and as much as you enjoy listening to his endless supply of stories, you’re a bit tired today and it’s starting to get too much 

not wanting to disappoint him, you wonder if you could come up with an excuse to ask him to stop talking

when no words come to mind, you get a different idea

mid sentence you lean in and place a kiss on his lips

he’s stunned for several moments, not having expected a kiss at all

and while he does seem happy about it, there’s no way he’d let anything keep him from finishing his story cjbxnxnx

“Uhm, babe… I was about to make a point here, so…”

simply keeps talking????

so you do the same again and this time he continues his story as soon as your lips leave his kasjlöfksa

you’re gonna have to give him more than a couple of pecks to shut him up for good

he’s scolding you for something minor like you forgetting to put your dishes away

and you get that he’d be mad about it if it was something that happened frequently, but this is the first time you forgot about something like that since you have started dating

so you get a feeling he’s not actually as mad at you as he seems, and instead he must be overall stressed

you do try to apologize but he just keeps complaining, his frustration only growing

and so you decide to kiss him in order to make him stop

he’s surprised when you briefly press your lips against his, and when you can see that he’s still upset, you give him another kiss

kissing him properly this time, you can finally feel him relax against you

you can immediately see regret in his eyes as he opens them to look at you

“I’m better now… sorry for taking it out on you. I shouldn’t have done that.”

he apologizes with his head hanging low, unable to even look at you now

however, you simply offer him a hug, telling him that you understand

you’re having kind of a play fight that’s getting way too competitive

at this point you’re not even sure what you’re arguing about anymore, you just know it was something utterly insignificant

getting kind of tired of it now while Jiseok just gets more and more into it, you decide to put an end to it at once

so you lean in and before he can realize what’s happening, your lips are already pressed against his

blinks a few times and looks at you with raised eyebrows after you pull back, trying to understand what just happened

is definitely blushing and stutters on for a while, before he pulls himself together

then you just see him smiling mischievously as he continues talking, and you just know he’s up to something

just when you sigh and want to walk away, he grabs your hand, suddenly seeming sulky

“I thought you’d keep kissing me if I continued rambling!”

you let out a huge sigh at his logic, but can’t help the smile creeping onto your lips because of his innocence

you attempt to argue back, but now it’s you who doesn’t know what to say

so you simply give in and fulfill his wish, because who are you to say no to an invitation for more kisses from your boyfriend?

you can see that your boyfriend is bothered about something

you figure it would help him if he talked about it to get it all out, so you keep nagging him about it until finally he sits down with you and explains his problem to you

however, once he starts talking he can’t stop, and you can see the exact moment the conversation isn’t helpful to him anymore 

instead, he starts agonizing about it instead

though you try to make him see things from a different perspective, it doesn’t help him much

so you realize you have to do something else if you want to help him

you simply lean in and kiss him softly, trying to convey to him how much you care

he immediately kisses you back, as if he was thankful that you shut him up

after kissing him for a while, he seems to have calmed down a bit and his frown disappears as you pull back

you suggest doing something fun instead, but he’s quick to snake his arms around you, pulling you close

“I think I prefer some more kisses, actually…”

and so you simply smile at him, cupping his face in your hands

and then you kiss him again

is giving you a detailed explanation about something guitar related

you have been curious so you thought you could simply ask your boyfriend about it!

you think the way he’s really getting into it is super adorable, and the happy smile on his face as he talks makes you happy as well

that’s until suddenly, you get an idea

without thinking about the consequences, you lean in, pressing a lingering kiss to his lips mid-sentence

he’s completely stunned when you pull back, taking some time to recollect himself before complaining

“I was talking!! You didn’t have to-” - his voice goes higher and higher until eventually words fail him and his ears are beet red

whines at you now as he can’t handle the embarrassment - and he’s also a tiny bit frustrated that you interrupted him

so you take his silence as an opportunity to simply kiss him again

and he does kiss you back, but once you give him an opening he will just whine again

in the end he makes you assure him that you were just messing with him and didn’t get bored of his explanations

you give him a few more kisses as an apology

Jooyeon:

it started as a normal conversation that somehow took a detour in his head

and now you have no idea what he’s talking about anymore

you just know he’s excited and trying his best to get his point across

and somehow that’s just very endearing to you

not to say you’re getting a little carried away by his smile and childlike excitement reflecting in his eyes

but you are getting carried away by exactly that jdhdndn

and before you know it, you find yourself leaning in to press a soft kiss to his lips, shutting him up in the process

he blinks at you once, and then twice, gaping because he did not see that coming and you have successfully interrupted his train of thought

has no idea what he was talking about anymore and then suddenly gets very quiet

awkwardly scratches the back of his head as you assure him that you don’t mind, he was just too cute and you couldn’t help yourself

he absolutely lights up at you calling him cute and then demands more kisses while pouting

normally, the sound of front door opening would draw your attention.

jun han entered the room, slowly and as quietly as possible taking off his shoes. the guitar on his back gently rocked because of the movement so he took the case off, leaning it against the wall.

then he looked around, rubbing his cold hands together. he should’ve listened to you and brought his gloves. speaking of which… the light was on in the living room. maybe you were watching something?

but it was so quiet. the soft sound of his feet paddling against the wooden floor echoed through the room.

his eyes softened upon noticing your silhouette on the couch, blanket draped over your shoulders.

it was 2am and to be frank – he told you he’ll finish quickly. but one hour turned into two and then suddenly: into four.

jun han stepped closer and smiled upon seeing your cheek squished into the pillow. guilt washed over him for making you fall asleep in such an uncomfortable position.

your boyfriend kneeled down and poked your cheek gently, watching endeared how your eyelids opened slowly. then, your sleepy eyes lit up upon seeing him.

“ah, you’re back! i’m sorry for–” you started but were interrupted by a yawn ripping out of your body. jun han shook his head and reached his hand out.

“i’m sorry, baby. the practice stretched out… you shouldn’t have waited” he sighed and helped you stand up. his heart melted upon seeing how you clutched the blanket.

“but i wanted to” you grunted and rubbed your eye, letting him lead you to the bed.

“you’re so cute” he mumbled, placing a tender kiss on your forehead.

“how did the practice go?” you asked and let jun han tuck you into the warm, soft bed.

“amazing, sweetheart. i’ll tell you more tomorrow, hm?” he murmured and quickly went to the bathroom, changing into pyjamas.

once back, he didn’t even have a moment before your arms wrapped around his waist. jun han let out a cute chuckle and tucked a stray strand of your hair behind your ear.

“sweet dreams, baby” he smiled softly. you only hummed in response, going back into sleep. of course your dreams will be sweet with him by your side.

sitting on junhans bed, you barely realized how late it had been. you had sat there watching him game for nearly two hours now and you could feel your eyes closing as the time went on.

“junhan….” you said while reaching out for his hand

“aw love, are you getting tired?” he asked as he saw the slight droop in your eyes

“just a little” you said after letting out a yawn and junhan giggled

he told the guys he was going to go ahead and get some sleep and that way he could spend some time with you.

he turned off his monitor and told you to stand up for a second so he could make down his bed.

he let you climb in first as he knows you like the inside of the bed more.

“aw my baby is so sleepy” he said while laying down next to you

“watching you game made me sleepy” you said while leaning over to rest your head on his chest.

you loved this. the dim lights in junhans room, the way his hand that was around you rubbed up and down the side of your back, his heartbeat ringing in your left ear, and the sound of his light breathing that you could feel on your forehead.

being so close to him and just wrapped in his being was more than enough to send you into a peaceful sleep.

once he hears your breathing become more relaxed he also begins to drift off into sleep.

waking up in his arms with his chest pressed into your face and his legs tangled with yours almost made you not want to get up.

“jun” you said lightly while pressing your hand to the side of his face that was resting so soundly next to yours.

“mmgmg” he said while stirring in-between sleepyness and being half awake

Many months have passed since the start of your and Hyeongjun’s “What are we?” stage has started. So many months that your group's first debut anniversary is coming up. Your group has long been suspicious about what your true relationship with Hyeongjun was. Not fully buying into your “we’re just close friends” dismissal of their prying questions. 

Hyeongjun’s members were growing quite suspicious themselves. The amount of time and the effort that Hyeongjun put in to see you was enough to make them raise their eyebrows. Like your members Xdinary Heroes weren’t buying into the “close friend” answer they got from Hyeongjun. 

Though you and Hyeongjun weren’t technically lying when you were telling your members that the two of you were only close friends. Sure the both of you knew that you liked each other, but with your busy idol lives confessing to one another and getting into an official relationship sounded like it would make things more difficult. Not to mention how scandalous dating is in the industry. That would be a whole other problem on its own and probably the biggest one keeping you two from getting together. The fear  of the backlash you two would receive for falling in love. So saying that you were close friends wasn’t a lie, because you two aren’t dating.

“Congratulations on your first year debut anniversary!” The MC of the show your group was on congratulated.  

“Thank you!” your group replied. 

“So debuting under JYP did any senior groups give you any advice when it came to debuting and idol life?” the MC asked. 

“Well our y/n here is actually friends with Xdinary Heroes Hyeongjun sunbaenim.” Your group leader placed their hands on your shoulders. 

“Oh really?” the MC said. 

“Yes, he looked out for me a lot in my trainee days, so we grew quite close,” you spoke softly. 

“Speaking of your trainee days. I heard you had a nickname?” the MC brought up. 

“That’s right. They were called the ‘Silent Trainee’ cause they hardly ever spoke,” your member answers. 

“That’s true. In fact, their rap part in our debut song was the first time a lot of people in our company heard their voice,” another member added. 

“That’s crazy! Why were you so quiet?” The MC eagerly looked at you. You felt your nerves pick up and your mouth go dry. 

“Um…” You feel your group leader squeeze your shoulder comfortingly. It helped you relax a bit. “I’m very socially anxious, so I was mainly by myself or with my group members,” you explained. The MC nodded at you sympathetically. 

“Then by any chance when you said Xdinary Heroes Hyeongjun looked out for you when you were a trainee.” Seeing where the MC was leading with their statement you answered. 

“Yes he knew about my anxiety and that it made it hard for me to open up to people. He related to that he said that it reminded him of his trainee days, so he wanted to support me.” 

“Ah, so he saw himself in you and wanted to make sure you weren’t having a hard time?” the MC checked. 

“Yes,” you nodded. 

“Aww what a sweet guy. He’s a great senior,” the MC states. 

“Yes he is. All of Xdinary Heroes are very supportive seniors to us,” your group leader answered.

“Look.” Your team leader says handing you their phone. 

“What is it?” you asked, taking their phone in your hand.

“Fans are saying they wish they could see more of your and Hyeongjun’s friendship,” they tell you. You took your time to scroll through the comments reading them. “I wasn’t expecting to hear that y/n and Hyeongjun are friends, but I think it’s so cute <3” “So you’re telling me y/n and Hyeonjun are introverted besties. I love that”

“Why does hearing about Hyeongjun looking out for y/n cause he didn’t want them to go through the hard times he did make me want to cry???” “Hearing about their friendship reminded me that Hyeongjun held a y/n banner at their debut showcase. Truly a supportive bestie.” “We need photos of them together!!!” “I’m looking forward to any crumbs we get about these two.” “Dulusionally hoping for a friendship vlog or something.” “Not me shipping them.” You couldn’t fend off your smile while reading the supportive comments. 

“I wanna know more about your and Hyeongjun’s friendship too,” your leader raised a brow at you.

“All we are is friends,” you say. Your leader scoffs. 

“Yeah keep saying that till I believe it,” they remark. 

“We really aren’t dating,” you state. Your leader looks at you and your expression. They’ve gotten scarily good at reading you. They take a seat next to you. 

“Why not?” they pouted. You laughed. 

“Are you telling me to get into a dating scandal?” Your leader sighs. 

“Falling in love isn’t a crime. Dating being a scandal remains one of the stupidest things about our industry. It might not be like that for you and Hyeongjun though. You read the comments, fans think you’re cute,” they said.

“They think our friendship is cute. It would be another story if the word friendship was replaced with dating,” you expressed. 

“That one comment said they shipped you two,” they pointed. “But it’s not like you need to tell fans right away anyway. You’re young and should be in love without fearing public reactions.”

“We’d have to admit our relationship at some point and I don’t want it to tarnish our group’s or Xdinary Heroes names.”

“So you don’t ever want Hyeongjun to be your boyfriend?” Your leader’s question gets the gears in your head turning.

“I did a live earlier and some fans asked about our friendship,” Hyeongjun tells you. 

“Yeah I ever since I talked about it in that interview they’ve been curious,” you reply. The two of you sat on the floor of an empty practice room. An all too familiar spot for you both. 

“I was happy when you talked about me,” Hyeongjun revealed. 

“Really?” you say. 

“Yeah. I feel like you talked about more as a senior than a friend though,” he chuckled. 

“I felt like I had to be careful with my words,” you explained. “I don’t know how people would react if I said ‘We hold hands and he lets me sleep on his shoulder when I’m tired. Or we sometimes steal kisses from each other in dark practice rooms,” you whispered the last sentence. Hyeongjun blushes. 

“Yeah, that doesn’t really sound like friends does it?” he stuttered. 

“We both know we aren’t friends, Hyeongjun,” you state. 

“We aren’t together either though.” He begins to play with your fingers. 

“Should we change that?” you questioned. You lace your fingers that he was playing with his. 

“But with our careers…” Hyeongjun started. 

“Falling in love isn’t a crime, but I understand if you don’t want to risk it,” you say. Hyeongjun tightens his hold on your hand

“I am,” he firmly states. “I’ve liked you for so long, but I wasn’t really sure if I could ever have you.”

“You can,” you smiled. “You can have me Hyeongjun.” Hyeongjun smiles as well.

“You can have me too,” he said. Finally after over a year it was the end of your “What are we?” stage. The two of you were finally a couple. 

Your group found out about you and Hyeongjun being a couple the same night you returned. Your group leader could just tell that the smile you wore on your face was a bit different, happier. 

“No more ‘we’re only close friends’?” they checked. 

“We’re dating,” you confirmed. Your leader instantly started squealing which easily caught the attention from the rest of your members. 

“What are you squealing about at one o’clock in the morning?” your group’s maknae groaned. 

“Y/n and Hyeongjun are dating~” They sang in a sing-song voice. 

“I thought they’ve been dating,” one of your members said. 

“No, not officially at least,” your leader says. 

“Well congrats y/n,” one of your members says

“Yes congrats. Be happy,” another one chimes.

“But if he ever breaks your heart we’re all going to murder him,” your maknae states protectively 

“He won’t be able to escape us.” your leader agrees. The news of you dating Hyeongjun wasn’t surprising at all to your members. They were very supportive and just wanted you to be happy. 

Hyeongjun waited a little longer before telling his members about your relationship. Although his story runs pretty similar to yours. His members weren’t surprised by the news of you two dating either. 

“Y/n and I started dating a couple weeks ago,” Hyeongjun reveals to his members. 

“I knew she was more than your bias!” Jooyeon declares. 

“We all knew they were more than friends,” Seungmin retorted. 

“Yeah they way he would go out of his way to spend time with them. It was obvious,” Jiseok says. 

“Ok guys, let’s just congratulate him on his relationship,” Gunil cuts in. 

“Yes congrats Hyeongjun,” Jungsu voiced. 

“Kinda can’t believe he’s the first one out of us to date,” Jooyeon comments. 

Revealing your relationship to the public was something that always scared you and Hyeongjun. Dating silently with only your members knowing was one thing. It was a rather peaceful thing actually, but you both knew that once you told the public that peace could easily be ripped away. You and Hyeongjun were more scared about being ripped apart though. You bother were terrified of the thought that you might have to break up due to immense public backlash. 

After dating for eight months, talking it through with each other, your members and the company, you two decided to come out and announce your relationship. You both wrote handwritten letters to your fans and uploaded them. You even shared some cute couple photos along with your letters. JYP put out an official statement verifying your relationship as well and asking for fans to continue their support.

Of course the opinions about your relationship were mixed. Plenty of fans were happy. Some even said they were ecstatic that their ship was sailing. That they thought you and Hyeongjun made a cute couple. Some fans even joked that they didn’t know who they were more jealous of Hyeongjun for dating you or you for dating Hyeongjun.

On the other hand there were plenty of “fans” that shamed you two for dating. Especially so early on in your careers. They called you two shameless and betrayers. They called you lairs, claiming that you two were probably dating since the beginning of your career. That you and Hyeongjun got together when you were still a trainee. It hurt a lot to read all of the hate. You tried to focus on the positive supportive comments, but unfortunately the hate simply weighed heavier. 

You and Hyeongjun didn’t regret announcing your relationship. Falling in love with each other is not a crime and you knew with time the hate would blow over and it did. After a couple months everything has settled down. You and Hyeongjun were happily in love. Holding hands as you two went out on a date. No longer sneaking kisses in abandoned practice rooms. While he's distracted with the awkwardness, you cup his cheek, and making sure you align your faces correctly this time, you press your lips together. 

Gunil freezes for a second, then smiles and kisses you back like he has planned to do.

JUNGSU:

He gives you a casual little kiss on the cheek like he always does. 

He’s done this so many times before that you’ve already lost count, and you don’t even pay much mind to it anymore. 

On this day, though, you feel that this wasn’t quite enough, that you finally want to feel his lips on your lips instead on your face. 

So without thinking much about it, you go back and give him a quick peck then pull away immediately to see his reaction. 

Jungsu blinks at you with a flustered expression but he’s unable to hide the giddiness bubbling up inside him. 

He soon ends up giving you a hundred small and a hundred longer kisses.

GAON:

He’s watching you talk but he doesn’t hear a word of what you’re saying. 

He sees your lips move and somehow he’s unable to think about anything else except how it would feel to move a little closer and feel your lips move against his own. 

When you notice him staring and ask him what’s wrong, he just leans in and presses your lips together as if he’s possessed. 

He lingers for a moment before pulling away slowly. 

You can see that he’s already awkwardly clearing his throat and racking his brain to cover his embarrassment but you can’t let him go so fast, you pull him back for more.

He’s more than happy to continue kissing you for as long as you want.

O.DE:

He worked so hard on coming up with the perfect plan for this date and set up the scene for your first kiss.

He made sure that it would be a perfect and romantic day from morning until night, and when you say your goodbyes to each other, he would do it. He would kiss you for the first time. 

So why is it that when he finally feels your lips on his, it’s you who grabs his shirt to pull him in and he can’t do anything but go along with you? 

When you part for air and he sees the smile on your face clearly suggesting that you read his mind like an open book and you just decided to mess up his plan, he can only shake his head fondly.

It’s something that’s been on both of your minds for a while now, so when you feel like the moment is right, you ask him to kiss you.

It’s an awkward moment when your lips connect with his, not unpleasant, just unfamiliar. 

You pull away only to watch his dazed expression and give him a soft smile before putting your own hand on his where it’s holding your face. 

Then you lean in to kiss him again and lead his lips to your own rhythm.

JOOYEON:

It happens in a completely unplanned and quite unexpected way.

You’re just fooling around on the couch and he’s being particularly annoying about making his point, leaning into your space and making childish expressions.

So you can see only one solution in this situation.

You decide that you’re not backing away this time, you will push forward, and with a swift and decisive move, you press your lips together with his, making him immediately shut up and his eyes widen.

By the time you pull away, everything else is long forgotten, and the purposely annoying expression is replaced by an embarrassed smile and small giggles, as he asks, “Do that again?”

And you’re more than happy to kiss him again and again and again…

i think he’d be good at hiding it, so if it happens a few times - most of them you might not notice that he’s being jealous until later. but it really depends on the situation and the person he’s being irritated by. i see him pretty protective as a boyfriend, and if someone is really getting on his nerves he might turn quiet and reserved; just thinking about how he wants to drag you out of the place with a hand on your waist cause he hates how they’re looking at you. after you’re finally left alone his feelings would immediately show, and he wouldn’t try to hide them; he couldn’t even if he tried. he’d sit down to talk to you about it, and after you assure him there’s nothing to worry about he’d calm down, and treat you like a princess till the rest of the night (he always treats you like that but when he’s jealous he really goes all out)

it’s a little bit difficult to put my thoughts together when it comes to him. on one side i see him get jealous easily, but then not so much. i see him being more vulnerable when it comes to this in the beginning stages of your to-be-relationship - when you’re in the talking stage, going on dates, but still haven’t talked about anything more than that. when he’s jealous he might overthink things a bit, and contemplate for a while if it’s something that he should bring up or not. that’s why i see him waiting to see if ‘this something’ happens again or grows into something bigger. if not, eventually he would just add it into the conversation lightly without any conflict in mind. when you show him he’s the only one you’re interested in, he most likely would double the physical contact while also putting his arm around you, and grabbing your hand more confidently in public

in a relationship i see him keeping his jealousy moments to himself, and i think those jealousy moments won’t be many tbh. he might even feel good if he catches guys checking you out, cause he knows you’re all his and you would never give those guys even a crumble of your attention. if someone tries to spark a conversation that rubs him the wrong way he’d be extra touchy with you or pull you on his lap, but he won’t feel the urge to bring it up after you’re left alone, cause in his mind that would be unnecessary. if you make him feel secure and loved, then i don’t see him paying too much attention to his temporary sparks of jealousy. he might even make a joke about it to make you laugh, “did you see that guy checking you out? in front of me?!”

i see him a mixture of jiseok and gunil. a part of him would feel good, proud even, that his gorgeous girlfriend is desired by people who can’t have her, but if someone tries to cross a boundary he’d hold you close and change the direction of the conversation. his body language when he’s with you would always be enough of a sign that you’re together, and there’s a chance depending on the situation he might get overprotective, but in a subtle way if that even makes sense? he wouldn’t want to ruin your mood on the spot or make you uncomfortable, so he would wait for you to get home and talk about it. the conversation would be chill and would end in a lot of soft kisses and i love you-s

“its dark outside, and raining. my arms are much safer.” junhan whined out after at least thirty minutes of your protesting.

“but that cafe is just right down the street! plus it’s not even raining that bad! you know? that’s what they make umbrellas for!” you let out with a slightly defeated sigh. knowing junhan was far from letting you go anywhere even if it was just a slight drizzle.

for months now, you had been anticipating the opening of a new cafe. just right down the street from your apartment and right along the way to junhans studio. which you often ended up at anyways. the cafe was simple, really. nothing out of the ordinary, just somewhere you thought would be a new nice spot to meet junhan at. but of course of all days, it just had to rain today which resulted in a whiney junhan and never-ending complaints from you.

“have you finally given up?’ junhan says while going to grab his glass of water sitting on your nightstand.

“guess so….. and now its showing we are under a flash flood warning…. great” you said with a sigh of defeat.

“okay, how about this? For today I can teach you something on my guitar to take your mind off of everything, and tomorrow we can start new!” junhan says while leaning over to look at your now pouted face

sighing in defeat you give him a little nod and soon enough he’s already running back into your room with his guitar. as he sits down you cant help but notice how lovely he is. you love moments like this. when he wears hoodies and sweatpants, the way his orange fluffy hair frames his face so perfectly, and his glasses. his white framed glassed that sit atop his beautifully framed face so well. nothing could compare to the way you felt about junhan. the way you always felt so safe around him and even his bandmates. junhan may be shy but he never would be shy of showing his love for you. the little moments of eye contact or the subtle head pats he would give you even in his busiest moments are what all made it worth it.

“y/n, here!” junhan says as he moves behind you while he places his guitar in your lap snapping you out of your thoughts.

oh how you loved this. junhan resting so nicely behind you while you sit between his legs. the way the lighting in your bedroom never failed to illuminate his hands almost perfectly. his hands were beautiful, almost like they came straight from a painting. the way his veins ran down his index finger every time he would move the guitar around. sometimes you would catch yourself staring at them, admiring them.

as junhan moves in closer, he’s now encaged you in his arms with his beautiful surf green guitar right in your lap. once he begins to teach you something you can’t help but giggle.

“junhan….” You said with a pause. “you’re so cute when you teach me about things you love.” And you were right. junhan was a sight as he began to explain where your hands needed to be and what kind of sound would come out if you pressed onto the guitar string. junhan loves nothing more than being in the moment with his guitar and if that means with you then he is in a seventh heaven.

as the night grows dark and the storm continues to grow, so does the fright building up in your body. with every thunder crack your mind begins to wander and junhan begins to notice when you accidentally play a sour note on the song you been working on for a few hours now.

“i think it’s time we try to lay down hmm?” junhan says while gets up and begins remove the guitar from your lap.

“don’t go, please stay.” you said as seeing junhan was going to put his guitar up.

“love,” he said with a sigh, “i’m just going to put this up, i’ll be right back. i promise.” junhan says as soon as a loud crack of thunder could be heard bouncing from each wall in your apartment.

with that, you shutter. you’ve never really enjoyed storms. rain you can handle but for some reason thunder isn’t something you’re so fond of. you look over at junhan and he decides to just set his guitar down on your guitar stand that you had in your room as your guitar was sitting on your couch from your last playing session the night before.

“come here” junhan says in a light tone after shutting your door and crawling into your bed.

nothing could have helped your fear of storms unless it was junhan. the way he would hold you in his arms even if you cried. when he would rub your back and lure you into a light slumber when the rain was just a tad bit too loud for your own liking.

wrapping around him felt like all your worries had suddenly exited your body. taking in his scent and how warm he was. to you, this was your safe space, and you wouldn’t want it any other way.

as you drift off to sleep, all you can feel is a little kiss to your head and a whisper of “I love you.” In this moment, this was home. your home.

The sun shone brightly in the sky creating a cozy, warm temperature. There was a gentle breeze blowing. It was perfect picnic weather. Which is how you and Hyeongjun found yourself packing lunch together to go out and have a picnic date. 

After finishing packing up your lunch the pair of you headed out. Hyeongjun carried the basket in one hand and held your hand with the other. The two of you shared headphones as you walked to your destination, a cute little flower field. It was a bit out of the way, but the scenery was well worth it. It was the perfect spot to have your picnic together.

Once you arrived at the flower field, first you and Hyeongjun unfolded the blanket you brought. Smoothing down the edges before settling down on top of it. Next you got your food out of the basket, laying it neatly in between the two of you. The atmosphere was light and easy. 

“I’m glad that we’re doing this. It’s so pretty here,” you say. 

“Me too,” he agreed. Hyeongjun admired the way the breeze gently blew through your hair, causing some stray strands to fly about. Some get caught across your face, making you brush them aside. Even with your hair in your face Hyeongjun thought you looked beautiful. With the sun glowing down on you and the flowers behind you. He wanted to snap a picture of you at this moment, yet he felt a bit shy about doing so. Still he managed to pull his phone from his pocket, trying to act like he was doing something else with his phone when he was really taking a picture of you. You could tell what he was doing, but let him do it anyway. Especially when you saw the way he smiled at the picture afterwards. 

“Say ahh,” you told Hyeonjun, holding out a piece of fruit for him to eat. At first he laughed at you feeling a bit embarrassed, but then he opened his mouth letting out a short “ah”. You plopped the piece of fruit into his mouth. While chewing Hyeongjun picks up a piece of fruit and gestures for you to open your mouth. You happily do, smiling when you feel him carefully place the fruit in your mouth. 

After you both have finished eating you pack the stuff back into the basket. Now you lay side by side on the blanket looking up at the clouds. 

“That one looks like a pancake.” You stuck your finger out pointing to a cloud. 

“It looks like a circle?” Hyeongjun turned to look at you quiz-fully. 

“Yeah, so it could be a pancake,” you state. 

“Or a cotton ball,” he remarked. 

“Ooh, no. It’s a bunny tail.” you turned over onto your side, reaching out a hand to boop Hyeongjuns nose. His nose scrunches at your action, a small laugh leaving his lips. 

“Ok, it’s a bunny tail,” he said. You positioned yourself to now lay on Hyeongjun’s chest. He wrapped his arms around your frame. Then he brings one hand up to run through your hair. Both of you stay like that for a while, enjoying your time together. The warm sun acts as a cozy blanket. The breeze faintly brings over the aroma of the flowers. It’s a perfect moment that neither you or Hyeongjun want to end.
