MINI MENACE ANTAGONIST STUFF: significant lore changes and other details in loose chronological order:

Sphinx bribes a guard to get something hidden in the catacombs. The guard is then killed so there's no witnesses.

The Mini Menace group primarily fights The Mime (powers of fox miraculous fae), and Mr. Pigeon (powers of weaker butterfly fae). Both flee when Sphinx gets captured. Emilie also works under her father using the broken peacock miraculous to create traps in the city for the heroes. Continuously using it is what makes her health decline.

Richard Sphinx was brought down by the vigilante group and arrested, but the aftermath was still an incredibly tense few years

In this AU, a lot of traits that fit canon Gabe are shifted more to Richard Sphinx, so Inheritance!Gabriel is more of a puppet this time than anything (sorry dude I'm stealing your agency 😭)

FELIX FAMILY, MIME, PIGEON, PAPILLION:

Amelie was in an arranged marriage with the son of a late Pergue investor. Her husband kept her name since it was more significant.

He was a good partner and father, though they both knew their marriage wasn't romantic. The two were good friends and took care of Felix together.

Her husband began acting strange and paranoid before going missing when Felix was a teenager. He was eventually found dead two years later with no explanation.

Gabriel and Emilie got married before Sphinx was arrested, and with the surprising approval of Richard. Gabriel stayed wary about him, but proceeded with the wedding. Emilie never tells Gabriel about working for her father. (He learns later)

Felix and Bri don't fight against Gabriel as Hawkmoth in their time, they fight against a masked antagonist named Papillion. Richard Sphinx is in jail at this time, so they rule out him as the new antagonist, but Tikki thinks it's Null again somehow

Papillion works with The Mime and Mr. Pigeon, but the hero duo mostly fights akumatized civilians every day. Mime and Pigeon come out and serve as “mini bosses” type of figures to them. Papillion can be seen observing some fights at the very ends, but always disappears without a word as soon as the two notice him.

Bridgette later learns in her civilian form that Mime is Nadja Chamack’s husband, and the father of her friend, Julien.

She asks Tux what to do (without directly saying she knows Julien, just that he goes to her school), and he suggests that the two of them ask for Julien's help to confirm Mime's identity

He agrees after some hesitance, but only if he could ask his friends (Melodie Bourgeois, Hermes Cesaire, and Bridgette Dupain-Cheng) to also help him. The two heroes agree (and Bridgette tries to find a way to get out of it directly in her civilian form)

Julien confirms it's his dad, and the three friends help catch him after a confrontation by Julien with him goes awry

Pigeon joins the fight with Mime, but surrenders immediately after Mime gets beaten

Scarlet and Tux's final fight against Papillon lasts for days. It's the two of them, but they keep getting unexplained help throughout the fight (they get resources like food when hiding, but most notably Papillion seems distracted at night or is drawn elsewhere entirely at night. They both swear there were distant sounds of fighting, but they can't pinpoint where.)

This is not the first instance they've revived mysterious help in the years they've been heroes, but it is the largest scale of it

Eventually Tux comes up with a plan that leaves Papillion stumbling and wounded; but he leaves before the two could get to him and attacks Felix as a distraction

Scarlet helps Tux out of the debris, and follows his orders to take him to a certain safe location. He also tells her to leave before her miraculous goes off.

GABRIEL AND “GABRIEL”:

Since marrying Emilie and Richard's arrest, Gabriel has been having hallucinations of Richard Sphinx and other past enemies, growing in frequency and intensity over the years.

It gets harder to distinguish reality, and it's when Emilie falls into her coma that they overwhelm Gabriel and render him vulnerable enough for Null (who'd been using a weaker fox fae power to manipulate and exhaust him) to forcibly take over his consciousness and identity

“Gabriel” closes actual Gabriel's previous atelier and instead doubles down into a new company: Agreste Fashion

He frames it as a dream venture between the couple, and between the sentimental campaigns, old connections, and old Pergue investors- it becomes almost an overnight success. The new brand boasts high employment rates in their warehouses, enviable work environments, and overwhelming opportunities to make connections and network in the fashion world. Extremely desired industry

In two years time since “Gabriel” has made the company, it's as big of a presence and wealth, if not better and more reputable, than Pergue was all those years ago.

Amelie is extremely cautious of “Gabriel”, but pretends not to be solely for the sake of being able to see Adrien in his civilian form

Amelie also seeks confidence in Nathalie after her sister fell comatose, and asks Nathalie to take care of her nephew.

Null, obsessed with the power of the company, is a LOT more indifferent to Adrien than the canon, controlling father figure; so he's able to get away with a lot more.

Nathalie helps him sneak breaks between his initial home school lessons and work at Agreste (he models but not enough to be the face of the brand- Null doesn't want one person being the representative of the company because it would mean working closely with them. Null wants to spend as little time with people as he can, including Gabriel's own son) She also helps cover for him if he ever sneaks out. Nathalie knows Gabriel is different, and does her best to keep Adrien away from this new influence the best she can
