Rewatching part one makes me remember just how yaoi they were god I love these two<33 JONATHAN JOESTAR HAS TWO HANDS HE CAN HAVE A LOVING WIFE AND LOVING HUSBAND

I love how they met by fighting in an alleyway but then Speedwagon fell in love with how much of a “gentlemen” he was while fighting. And then they kissed on screen trust me guys they kissed they are in love.

And I adore how Speedwagon is so useless in part one cuz all he does is “BLOODY HELL!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE HE JUST WENT AND DID THAT!! BY JOVE HOW WILD!!!” But had the LARGEST impact throughout the ENTIRE anime with his silly foundation that has lasted for over 90+ years.

Kars

Initial Reaction: Kars is initially confused. He’s never cared for emotional attachments beyond the other pillar men, believing that love is a primitive feeling that doesn’t align with his perfect vision of himself and the world.

Thoughts: I never needed love... I don’t need anyone. But why does my mind keep returning to this…human?

He’ll resist the feelings at first, viewing them as an imperfection and a flaw. But with time, he finds himself drawn to you, fascinated by your existence.

Evolution: Kars doesn’t fully understand love, but he’ll never admit it. Thoughts: This... this is different. I have never felt this urge to protect anyone  with my entire being aside from my masters.

He’s a bit confused at first, unsure how to navigate the feeling of wanting someone’s safety as much as his own.

Evolution: He grows to accept it- a deep, loyal love that isn’t possessive, but moreso built on a foundation of respect and strength. His love for you is a quiet, enduring force.

Action: Wamuu will express his love through actions rather than words, always striving to protect and fight by your side. His loyalty to you would be unshakable- if you’re in danger, so is he.

Esidisi

Initial Reaction: Esidisi is initially frustrated by the realization. He’s all about passion and power, but the feeling of love feels softer than his usual feelings, and he’s not sure what to make of it.

Thoughts: I... am in love with this human. How is this possible?

He’ll see love more like an overwhelming, all consuming force, one he can’t fight against. He wants to possess you, but in a way that is deeply rooted in a need to keep you safe and close.

Evolution: Esidisi grows to revel in the feeling. Love becomes an addiction for him, a source of power and strength. He becomes more obsessed, willing to do anything to maintain your affection and devotion.

Action: His love would be intense and slightly overbearing, but never cruel. He’ll spoil you with everything he can offer, while simultaneously warning others that you’re his. Anyone who threatens you will suffer his wrath.

Kira

Initial Reaction: Kira doesn’t know how to handle this. He’s a perfectionist, and love feels messy, untidy. He doesn’t want to lose control, and love seems to demand it.

Thoughts: Why does this person make me feel this way? I don’t need this...

The realization comes slowly, creeping up on him when he notices how his thoughts always return to you. He might try to deny it at first.

Evolution: As much as he tries to control it, Kira becomes obsessed. His love is possessive and suffocating, hidden under the guise of politeness. He doesn’t know how to express it. His love for you will be something more dangerous than anyone realizes.

Action: Kira would try to keep you close, doing small things for you, like buying you gifts and making sure you're always safe, all while making sure not to get too close. His love is twisted, with an underlying need to make you feel like you belong to him. For your sake, he tries to keep his other violent urges at bay.

Diavolo

Initial Reaction: Diavolo would never admit to being in love. He’s obsessed with control and the concept of fate, and love doesn’t fit into his perfect, planned world.

Thoughts: Ridiculous. I am the ruler of this world, and yet... why are my thoughts plagued by this person?

He struggles to accept this weakness, dismissing it at first. But over time, it eats away at him.

Evolution: Diavolo would try to suppress it, but his need for you would grow, and his obsession would turn darker and more desperate.

Action: He’d want to keep you close, ensuring no one else can have you. His love is possessive and manipulative, he’d control everything, from your actions to the people around you, all to maintain his hold on you.

Doppio

Initial Reaction: Doppio is different from Diavolo in many ways. He’s more open to emotions but still caught off guard.

Thoughts: I love this person… Oh, no. What do I do now?

Doppio’s reaction is more pure, filled with excitement and confusion. He wants to express his feelings, but he’s unsure how to proceed without screwing things up. Especially considering not only his job and lifestyle, but his other half.

Evolution: He grows to enjoy this newfound love, feeling elated but still unsure. He’s not as manipulative as Diavolo, but his desire to have you sometimes gets the better of him and he may be a little.

Action: Doppio would be all about taking care of you, always trying to please you and make you feel special. His love is earnest, though he might not always know how to keep it from being too overbearing.

Enrico Pucci

Initial Reaction: Pucci, being a deeply religious man, feels conflicted at first. Love is supposed to be pure, but this feeling is all consuming, and he’s unsure how to reconcile it with his sense of fate.

Thoughts: This... is destiny? The Lord’s will? Or is it a weakness?

I know I've critiqued jojo's bizarre adventure a decent bit here, but I am being completely honest when I say that I genuinely think there is not a single bad part of jjba.

Part 1; Phantom Blood: The beginning. Some of the most iconic lines and the start of one of the most iconic villains. Short and sweet

Part 2; Battle Tendency: Best Hamon usage. One of the most iconic jojo's. Displays strategic combat excellently. Fascinating LORE.

Part 3; Stardust Crusaders: The introduction of stands. Some of the most iconic and badass fight scenes in the entire show.

Part 4; Diamond is Unbreakable: My personal favorite jojo. Beautiful change of pace and structure. This is when stands start to get really creative in capability. Arguably has the greatest villain of the entire show.

Part 5; Golden Wind: Best supporting crew. Necessary LORE for background and for the next part of the series. The fight scenes (while always good) seems to really get consistently amazing by this point. One of the most intelligent villains in the entire series.

Part 6; Stone Ocean: The end of the original universe. A beautiful conclusion to the story Dio set in motion. Excellent fight scenes. The first time a jojo gets a significant character arc. Some of the best characterization jojo's has to offer.

Part 7; Steel Ball Run: Araki's Masterpiece. This is definitively the best jojo's part. Best character arcs in the entire series. Intriguing philosophical ideals being put to the test. Also arguably has the greatest villain in the entire series. Best stands in the entire series.

Part 8; Jojolion: While I haven't finished this part, it has the best setting in all of jojo's. Excellent mystery elements/writing. Fascinating worldbuilding.

7) Jonathan Joestar: Sorry king. I probably will like Part 1 when I get to it for your goofy, himbo ass and its gothic tone but you have the most cishet energy I've ever seen. 6) Joseph Joestar: Gains points for having the most gay and colorful intro, loses points for being friends with a Nazi; has more queer energy than his grandfather tbf. 5) Johnny Joestar: That outfit is a little fruity; ditto with the blue lipstick 4) Jotaro Kujo: More gay coding than trans coding but I can definitely see it, especially with his Part 3 self being an overcompensating male stereotype 3) Josuke Higashikata (both 4 and 8): Both parts have the more positively masculine personalities I associate with trans men, plus the iconic "It's me" TikTok for Part 4 Josuke 2) Jolyne Cujoh: She is the most transbian girl of all time. Hates her dad. Beautiful design. Loves the idea of having multiple sexual partners. I am not biased at all. 1) Giorno Giovanna: My friends might glaze him too much, but he is the only character I can credibly see as genderfluid, a trans man, or a trans girl.

whooo I finished ep 4 and 5 of The Heart Killers

I still don't like Kant, I'm warming up to Bison, still obsessed with FadelStyle, and I want Style carnally.

I'm also really interested in how they're using the music and soundtrack to emphasize the emotions of some scenes.

This post is about to be longer than my usual since it's covering two eps but anyway

Spoilers under the cut !

Me when I overanalyze my BL:

First and foremost, that pat down scene in ep 4 where Fadel maintained eye contact with Kant as he searched him... How do u put that there and expect ppl to not imagine things, Jojo..... 😫 Even the goofy music in the background couldn't dissuade me from thinking they should hate fuck ☝️ but anyway

It's very obvious that while Style isn't fully committed and his feelings for Fadel are just starting to bloom, he definitely wants that man. Atp where we are in ep 4 he's obviously lusting after that man (face economy, body tea). I mean he gave him, apparently, the best sex of his life in a grief meeting storage room. He let the man cut his little crop top off. The lust of it all is so real. But I think now, after the chase, after spending more time with him, especially after hearing how Fadel was asking where he was, he's pursuing Fadel with more sincere intentions and I think he truly wants to know Fadel more. And lord have mercy, that scene in the woods.

That scene in the abandoned warehouse in the woods, aside from the iconic "I don't like that I miss you", is when I first noticed the soundtrack specifically highlighting the emotions. Now, I know soundtracks are meant to do that but I think they're doing it in a really fun way IDK They put a lighthearted cute, and low-key hopeful, little tune over a heated make out and handjob. It felt like it reflected their emotions in that moment really well and how the audience is meant to see the scene. It's not just a hot and heavy make out session because yay official, it's an indicator of a turning page, especially for Fadel. It's a signal that he can get butterflies in his stomach too, even with his enormous walls and stoic mask (defense mechanism), and I'm sticking to that interpretation. I love u my emotionally and sexually repressed little hitman.

And then Kant came in and decided NOW is the perfect time to finally tell his friend that oh yeah ur new bf is a hitman. It's not even that part that actually annoyed me, it's the little quip when Style says gunman instead of hitman. Like I'll kill u with a gun Kant. 😭

I fear I may never truly warm up to him, he is so annoying to me. 😔

Okay so ep 5, I kind of warmed up to Bison. He's cute he's fun, he's totally ignoring his instincts about Kant even tho he knows better. He seems less than helpful in most scenarios though, but whatever

There were two scenes that caught my attention and they were obviously meant to:

1) Kant and Bison post coital cuddles

2) Style and Fadel's intimacy towards the end of the ep

I'm mostly talking about the music again and the intentional use (or absence) of it. During the KantBison scene, when Bison is being so gentle with his kisses and telling Kant tender words, the music reaches a subtle crescendo once Bison says he feels like his life is changing since he met Kant and the camera lands right in Kant's distressed face. It was a great way to signal that Kant is gonna face the music very soon. I found that fun and I had to rewind a couple times just to make sure I wasn't making it up in my head. Could just be a transition sound choice, but I'm reading into it.

The KantBison scene felt like a big contrast next to the FadelStyle scene to me. At this point I think they're both feeling more than they're letting on for each other. Fadel and Style's night is, mostly, quiet. There's no backtrack for the most part. Fadel is splayed out in the bed just watching Style take his shirt off, exposing himself more than Fadel, and caging Fadel in by crawling on top of him. Style is on top of him kissing him, doing what he wants to, and Fadel is letting him. Style is telling Fadel that he wants to be trusted, he wants more from Fadel and he's willing to wait for him to be ready. He means it. And I know there's the component of this all starting for some car and Style now being aware of the reality of the situation but I think that's the point. That's the point of doing this specific scene with the absence of a backtrack until Style starts getting actually frisky. When Style is saying all of this and kissing Fadel's scar, we only listen to his words, their breathing, and their kisses. It's bare bones, but that's the point. To bare it all.

Did I read into that too much? Maybe! but idgaaaaffff. I'm eating this shit up and having fun dissecting things that maybe don't need dissecting. :P

I think it's obvious I'm more invested in FadelStyle than KantBison.... zorry! They put me-targeted drugs in FadelStyle. It's not my fault. 🧍

What the hell, I needed to unwind at work today, so I did this.

2004 - Why you gotta pit all these bad bitches against each other??? TT TT I literally like every single one of these OPs. I'd have to say for animation FMA 2003 OP 4, for song Elfen Lied, if I had to pick just ONE I'd say Elfen Lied is more unique, so I will go with that one. But man, what a way to start us off.

2005 - Immediately followed off with six OP i do not care for at all afdlkjalkrjklerj. Eureka Seven has the best animation I guess.

2006 - I was going to go with the Death Note OP, but I went and listened to Ergo Proxy's OP and got slugged across the face with nostalgia. I never watched the anime itself, but I downloaded the song at some point and did listen to it a lot back in the day, so yeah, Ergo Proxy's wins.

2007 - I like the Lucky Star, Gurren Lagann, and Clannad OPs, but I must give this to Hero's Come Back from Naruto Shippuden. I must. How can you NOT.

2008 - Resonance from Soul Eater. Hands down. Not even close. NEXT.

2009 - Was there ever any doubt it would be Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood’s first OP. Was there.

2010 - My Soul Your Beats is such a good song, man. Never watched the anime but I've been listening to Angel Beats' OP for over 10 years.

2011 - I enjoy HXH's OP a lot, but I think I'll have to go with Steins;Gate, the OP is really unique. That reminds me that I really need to get back to watching that one of these days.

2012 - Gotta go with Jojo's Bizzare Adventure Part 1 OP, man. That "JOOOOOOOJOOOOOOOOO" at the end is iconic. XD

2013 - If you thought I was picking ANYTHING but "Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen" from Attack on Titan, you were SORELY mistaken. One of the GOATs. And I haven't even watched the show.

2014 - I really enjoy Your Lie in April's OP, but I think I'll have to go with Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul. It's quite unique and fits the feel of the show perfectly, from what I can tell.

2015 - I was gonna pick One Punch Man if Death Parade wasn't on here, AND LO AND BEHOLD IT WAS. :V Noragami's 2nd OP is really good, too, though.

2016 - Mob Psycho 100, of COURSE. Though Haikyuu's 4th OP and Erased's OP are quite good, too.

2017 - ONE PIECE OP 20 HOLY CRAP NO CONTEST NOT EVEN CLOSE. “Hope” is one of the best One Piece OPs, fight me, top 5 easily.

2018 - My Hero Academia's 4th OP is my favorite MHA OP, so that one.

2019 - Oh man, there were a lot of good ones this year. Not a pick I don't like. Demon Slayer's has the best animation, but I must go with The Promised Neverland for this one. Such a pity they never got a season two. U_U

2020 - JJK OP1 wins by default.

2021 - okay so we're getting into uncharted territory here, I had never seen a single one of these before this list. I think I might go with Tokyo Revengers OP 1, it's the one that intrigued me most.

2022 - Oh there were some really good ones here. Spy X Family has the most interesting animation, Ya Boy Kongming! has the catchiest song, and Ranking of Kings makes me the most intrigued. Guess I'll go with the one I had the most fun watching. Ya Boy Kongming gets the gold star for this round.

2023 - TWO OPs from JJK seems a bit unfair, but JJK OP 4 legit gave me chills the first time I watched it, must go with that one.

2024 - Daaaaang there are some great ones here, too. I LOVE the animation in One Piece OP 26, but I think for uniqueness, I gotta go with Mashle OP 2. It singlehandedly got me to watch the anime, which means it did its job, lol.
