i should probably wait for a time that isn't nearly midnight to post these but: on the topic of "jsab characters in soundscapes", i found these drawings from jan 2020 that uh. as far as i can tell i never shared anywhere? which is extremely unusual for me

Swears, Friend, Fresh, and Duet but Soundscapes-ified! like RR's alt / more detailed design from a bajillion years ago. if these guys do show up in Soundscapes i have no idea what Duet's deal would be but i love their design

=02= - =The Guardians of the eternal flame= Kiro, Sora, Cassie & Pyrax.

We are the ones who remember. In silence, we stand. In shadow, we watch. Not for glory. Not for praise. But for the light yet to come.

We guard the Pattern, that it may never fray.

We shield the Spark, that it may never fade.

We endure the flame, so others may dream in peace.

Through storm and stillness, across time and ruin, we are the unseen hands that steady the world.

We are the Guardians of the Eternal Flame. Bound not by power, but by purpose.

Until the last star falls— we endure.

I wanted to give each one an distinct identity & design, an distinct development, that could be explored in a prequal chapter.

But love in times of upheaval demands sacrifice. When the Calamity stirred anew, Kiro gave up one of his lives to protect Alley from the wrath of Prism, a decisive act that nearly cast him into eternal slumber.

Though his soul slept, his vow endured.

Now, in the present age, Kiro reawakens as a silent sentinel—a night watcher cloaked in shadow, steel, and solitude. Donning a face mask to conceal his identity, he roams forgotten roads and city rooftops, defending the helpless from the creeping threat of the dark seekers. Exposure to countless winters and spiritual trials has honed in him a rare resilience—his body now resistant to cold, his spirit tempered for what lies ahead.

When he rescues Qu from the edge of despair, he offers not just safety, but something greater: mentorship. In Kiro, Qu finds not just a guardian, but a mirror of quiet strength and unwavering purpose. Through blade and bond, Kiro teaches him to fight, to stand, and—above all—to believe.

Kiro’s flame does not burn bright. It burns steady. It endures. Unyielding. A dawn yet to break.

Under the enigmatic guidance of Shade, they delved deep into the arcane, mastering the elusive art of celestial conjuration. The spellbook they now carry—weathered and woven with stardust—once belonged to Shade himself, gifted to Sora as a testament to their rising brilliance.

Beside them dances Nova, a creature of pure light and the last of her kind. More than a companion, Nova is an echo of stardust memory, a radiant bond forged through shared purpose and wonder. Together, they drifted between realms, speaking with constellations, weaving light into form, and drawing meaning from the void.

But wonder alone could not shield against ruin.

During the Great Calamity, a shattering pulse of destructive force struck Sora down, costing them their left eye. In its place, a star-shaped mark now glows faintly—a constant reminder of pain endured and the clarity that followed. That moment tethered Sora not only to loss, but to a renewed vow.

In the current age, Sora walks a quieter path. Alongside Pyrax, the Golden Sage, they mend what was broken—guiding the flux of essence and tending the spiritual ley-lines scorched by fire and chaos. Where once they soared recklessly through stars, now they move with grace, humility, and purpose.

Still, Sora looks up.

For in every shard of starlight, they see possibility. And in every mystery, a call to dream deeper.

After Kiro’s fall, she vanished.

Alone, she wandered forgotten lands: fireless shrines, ancient caverns, and whispering forests. She sought not restoration, but understanding. Through silence and stillness, Cassie came to know the ember—the quiet flame that does not rage, but endures. The fire that remembers.

In the present, Cassie steps once more into the light—not as a warrior, but as a guide. She walks beside Blaze, a rising flamebearer, teaching him restraint, compassion, and control, so that he might wield his fire without being consumed by it. Her lessons are not of conquest, but of balance.

She is no longer the fire that dances in celebration.

She is the one that remains.

His staff, forged from splinters of broken timelines and alternate futures, is both anchor and antenna—an artifact that grows with every journey he makes across realities. Some say it hums with songs of futures that never were.

In the Golden Era, Pyrax served as a quiet mentor to Alley, seeing the potential in her long before her awakening. His guidance was never loud, never direct—only gentle nudges, hints wrapped in riddles, patience woven into prophecy.

When the Great Calamity shattered the world’s harmony, Pyrax did not rage, nor fall. He endured, as he always had.

Now, he walks beside Sora, tending to the wounded threads of reality itself. Together, they restore what they can of the celestial order—guiding energy, not through domination, but restoration.

Beneath his enigmatic calm lies a deeper truth: Pyrax is one of three halves that form Triaxia, the divine essence of the universe itself. What he does, he does not only for this world, but for all worlds.

He is the whisper before awakening. The silence between collapse and creation. The ember that remembers everything.

I've been having fun coming up with the lore's for everyone, to give each and everyone a unique narrative that can be weaved into a uniquely intricate world.

Not every part of the lore is final for everyone, so there'll be an update at some point for everyone.

Jsab Levels! Part.. Uhh. 5? I think it’s part 5 anyway-

The first 5 Extra Levels!

Lantana, AKA Legacy! A teenage flower that’s a little small for their age who lives on a forested island out to the East. Lana(as they like to be called) loves to hang out in trees, and mimic birds, as well as explore the forests of their home. They’re a very excitable flower and love to make friends!

Wicker, AKA Wicked! She’s not actually mean or wicked in any sense, she’s actually pretty nice! She just really likes the Goth aesthetic, and feels awesome in fishnets(which is SO valid and if you do wear lotsa fishnets cuz it makes you feel nice then just know that ily so much/p). She prides herself on being a fun person to be around, and wants to meet more people who are like her.

Loriadori AKA First Crush! The odd Demigod of Love, Lori is a sweetheart and a matchmaker, who loves hugs, sweets, and company. She herself is Aromantic, and not interested in a relationship herself but finds lots of joy in helping other people find love. She is very good at relationship advice, and also helping with getting over things like breakups.

Iris AKA Yokuman Stage! A gentle flower who lives in a mountainous village out to the West of Paradise. She is known to be a bit mischievous but he also doesn’t mean harm, just liking a little harmless fun. He loves cooking(especially baking!) and bakes the best cookies in the village!

And lastly for tonight...

Dolly, AKA Paper Dolls! A very tall, mute headless shape who simply Exists. Nobody really knows much about them, except that they tend to ‘stare’ at things they like, including blooms, flowers, shapes, areas, and animals. They are very sweet and enjoy hugs, with their sweater being very cozy and soft.

So…I did it! I made the guardians.

In order of Appearance: Corrupted, Legacy, Chronos, Logic GateKeeper, Glitch, and Parallel Processing.

I want to thank @askthesepolygonpals @galactagoddess @mathon for the insparation. And I thank 404 for the designs of the Unity Guardians. I’ll Post them seperately tomorrow.
