i hope squall's redemption arc isn't so much gaining morals and becoming a better peson but just gradually being domesticated by morrigan and co until one day no one's afraid of him anymore. he says something deranged and evil and everyone's like haha omg ezra that's absolutely insane please go to therapy you need to unpack that

I do find it interesting how people genuinely believe Dazai's going to be the one to defeat Fyodor.

Let's just look at who's defeated major villian's in the series so far.

Fitzgerald was defeated by Atsushi and Akutugawa. Goncharov was defeated by Atsushi and Akutugawa.

Akutagawa kicked Hawthorns ass and than Lucy had him imprisoned in Anne's Room.

If it weren't for time travel shenanigans Atsushi would've killed Fukuchi. Atsushi killed Shibusawa in Dead Apple. Atsushi defeated Gabriel in 55 minutes.

And so on and so fourth.

Atsushi is also the one Fyodor's been trying to get his hands on from the beginning. Fyodor literally just left Dazai behind in France to go to where Atsushi is currently.

And it seems like the dude from the epilogue we saw fighting Atsushi (and than Akutugawa) is what's being summoned.

Not saying Dazai's never contributed to a fight but when it comes to taking villian's down, it's not him doing it.

And even if your talking about Fyodor's ability, there's no guarantee it would even work on Dazai to begin with.

And Atsushi has the ability to seperate a person's ability from themselves. Which would be a neat callback to Dead Apple but I doubt it'll be that simple.

I know it's apparently very easy to forget but Atsushi is the main character. He's the cat and Fyodor is the rat like... Come on.

avery and libby head canons

omg i literally can't stop posting. pls stop me it's an addiction.

avery and libby rewatch gilmore girls every fall bc it used to be avery's mom's favorite show

after avery's mom died, they both dyed their hair purple (i made a post about this) libby's head was fully purple and avery dyed the bottom half of her hair purple (idrk how to explain).

they love to complain with to each other about their bfs shenanigans

before avery inherited the money, they used to go out and drive around silently. that's how they would relax/decompress

they watched the first seasons of greys anatomy (the ones that were actually good) when they had nothing to do.

avery and libby go on monthly trips together (might just be somewhere in the us, or in europe like greece)

after libby's honeymoon, avery and her celebrated her new beginning by going to spain or smth (just the two of them) (nash did the same thing with his brothers)

they both have plenty of embarrasing stories about one another, so when one does smth that pisses the other off, the other will go tell one of those stories to the brothers.

during the eras tour, avery and libby (and literally all the hawthornes and rebecca) sang and cried to tolerate it (they all somehow relate to it; avery and libby with their dad, the hawthornes with their dads etc)

they really enjoyed the lover set

one of their surprise songs was clean and libby got really emotional so avery and her just sat there hugging.

they vibed so hard to midnights

when avery was younger, she used to love love story cause she wished someday she would have her own romeo. she was so obsessed with the song that she literally had a love story inspired birthday. when love story came on during the eras tour libby teased her so hard (avery was a hopeless romantic when she was younger but then realized how shitty the world was and lost hope in ever finding love)

avery and her mom used to love easter cause they both loved chocolate. whenever easter comes around, libby makes sure to buy avery a hug basket of chocolates that they eat together whilst talking shit about people.

bc they were so poor before, they never really got to buy each other birthday/christmas gifts, so, now that avery has money, they always spend thousands of dollars on each other

libby hates valentine's day bc of drake so she doesn't really like going on dates with nash on that day (they go either before or after, they have their own day that nash calls valentines (nash's version)) so avery always brings her out to shop. they then proceed to trash talk drake and other people. one year they even ended up getting drunk, and jamie and nash were so surprised cause they aren't the type of people to get drunk.

avery used to have a roblox bf when she was like 7-8, so libby always teases her about him (he actually ended up being like a 40 year old predator).

libby and her both love shoes so they always go out shoe shopping. grayson sometimes tags along cause he loves fashion.

thats it for now. i actually didn't expect to have so many ideas for them and might make a part two. avery and libby have such a great bond. i wish we saw more of them during the og trilogy. (again sorry for any spelling mistakes, i'm to lazy to proof read this)

Everyone waited. But you remained quiet on social media. Your last social media post was a picture of Franchescat in a sushi costume, which your cat obviously hates. But you shared a couple of Instagram stories after that. The latest was in the last week of November. So they expected that you are not fully on a social media break. You don’t have any known public appearance too. 

A few days later, you didn’t attend the premiere of Don’t Look Up, a movie you lead in. But your account simply retweeted a Netflix tweet about the release of the movie. Your fans were curious if there was an issue going on between you and Jin as you didn’t post anything for the so-called tradition. It didn’t help that the gossip news outlets milked the sudden coldness of your and Jin’s social media accounts.

“Please welcome, the star of the two films, From The Other Side and Don’t Look Up, Y/N!”

The Roots played a snippet of Mayer Hawthorne’s The Walk as Jimmy Fallon introduced you. You entered through a big, blue curtain, gracefully dancing to the rhythm. The studio audience cheered and clapped as you stun them with your black Atelier Versace dress and matching thigh-high boots. You and Jimmy danced around, with him twirling you around before you sat on the spruce blue sofa.

“Hi, guys!” you greeted everyone as you shifted on your seat, and everyone cheered in response.

Jimmy clapped, “It’s so nice to see you. You look fantastic!”

“Oh, thank you.” you smiled. 

This is your fourth time guesting on The Tonight Show and Jimmy always made sure to make you comfortable. Unlike the other late-night host you went to before. He was genuine and even dropped by the green room before the show, to have a quick chat with you.

“Thank you for coming to the show again! Congratulations on your two recent films!” he exclaimed. “Don’t Look Up is still one of the most-watched films on Netflix today even after weeks of release! I watched it and it was so hilarious. Adam Mckay, who was one of my good friends and colleague from SNL, wrote and directed the film. How was it working with an amazing cast?”

“Oh my god. It was a dream come true. I almost died when I saw Meryl Streep entering the set. She is one of the actresses I look up to. Then, Ariana, who is a very amazing person–”

“Yeah, she’s the best.” Jimmy agreed.

“We would go to each other’s trailers every time. She is so fun to be with! We would pull childish pranks on Jonah or Timmy.”

“Speaking of Timothee Chalamet, isn’t this like your third film with him?”

You nodded, “That’s right! We’re getting tired of seeing each other on set at this point.”

Everyone laughed, including Jimmy. “But you two have great chemistry together! Lady Bird was amazing and so are your versions of Amy and Laurie from Greta Gerwig’s Little Women.”

“Thank you, Jimmy.”

Other than Jin, Timothee is the actor you often collaborate with. He is a great guy and very nice to work with. Hailey told you before that your fandom with Jin and with Timothee would sometimes have bantered on the internet. Especially when the other gets content and the other doesn’t.

“And now, you have another movie coming up.” he moved to another topic. “And you were one of the producers!”

You smiled, “Yes. It’s From The Other Side, written and directed by Emerald Fennell. I worked with her in Promising Young Woman. So, I already said yes to doing it when she tap me in for the lead role. It feels so great to work with her again.”

“You told me backstage that it’s a suspense film, right?”

“Yes! It will be a thriller movie mixed with a bit of comedy. It centers around the commonly overlooked issues and efforts women had to go through to attain equal respect and recognition as the other sex.” you explained.

“That sounds great! I saw the trailer for this and I have to say, the visual aesthetic for it is really eye-catching.” Jimmy noted.

You nodded, “I know! Everyone really worked hard in doing this film.”

“And it’s coming out this weekend! It must have been a great head start of the year for you.” he said.

“It is. It is.” you beamed. 

It was only the first month of 2022 and you cannot deny how happy you are to have another movie out now. You’ve been working consistently for the last decade and you don’t think you’ll be stopping anytime soon.

“By the way, I heard you welcomed the new year on the other side of the world?” Jimmy punned and he highlighted those words with his tone.

You gasped and giggled cheekily, pointing a finger at him, “That was good! I like that! And yes. I did. I and my close friends flew to South Korea. It’s my first time celebrating the New Year ahead of everyone here and out of the country.”

Just by the mention of the country, the audience cheered again. You didn’t even mention who these friends were. But they seemed pretty aware since everyone knows a certain person, who’s close to you and had connections from South Korea.

“Yeah? How was it?”

“It was amazing! We really got to see and enjoy the culture there since my friend basically became our tour guide. We stayed there for like a couple of weeks and he made our stay in this traditional Airbnb. It was winter and I remembered I was almost frozen when I forgot to turn on the heater.” you told him, making everyone laugh.

Jimmy pulled out one of the few pictures you let the producers have since you haven’t really posted about it online. It was you wearing layers of clothes to warm up yourself in the chilly weather of the East Asian country. You were wearing a cap, a pastel pink scarf (that almost covers half of your face, baby blue mittens, and crazy layers of clothes. You were unrecognizable. Someone would have to stare you in the eye to recognize you.

“Yeah, that’s me.”

“You look so cute! What is the most memorable thing that happened during your stay there?” Jimmy asked.

You let out a sigh as you think of it, “Probably when we visited my friend’s family and we were wearing hanbok, which is their traditional clothes. Then, they gave us a lot of gifts. I feel like a child all over again.”

“Well… is there any chance we know this friend of yours?” Jimmy tried to ask with a teasing tone. 

You laughed before acting coy, “Maybe you do, maybe you don’t.” Jimmy acted disappointed and everyone laughed including you. You consoled him, “Nice try though, Jimmy.”

“I know.” he was looking down, still in his act. Until The Roots played a snippet of another song again. Jimmy looked up to the camera, “Y/N, everybody. We’ll be right back!”

Twitter’s top trends for that night were all connected to that interview. Y/N, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, JIN, CLOSE FRIEND, WHAT, FAMILY. The best word that would describe is probably mindblown. Especially when you finally posted pictures and clips from your New Year’s celebration in Seoul an hour after your late-night show appearance. 

‘Nice to be back after a month-long break :)’ your caption says.

Most of the pictures and videos were captured candidly. And one of them includes a clip where you were seen throwing snowballs at someone and an easily recognizable laugh can be heard in the background.

in reply to your recent post about the pirate au asks: i mean, what is there to say except for "tell us everything"? you mentioned coming up with a storyline in the tags, so im obviously wondering about how the characters met, esp phoenix and miles and phoenix and maya. also, the angst?? did you implement the dl-6 incident/disbarment/any other canon angst into this somehow? so yeah, whatever you can tell us, i'm happy with it. also my god is your art good, i'm endlessly fascinated by the sketches

hehe well EVERYTHING is definitely a lot to tell but i can answer specific things like how miles and phoenix meet (and meet. and meet again) and the beginning of phoenix and maya's friendship, but half the credit also goes to my beloved wonderful friend @/rendevok for allowing me to scream in her dms ^^

so! maya and phoenix :) they meet after the disaster that is the Hawthorne affair, where dahlia accuses phoenix of murdering another man, and he's saved by the wits of one mia fey, a clever blacksmith who's looking for a way to restore her family name after... less than pleasant events in the past. she later takes on phoenix as an apprentice, bc no one else would want to deal with a commoner who's made an enemy of nobles, even if they were at fault in the end, bc the social game is dangerous

obviously, mia's efforts end about as well as they do for her in canon, and she's murdered for her snooping. phoenix then meets maya, and after helping her keep the family smith in the aftermath of the suspicions over her sister's death, they both get into shenanigans over the next couple of years, out of their incessant need to help, and their talent of literally not being able to stay out of the center of attention (unintentionally), maya is essentially phoenix's partner in arms, all through the days of the smith, up until they're forced to skip town on a stolen ship with one trucy and one pearl in tow

miles and phoenix are far more complicated than they ever need to be, but that's like, half the fun yk? they've vaguely met when they were kids, and miles obviously still inspired phoenix's general moral code. But, gregory still dies, miles is still taken in by the von karmas and all of a sudden he's just a ghost in phoenix's memory.

fast-forward years later, and miles has definitely heard phoenix's name around, especially since the mia's death. how phoenix makes a habit of taking on strays and giving them the help they need to not end up alone, and his sheer blind faith in people, and it's almost too uncomfortably close to home for miles. still, he somehow manages to actually meet phoenix! a very limited number of times though.

Miles still has a high position as an advocate, and phoenix still is only a very busy blacksmith, and travel isn't as fast as it is in the modern day. But nevertheless, phoenix's words and conversations do enough to spark the need to truly understand what went on during his father's death, it's just only unfortunate that he decides to go about it on his own (but like. Think him solving this mystery with the help of his aai buddies so he's not completely alone :))

He still leaves, and phoenix watches him go, and as happy as he is that miles is trying to figure these things out, he wishes he could help, or make him stay. what's worse is that the world's worst game of telephone ensues and now phoenix hears news of the "miles edgeworth chooses death" bit, so fun times for everyone orz

but then the gramarye affair occurs, and all of a sudden there's a bounty on phoenix's life for hiding a murderer and possessing (faked) evidence linking him to it all. it's not a situation he can talk himself out of, so he runs with his family in tow and disappears onto the sea. And miles isn't there.

So his canon disbarment era is essentially his piracy era, and the changes are obvious. He's more jaded and cynical, and painfully efficient to a fault. You wouldn't be able to recognise the humble blacksmith anywhere in those eyes, and he knows it. whatever was left of him was buried onshore before they set sail, and he hasn't looked back since.

Miles only hears brief hearsay about the events of the gramarye affair and he's absolutely stunned because there is no way the phoenix he remembers could ever be the same as the criminal they're describing who's disappeared, but it's been long enough that he hesitates at the thought of searching for the man himself, he's not sure his presence would be warmly received either. However he doesn't have to wonder anymore, bc his latest voyage is interrupted by a pirates ambush, and it's led by the ghost of a man he never thought he'd see again.

From then on its only a matter of miles being taken as hostage, and as a bargain, receiving phoenix's word that if miles can beat the captain at a duel, he'll let him off scot free. But obviously it can't be that easy, where else would 90% of the tension in the story come from then?

and that's pretty much part of the set up for the au hehe, i wrote a whole heck of a lot and i hope you enjoy reading it holy hell fnkskf

Pitch for a reboot of “Ace Attorney” (essentially a new timeline but featuring the same characters):

1) For the leads:

The game is split by three campaigns, led by defense attorneys working for Fey & Co. Law Offices, which mainly handles criminal cases (and some civil cases).

* Phoenix Wright, who is one of the firm’s founders

* Apollo Justice, who is an experienced defense attorney who recently transferred to Fey & Co after witnessing blatant corruption in the previous firm he worked for

* Athena Cykes, who just passed the California bar exam.

The other two major characters are the other two founders, Mia Fey and Diego Armando, who are romantically connected.

2) For the assistants:

* Maya Fey, Mia’s younger sister who is working as one of the firm’s paralegals/secretaries, is Phoenix’s assistant.

* Trucy Wright, Phoenix’s daughter with the nun Sister Iris Hawthorne, is Apollo’s assistant. She is a law school student who also dreams of being a professional magician.

* Simon Blackquill, a former prosecutor who decided to switch to defense and join Fey & Co, is Athena’s co-counsel (which is pretty much the assistant role). He was assigned to supervise Athena since she’s a green attorney who just passed the bar.

3) For the lead prosecutors:

* Miles Edgeworth: Los Angeles’ leading prosecutor who frequently clashes with Phoenix.

* Klavier Gavin: A veteran, confident prosecutor who clashes with Apollo.

* Rayfa Khurain: A young, up-and-coming prosecutor who clashes with Athena.

4) For the final bosses:

* Manfred von Karma: A ruthless prosecutor known for their corrupt methods

* Kristoph Gavin: Apollo’s former employer who becomes the focus of a disciplinary hearing

* Franziska Rechtsanwältin: A corporate law attorney who is hired to sue Metis Cykes (in this reboot, Franziska is not Manfred’s daughter)

5) The main campaigns:

* Phoenix’s campaign is still about defending Miles after he’s accused of murder. However, the biggest change is that Manfred von Karma is no longer the murderer. Here, he’s just a really challenging prosecutor. The focus is solely on getting Edgeworth acquitted.

* Apollo’s campaign is centered on a corruption/ethics case against his former employer, Kristoph Gavin. Instead of a big murder trial, Apollo’s finale is a disciplinary hearing in which he’s trying to convince the bar association to disbar Kristoph.

* Athena’s campaign is centered on a massive civil suit against her mother, Métis Cykes. Despite the potential conflict of interest in representing her mother, she takes the lead in a case where Métis and her robotics company, Cosmos, are sued by a rival company, PhantomTech, for copyright infringement.

6) Miscellaneous plot points:

* In case it wasn’t obvious, this version is a more grounded, realistic take on the legal profession. So, no spirit channeling and less courtroom shenanigans. Think something closer to “Better Call Saul” or “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

* Part of Phoenix’s campaign is a subplot in which he tries to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend Iris. Part of the reason why their relationship fell apart was that Trucy was an accident, which was strained since Iris took an oath of celibacy when she became a nun. But the two at least try to be good parents to Trucy, despite their separation.

* Mia Fey is still murdered and Maya Fey is still the main suspect. However, Phoenix is told that he can’t represent Maya due to a conflict of interest (his near-familial connection to the Fey sisters). This leads to Apollo Justice taking over the case.

* The tutorial level is Mia Fey going through a mock trial in law school. Her professor, Winston Payne, stands in as the prosecutor.

Astarion would have a rivalry with Shar in a way ngl. He’s like that’s my girl just so we’re clear. Vampire Bride! Dark Justiciar! SH would be soooo extra. SH would find a way to keep power over him too somehow. A and SH would have a super back and forth, push and pull dynamic. They’d really have a long game. Super powerful both of them. Accidental equals and evil power couple.

The possibilities are truly endless. It’s great to speculate and indulge in what ifs! You’re very inspiring.

The lack of cute/sassy assist lines is part of why I wrote Deny Me Not Your Heart. The other part is I see all this hurt/comfort/injury stuff and no one is writing these for Shadowheart SHES THE HEALER GUYS, THINK ABOUT IT.

Bending canon is what makes us fanfiction writers, and never let anyone tell you otherwise. It's an art of balancing canon and the characters to what your vision is. A well done fanfiction is one that is almost indistinguishable from the actual story. That blurs the lines between canon and fan content. I wrote a whole speech that I had to cut to keep this from getting too long but short version, yes it is very fun bending canon!

I heard about the too prideful thing but I believe that was a cut epilogue card so whether it's canon is up for debate. But yes, he is pretty obsessed and I'm here for it.

A story with Tav as a shared ex would be very interesting! That's sort of the concept behind my longfic but instead of falling in love with each other, Ascended and Dark Justiciar end up having a Yandere 1v1 over their ex. But for the sake of discussion, let's say Astarion and Shadowheart end up fake dating to spite Tav but end up falling in love together instead. Sounds like an interesting prompt!

I'm more of a Tav shipper myself, if my content is anything to go by. But I agree, Shadowheart deserves more content!

I love Jack and I love Unit 919, but they never interact and it makes me so sad. Like, yes Jack hates Wunsoc to the core (as he should), but he loves Morrigan and understands her want for the family that Wunsoc gives her. I’m sure he can do the same for the Unit. Personally, I think that Mog should 100% sneak Jack into Wunsoc via the Wundrous Arts (I’m thinking Veil and Weaving if she makes him invisible, or maybe Masquerade him into a Wun (can you even Masquerade someone else? I suppose Squall Masqueraded Morrigan), or maybe have Cadence mesmerize everyone) and he could hang with the Unit and ultimately do some Shenanigans™ in Proudfoot House. 

Anyway here are the dynamics I think Jack would have with the Unitmates (minus Mog, Cadence and Hawthorne, who he has met in cannon) 

Thaddea - Jack doesn’t like Thaddea. She’s very loud and impulsive, things Jack doesn’t like. But he respects her strength and determination. 

Anah - Thinks she’s just a scaredy-cat at first, but comes to love her as a little sister type.

Francis - Jack would love Francis’ cooking and be a very enthusiastic taste tester, but I think he might be annoyed when Francis gets the recipe wrong and gives Jack stage fright, or some other annoying feeling. 

Lam - I’m not quite sure, but I think they’d have a sort of silent respect for each other. 

Mahir - Jack and Mahir will be bffs. I mean Jack would love to be able to swear in other languages, especially if the Graysmark teachers won’t understand what he’s saying! I also think they’re pretty similar, as they both give off older brother vibes and they both can be cool but a little nerdy. 

Arch - This may come as a bit of a surprise, but Jack would definitely vibe with Arch. They both hate their knacks, but are forced to use them (for Wunsoc or to spot wunimals infected with the Hollowpox). It seems as if they are gradually accepting their knacks (hard to say with Arch though, maybe I’m connecting dots that don’t exist). Also (according to my headcannons of Arch) they both lost their parents in a tragedy, and what better to bond over than dead parents? Oh and I bet that Jack hardcore ships Archthorne, he’s always conspiring with Morrigan to set them up.
