul/Earl Ho (Korean).

-Tangerine: Indie rock three piece band! Featuring sisters Marika and Miro Justad (half-Korean).

-Kero Kero Bonito: fronted by Sarah Midori Perry (half-Japanese). Pop! But now a little more rock with her newer stuff? Anthony Fantano gave her albums good ratings if that means anything lmao

-beabadoobee: indie, acoustic-y, kinda soft and sad lol. Project of Bea Regner (Filipino).

-Sunset Rollercoaster 落日飛車 : Taiwanese band. Soul, chill.

-Ruru: Solo project of Denice Quimbo (Filipino). Bedroom/dream pop but also jazzy-ish.

-SASAMI: dream pop, lo-fi, indie rock, all that cool stuff. Project of Sasami Ashworth (half-Korean). She was in Cherry Glazerr at some point too!

-corner club: indie duo, jazzy but also folksy, cute songs? Acoustic guitar. Everyone needs to listen to ‘em!!!!

-Say Sue Me: South Korean indie surf-rock band.

-Miya Folick: Indie pop! Half-Japanese singer-songwriter.

-Haley Heyndrickx: Indie folk singer-songwriter (Filipino-American). Lots of guitar.

-Lucite Tokki: Korean duo. Indie/synth pop.

-Dama Scout: Indie rock trio fronted by Eva Liu (vocals & guitar).

-CHAI: Japanese indie pop band. Super catchy!

-Raveena Aurora: Indian-American singer-songwriter. Voice is smooooth & she is a Queen.

-SATICA: Project of singer-songwriter April Nhem (Cambodian-American).

-cehryl: One-woman show (Chinese). V chill.

-RINI: Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter.

-Sam Rui: Singaporean singer-songwriter. Some soul too!

-Joy Crookes: Half-Bengali singer-songwriter. Amy Winehouse 2.0!?!??!

-Joyce Wrice: Half-Japanese singer-songwriter.

-Jeff Bernat: Filipino-American singer-songwriter. Sometimes raps!

-Alextbh: Queer Malaysian pop and r&b artist. Him and Sam Rui collabed on a song! V chill.

Electro-Pop:

-Sundial: pop duo featuring Dorothy Chan (Chinese) and Jisu Kim (Korean). Cute stuff! They do some really nice YouTube covers and they both went to Berklee so they were Boston-based for a bit :~)

-khai dreams: idk his name, but khai dreams (half-Vietnamese) is a one-man show! Soundcloud vibes, like the lo-fi, Anime Study Beats side of it. I went up to him after one of his shows to be like “when’re you coming thru NY again?” and he misheard me and was like “i don’t work here” and i just walked away because anxiety yikes

-ÊMIA: Anh Le’s project! Idk when i’ll post this, but she just released a new song and it’s on my morning commute playlist lol.

-Manila Killa: V electronic. Project of producer Chris Gavino (Filipino). I first saw him in an interview with sidewalk talk (Asian-led interview series! And a really good one; def check it out!) and he seems like a really cool guy!

-Yaeji: Not really pop ig lol. Korean-American electronic musician.

Math Rock:

-Elephant Gym: Taiwanese band. Also kinda funky/jazzy! And also signed to Topshelf lmao. A fave right now; i have their audiotree live session on repeat as study music!

-Covet: Fronted by Yvette Young, who plays guitar and holy crap! So talented!

-Tricot: Japanese all-girl band signed to Topshelf :~)

-Conan Gray: half-Japanese singer-songwriter. Indie pop, a King.

-mxmtoon: half-Chinese singer-songwriter, ukuleleist. Cute tunes.

-Louie Zong: his tunes! are so cute! and funky! Also went to tufts so…boston?!?!?

-Mabel Ye: love! her! ah! She collabed with Louie so that was like a better crossover than infinity war ever was.

tomando en cuenta la petición que muches de ustedes enviaron al formulario, esta semana estaremos tocando una temática familiar para conocer un poco más sobre los trasfondos de les personajes. para ello, el proyecto seoulmate se puso en contacto con un familiar de cada participante y les invitó a vivir un día junto a elles. los gastos de transporte y hospedaje fueron cubiertos en su totalidad por el gobierno surcoreano, arribando durante la noche del lunes para partir la madrugada del miércoles.

a continuación te explicamos un poco más de la dinámica:

les familiares serán personajes jugables durante esta semana, pero on-rol sólo estarán en el proyecto por un día. por lo tanto, les pedimos que envíen el fc elegido + nombre + parentesco, para de esa forma llevar un control y los rostros no se repitan.

pueden elegir a abueles, padres, hermanes, primes o une mejore amigue en caso de ser hije únique. la única condición es que sea alguien que le conozca desde hace años y no se trate de una relación casual/amorosa.

de no contar el rostro con recursos, ¡no pasa nada! pueden rolear sin ellos.

por favor les pedimos tomar mucho en cuenta la etnia del rostro elegido para familares. si el personaje es japonés esperamos que el hermane también lo sea, pues no permitiremos mezclas de etnias a menos que se trate de una familia adoptada y no biológica.

les familiares podrán responder starters e incluso abrirlos. pueden rolear de la forma que prefieran, tanto una escena donde participante + familiar estén juntes, el participante en solitario o en su defecto el familiar a solas. eso sí: pedimos que les participantes estén presentes al menos en dos convos para contarlo como actividad.

tienen la libertad de subir sus atuendos, mas no contarán como puntos añadidos al total de su semana.
