Hi there!! Was a big fan of jsab back then and got very excited when I realized 'TILL IT'S OVER was an actual OST and not a fan OST

Big fan of the skins... even if they aren't out yet.. John Doe as the main antag, and Elliot as the cube friend.. very awesome picks for these guys ngl...

when someone made a concept skin for 1x1x1x1 as the boss in the Barracuda level I had a neuron activation. Warning for slight spoilers for jsab's story mode??

Guest1337 could be the Boat friend,

Maybe Chance could be the square player?? With a reference to the final boss fight?? Because of gun.

No idea who could be the Helicopter friend. Wait. Maybe Two Time after their rework update. That lever scene in story mode always gets me.

On the other hand 7n7 could be a normal plant friend to parallel with c00lkidd as the Lycanthropy boss...

I had ideas for who could be the boss from La Danse Macabre (Noli) buuuuut. Uh. That might be three layers of references by then, no idea for the Spider Dance one too but same spot with La Danse Macabre for the amount of references..

I would go call the jsab characters with common fan names but it might be confusing for those who aren't even exposed to those..

things i noticed in my most recent jsab playthrough that u might not have:

- the square starts off broken at the beginning of the game ? like theyre in pieces and those pieces come together to form the player

- the corrupted flowers make piano noises when they first pop out of the water

- theres a part in sevcon where, when the circle in the middle is absorbing other circles, it kind of bounces to the beat every time a circle hits it! its hard to see if youre not paying attention (completely understandable)

- in subwoofer dubstep, the rain from the ceiling actually fills up the level with water (this might be common knowledge but i personally never noticed until now)

- the helicopter leaves a trail of rainbow particles when they fly :]

- in that one part where the square is on a conveyor belt running from buzzsaws, the piles of stuff being shredded are various trees and things from paradise, one of which is the bird cage from the lost chapter!

- the 3 birds from the lost chapter also appeared at the end of the game before the extra chapter was even released

- the pink boss guy has a machine in the factory with the sole purpose of pushing flowers over. this boss is like a middle school bully i love them

- THE BEGINNING OF TRY THIS IS TOTALLY A JAMES BOND REFERENCE AND I ONLY JUST NOW GOT IT. GOD

- i also like that the background in Try This has many elements from the factory in the overworld. ik its pretty obvious. i just think its neat

- i might make a separate post abt this but the boss is very clearly Bug Coded. and the changes to their appearance they go through throughout the game makes me think of metamorphosis. you understand

- like an evil butterfly

- in the lost chapter, theres what appears to be several fossils underground. this implications of this drives me nuts

A quick and admittedly lazy reference for another character, mostly to figure out the colors. This is my version of the helicopter from JSaB, which I’d been procrastinating on actually giving a design for five years, LOL. Finally took the time to sit down and make a design I’m happy with though. Worth it.

Felt like sharing some old-ish JSAB fun facts and stuff from memory for those who haven't been around or active as long.

The Main Menu Theme is actually, iirc, a remix of one of Tokyo Machine's tracks, which is "Pixel".

The color code for the JSAB pink is #FF2071

We almost wouldn't have gotten Annihilate as the actual last boss theme. There's been delays and issues with the license, so in order to have a plan B, Danimal Cannon remixed the track "Prepare for Destruction" as a last minute replacement. But then things worked out and Annihilate became the boss theme.

The centipedes of Annihilate are actually called caterpillars, according to the Level Editor.

There's been a level editor available to some selected users. I was one of the first 10 to get access to it. You can find some videos of it on Lachhh's YouTube channel.

Sad Cube, Helicopter and Boat were inspired by Lachhh's kids. Which does NOT mean that they are children.

To that extend: none of the characters have confirmed genders nor ages and are up to interpretation. Lachhh refers to some as he/him in his streams but that's more out of habit. Not Canon gender nor pronouns tho.

A few additions (12/09/22):

Long Live The New Fresh doesn’t actually have vocals. A lot of people mistake the version from the Lunaria album as the actual LLTNF. But there’s been a version out there before that, and that OG doesn’t have vocals.

The level editor had an enemy type that were like little squids. They were little triangles with little wiggly leggies.

There was once a little coding error in Spectra on the Switch version which caused the lengthy rotating bar towards the last part of the level to rotate at twice the speed than usual. And that in normal. That was bc of a little mistake regarding the coding convention of floating numbers. While americans would use a dot for floats (2.0 as an example), europeans use a comma most of the time (2,0). This error apparently snuck into the line for the speed of the rotating bar and instead of have a speed of 1 point something, the european system read it as 1, full stop, 2. And went with the latter value, resulting in the bar instead spinning at a speed of 2. Or something along the lines.

Blixer is not the actual name of the main antagonist (Long Live the New Fresh). That name was coined by a user in ye old days and the name spread like wildfire to the point were people mistook it for the canon name and even harrassed blogs who didn’t use the name (not joking).

Nicknames: Heli (pretty much everyone)

Description: At first glance, one could say Helicopter is... definitely that one socially awkward friend. She's very shy around new faces and often just flies the other way to avoid contact. But if you (somehow) get to know her, she's a total sweetheart and will love you unconditionally. Her only downside? She's not the most gentle of Shapes, and she has quite the hair-trigger temper...

Totally marvels Lycanthropy (mainly for her dancing)
