And he really just wants to wrap him in blankets and hiss at anyone who glances in Thors direction. Loki realizing Thor hasnt been sober in 5 years. Everyone is like he has to go back. And Thor is actively in tears and Loki is like Nope. You can't make me. Hey, oaf, you brought me here. Show me the sights.

the more I think about this AU the more I like it and GESTURES AT PILE OF WIPS I DON’T NEED TO START ANYTHING NEW but hey stashing it away and if it eats at my brain for long enough…

but yeah, basically, this is TDW!Loki who has cooled off post-Avengers but is still pretty far from being his best self, only…Thor is such a mess and yeah, someone who isn’t him (is Thanos, who, Loki’s not a fan) fucked him up and that’s!! not okay!!!! 

and like. Loki’s not great at comforting people. he’s just not a very comforting person. so here he is like, trying to pat Thor awkwardly on the shoulder like “there, there, it’s, uh, fine, you’re okay?” and then turning around and hissing at everyone else like “isn’t this supposed to be your job, aren’t you supposed to be his friends, what have you been doing”

(everyone else is like “um, wrestling our own trauma mostly” which is not a good enough answer)

and also keep, yeah, trying to tell Thor that no, he can’t keep him, you can’t just kidnap people out of the past, Thor, that’s not what we’re doing here and Thor’s like. cry-yelling about how “YOU CAN’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO”

and Loki’s like “okay let’s get out of here and go somewhere nice and quiet and you can…cry on my shoulder, I guess, oh, is that what we’re doing now, this is very uncomfortable.”

Thor’s like, semi panicky, “YOU AREN’T LEAVING ARE YOU” and Loki’s like “no actually I’m okay with not going back to a prison cell and also this is what happens when I leave you alone and I’m not enjoying this experience of being the more functional sibling so you need to get better so that can not be the case anymore, okay? or…something”

Loki is about two inches from grabbing Thor, noping out, and saying “later days” to the whole concept of fighting Thanos because yeah, you do that, I’m taking my traumatized brother and going

so far i have found one (1) which i have enjoyed, The Face of All the World. it’s about esme and carlisle meeting and was enjoyable to me because im weak for dr vampire content, HOWEVER it’s in first person and the first section is an account of her old-timey life including spousal abuse & the death of her child so like. woof. also the most major downside of this and all other twilight fic that i have read is that it is just deeply, passionately caucasian

what i’m saying here is that i have highkey BEEN sifting through the madness and UHHHHHH a whole lot of it is madness we need some new fresh content i can’t read any more summaries of first-person fics abt incest & self-inserts & harry potter crossovers my fight or flight instinct is Tired

He also went to Asgard at one point to check up on what Odin had done with the Tesseract, and he’d left upon being satisfied with the protections the gods had put around it. They were powerful enough to deal with anything short of Gabriel himself. Um. Is khonshu gonna GET a priesthood? Cause I can see that happening. Moon Knight not really hiding who he worships etc and Gothamites being who they are putting their faith where faith is due. The guys being kind of thrown like um? O-okay. Cool. Khonshu would be tickled I think. (Btw Marlenes whole thing hurt me and now I think of Steven/Jake/Marc as The Guys cause they're different ppl on the inside and I'm emotional)

Ngl that is precisely where I’m heading - I think the fact that Moon Knight believes to the point where he’s going out and taking out dangerous people would have an impact on the masses. And yeah, not everyone is going to be a fan of him taking the execution route, but. Some people would definitely be grateful. 

Marlene in the comics is someone I want to like, but...I never really felt anything beyond annoyance for her complete lack of research/understanding/adjustment when it came to Marc’s mental illness. Which could absolutely be my day job getting in the way, but still. I always felt bad for Marc, Steven, and Jake, because that situation was not fun for anyone.
