Why is Oren just ALWAYS there

I have a fic idea that one day avery just disappears from oren's sight and this dude's freaking out like all "CODE RED!!!" and all of that but then he sees Jameson, asks him where she is, and he takes oren to a room and avery and other Hawthorne house residents (even laughlins etc) scream "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" With a cake and everything for oren's birthday. At first he's angry but then avery puts a birthday hat on him and he's like "okay… that's actually nice… thank you 👉👈🙂"

I'm begging you someone write it.

Have you ever imagined the tig series from Oren's POV? I have, and in my mind this man is TIRED of everything and everyone. Sometimes I tend to forget that this man is everywhere Avery goes even if it is a few paces away, he is still there. If I am not mistaken in most of the romantic scenes he is there like hidden somewhere. Imagine how awkward that must be for him.

For me he is like: "oh yes, Jameson sneaked into Avery's room again. Is he a threat? I don't think so. I don't wanna know what they are doing."

Avery is so adorable in the first 2 books, the way she keeps looking at Oren if he’ll have a reaction whenever anyone would do or say something. Like guys, He’s also her dad ☺️

the hawthornes and co and their favorite book genres

jameson - thrillers, horror, murder mysteries, but also sometimes loves fantasy because of the politics and magic systems (i feel like he'd be into that) also because in fantasy books, characters tend to do reckless things in war and stuff (jamie and his risk taking), and dystopian (BASICALLY ANYTHING OK) (also sometimes indulges himself in a romance book or a book with a romance subplot)

grayson - classical and romance

xander - dystopian, romance (sometimes with smut), or smth educational

nash - romance (he loves smut...)

avery - murder mysteries, thrillers, and romance (sometimes historical romances), and fantasy sometimes to escape the real world (i think that's smth she would want to do sometimes)

libby - fantasy (she loves reading about magic systems and different political systems) with romance, plain romance

max - romance (with smut), fantasy, murder mysteries. basically anything that has romance in it.

rebecca - romance, murder mysteries, classical, historical

alisa - classical or educational (she also sometimes loves indulging herself in a good romance book every once in a while)

oren - dystopian (a dystopian romance book every once in a while cause he's secretly a hopeless romantic), thrillers, murder mysteries

thea - only reads for school. absolutely despises it with a passion.

Ok, but like, can anyone tell me how Avery and the Hawthorne brothers had time for solving the mystery when it clearly took hours at a time just to find one damn clue but they were going to a prestigious private rich kid school which means they were definitely still assigned homework which they had to dedicate at least some time to. And homework can still take a long time, mind you, even when you're a genius. Like, did Alisa, Nash, or Oren get on them to focus or what? I can imagine Nash hounding them when he finds them, sternly reminding that it's still a school night and they need to do homework that's due the next day or goes off about an assignment that needs to be done in the next while. I would bet Grayson had no trouble getting his homework done immediately when he was still at Heights Country Day but I get the feeling that Jameson is a terrible procrastinator, and Xander just does things spontaneously in between making new Rube Goldberg machines.

I would just like to give appreciation for John Oren, best and most loyal bodyguard. Although the security had its faults and flaws but he protected Avery from danger including people like Ricky Grambs, Skye Hawthorne, Sheffield Grayson, The Blakes and most importantly, Jameson Hawthorne.
