Hello.. as part of the #RevoluciónJuliantina movement, we´re creating a documentary about the juliantina fandom, if you wanna be part of it or just want to jhelp us, you can answer this form... you can fill it and then say no to the documentary. But answer it would be really helpful for this project.
It´s on english, spanish and portuguese.
It'll mean the world to us... thank you.
Sometimes I forget the fact that “Juliantina movie” will be the first LGBT movie made in Mexico and it will have a lesbian couple as the main characters and that the writers literally opened a site where people could share their experiences and ideas for the movie but maybe the most important thing is that we have Maca and Barbara putting their hole heart on it
Was a continuation of the Amar A Muerte universe where Juliana and Valentina are just being domestic and in love, having arguments and being dorks with each other, I’d watch the hell out of it
If it was a completely different love story where they’re Enemies to Lovers, and Barbara is a bossy mean girl and Maca is an overeager new girl and they butt heads first, have lots of sexual tension before ultimately falling in love, I’d still watch the shit out of that movie
If it was a Childhood Friends to Lovers where they’ve been best friends since they were little kids and then they realize they love each other, have to fight the odds and then get married, I’d fucking love it
What I’m saying, is give me any form of Barbarena on screen being a romantic couple, and I’m happy because their chemistry is unmatched.
Our voices are a tidal wave, a hurricane, howl through the night! It’s no longer about just the bottom line, it’s about what the people want and we are being heard!
“Juliantina” will have a spin-off and movie, confirmed by producers Billy Rovzar and Carlos Bardasano
Macarena Achaga and Bárbara López, who played a couple in "Amar a Muerte", announced the surprise during the Hoy program.
Juliantina, one of the most successful couples of Amar a Muerte, will have a spin-off series and a movie, announced the producers Billy Rovzar and Carlos Bardasano exclusively on Hoy, and detailed that Leonardo Padron is working on both scripts.
Since the telenovela came to an end in March, the fandom demanded by all means--including murals and spectacular displays--for a spin off of the characters played by Bárbara López and Macarena Achaga. Now, the actresses and the producers announced that the dream of the fans will come true.
"Movie, we have been working on the spin-off as a series, but that depends on many things. Leonardo Padron, the original writer of Amar a Muerte, is writing the series right now. Eventually there will be a series too, we are committed," said Rovzar, who highlighted that the fans can give their ideas for the movie as well as for the series through an app.
It’s just as important for the producers as it is for Macarena Achaga and Bárbara López to continue listening to the requests of the fandom. The actresses revealed that were very excited about this new project and that they would give everything to see the reactions that their fans will have with this news.
"I would pay to see their happy faces, because it’s the something they got (...) I am very excited to hear their stories, their reality, how they lived, that is the most emotional for me," said Achaga.
For her part, Lopez is grateful to all of those who have shown their love since the characters came out and now, the fans were able to achieve a series and a movie.
"We are super excited. I want to mention that all this is happening for the fans. They are heard, they have accomplished a lot of things, they have made spectacular displays, they have won us the awards,” she emphasized with a smile.
