yanno when the magnus archives isn’t being abjectly horrifying or sticking a fork in my heart and twisting the tissue like spaghetti, it is genuinely the funniest shit ever
just relistened to 176, fully expecting to be relive the tension, the raw suspense, of basira threatening our protagonists. now its fully sketch comedy parodying the “shoot him, he’s the clone!” trope. it’s just jon weaseling around in the background with golden commentary such as “you could do a poem” and Martin complaining that his arms are tired while being threatened at gunpoint during the end of the world
