Angst, loves torturing favorite characters, made me ship ships I never even thought to have a thing for.

listen, are they really your favorite characters if you dont love to make them suffer at least a little t i n y bit? it's always all about that angst. if a character doesn't make me go "...okay but what do they look like brokenhearted and lost and hopeless and drowning in despair, sure as the night is dark that no one loves them? what do they look like yearning to be worthy of love and companionship and tendernesssss. what would they do to be worthy of those things, despite the fact that they already are. who is the person that'll eventually make them realize thatttt. how much torment and emotional agony can they endure and still continue to yeaaaaaaarn."

like. if you dont make your faves suffer, is the payoff really even worth it? are they really even your faves?

(these are rhetorical lmao it doesnt fucking matter babes you do you. but damn if I don't love to kick my favorite character into a metaphorical pit of broken glass just so the other half of my otp can haul them back out)

but as for inspiring people into shipping things they wouldn't normally ship... yes. yes I seem to be really... really good at that :3
