My headcanon for the ending of Stone Ocean is that Hermes showing up as a hitchhiker right before Anasui can ask Jotaro for Jolyne's hand in marriage is because Jolyne actually ends up falling in love with her after travelling together and breaks up with Anasui

I don’t keep up with anime or manga anymore but whenever I remember the rollout for Stone Ocean I am filled with so much rage.

It’s my favourite part but I never finished the anime because it felt like homework and I just lost all motivation to care.

A THREE PART ROLL OUT can you believe it. 2 years for like what 40 something episodes? Thats like a single arc in some massive shounens that have adaptations. Fucking crazy

PUCCI. OH MY GOD I HAVE THOUGHTS.

he’s so well-written. like i can absolutely see where he’s coming from with the whole heaven thing. the lengths to which he’s willing to go to achieve his goal. his learned hatred of the joestar bloodline. his original design and ESPECIALLY his final outfit. the prime number thing was also a nice quirk.

spoilers for stone ocean under the cut:

the way DIO lives on through him. like he was ready to bring around a goddamn apocalypse as long as it meant he could achieve heaven in DIO’s name. (particularly with how DIO translates as “god” from italian.)

the parallels between him and the book DIO was reading. the protagonist of the book is a priest commits adultery—he’s a priest who, in a way, commits adultery against god with DIO. the protagonist becomes a painter—pucci paints the sky a myriad of colors as made in heaven accelerates further and further.

not so much pucci perhaps, but made in heaven in general. OH MY GOD. it’s one of the stands that actually, genuinely scares me. like nightmares after watching the end of stone ocean, can’t be under the night sky in a rural parking lot for too long kind of scared.

my brain is a bit soup right now but i could go on. pucci is the character that absolutely MADE part 6.

I really hope that they animate each of the Brando kids backstory since they already did that with Lang Wrangler also I really hope to see them come up with an original backstory for Ungalo since he didn’t had one in the manga but canonically two of them have their own but I’m really concerned on how are they gonna handle Donatello’s backstory since it’s basically the plot of the book “wholes” which can be seen as another copyright issue (besides the bohemian rhapsody arc which was obviously solved) but I really hope they include his backstory though

Part 6: Pone Ocean 🦋 (3/3)

- Even though none of DIO’s other sons are unicorns, they all possess somewhat supernatural abilities (which turned more magical once Mantra found them)

- Sky Fly can communicate with bugs, and later on realized he could control them

- Rhapsody, originally a freeloader who would just daydream and stay in his own fantasy world, can now bring those fantasies to life

- Down Under would often find things buried underground- mementos, artifacts, even just things that people lost, which later became the power to dig up actual memories. Mantra found potential in this power especially and believed it would be the key to bringing back DIO (he would have to find another way to do that after D.U. defected)

- The thing with Mantra becoming an alicorn and DIO’s horn is that it’s so much magic, continuously becoming more and more powerful, that it becomes harder and harder to control as well (think to the Tirek episodes when the princesses had to give Twi their magic). There’s not really a certain place Mantra had to reach to “ascend” like in canon, he was mostly stalling till he grew powerful enough to do what he needed to do

- …which would be his downfall. with great power comes great possibility of erasing yourself from the universe apparently

Cuz in the EOH sound files he called himself by Versus which made me think ??? I mean I know it might be for the copyright stuff but still makes me feel confused mostly.
