One of the things I had to do on Halloween night was change things from Halloween to Christmas.

And yes. People came in looking for Halloween stuff as I put it away. It was awkward.

Yeah. I’ve pet a few dogs pre pandemic, and some as things have relaxed.

OH BOY ITS BEEN A WHILE BUT DO I HAVE A STORY FOR YOU GUYS

So as we all know the pandemic has been slowly ending because of vaccinations.

And this woman comes in, with her dog, which is usually fine, I like dogs. They’re cute.

She walked around bought some things, and then as she approached she pulled down her mask. Red flag number 1.

But I smile at the dog behind my mask and this lady says “you have to take off your mask you’re scaring my dog”

I look at her, then the dog. The dog is panting happily.

“They seem perfectly fine to me.”

“You’re scaring my dog. Please take off the mask.”

This is the most ridiculous one I have heard in a while.

“No, store policy”

And she throws a fit, during which I just look at her stone faced.

She eventually leaves with a “you’ll never have my business again!”

The whiplash of it being Thanksgiving and sitting in a store with Christmas stuff is a lot. But ya know. At least I won’t have to see many customers today.

You may think whatever you want to think about me.

However, sometimes it is nice, seeing people buying presents, a friend, a couple, a family for kids.

Then again, in the days after Christmas, it’s rough with the returns and the sales and everything.

“But Jeff what sales could Five Below have? It’s Five Below!”

I hear you. And it’s not so much the sales. (Because they don’t exist here) As much as it’s the idea that we probably have a sale. Because other stores have sales.
